You all know what time it is. Time for the boss! Hopefully the changes I make won't be too cringy. A few questions. As you guys saw from the last Chapter, Asuna was voted instead of Sinon. But, do you guys still want Sinon in the story? This story will only focus on the assassin's time in SAO. I might decide to do one with ALO and/or GGO, but that'll be up to you guys. Also, who should also appear from the Assassination Classroom. I already have one planned out, but who else?

Disclaimer: I don't own Assassination Classroom or Sword Art Online. Assassination Classroom is owned by Yusei Matsui and Shueisha. Sword Art Online is owned by Reki Kawahara and Shueisha.

"Diavel!" Diavel turned. Nagisa walked up to him. It was the day of the raid, and they were about to go fight the boss

"Shisa, right? What's up?" Diavel greeted.

"I met with a few beta testers-"

"Beta testers!?" Kibaou walked to them angrily. "Look asshole, you better pick a side, or-"

"Shut up. I'm trying to say something important." Nagisa snapped. He turned back to Diavel. "The beta testers I met with told me that there's a few things different about SAO than how it was in the Beta test. We should keep our guards up." Diavel nodded thoughtfully.

"Thanks for telling me." Diavel thanked the assassin. He turned to see that the raid group had gathered together. It was around 10 o'clock. The dungeon containing the boss will need about an hour to get through. There were almost 50 players, much of which was at least level 20. They were at the town gates, ready to travel. There were seven teams, two tanking teams, three assault teams, and two more support teams.

"All right everyone, listen up! Shisa here told me some valuable information. Apparently some beta testers noticed that there were some differences between the beta test and the released version. The information might be wrong, so be careful. With that out of the way, let's go get this boss!" Diavel declared. A cheer emerged from the entire group as they moved out.

-Line Break-

"Hup!" Kazuto grunted as he swung his sword. The Kobold Sentinel in front of him let out a screech as it was sent flying back "Switch!"

"Hah!" Asuna grunted as she dashed past Kazuto. Her rapier almost disappeared as she stabbed the Sentinel. It shattered with a single blow.

"Nice attack!" Kazuto said in amazement. "Did you do fencing in the real world?" Asuna nodded slightly, but didn't say anything. Kazuto sweatdropped at the silence. He looked over at Nagisa and Hotaru. Nagisa knocked back the mobs as Hotaru rushed under his arm, stabbing the mobs with her dagger. She smiled happily as Nagisa gave her a pat on her head in approval.

"Are they siblings?" Asuna spoke. Kazuto looked at her, before turning back to the duo.

"No, but they certainly seem so, huh?" Kazuto mused. With how Nagisa treats Hotaru, and the hair color, it definitely seemed as though they were family. Kazuto briefly thought back to his sister, Suguha, and felt a pang of jealousy.

'I'll try to connect with her more.' he decided. The four walked back to the raiding party. Diavel and his party was ahead, clearing the way as the rest picked off the stragglers.

"Okay everyone! The boss room is just half a kilometre ahead. Let's keep going!" Diavel encouraged. Nagisa looked after the knight, his face impassive. Kazuto looked at him curiously.

'He and his party are the only ones in the lead, taking the most of the loot and exp. Looks like what Karma told me is right.' Nagisa thought as his party jogged after the lead group.

The raiding party continued on for another 30 minutes, killing mobs all along the way. Hotaru and several other people handed out healing potions to help them recover after each battle. Before long, the raiders reached the end of the dungeon. The raiding party had all taken out chunks of bread to eat and juice to drink. The group rested, because the majority of them were butt tired. Despite the fact that they were in a video game, they couldn't keep going due to lack of stamina.

"You'd think that these guys would've had more energy. I spent most of my life sitting in my room on my computer, and I have more stamina than these guys." Kazuto laughed.

"Kinda weird that real world athletics are translated into the game." Nagisa chuckled as well. Nagisa looked towards the girls, then raised a brow. Asuna was looking at Kazuto from the corner of her eye. She noticed that Nagisa was looking at her and looked away from the dark haired swordsman. Nagisa smirked, amused.

"All right everyone! Now that we've rested a bit, it's time for the boss! Remember, keep your eyes out for anything that goes against what's in the guidebook. Let's all get back to the world alive." Diavel spoke. The raid party cheered as they all rose.

"Ready?" Kazuto asked as he got into a stance. Asuna nodded as she drew her rapier. Nagisa and Hotaru also got into their own stance. Nagisa took a quick look at Hotaru and frowned.

"Your feet Hotaru." He told his apprentice. She looked down quickly, and shifted her feet. She looked back up with steel in her eyes. As the door opened, the raiding party charged in, yelling on the top of their lungs. The room, though completely dark a few seconds ago, was quickly filled with a beautiful light.

"Look!" Hotaru pointed. A large monster leapt at them with an intimidating growl. It was almost 4 meters tall, with red fur all over. Four health bars were shown, along with its level, being 35. It swung around a large bone axe and had a thick leather and wood shield strapped onto its arm. It let out a roar in challenge.

"All right everyone! Stick to the plan, and keep an eye out!" Diavel called. The players let out their own roar as they charged forward. Kobold Sentinels spawned and charged.

"Squads F and G, go!" Diavel ordered. Nagisa and his party charged forward along with another party. They fought off the Sentinels, parrying and countering them all, one by one. The tanking squads and assault squads attacked the boss fiercely. The tanks, led by Agil and another player with a lot of armor, blocked and knocked back Illfang's attacks. The assaults, led by Diavel, Kibaou, and another with a two-handed sword, attacked it while it was off balance.

"Doing good Hotaru!" Nagisa called as the younger girl took down another Sentinel. She smiled in glee, but stopped when Illfang roared. His health was almost down, with an eight of his health bar.

"Fall back! I'll handle this myself!" Diavel ordered. He charged forward as his sword began glowing.

'What?' Kazuto thought. 'I thought the plan was to surround him and-' he stopped, his blood ran cold. Illfang didn't pull out a talwar like the book said, it pulled out a nōdachi.

"Diavel, don't!" Kibaou looked over at Kazuto, who had yelled at Diavel. "That's not a talwar, it's a nōdachi!"

Illfang roared and unleashed an omnidirectional katana skill, stunning everyone, freezing them in place.

"Dammit!" Diavel panicked, trying to run away. But it was too late. Illfang dashed around the room and off the pillars. Leaping at Diavel, the monstrous boss attacked the knight with a four-hit combo, launching him back. Landing amongst the remaining players, the monster roared, before attacking. Yells and screams rang out as people tried to run. Kazuto ran over to Diavel as his health ran low.

"Why did you do that? Are you stupid?" Kazuto scolded. He pulled out a health potion. "Drink this." Diavel pushed it away. He looked at Kazuto, shaking.

"You're a beta tester, aren't you? You know why." Kazuto sucked in a sharp breath.

"The last attack bonus. You wanted to get the rare item drop, didn't you?" Kazuto realized. "Were you a beta tester too?" Diavel smiled.

"You have to defeat the boss. For everyone." he begged quietly, before he shattered. Kazuto looked down where Diavel was, and thought to himself.

'All this time, I only focused on my own survival. But Diavel wanted to help others. He didn't abandon the others. He led, and fought bravely.' Kazuto realized. Looking up, he saw the raid group being pushed back. Gripping his sword, he stood. Asuna rushed over and stood by his side.

"I'll follow you." she said quietly. Kazuto nodded, before the two charged. Nagisa and Hotaru followed, running besides them.

"Same strategy as the sentinels!" Kazuto said.

"Got it." Asuna agreed.

"Everyone! Get back and recover. We'll handle this!" Nagisa called. Illfang looked and snarled, accepting their silent challenge. Kazuto yelled as he activated a sword skill, knocking away Illfang's sword. Asuna switched, readying her blade. Illfang's eyes glinted as it recovered quickly, lashing out.

"Watch out!" Kazuto warned in a panic. Nagisa charged in and countered with his own skill, just barely blocking the attack. The blade swiped Asuna's cloak, revealing an orange brown head, wearing a dark red tunic, with a light copper chestplate. Hotaru rushed in as Asuna recovered, both girls attacking at the same time. Kazuto gazed at Asuna in awe, before snapping out of his trance as Illfang growled.

"Here he comes again!" he rushed. He parried Illfang's attack, allowing Asuna another blow. Nagisa and Hotaru rushed in from behind, attacking simultaneously. Kirito rushed in, blocking several attacks, but cursed as he over-swung, getting knocked back into Asuna.

"Kazuto!" Hotaru called in worry. She rushed over, but cried out as Illfang targeted her. Nagisa rushed in and unleashed a furious attack.

"Stay away from her!" he yelled in anger. Hotaru ran towards Kazuto, but stopped as Nagisa was also knocked back. Turning around, she prepared her dagger as Illfang charged.

"We got this!" Agil grunted as he charged in front of the little girl, swinging his axe with all his might. Illfang was knocked back, roaring as the other teams charged. "Take this time to recover!"

"Here!" Hotaru said. She gave her party members some healing potions, and her secret weapons. Lesser Speed Potions.

Illfang growled as it blocked the attacks from the tanks, leaping high and cleaving down with it's nōdachi.

"Look out!" Kazuto called out as he and Nagisa charged. Their speed enhanced, they knocked Illfang right out of the air.

"Asuna! One last attack! Together!" Kazuto yelled as he charged.

"Roger!" Asuna replied. Nagisa and Hotaru charged past them, knocking away the nōdachi. Illfang staggered back as Kirito and Asuna rushed it. Yelling at the top of their lungs, they slashed and stabbed it, before Kirito swung his sword upwards with all his might, launching Illfang through the air with one final strike. Illfang roared, before dissolving in a brilliant light.

Staring in shock, the raid party was silent before one of them broke out into cheer, prompting everyone to cheer as well. The words "congratulations," hung over them as they celebrated. Kazuto panted as he looked at the icon in front of him, telling him of his last attack bonus.

"Good work." he looked behind him, seeing Agil and Asuna. The rest of the group also looked at him as they drank health potions. Nagisa and Hotaru beamed at him.

"That was some excellent swordsmanship." Agil complimented. "This victory belongs to you."

"No, I-" Kazuto was cut off by the sounds of claps and cheers.

"Why!" Kibaou's voice silenced the cheers. They turned and saw him kneeling. "Why did you let Diavel die?"

"Let him die?" Kazuto replied heistantly.

"Of course! You knew what technique the boss would use! Why didn't you tell him!? He would still be alive if you had told him!"

"He must be an ex-beta tester! That's how he knew the boss's attack patterns!" one of Kibaou's companions accused. Murmurs broke out as the players looked at each other and him in anger.

"That's enough." Agil stepped forward. "We already know that there were differences between the beta test and the official release. There's no way that he would have known." but he was ignored. The damage was done, and the players were turning against Kazuto. Nagisa's bloodlust brewed as he looked at Kibaou.

'Those bastards," he thought in anger.

"There are others right? Other beta testers in this room! Show yourselves!" Kibaou's party member demanded angrily. The people looked at each other in suspicion. Kazuto looked at them with unease. Looking at the notification, he gulped.

"Kibaou, you-" Nagisa said murderously, before he was cut off by Kazuto's voice. It was laughing, laughing cruelly.

"An ex-beta tester? You shouldn't compare me to those noobs." Kazuto said smugly.

"W-what!?"

"The beta test slots were mostly filled with beginners who didn't even know the meaning of leveling up. Inferior to even you guys. Not me." Kazuto walked through the stunned crowd. "I made it to even higher levels, surpassed all of them. I knew what to expect when I saw the boss use that skill, because I saw mobs use them on higher floors. I know more than any info broker."

"Y-you're not a beta tester then. You're a cheater. A cheater!" Kibaou yelled. The mob joined in, yelling about how he was a cheater. Nagisa was quiet. He scanned Kazuto's face, and paused. Hotaru tried to speak, but was cut off by Nagisa's hand on her shoulder.

'Kazuto, if this is really what you choose, then I won't interfere.' he thought to himself. He hated this, but he understood why Kazuto needed to do it. Kazuto was making himself a target, drawing the hate away from the other beta testers onto himself.

"A beta tester, and a cheater. A beater!" Kazuto chuckled coldly.

"Beater? That's right, I'm a beater. That's a good name. A name for someone who stands above you fools."

"You're not better than us!" Kazuto opened his menu and equipped his rare item. A long, black leather cloak draped itself over him.

"My sweet-ass coat begs to differ." Kazuto smirked. He walked off towards the exit. "Remember me. Kirito the beater. Don't mistake me for the other testers."

Nagisa looked after Kirito in silence. He began to walk after him, but was cut off by Asuna.

"Take care of Hotaru." she said quietly. Nagisa stared at her in surprise as she walked after Kirito, before sighing in resignation.

"Wait." Kirito stopped, a few stairs away from the exit. Asuna stood a few steps below. He quietly dissolved the party as Asuna watched.

"You and the others can become strong. If anyone you trust invites you to join their guild, then accept their offer. There's a limit to what you can do alone." he began to walk away, before stopping. In front of him was a party invite. From Asuna.

"Practice what you preach." she said quietly. Kirito declined the invite, only for Asuna to send another one.

"If you come with me, you'll be hated."

"If someone hates me because of who I have ties with, then I don't care." Asuna replied curtly. Kirito looked at her, before accepting the invite. Asuna walked up and stood besides him.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked quietly as the door opened. She nodded. Kirito walked past the doors, heading to the second floor, Asuna following right behind.

That's chapter 5. Let me know what you all think. Do you all like the idea of Asuna accompanying him? Did you like the fight scene? It's really similar to the one in the anime, but I thought that the fight itself was good enough, so I only changed it so that Nagisa and Hotaru were in it as well. Once again, if you guys want Sinon to appear, leave a review. If you guys want to see a certain character from AssClass to appear, leave a review. And, as per the usual, leave a review. Azure Out!
