Fairy Tail Mommies!:

AN: I'M BBBBBBBAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK! And since last time I left I came back with a oneshot of the Daddies taking care of their babies, I decided to come back with one about the Mommies. (Especially since Mother's Day is around the corner.)

"And with that stunning last move, Fairy Tail's Koree Redfox wins with a staggering 87 points!"

"Wow…" Levy breathed as she watched the playback of the 25th Grand Magic Games. Everyone had returned to their hotel rooms to sleep for the night. The celebration ball wouldn't be until tomorrow night. The celebration ball thrown in Fairy Tail's honor. For the fifteenth year they had won. And all thanks to their children. The adults had been incapacitated the entire games, trapped in an alternate dimension, forcing their children to take over. But their children had pulled through. That had won!

Persephone and Koree won.

"Koree…" Levy breathed as she watched her little girl take a bow in the middle of the arena. Her eyes never left the screen as a smile played on her lips.

She did that.

Her Koree really did that!

Levy rewound the footage and watched it again.

Was that really her little girl out there? Kicking everyone's butt?

"Wow…" Levy gasped. It seemed like it was only yesterday when Koree had found her magic. Levy chuckled as she remembered how shocked she'd been that day. First she and Gajeel had run all over their resort, worried sick as they tried to find their girls. Then, after they'd found the girls, Levy had wondered how the hole in the child area's fence appeared in the first place.

It turned out to be all Koree's fault!

Apparently the little toddler thought the metal bars of the fence looked tasty and ate a hole big enough for all the children to escape through.

Levy giggled again. Koree was taking a bite out of bigger things now, such as poison, activating her Poison-Iron dragon mode and destroying everyone.

Levy watched as Koree completed her final move, using her buzz saw and chain to spin around the arena, collecting all the tokens, projecting Fairy Tail right to the front.

Levy shook her head. How could such a tiny girl have so much raw power?

Well, not tiny anymore. Koree was eleven, growing up far too fast for Levy's liking.

Levy sighed deeply as she continued watching the games.

As Persephone's match came on the screen, Levy leaned forward, interest peaked. There were a series of puzzle and riddels for this round, huh? Well, no wondered the children picked Persephone to play. This was right up her alley!

Even with her confidence in her daughter, Levy was not prepared for how quickly Persephone moved through each of the rooms, mastering each riddle long before the other competitors did.

"Look at you go," Levy whispered, tears pooling in her eyes. "My little genius."

She wiped at her face. The last year had been tough on Persephone. A lifetime of being compared to a dragon slayer sister had finally caught up to her, manifesting in a horrid eating disorder. Persephone was starting to overcome it, but some days were still harder than others.

Still, watching this, watching her little girl succeed and completely trash the competition made Levy's heart soar.

"Whatcha still doing up, Shrimp?" came a tired voice from behind Levy. She turned to find Gajeel walking towards her, leaning over the back of the couch and setting his arms around her.

Levy turned back to the screen, watching as Perspehone made her way back to the dugout.

"Our girls are amazing," she whispered.

"Well, yeah," Gajeel chuckled. "How could they not be with a mom like you."

"Oh, stop it," Levy playfully bumped him with her shoulder.

"Mom? Dad?" Gajeel and Levy turned to see Koree and Persephone peaking out of their room.

"What are you rugrats still doing up?" Gajeel asked.

"We couldn't sleep," Persephone said. "We-"

She was cut off as Koree ran to them, jumping onto the couch and throwing her arms around her parents' shoulders.

"We missed you guys!" Koree cried.

"We missed you too," Levy said, wrapping one arm around Koree's shoulder and holding her other out for Persephone.

Despite her usually standoffish persona, Persephone ran right to Levy, snuggling into her mother's embrace.

Levy smiled as she ran a hand over Persephone's hair. "Y'know, Nashi talked a lot about you."

"What for?" Persephone asked, looking surprised.

"She told me you were the one who communicated with her while she was looking for us in that other dimension," Levy answered. "And that you were the one who found out those six children were being held captive by Elena. And that you helped formulate and orchestrate the plan to save them."

"Eh," Persephone shrugged. "I was just doing what had to be done."

Levy smiled as she cupped Persephone's face in her hands, face gentle but serious.

"No, you went above and beyond to do whatever it took to get us home safely. We'd probably still be trapped in that other dimension had you not helped out as much as you did, and those children would still be either held captive or killed."

"Sheesh, Mom, you're making me blush," Persephone muttered, ducking her head to hide her reddening cheeks.

"She's right, though," Koree said.

"You're not helping," Persephone grumbled.

Levy just chuckled as she kissed Persephone's forehead. "I'm so proud of you."

Persephone smiled. "Thanks, Mom."

Levy smiled at her once again and turned to Koree. "And I'm proud of you, too! Don't think I didn't see you kick butt in that match!"

"Those other guys didn't stand a chance, huh, Mom?" Koree asked, grinning.

"They sure didn't," Levy agreed.

Koree gave her mother a strange look, then dove in a hugged her tight.

"Koree?" Levy asked.

"I'm glad you're back, Mom," Koree whispered in a watery voice.

"Yeah," Persephone said, snuggling close to her mother and looking up at her father, who was still standing behind the couch. "We're both glad you guys are back and that you're okay."

"Heh," Gajeel smiled, storking Persephone's cheek. "We're glad to be back too, Sephy."

"Can we just not go to bed?" Koree asked. "Can we just stay here with you guys?"

"Heh, I don't see why not," Gajeel smiled, looking down at Levy, who smiled back.

"I suppose one night won't hurt."

"Yay!" Koree cheered, snuggling closer agains her mother.

"I'll get some blankets," Gajeel said before disappearing back into the bedroom.

"Can you read us a story like you did when we were little, Mom?" Koree asked.

Levy's heart soared. "Of course! I'm not sure if I brough the book I used to read to you guys from, though."

"Here," Persephone said, conjuring up a screen that had an old story written on it.

Levy chuckled. "You always have a back up plan, don't you Persephone?" Levy asked.

"Yup," Persephone answered, leaning her head on her mother's shoulder. Koree cralwed out of Levy's lap and leaned against her shoulder.

Gajeel returned with blankets that he draped over his girls, chuckling as he smiled at the story on the screen.

"You two always did like that story, huh?" he asked.

"Of course, it's about twins, like us!" Koree answered.

"Sh! Quiet so mom can read," Persephone said.

Levy smiled as Gajeel climbed over the couch and settled next to his wife and daughters. Levy slipped one hand into his as she began reading:

"There once was a woman who had twin daughters. One's skin was as light as snow. The other's hair was as read as roses. So she named her daughter's Snow-White and Rose-Red. The girls were very fond of each other, and always played together, holding hands as they ran through the forests and fields…"

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Erza sniffled, holding a hand to her mouth as she watched the footage from the Grand Magic Games, from the first game round.

Roman had been doing so well, he was about to win! And then at the last moment he'd been sturck by a horrible spell that attacked every nerve in his body, causing him excrutiating pain.

Erza had been warned about the incident before she began watching it, but seeing her little boy thrash and scream on the ground as his body trembled with unbearable pain made her heart break into a million pieces.

How terrifying that must have been for Roman! To be in that much pain and not know why! And niether she nor Jellal were there to comfort or protect him.

He'd been left all alone. Not only to care for his younger siblings. Not only to represent his guild. But to also be subjected to excrutiating pain and humiliation.

Erza flipped the screen off and began pacing about her hotel room, running her hands over her face as she tried to collect herself. Her son's screams echoed in her mind. She'd been told that it had taken three days for Storm to restore him to full health after that incident.

Erza shook her head, cursing herself at not being able to protect her son. She wiped the tears off her face. She didn't want to watch anymore footage. She wasn't sure her heart could take it. But she'd been told that Roman had particiapted in another round.

She had to watch it. She had to see what had happened. Her boy deserved for his mother to know what he went through to save her and maintain their guild's honor.

Erza sat on the couch, flipped the screen on, and skipped to Roman's next match. She watched in awe as he scaled the tower with relative ease. She screamed when Micah kicked him and Bianca off the tower.

"He better be glad he's in jail where I can't get to him!"

She watched, jaw dropping as Roman climbed his way back to the top.

Clutching both hands to her heart as she watched him and Bianca perform:

"A unison raid?"

Until now the Redfox twins had been the only ones of the children to perfrom a unison raid. Now here was Roman, blowing the competition away with one of his best friends. Standing tall and proud, despite his competition as he and Bianca won the match for their guild.

Erza switched the screen off again and just sat there, staring at the black space ahead of her.

Even after the horribly traumatic event Roman went through he still got back in the arena. He saved his friend's life. He defended his family's honor. And he won.

She watched as Minette raced to the location the children selected to be Fairy Tail's base. She watched as her little daughter stood patrol and found off intruders. As Von, Eva, and Roman raced to join their sister, to defend her and the rest of their family.

Erza had heard stories about the triplets. How they stood guard over Luna while the older children went to save Nashi and confront the guild harrassing them. They'd been diligent in their task. No one came anywhere near the little girl. Her children kept her safe.

Erza switch the screen off and ran a hand over her face, wiping her tears away. She stood and walked into her children's rooms. She stopped at the girl's room first.

Both Eva and Minette were asleep. Erza tiptoed to Minette's bed first, pulling the blanket down just enough to see her daughter's face. She had a soft smile on her face, obviously dreaming sweet dreams. She looked like a beautiful porcelain doll at the moment, but she'd proven that she was anything but fragile. She was strong, talented and brave. So, so brave.

Erza kissed Minette's forehead and then moved over to Eva's bed. She held a rag doll to her chest, looking like any other little girl. But she wasn't. Not just any little girl would run into a brawl or agree to defend a baby against a dark guild. Just like her sister, she was strong, talented, and so, so brave.

Erza kissed her forehead, tiptoed out of the girl's room, and moved to the boys.

Von had somehow squirmed out from under all his blakets in his sleep, laying in a crumpled heap on the quilts, snoring softly.

More tears pooled in Erza's eyes as she moved to tuck him back it.

Von had come a long, long way!

He'd gone from fighting for his very life as a tiny, premature baby, to fighting the strongest guilds in Fiore. The lessons with Natsu were starting to pay off. He was showing no signs of genuine dragon slayer magic yet, but he was getting stronger. Hopefully the dragon-like qualities would shine through soon. Shining as bright as his courage.

Erza finished tucking her son in and kissed his forehead.

"Mommy?"

Erza turned to find Roman sitting up, rubbing at his eyes sleepily.

"Is Von okay?"

After everything he'd been through his little brother was still his main concern. Of her four children Roman no doubt had the hardest time while she was being held captive. Yet, he still put his siblings and his families ahead of himself.

Erza ran to him and snatched him into her arms.

"Mommy?" Roman asked, surprised as he heard his mother sniff. "Mommy, are you okay? Why are you crying?"

"I'm fine," Erza assured him. "I'm just so proud of you."
Roman gasped again, then smiled, and wrapped his arms around his mother's neck. Erza ran her hand ovr his hair, then gasped when she heard him sniff.

"Roman?" she asked. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," Roman said, wiping at his face. "I'm just glad you're back."

Erza smiled, kissing his forhead. "I'm glad to be back too."

"I was scared," Roman admitted as Erza pulled him into another hug. "I was scared I'd never see you again."

Erza smiled, running her hand over his head. "Do you really think there's any magic strong enough keep me from coming back to my little ones?" she asked softly.

"No, I guess not," Roman replied, a strange tone in his voice.

"Roman, what is it?" Erza asked.

"Nothing, just…" Roman squirmed uncomfortably. "Have you watched the game footage yet?"

Erza held him tighter. "Yes, and I'm so proud of you!"

"Really? You're not...upset for me throwing the first round?"

"What!?" Erza exclaimed, pulling Roman back and turning his face towards her. "Of course not, why would you think that?"

"Well, because, a spell like that wouldn't have stopped you," Roman answered, rubbing at the back of his neck. "But it did stop me. And so-"

"You don't know that," Erza cut him off. "I wasn't there in your shoes, so we'll never know how I would have reacted."

"Sure we do," Roman said. "You're Titania, nothing stops you. And I thought I was turning out to be like you but...I guess not…"

Erza brow furrowed as she tilted Roman's face back towards her. "Roman, you listen to me very closely, alright? You're not me. You're not Erza Scarlet. You're Titania. You're Roman Robert Fernandez, the Fairy Ninja. And that's exactly who you should be. Don't try to be me. Be yourself. Be Roman. Because Roman on his own is good enough."

Roman smiled, tears brimming his eyes again as he dove in to hug is mother.

"It's good to have you back, Mommy."

Erza smiled, wrapping her arms around Roman. "It's good to be back."

July grumbled in his sleep, still curled up in his mother's lap.

"Sh," Mirajane whispered, running a hand over his head. It had been over twenty-four hours since they'd finally made it back to their own world, but July refused to let his mother out of his sight. Even when it was bedtime, he cried and cried until Mirajane set him in her lap. Only then did he finally go to sleep.

"Poor little thing," Mirajane crooned as she kissed the top of his head. "You must have been so terrified."

July didn't answer, only stirred slightly as he settled back to sleep.

"You're Papa and I were scared too," Mirajane continued as she wrapped both arms around July and began rocking him. "We were scared what would happen to you, and your brother, and your sister while we were gone." She chuckled softly. "I guess we really didn't have a lot to worry about, though. Your siblings took very good care of you and the other kids while we were gone. Especially your sister."

July yawned as he settled back down. Mirajane smiled before standing up, carrying him back to bed. She stopped in the doorway of Cato's room, poking her head in to check on him. He was sound asleep, curled up in a little ball.

Farrah may have been the main one to keep all the children calm and together, but Cato did his part. She'd overheard Persephone admitting that Cato kept a close eye on her, making sure she didn't fall back into her eating disorder under the stress. She'd also heard how Cato had been one of the ones who calmed Storm down after Nashi jumped through a portal with no opening to save her and the other adults.

He'd also done his part in the games, fighting during one of the battle rounds.

And nearly getting himself very badly hurt in the process.

Mirajane shuddered as she though about what would have happened had Benedict not been there to draw attention to Phoenix Grave's attack.

She remembered Mace's trial, seeing pictures of Reina, Benedict, Portia, and Vera covered in horrific acid burns. The idea of her little boy suffering that same fate? It was a nightmare.

And yet after coming so close to such a horrific injury Cato showed no fear. His main concern was with Benedict and the others' wellbeing.

Even under all the stress he'd stay calm, cool, collected, and kind.

"Just like his Mama," Laxus has said with pride when he heard. Mirajane smiled at her sleeping son as she reached to close his bedroom door back.

"I guess you did get a little bit of me afterall," she said softly. "Even if you look just like you're Papa."

She continued down the hall, stopping at Farrah's room. Farrah too, was asleep, a happy grin on her face as she slumbered.

Well, why wouldn't she be smiling? Today had been a big day for her. She passed a critical milestone in any young girl's life that afternoon.

She'd gotten her first boyfriend!

Mirajan smiled as she thought about it.

Farrah and Benedict.

Benedict and Farrah.

Of course they were still young, they had a long way to go before making it to adulthood. But Mirajane had a sneaky suspicion that Benedict was the one for her girl. They were perfect for each other.

Sure, it was early to say that with certainty, but it was probably a good thing.

There had been talks about what would happen to the guild after Laxus retired, but Mirajane wasn't so worried about it anymore.

Without hesitation, Farrah stepped up and took charge. She did what she had to do to keep the other children as calm as possible. Even under the immense stress they must have felt with no adults to guide them, Farrah kept them together. She took care of her family with the natural guidance that any guildmaster would need.

Of course that was also several years away, but still, it was ice to have that assurance.

And when that day would come Farrah wouldn't be alone. She'd have her brothers to help her.

And a certain young sound wizard too.

"You've come a long way, my sweet girl," Mirajane whispered as she closed Farrah's bedroom door. "I'm so proud of you."

Mirajane smiled all the wider as she made her way into hers and Laxus' bedroom, setting July on his cot, and climbing into her own bed. She laid down, and only then realized there were tears on her face. She wiped them away.

"Mira?" Laxus asked from the other side of the bed. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Mirajane answered. "It's just that…"

"That what?"

Mirajane smiled happily. "Our children are amazing."

Laxus smiled as he wrapped an arm around his wife. "They sure are."

IIIIIIIIIIIIIII

This was her fifth time checking on her children.

No seriously.

In the one hour since bedtime this was Juvia's fifth time making rounds through their hotel suite to make sure her children were still there. That they were still okay.

The six days that she had been away from them had been pure torture. She'd cried almost the whole time wondering what was happening to her little darlings without her and her husband there to protect them.

She spent every night hoping, praying, that somehow they would be okay. That she and Gray would be able to return to them soon.

And then they finally did. They finally made it back.

Her children were fine.

Juvia had never felt so relieved in her life. That feeling still hadn't faded. But it was accompanied by something else now, pride.

She made her way to Meeko's bedroom first, smiling at his sleeping form, all tangled in his blankets. She'd watched how he'd created a barrier of ice all over Fairy Tail's base in the final games. How he'd bravely defended his guild's honor. He was turning out to be more and more like his father everyday.

Even to the point that when his nightmare came back: Elena, the woman who had almost killed Juvia and almost kidnapped Meeko. When it was revealed that she was the one behind everything Meeko showed no fear. He didn't shy away, or cower, or run. He stood up and fought, never backing away from the challenge, willing ad ready to do what it took to save his family. Juvia smiled as she untangled his blankets and tucked him in, kissing his cheek.

She then made her way to Bianca's room. Bianca, too, was sound asleep. Of her four children Bianca had given Juvia the biggest heart attack upon returning. She'd watched the match Bianca fought in, how she'd nearly been sent plumetting to her death by Micah. Her throat still hurt from the scream she'd let out at the sight of her only daughter falling off the top platform, hundreds of miles above the ground.

Thank heavens Roman had been there to save her! And thank goodness Micah was already locked up. Had he not been, Juvia would be the one in jail right now for murder!

Even after that horrible scare, though, Bianca still came through in the grandest way possible. She performed a unison raid with Roman!

A unison raid!

Even Juvia had not been capable of such a feat until she was near adulthood, but her daughter had accomplished it at only ten years old.

"You're an angel in more ways than one, aren't you, Beloved?" Juvia asked softly as she kissed Bianca's forehead.

She then tiptoed to Storm's room. Like his two siblings, he was sound asleep, snoring, a small line of drool dripping out of the corner of his mouth. Juvia leaned agianst the doorway of his bedroom, watching him.

He'd done very well in the games, fighting alongside Farrah and winning. But that's not what Juvia was most proud of him for. It was everything he did outside of the arena that made her heart soar the most.

It was how he healed and soothed every injury, both physical and emotional. It was how he jumped to save his friends when they were in danger. How he'd cried and fought to help Nashi through when she was the most unreachable. It was how he cared and loved for his family in their parents' absence.

Gray had always said Storm was Juvia's spitting image. Juvia wasn't so sure about that. If she could be as brave and loving as her little boy then she would be proud!

He was amazing, they all were. And she was honored to be their mother.

"You're up again?"

Juvia turned at the sound of Gray's voice as he came stumbling towards her, Juven in the crook of his arm.

"I was just checking on the children," Juvia pouted.

"This is the fifth time you've checked!" Gray exclaimed. "They're fine, now go to sleep. You need your rest!"

"So do you," Juvia argued.

"I'm not the one who had to keep everyone hydrated while we were in that hell-hole," Gray retorted, ushering her back to their room. "You need your rest more than anyone."

Juvia didn't protest as Gray brought her back to their bed and tucked her in. She did, however, hold her arms out for Juven.

Gray relented with a smile, placing the baby in her arms. She cuddled the sleeping boy to her chest, smiling softly. Despite everything that had happened, Juven was as calm as ever. Juvia wondered if the baby had even noticed something was amiss. It wouldn't have been hard for one so young to miss what had happened. Especially with such amazing older siblings looking after him.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Lucy gently took the necklace off Luna's neck. The little girl was asleep now, and it was dangerous for such a little girl to sleep with a necklace on. Before she put it up she held the crystal charm in her palm and looked at it.

This had belonged to Luna's birth mother. Lucy thought about her often. She wondered if she could still watch Luna from wherever she was. If she was happy with where her little girl was.

She certainly couldn't have been happy about where her son was.

Lucy sighed as she stood to put the necklace up. And Fairy Tail had been so ready to help Carmen and the others, too. But they'd left, not wanting to cause anyone anymore trouble.

Kyri let out a loud cry of protest as her mother stood up. Lucy smiles softly as she lifted Kyri up and set her on her hip. She was the only one of the five children still awake. The older three had fallen asleep in the floor after spending the whole night wrestling with Natsu. Lucy carefully tiptoed over her husband and children. Natsu laid on his back, Nashi and Layla's heads pillowed against either of his shoulders, Igneel curled up on his chest.

Lucy chuckled as she made her way to the bedroom and set the necklace in her jewelry bag. Of course she'd let Luna have it again tomorrow if she wanted, but not whole she slept.

Lucy had no way of knowing for certain, but she had a sneaky suspicion that Luna's necklace would be to her what Natsu's scarf was to him.

Lucy carefully tiptoed back into the living room, smiling down at her husband and children.

These kids made her proud. She'd watched the game footage, at how hard Layla and Igneel had thought. Apparently kicking Twilight Ogre butt was a family tradition now! Her two middle children were growing stronger and stronger everyday. Igneel was becoming even more like his father. And Layla, date she say it, was turning out to be a lot like her.

And Nashi.

Lucy knelt down next to Nashi and ran a hand over her hair.

Her little girl had saved them. All of them. She'd jumped through a portal with no exit, with no way of knowing where she'd end up or what she'd find, to save them. She'd face unknown terrors and horrors to save her parents. Her family.

Lucy still didn't know what all had happened on Nashi's journey. She had talked about it. Something had definitely happened though. There was something different about Nashi now. She was quieter. More reserved. Her smile wasn't quite as bright.

She hadn't said what was bothering her yet, though. Lucy could only imagine the things she saw while trying to find them.

And yet she still found them. She braved through it all and saved them.

"My girl," Lucy whispered as she kissed Nashi's cheek. "My brave, brave girl."
