Chapter 5

As Maura and Jane are headed to the crime scene, Maura receives a call from the person she had reached out to about the case and a call from their OB/GYN about having an appointment available today at 3:30 p. m. for an check-up and maybe an ultrasound, they were both excited to be able to see little suga. Deciding to head back to headquarters, they notify Korsak, Susie, and Kent to go ahead and process the scene.

Arriving on the crime scene, everyone went to work canvasing, gathering evidence, interviewing, and processing the body. Kent was busy with the body, Susie was busy helping and directing the crime techs. She noticed a man that looked familiar to her, who was standing off to the side, trying very hard to blend into the crowd that had gathering, it made her uncomfortable, and even feel eerie, she quickly snapped a picture and finished processing the scene, the body was bagged, and loaded into the van.

Maura had instructed Susie on how to storage the body, so no evidence would be disturbed, Maura would do the autopsy when she returned from her appointment and that everyone was to leave early and report back to work at 9 AM. Susie and Kent never questioned Maura, she was their boss, so everyone left the morgue at 4 PM.

Across town Jane and Maura was preparing to see their child for the very first time. Maura was now 10 weeks, due to her age, her doctor were being very cautious, as well as her very overprotective wife, Jane. This was an unexpected blessing and miracle in both their eyes. Maura was checked out, little suga was stubborn like Jane, refusing to cooperate, the Doctor gave Maura prescriptions for prenatal vitamins, also was told to monitor her blood pressure, sugar levels, and to rest frequently. Jane promised to make sure her wife followed her Doctor instructions. Leaving the Doctor's office, they stopped by the pharmacy, filling the prescriptions, picking up the latest B/P and blood sugar monitoring systems and headed by to BPD. Getting Maura settled in the morgue, Jane ran back up stairs to get coffee and tea.

Maura was busy preparing the body for the autopsy, and waiting on Jane to return. This case was very puzzling to Maura, Jane and the rest of those involved. As she was placing a tray of instruments, and making sure she had the camera, and that the recording system was ready. She felt a hand on her shoulder, turning around quickly she came face to face with creepy Jack Armstrong, this caused her to step back. Smiling his creepy smile, he says "Maura, I am sorry to startle and surprise you, but I felt like that butchy, bitch, dyke Detective Jane Rizzoli, interrupted our little reunion upstairs, and I know that you have feelings for me, but don't want her to know because she is jealous. Now come with me, we can go somewhere no one will disturb us, I want to kiss you, hold you and make love to you since I never got the chance." Before Maura could reply, the clicking of a gun was heard. Jack's eyes went wide, he turned pale, as he felt the gun being pressed to his head, and the clicking of the gun. Maura looked over Jack's shoulder to she her friend and her husband standing there. FBI agent Seely Booth and his wife Dr. Temperance Brennan. Booth had his gun to Jack's head, 2 seconds later a very furious Segerant-Detective Jane Rizzoli busted through the autopsy suite doors. Not acknowledging Booth, Brennan, and Maura, she body slam Jack Armstrong to the floor, and started punching him in the face repeatedly. The only thing that stopped her was the feeling of her wife's hands on her shoulders. Catching her breath, Jane asked " Baby are you are, he didn't hurt you or the baby, please tell me you both are okay?" Taking Jane's face in both her hands, leaning in placing a soft, tender kiss on her lips, Maura says, "Sweetheart, we are both fine, Booth stopped him before he could do anything, I promise the baby and me are both fine, please calm down and get this low life creepy piece of crap out of my autopsy room, so Brennan and I can work, and the we can go home." Jane nodded.

Mr. Creepy Jack "the Jackass" Armstrong is now in the interrogation room, "yelling police brutality, saying Jane was jealous of Maura and his relationship. That Maura is in love with him, going on and on." Cavanaugh is shaking his head, finally the door opens revealing a still very furious Segerant-Detective Jane Rizzoli and FBI agent Seeley Seeley Booth. Jack stops mid rant, swallowing the big lump in his throat, going pale. Jane places a I pad on the table in front of him and give her best fake smile. Clearing her throat, "Mr. Armstrong, I think you might want to rethink what you are saying. Let me show you a very interesting piece of information on this I pad. Jack nodded, never taking her eyes off Jane. Pushing play the video shows him sneaking into the morgue, through the loading dock entrance, waiting for Maura to arrive, then sneaking up on Maura, placing his hand on her shoulder, stepping into her personal space, her stepping back, him grabbing her, Booth putting a gun to his head and finally Jane busting through the doors. "Mr. Armstrong, I have to say that from the video, as well as the morgue recording, you are now facing charges as BE into an restricted area without permission, attempted kidnapping, and a few other charges. Pressing play again, he hears Maura says "that he is obsessed with her, she only went on one date with him, and that she called Jane to come get her. He creeps her out. She never wants to see or hear from him again, he is a LOSER." Grabbing him by his shirt, she pulls him up to eye level. Saying calmly and clearly she says, "Listen very carefully, because I am going to say this once, got it, he nods, Maura and I are married, we have been together for almost 2 years now, and she is pregnant with my child, I asked you earlier to stay away, but you didn't. Now we are here, are you happy, did you think about your daughter? Jack you are a professor, but you are not the sharpest crayon in the box. Enjoy your stay in jail."

Maura had called her mother, asking for her help in preparing dinner for them. The groceries were delivered, Arthur was manning the grill as the steaks were cooking, Constance was fixing the sides, when Maura and Brennan arrived. Booth and Jane were 5 minutes behind them. Since it was a secret that Booth and Brennan were assisting with the case, they were staying with Jane and Maura. Both ladies freshen up and changed into more comfortable clothes. Maura had attended school with Brennan, and they had been friends for years. They were highly respected and top in their careers. Jane and Booth arrived, grabbing a couple of beers and went out to help Arthur. Maura and Brennan had came down, check in with them in the kitchen and then went outside to see their spouses. Maura could see that Jane was still upset, and ask Jane to help set the table, asking her wife about the incident at the station, Jane filled her in, approaching Jane she pulled her into a hug and kissed her. Arthur, Constance, Brennan, and Booth entered saying "dinner is ready." Sitting down enjoying dinner, before watching the Sox vs the Philadelphia Phillies. Maura knows that Jane needs to relax and unwind. She was looking forward to cuddling with her wife while watching the game.

In the middle of their dinner, the door bell rings, Arthur goes to answer it. Opening the door to see Ian Faulkner standing there with a duffle bag on his shoulder. Arthur asks him, "Who are you "? Ian says "I'm Ian, I'm here to see Maura". Arthur goes, "Oh, your here to see my daughter for what reason "? Ian, says "Oh so your Maura's dad. Well then pleasure to meet you, I'm her Fiancee Ian Faulkner". Arthur then says, "Yes, I'm her father. But you must be mistaken, because my daughter is already married." Ian says "What do you mean that she's already married"? Shoving Arthur aside into the wall, Ian bursts into the house yelling for Maura, he grabs her, he asks her, "What do you mean that your already married, and to whom"? Before she can answer, that's when Jane comes in. " "That would be me, you no good, piece of shit, not get your fucking hands of of her. Ian knocks Maura down, and charges Jane. Constance hit the button on her phone connected to the alarm system, alerting BPD to respond. Korsak and Frost receive it and rush out BPD, telling Sam they going Maura's house for a 911. Brennan and Constance rush to Maura's side. Booth is checking on Arthur, who was unconscious. As Ian repeatedly hits Jane in the ribs, stomach, and kidney area, she hits him across the head with a wine bottle, kicking him square in his balls, he falls to the floor, she then jump on top of him, repeatedly punching him in the face, causing his nose to break, with each punch her right hand and arm radiate with pain. Maura is "asking her to please, stop." Korsak and Frost arrive with Agent Dean hot on their tail, just as Jane lands another punch, yelling "yes stupid son of a bitch, that is my wife you just knocked down, and she is pregnant with our child, you better pray to God that she and our child are going to be okay, or I will personally send your no good fucking ass to HELL, like i sent Hoyt. Your sorry bastard." Agent Dean stand there looking like he just was slapped and shit his pants. Dean asks " What the fuck do you mean you married her and she pregnant with your baby? We had a connection, I felt it, even though you wouldn't sleep with me or let me kiss you. " Shaking her head, Jane answers " For an FBI agent, you not very smart, just like this fucking dumbass. I am a intersex, hell my dick is bigger then yours, I can even stand you or to look at you. So there was no connection. And what the Hell ate you doing here?" Korsak, Frost "can you please get these two pieces of shit out my house, my wife and needs me." EMT was loading Arthur into an ambulance with Constance waiting, and Maura was already in the other one, refusing to leave without Jane. Jumping in the back of the ambulance Jane, grabbed Maura's hand, as it pulled away, kissing it softly, reassuring her everything was going to be fine.
