Chapter 11
Blood As Cold As Ice
Taking the stage for her performance, Detective Sam Carter was excited, she had sing before in talent shows, and in church but singing this song was different it had special meaning. Sam says "This song is special to me, I am lucky to have wonderful parents, who left this earth way to early, my Uncle Sean Cavanaugh who is always there for me, Korsak and KiKi you have also been there for me in my lowest time, Nina my best friend and sister from another mother, Frost I don't know how to put into words, what your friendship, support and most of all your love means to me, I love you. Maura and Jane, thank you for your friendship, for taking a wet behind the ears, eager, stubborn, hard-headed young officer under both of your wings, guiding me, helping me, and most of all teaching me to always stride to be a better person. Jane the only problem I have with you is that your Pats are cheaters, really deflating the footballs so they could win against my Colts, shame on you and them, your quarterback is a big cry baby, faking a hurt hand, LOL!!" There was not a dry eye in the room, the song was both moving and touching to everyone. Frost got up and went up to Sam and pulled for into his arms and giving her a peck on the lips. Turning around he yells Frankie we are up next, time to get this party started. Frankie hurried up to take his place on stage next to Frost. As the music started to play, Frankie looks over at the Frost and says "Really Barold, you had to pick this song?" Frost smiles and says, "Shut up Francesco, you know you love this song." "Can't Touch This" by M. C. Hammer. The whole place erupted into laughter as Frankie red faced was trying to keep up with Frost as he did all the dance moves.
Next was Brennan, Maura, Angela M. and Susie sing "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. Jane watch in amazement as Maura sung and dance, God she loves this woman and she amazed and surprised her every day, knowing she had a wonderful voice, because she often would sing to her after Jane had a nightmare, her voice would calm her, as Maura would hug her tightly. Next up was Booth, Hodgins, Sweets, Aubrey, and Zack sung and played air guitar to "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner.
Jane walked up on stage taking the mike in her hand, she dedicates this song to her wife, Maura, " you saved my life everyday, until you I just worked, now I have you and little suga. And Sam, your Colts need to quit crying over spilt milk." Singing "The Story" by Brandi Carlife.

The tears running down Maura's face was all Jane needed to know that her wife loved her choice of the song, as Maura was up on stage pulling Jane into a passionate kiss. The music started for the next song, and Maura never let go of her wife's hand as she sung, "I Could Not Ask For More" by Sara Evans. After she was finished, the DJ put on the song for the "Electric Slide, The Cha Cha Slide, The Chicken Dance, and the Hokey Pokey." The next set of performers took the stage, Korsak sing to KiKi "You are my Sunshine", Nina sing to Frankie "Because You Love Me," Frost and Frankie sung " I am to Sexy", others songs performed were "Tainted Love," "Hero", "You Said My Eyes Are Beautiful," "Natural Woman," and few other songs. Nina dedicated "From this Moment On" to Jane and Maura, also Frost sung "Thinking Out Loud" for them. Jane sang "She's Having My Baby" to Maura. Everyone was shocked when Angela's dad Billy Gibbons from ZZ Tops showed up. He is Korsak idol and was honored when he asked Korsak to do a set with him. Booth, Hodgins, and Cavanaugh jumped on stage to play air guitar. It was a great night, everyone had a great time, doing everything from playing darts, shooting pool, dancing, and singing karaoke. No one had got drunk, just had a couple of drinks to loosen up and relax. Jane had one beer and drink coke, Maura drink water or ice tea.
Jane and Maura was off Friday, since they were going to find out what little suga was going to be, and they were off the weekend, too. Arriving home around 1 AM, Jane, Maura, Booth, Brennan, Angela, and Hodgins visited for another hour, before each heading off to bed. While Maura was making sure everyone had everything they need, Jane had slipped upstairs to prepare Maura's surprise, a bubble bath, flowers, candles, soft music playing, and a tray with different cheese, fruits, crackers, a bag of fudge clusters and bottles of water and juice awaited her. Jane always surprised Maura with gifts each day, making Maura fall deeper in love with her everyday, no one had ever made her face loved and appreciated like Jane did. As Maura entered the ensuite, she stopped in her track, looking around the bathroom, smiling as Jane was putting the finishing touches on her surprise. Taking 3 steps she wrapped her arms around Jane, pulling her against her. Jane with her back still turned away from Maura, smirking says, "Ma'am you better be careful I am a happily married woman to a amazing, drop dead gorgeous Doctor, who know how to get away with murder." Turning around in Maura's arm she leans in placing a passionate kiss on Maura's lips. Breaking apart to catch their breath, Maura says, "My Badass Detective, you ready know how to romance a lady, and you are not so bad looking yourself. Care to join me? I need you.' Stripping off a speechless Jane and herself before both stepped and sink into the hot, calming and relaxing water. Maura relaxed against Jane, as Jane fed her, and held her, bathing both of them before the water got cold. She quickly dried Maura and herself off, and carried Maura to their bed, carefully placing her beautiful sleeping wife on the bed covering her and quickly slid into bed next to her, placing a kiss on her wife baby bump whispering I love you suga, pulling her wife into her loving arms kissing her on her head whispering I love you, Maur you are my everything, she drifted off to sleep.
