Chapter 10 The New Child
That night Kenickie went to bed later than Danny. When Kenickie was gonna get in Danny's bed next to him, he saw Danny having a sad, scared look on Danny's face. He was having another nightmare. Kenickie put a comforting hand on Danny's arm."Hey, It's okay, Zuko. I'm here" Kenickie whispered. Danny's face was peaceful looking again. Kenickie sighed, a sigh of relief and got into Danny's bed. Soon enough, Kenickie fell asleep.
Dream
Kenickie was in a hallway that was leading towards Danny's new bedroom that the lady had for Danny."Danny" Kenickie said and started running towards the bedroom, but stopped. He remembered that he was supposed to find out what the lady's name is. So, he decided to go check in the room with the pictures of the lady's children on the wall. Kenickie took the lit torch that was hanging on the wall and started his research. He opened up a drawer and started looking through it. He found an old brown, dusty book. Kenickie took it out and whipped the dust off of it. He opened up the book and found a picture of the lady when she was younger.
Their was a name on the picture. It said Lora Banks, 1906."Lora" Kenickie whispered. Suddenly, Kenickie caught something that catched his eye. He looked up and saw a picture of him on the wall! Kenickie was scared now. He was now one of the lady's new children!"I think you're looking at something that isn't yours, Murdoch" A familiar voice said. Kenickie screamed as he dropped the book and the picture to the ground. He turned around and saw none other than the lady, Lora Banks herself. Lora bent down and picked up the book, and picture. She stood back up to look at a scared Kenickie."I'm your new child" he said when he finally found his voice. Lora smirked."Well, of course you are, my little Murdoch" she cooed as she pinched his cheek.
"When did this happen" Kenickie asked."I decided to make you my new child, yesterday. My husband decided it was fine. Now, let's get that torch out of your hand before you burnt yourself" she said the last sentence as if she was talking to a small child.
The torch was now in Lora's hand. Kenickie still didn't believe his ears."But, what about, Zuko?" Kenickie wondered."Oh, don't worry. Danny is still my child. I decided to make you two brothers. Now, come on, lets go" Lora said as she took Kenickie's wrist and pulled him along with her."Where are we going" Kenickie asked." To Danny's room" she replied.
Kenickie and Lora made it in Danny's room. Their was now two cribs in the room. Danny was in one of them. Kenickie's eyes widened. Was she gonna put him in a crib!? Danny sat up."Kenickie" he cried."Oh, don't worry my little one. Your brothers coming" she said. Kenickie and Lora were now at the new crib."Here we are. Now, get in" she told Kenickie."No. Their is no way I am getting in a crib" Kenickie said. Lora smiled."Oh, that's right. Your younger than Danny. Here I'll help you in" she said and picked Kenickie up and put him in the crib."No! No!" Kenickie exclaimed as he was getting put in."You two stay where you are and I'll be right back" Lora said and left the room.
Kenickie turned to Danny."Danny. I found out the lady's real name"."Really? What is it" Danny asked.
"Lora Banks" Kenickie replied."Good thing I finally know her name after all these years of her babying me and scaring me".
"We have to find out a way to get rid of her" Kenickie added. Danny agreed."Right. Just leave that to me".
Kenickie objected that."Danny no. I know you've put up with her for years… But, I don't want you to get hurt or scarred. Let me do it".
Lora came back in holding two baby bottles and a camera was hanging around her neck. She first gave the one warm milk to Kenickie and the other one to Danny. She held the camera in her hands and looked at her two children."Drink your bottles, boys" She told them. Kenickie's cheeks turned red as he did as he was told. Their was bad boy, Kenickie Murdoch in a crib drinking from a baby bottle. Danny was drinking from his bottle too. Lora snapped a picture of her two boys.
Kenickie was so embarrassed. Their was now a picture of this that anybody in this dream world can look at. What was next? A video of him and Danny taking a bath together?! Kenickie didn't know how Danny put up with her.
