Chapter Thirteen – Be Still My Black Heart
The Debonair Cigar Lounge, La Brea, Los Angeles, CA, 11pm PST
A pretty dolled up Alexa Bliss entered the classy cigar lounge where the Flairs were lounging it up with the Street Profits. She was wearing a tiny sequined black dress with matching heels and her hair was piled up high on her head. It was like she was on a date but AJ Styles had no idea where she was right now. The Blissful One decided to pay the Flairs an impromptu visit after Charlotte's segment with Bianca Belair on RAW to get some answers about what was going on with Montez Ford.
Belair had gone for a late night run with Seth and Roman while Bayley kept Sasha company and Dean took Renee out for a walk on Sunset Boulevard. AJ said something about meeting Finn Balor in West Hollywood with the Bullet Club so his evening was booked.
"This is a classy joint, so what the Hell are you four morons doing in it?" Alexa asked the Flairs and the Profits who looked at her offended and impressed at the same-time.
"Lexi you look great, that time you've spent working out with Bayley is really paying off," Charlotte said. "I can't believe I'm even saying that,"
"Neither can I though I must admit you are a far worse person than Bayley ever was," Bliss said sincerely. "What the Hell was with that line on RAW tonight? You told Bianca that you went down on her husband, you could have asked DX to change it to something less vulgar Ashley,"
"Hey, don't you call me by my real name in public," Flair said adamantly. "It was just one line Lexi I've had way worse said to me on RAW, why does Belair get immunity from cringe worthy segments just because everyone's infatuated with her. She can't even wrestle, all she does is throw me around!"
Bliss shook her head, "I'm talking about much more than that Ashley and you know it. Why are you here with him?" she said pointing to Montez. "Is there something going on between you two for real?"
The Street Profits laughed but Charlotte didn't and her face went serious. "Daddy I'll be right back I just need to talk to Lexi about something," Charlotte said to her father who was enjoying a nice cigar with Ford and Dawkins.
"Take your time sweetheart me and the boys are gonna be just fine by ourselves," Ric said.
"I love the fact that you guys are getting on so well," Charlotte said sweetly and Alexa noticed her blushing and she suddenly felt the need to smoke something herself.
"Give me one of those Ric," she said and Ric Flair handed Alexa an expensive cigar and lit it up for her. Alexa took a long drag causing Ric, Montez and Angelo's eyes to bug out and Charlotte followed suit, she was gonna need something to calm her nerves as she told Alexa the Truth about her feelings for Bianca Belair's husband.
"Looking good Alexa Bliss!" a fan cried out as the two former Champions left the lounge to talk outside.
"Okay spill it, what's going on with you and Montez, or do I even want to know what's going on?" Alexa asked Charlotte feeling nerves rising up in her stomach. She knew her gut was right and she was not going to like what Charlotte was about to tell her.
"I'm in love with him Lexi," Charlotte said and Alexa screamed furiously.
"No! Are you kidding me Ash?!" she yelled at the former Women's Champion.
"I know I totally didn't want this to happen but, he's just so damn gorgeous I can't let him go back to his wife without a fight and you know how I am when it comes to getting what I want Alexa. I always get what I want and I've never wanted anything more than to be with that man for the rest of my life," Charlotte confessed and then she took a long drag on the cigar. "Please don't hate me, he has no idea how I feel but I feel like I have to tell him the Truth before the end of the Royal Rumble,"
"Are you crazy Charlotte?! You don't even know him plus he's married, you cannot be in love with him!" Alexa cried and she sat on the hood of an A class Mercedes stressing out. "Yes he's gorgeous but he's married, you can have any man you want why do you want Montez Ford?!"
"Because I'm Charlotte Flair and I want to know the man behind the woman," Charlotte said and Alexa's mouth fell open but no words came out. The Blissful One was speechless.
"So you're going after him to get under Bianca's skin? That's what this whole storyline is about, are you telling me that's how you really feel?" Alexa asked.
"Every storyline comes to an end but by the time the Rumble is over, Bianca's marriage will be over too. I couldn't think of a better ending to our rivalry, with her retaining the Women's Championship and me stealing her husband right from under her pretty little nose," Flair said and Bliss shook her head confused.
"No Charlotte that's the storyline that's why everyone hates you on social media, well its one of the reasons I can think of about a million other reasons. What I'm not sure of is how much of this is True. Are you actually planning on stealing Montez away from Bianca?" Alexa asked trying to understand what was happening.
"I never wanted to but then when I saw how cocky she was getting after being mentored by Seth Rollins and being pushed into the title picture by DX, I wanted to do something to knock the wind out of her sails. So I loved the idea of pretending to steal her husband at first but then I wanted to do it for real," Charlotte said and Alexa felt like she was about to have a heart attack.
"When did you decide this?" she asked faintly.
"After I realised what a wonderful man he is and that he's being undercut by his arrogant and glory hound of a wife," Charlotte said.
"You're calling Belair arrogant?!" Alexa said.
"Look I'm a Flair I have every right to act the way I act but she has no right, what has she done apart from win the admiration of a couple of wrestling fans?" Charlotte said.
"Its more than a couple but again that's all storyline, you keep switching between reality and story, which is it? Do you really plan on sleeping with Montez Ford?" Alexa asked holding her stomach nervously and taking another drag of a very expensive cigar. She felt like the answer she was about to get was going to make her throw up. When Charlotte didn't answer she threw up even faster getting vomit all over the nice Mercedes she was sitting on.
"For real Lexi, he's the star of that pairing, all eyes are on Belair but they should be on Montez and if I have to break up their marriage to do it, I'm going to make sure that he's the talk of the wrestling world and not some braided b**** from Memphis, Tennessee," Charlotte said vehemently and Alexa grabbed Charlotte and wiped her mouth on her top. "Ew Lexi that's my shirt you're getting your barf on!"
"You deserve more than a puke-stained shirt Charlotte, you deserve the b**** slap of the century plus a couple of years of therapy if you think Bianca Belair is going to just look the other way while you try to take her husband away from her. That is one mean, strong, badass chick and she will tear that blond hair out from the roots if you turn this storyline into reality," Alexa said but Charlotte just laughed.
"God Lexi, even you believe the hype. She can't touch me, no-one in this business can and I am not scared of her," Charlotte said confidently.
"Well maybe you should be scared of what God is going to do if you don't back down and find a man of your own. Adultery is a sin and nothing good will come of it if you continue to pursue a very happily married man like Montez Ford," Alexa Bliss said. "She's gonna beat the living crap out of you,"
"Blah-blah-blah," Charlotte said. "Bianca's a big girl but like most big girls she's a kitten on the inside and I'm going to make that little kitten cry herself to sleep for the rest of her life. That'll teach her to mess with Ric Flair's daughter, whooo!"
Alexa shook her head as once again Charlotte went into character causing Alexa to wonder how much of this was a work and how much of this was really happening. Either way she had to stop it and that meant getting DX to drop the storyline immediately and putting her in it instead. At least that way Bianca would be facing a woman she could trust, a woman with the fear of God and the love of her friends as her only priority in this business.
She jumped on Shawl and flew to West Hollywood to end the night from Hell in style, or at least with Styles, who was with Kenny Omega and Finn Balor making some very special plans for the weekend with a leggy blond from Harvard with a thing for science and super-sized spiders that she thought she still had possession of. If things went according to plan the only thing she would have possession of was Kenny Omega's phone number and the whereabouts of Blinky, Summer and Justice would be the furthest thing from her crazy mind.
"Come with me Charlotte," she said turning to Flair who looked at Bliss like she was crazy.
"Where are you going on that thing?" she asked Bliss sceptically.
"I'm going to spend the rest of the night with AJ and his friends, why don't you come with me and we can talk about this some more?" Bliss said but Charlotte shook her head.
"No I wanna stay here, I wanna spend as much time with Montez before he goes to his wife, at least that's the way it'll be for now, eventually he won't have to go anywhere because he'll be spending all his nights in bed with me," Charlotte said and Bliss pulled up and flew away leaving Charlotte to her own evil devices.
"Charlotte's obviously gotten a mean case of the Bayley's," Alexa said to Shawl. "There's only one common denominator between them and that's Stephanie McMahon Hardy, she has got to be the one who's putting Charlotte up to this,"
Shawl took Bliss high up into the clouds to take her mind off of all the things she had experienced down below. When she made it to West Hollywood the NJPW show was just finishing and the fans were still milling around outside. Shawl took her to the back and lowered her down by the wrestlers' cars, one of which was AJ's.
Styles had to do a double take when he saw her for two reasons; number one she looked amazing in her tiny sequined black dress and matching heels and number two, she had a cigar in her mouth.
"Lexi what is that in your mouth, is that a cigar?!" AJ Styles asked her after embracing her.
"Its a long story and boy do I need someone to tell it to," Alexa said then she realised she was on enemy territory. NJPW were a long time rival of DX Inc and the sight of Kenny Omega talking to Finn Balor by his car suddenly made her very territorial. "Maybe I should tell you once we're airbourne,"
"You mean you wanna leave? But Finn and I were going to hang out with the boys, don't you wanna hang out with us?" AJ asked Alexa who looked Kenny Omega up and down suspiciously. She really didn't wanna be seen with the enemy.
Kenny Omega on the other hand had no problem checking out AJ Styles' new girlfriend.
"Well if it isn't Seth's Rollins 'break in-case of divorce' back up plan Alexa Bliss, enjoy her now AJ because the minute Rollins' gets bored of Sasha, he's gonna be knocking down her door," Kenny said to AJ who laughed him off.
"He'll be knocking for a while, Alexa this is Kenny Omega, my old friend from Japan. Kenny this is my girlfriend Alexa Bliss, I'd be nice to her if I were you, she had a Gift from God and a flying Prayer Shawl," AJ said proudly.
"Yeah unlike you KO, I'm much more than just a pretty face in tight leather pants," Alexa said before turning her attention to Finn Balor, "speaking of things in tight leather hi Finn, did you manage to get Miss Alexander away from Harvard for the weekend?"
"Mission accomplished," Finn Balor replied.
"Well done Finnegan I knew you wouldn't let me down," Alexa Bliss said.
"She's going on a date with me," Kenny Omega said and Alexa scowled.
"Now that's definitely a let down, well I guess you could compare hairstyles, hers being too long and yours being, too late I would say," Alexa said provoking Omega.
"My hair is lit, you know just like your face every time Seth Rollins mentions you on twitter. How does it feel being Sasha Banks' safety Alexa? I know for a fact Seth would have definitely have settled down and married you if you looked as good then as you do now. I bet he would turn back time if he could so he could take you out on a least one date before he married Sasha Banks. He told me he thought you were the cutest out of all the girls in NXT but that you were too insecure about your looks. I bet his really kicking himself now though," Kenny teased Alexa.
"The only thing Seth would be kicking if he was here is your a** Omega, now either shut up or say something worth hearing. Like for example, where are you taking Miss Alexander this weekend?" Alexa said.
"Far away from you that's for sure, I don't want you giving her any of your fashion advice. Your girlfriend is far prettier than she looks AJ," Kenny said to Styles, "but she hides it behind black and leather and tiny little sequins,"
AJ Styles blushed, "I know how pretty she is Kenny, there's more to Alexa than just looks though. Much, much more and that's the part of her that I like the most,"
"Thanks AJ, please can we go now? This place give me the creeps, no actually I think that's just Kenny," Alexa Bliss said and she handed him her cigar, "here take it, it'll get rid of that smell that's coming off of you,"
"That's the smell of six stars, ask your five star fancy boy Seth Rollins if he knows what that smells like," Kenny Omega said and Bliss shook her head.
"Please can we go now?" Bliss said and Omega hugged her suddenly. "way-to-invade my personal space Omega,"
"I just wanted you to know there's no hard feelings, I'm just messing with you, except for the stuff about Seth wanting to date you now that you're more sure of yourself as a person. That's a true story," Omega said.
"Yeah right like Seth would ever talk to you about me," Alexa Bliss said.
"Things aren't always what they seem Bliss, or sometimes, they are exactly what they seem.
There's nothing more powerful in this world than a man with options. When you get back to your day job as Seth's wet nurse, ask him about the list," Kenny Omega said and Alexa Bliss furrowed her brow.
"You mean the list of Jericho, that list?" Alexa asked confused.
"No not that list, there's another list out there and your name is on it. It was supposed to be a joke but it got so much heat Seth had to get rid of it. It has all these categories; best face, best butt, best boobs, best smile and everyone had to vote for who they thought ranked the highest in each category. I know for a fact that Seth voted for you in every single category except for one," Kenny Omega said but Alexa didn't even bother to ask him which category that was.
"You're lying there's no list rating any of the girls in the locker room," Alexa Bliss said and AJ Styles cleared his throat nervously.
"Oh yes there is Alexa and I'm happy to say I ignored it. Kenny's telling the Truth because from what I heard your name was definitely on that list," AJ Styles said and Alexa felt nauseous again but this time for a totally different reason.
"So what category did I not get votes from Seth in?" Alexa asked Omega emotionally and Finn Balor decided to step in and interrupted the conversation.
"Kenny shut your mouth, you do not want Seth finding out that you told her about the list," Balor said to Kenny but Omega ignored him. He didn't exactly have Seth Rollins' best interests at heart.
"There was a comment box for each category and under the category for best personality Seth voted you down and wrote "bulimic" underneath," Kenny Omega said and Alexa Bliss's face crumbled like a broken picture.
"You didn't have to tell her," Balor said to Kenny.
"It was a long time ago Alexa and Seth has really come a long way since then. Don't hold it against him," AJ Styles said and Alexa nodded but silently she was crushed.
"No you're right, I know he's changed since NXT. Thanks Kenny, you not only ruined my sense of taste and smell but you've also totally ruined my night. Miss Alexander couldn't be with a better guy," Alexa Bliss said.
"I'm just letting you know how far you've come in the eyes of your beloved Seth Rollins. To Seth women are like shoes; he only breaks in the ones that he likes," Kenny said and Alexa nodded but it still hurt to know that Seth was making fun of her when she was struggling with her weight issues.
"Imagine what he'd be like if Jesus never called him," AJ Styles said and Alexa smiled. "You certainly wouldn't be the friends you are now, don't hold his past against him Alexa, we all make mistakes and that includes you. Nobody's perfect," AJ Styles said and Alexa nodded again but there was an internal dialogue going on and now she really wanted to hurt Seth badly. Like he hadn't been through enough already this year.
"You are such a bastard," Finn Balor said to Omega.
"Anything to get one over on my biggest rival. If I know Alexa, she'll make sure he pays for his sins," Kenny Omega said.
"Maybe the old Alexa but not the new Alexa. She worships the ground Seth walks on," Finn Balor said.
"That was before I set her straight. I wouldn't want Alexa to go and do something stupid," Kenny replied even though that was exactly what he wanted her to do; he wanted her to do something very stupid indeed.
