In other, less exciting news I've updated chapters 76 and 91 to include Montie, Sanjay, and Jennabeth.
Also, those of you who have sent in requests, I have seen them, but I was busy getting the blog up and running, so, I'll try to get to them soon.
Anywho, on with the show!
"Yeah, lock in time!" Farrah cheered as she and Cato ran across the guild hall, bags of snacks and supplies in their arms, July chasing after them, trying to keep up.
"Oh!" Jennabeth jumped at the three loud siblings from where she was sitting at the bar.
"We didn't scare you, did we, Jennabeth?" Cato asked, concerned.
"Oh, no, just surprised," Jennabeth answered quietly. "What are you guys doing?"
"We're getting ready for a lock in!" Farrah cheered.
"A what?" Farrah asked.
"It's like a giant sleepover," Cato explained. "Only all the kids stay in the guild hall instead of someone's house."
"It's gonna be awesome!" Farrah cheered.
"Oh, well, I guess that sounds fun…" Jennabeth whispered, a small smile on her face.
"C'mon, you've gotta come," Farrah said, throwing an arm around Jennabeth's shoulders. "With your ghosts we'll be sure to win a prank war against the boys!"
"War?" Jennabeth suddenly looked scared.
"It's not a real war, don't worry," Cato said. "The boys and the girls just try to see who can pull the best pranks on each other."
"Yeah, and now that we have J.B., you boys are going down!" Farrah declared.
"Don't get your hopes up, babe," Benedict's voice called as he appeared behind Farrah.
"Oh, really?" Farrah's eyes narrowed at Benedict.
"I'm surprised Papa's even letting you two go since...y'know…" Cato said as he took all the bags and headed towards the kitchen.
"We'll be in separate rooms!" Farrah insisted.
"Yeah," July cheered. "And I'm gonna go!"
"For the last time, you're too little," Farrah sighed. "You have to be at least eight to go."
"Nu-uh!" July insisted.
"Uh, yu-huh," Farrah replied.
"Nu-uh!"
"Yu-huh!"
"Nu-uh!"
"Yu-huh!"
"C'mon," Cato sighed as he re-appeared out of the kitchen, grabbed July, and headed back inside.
"I'm gonna go, right Cato?" July asked as his brother carried him into the kitchen.
"No."
"Aw!"
The door swung close behind the two Dreyar boys.
Jennabeth smiled after them. "July is so cute!"
"He's a pain," Farrah rolled her eyes.
"Most toddlers are," Benedict shrugged.
"Psst!" a quiet voice whispered.
Farrah, Benedict, and Jennabeth all began turning and looking to see who was calling to them.
"Psst, guys!"
After a bit more searching they found Montie peeking out from around the corner of the bar. Curious, they all stood and walked towards him.
"'Sup?" Benedict asked.
"Uh…" Montie rubbed at the back of his neck. "You guys haven't seen Sanjay around, have you?"
"No, why?" Farrah asked, arms crossed, a frown on her face.
"We both were supposed to be going on jobs today. I got back from mine about thirty minutes ago, but I haven't seen or heard from him yet."
"Oh, dear! I hope he's okay," Jennabeth said, clasping her hands in front of her.
"Maybe he's just taking longer," Farrah shrugged. "With his fat mouth I wouldn't be surprised if he got into an argument with the client and slowed himself down."
"Farrah…" Benedict sighed.
"What?" Farrah shrugged.
"She's not wrong," Montie groaned. "Which is why I'm kinda worried about him. I just want to make sure he didn't make the wrong person angry, y'know?"
"Tried calling him?" Benedict offered.
"Yeah, but he never picks up his lacrima."
"Wow! What a shocker," Farrah rolled her eyes.
"Farrah!" Benedict sighed again.
"What?"
"Is there any way we can see which job he took?" Jennabeth asked.
"Yeah, my mom keeps up with all the job offers and acceptances. We can go ask her," Farrah said as she motioned for the other three teenagers to follow her. She led them into the kitchen where Mirajane was busy sorting and storing all the snacks she'd sent Cato and Farrah to pick up.
"Hey, Mama?" Farrah asked.
"Yes?" Mirajane asked, turning to face her daughter, surprised to find Benedict, Jennabeth, and Montie with her. "How can I help you?"
"It's Sanjay, again," Farrah replied in an annoyed tone.
"Dang it, Farrah!" Benedict face-palmed.
"What?"
"What's wrong with Sanjay?" Mirajane asked.
"He hasn't come back from his job yet," Montie said. "I was wondering if you could tell us where his job was at so we can go check on him."
"We?" Farrah asked. "Wait, wait, wait, since when did I agree to go save the jerk?"
"DANG IT, FARRAH!"
"WHAT!?"
Mirajane's brow furrowed. "What do you mean he didn't come back? Did you two not go together?"
A look of fear crossed Montie's face. "N...no. We just took two small day jobs...or we were supposed to...Oh no! What did he do!?"
"He took a job tracking down a gang of thieves that have been attacking shops in the southside of Magnolia," Mirajane answered. "I told him it was too dangerous to go alone, but he said he was waiting on you to get back from a smaller job and the two of you would go together!"
"Oh no!" Montie slapped a hand to his forehead. "Dang it, Sanjay!"
"Well, he's dead," Farrah muttered.
With the population boom Magnolia had experienced in the past twenty years came the general draw-backs of a big city. The southside of the city had become infected with crime and poverty, while the northside was still in relatively good and stable shape. Of course, it was lost on no one which guild dominated which side. While Fairy Tail was able to deter most would-be criminals from the northside, Twilight Ogre was less successful on the southside. The fact that Twilight Ogre also had their shady ways was not lost on anyone either…
"I'll get you kids a copy of the poster, then you can go look for him," Mirajane said as she raced out of the kitchen.
"Wait, you're still letting us go after him?" Montie asked, following after Mirajane.
Mirajane nodded as she pulled a chest out from under the bar, unlocked it, and fingered through the stacks of paper. "One wizard going over there by themselves is foolishly dangerous, but four able-bodied wizards should be safe as long as they stick together. Aha!"
Mirajane found the poster in question and passed it to Montie.
"Here you go, now you kids better hurry! There's no telling what trouble that boy has gotten himself into!"
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
"Oh, my!" Jennabeth exclaimed as two rather rough looking and intoxicated men stumbled out of a bar, punching each other in the face and cussing up a storm. One of them threw a beer mug, nearly hitting the four teenagers in the face. Thankfully they all ducked just in time.
"And this is why I hate coming to the southside," Farrah grumbled.
"Is it always this...this…" Jennabeth stuttered.
A woman shouted from an apartment above them and an iron flew out a window and into the street.
"Terrifying!" Jennabeth squealed, covering her ears, closing her eyes, and ducking her head.
"We'll be fine," Benedict assured her, setting a hand on her shoulder. "Just stick tight to us, okay?"
"Okay," Jennabeth nodded, clutching both hands to her chest.
"Let's just find this idiot and get out of here," Farrah mutters. "Montie, where are we going?"
"Uh...says there should be an abandoned barber shop in a few blocks…" Montie answered as he led the way through the crowded and dirty street.
"Abandoned barber shop, eh?" Farrah chuckled. "Sanjay went looking for a group of thieves in an abandoned barber shop in the most rundown part of Magnolia. What could have possibly gone wrong!"
"Many things," Montie sighed. "Many, many things."
"I just hope he's okay," Jennabeth whispered.
"If he's not it's his own fault," Farrah shrugged.
"Farrah!" Benedict pinched the bridge of his nose.
"What?"
"Could you try to be a little more compassionate given the circumstances?"
"Sorry, but Sanjay's on my badlist, we all know this!"
Montie ignored them as he kept leading the way down the street until he finally found what he was looking for.
"There it is!" he said, pointing to a dilapidated building.
"Yup, that's definitely abandoned," Farrah nodded.
"So, are we going in?" Benedict asked.
"How else are we gonna find him, babe?" Farrah asked.
"Oh, now you want to find him?" Benedict rolled his eyes. "Not leave him for dead?"
"When did I say I wanted to leave him for dead? Just because I don't like him doesn't mean I want him dead, he's still in our guild afterall," Farrah stated as they climbed the steps onto the porch of the barber shop. "I just didn't want to be the one to go hunt him down."
"So what changed?" Benedict asked.
"My Mama told me to. I don't want her mad at me! That's a nightmare!" Farrah exclaimed.
"Aye, yay, yay," Benedict shook his head as Montie tried the front door of the shop.
"Locked," Montie said.
"Well, if this is a hide out there's got to be a way inside," Farrah said.
"Maybe all the thieves have a key?" Jennabeth suggested.
"So...we just wait until a thief comes back then jump him for his key?" Farrah asked.
"Obviously not," Benedict sighed. "Let's see if there's a window we can jimmy open, or something."
The four teens began walking around the shop. On the side wall they found a window, already open, with a torn curtain blowing lazily out of it.
"I'll betcha that's how Sanjay got in," Farrah stated before beckoning to Benedict. "Gimme a boost, babe."
Benedict knelt down so Farrah could climb on his shoulders, he then stood to his full height and walked to the window. Farrah hoisted herself inside. Once safely in the barber shop she leaned back out of the window, offering Benedict her hand. Benedict took it and let her help him climb inside.
"I guess I-" Jennabeth began before Montie walked up behind her, grabbed her by the waist, and effortlessly lifted her up.
"Oh!" Jennabeth gasped.
"I gotcha," Montie said as he held her up for Farrah and Benedict to help into the window. The couple then turned to help Montie inside.
One the whole group has successfully made it in the barber shop they began to look around. Old bottles of hair gel, dye, and shaving cream laid scattered about. A torn up chair laid on its side, several shredded bits of fabric sprinkled around it.
"Doesn't look like anyone's been here for a while," Farrah said.
"Did I read it wrong?" Montie asked, looking over the poster.
"Let's not count this place out until we've explored all of it," Benedict suggested. "We should probably split up and look about."
"Oh, I don't know if I like that idea," Jennabeth cringed.
"It's alright, you can stick with me," Farrah said, tossing an arm around Jennabeth's shoulder. "And the boys can go off on their own. We should still cover a lot of ground with three groups."
"Okay," Jennabeth nodded slowly.
"Alright, let's look around," Benedict said, taking off. Montie went in the opposite direction Benedict did, and the two girls went a completely different direction.
"Sorry," Jennabeth whispered as Farrah opened the door to a back closet.
"Why?" Farrah asked, stepping inside, Jennabeth trailing behind her.
"I'm not used to all this adventuring stuff. It still scares me a bit. Sorry if I'm getting in your way."
"Nah," Farrah shrugged, standing on her toes to look at the top of a shelf. "You're fine. I'm sure you'll feel more confident once you've gotten a few jobs under your belt."
"I don't know," Jennabeth sighed, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I've never been the brave type."
"Eh, we'll see?" Farrah shrugged as she stopped rummaging on the top shelf. "Hm. I'm not seeing any hint of Sanjay or a gang of thieves any-"
CLICK!
As Farrah continued rummaging through the shelf her hand bumped something.
"You hear that?" she asked.
"Hear what?" Jennabeth asked.
Just then the floor vanished from beneath the two girls and they plummeted into a dark hole.
"WAH!" they both screamed as they fell straight down.
"Did you girls-OH NO!" Montie shouted as he poked his head into the closet just in time to see the girls fall into a dark hole and the floor reappear as quickly as it had disappeared.
"No, WAIT!" Montie shouted, jumping into the room and breathing on the floor with his hands.
"What happened?" Benedict's voice called as he ran into the room. "I heard screaming!"
"The floor swallowed Jennabeth!" Montie shouted.
"IT WHAT!?" Benedict screeched.
"Yeah, and Farrah too!"
"Wait, Farrah's with her?" Benedict asked.
"Yeah, sorry man."
"Oh, phew!" Benedict sighed.
"PHEW!?" Montie shouted. "Dude, that's your girlfriend, aren't you worried about her?"
"Nah, she's fine," Benedict waved his hand. "Farrah's handled situations worse than this before and got out of it without a scratch. And if she's with Jennabeth then she'll be fine too."
"So...now what?" Montie asked. "Do we go after them?"
"Hm, probably not a good idea," Benedict said. "We should probably investigate some more and try to find a way to get them out."
"How are we gonna do that?" Montie asked.
"Gimme a minute," Benedict answered.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
"Oof!" Both girls grunted as they hit the floor.
"W-w-what happened?" Jennabeth asked.
"Ugh!" Farrah groaned as she sat up, rubbing her head. "I think I accidentally triggered a magic trap door. You okay?"
"I think so," Jennabeth nodded.
"Good," Farrah nodded as she looked about. "So...where are we…"
"I don't know," Jennabeth whispered as she too looked about.
There was a wooden scaffold on either side of them., holding back dirt walls as a long tunnel stretched out in front of them.
"Hm…" Farrah thought as she stood to her feet. "I'll bet you this tunnel leads to the actual hideout."
"Oh, I see, this abandoned shop's just a cover," Jennabeth nodded as she stood up.
"Looks like it."
A blue magic circle suddenly appeared around Farrah's right ear.
"Farrah?" Benedict's voice rang out.
"Hey, hon," Farrah smiled. "I was wondering when you'd call it."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, me and J.B. are fine," Farrah answered.
"J.B.?" Jennabeth asked. Was that a nickname? She'd never had one of those before! Well, not one that was nice anyways.
"Where are you now?" Benedict asked.
"In some kind of tunnel. I'm thinking it leads to the thieves' hideout. Jennabeth and I were about to follow it."
"We were?" Jennabeth asked.
"So should we come down there?" Benedict asked.
"Probably not," Farrah answered. "There's gotta be an exit to this tunnel somewhere. The easiest way to trap these guys is if we cut off their exit and run them into some kind of trap."
"Good thinking," Benedict agreed. "I can use this spell to track you and Jennabeth by following the sound of your voice. Just make sure you keep talking and Montie and I will follow you guys above ground. Sooner or later we should spot the exit up here."
"Got it," Farrah nodded.
"But won't talking let the thieves know we're here?" Jennabeth asked.
"Hm...good point…" Farrah said, tapping her chin in thought. Jennabeth dug her toe into the dirt as she thought too, then she gasped.
"Ooh! Ooh! I can help! I can help! Knighty! Come here, Knighty!"
Suddenly a semi-translucent figure dressed entirely in black armor appeared in front of Jennabeth. It knelt down in front of her, a hand over his chest.
"Madam," a deep, ghostly voice answered in somber reverence.
"Knighty, I need you to go through this tunnel ahead of us so you can warn us if we're about to run into someone."
"Understood," the figure nodded before standing up and quickly floating down the hall.
"Sure that will work?" Farrah asked.
"Oh, yeah," Jennabeth nodded. "If I'd sent Bloody Mary or the Headless Horseman they'd probably try to fight the thieves. And the Drummer Boy, Lady in Red, and White Lady can be a bit loud, and they sometimes don't listen very well. But the Black Knight will do anything I say."
"Okay," Farrah shrugged. "You know your ghosts better than anyone. Let's go."
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
As the girls continued talking a blue magic circle floated along the ground above them. Benedict and Montie followed closely. Through the circle they could hear the girl's conversation.
"So, we gotta keep talking, what do you wanna talk about?" Farrah asked.
"I don't know," Jennabeth answered. "I...uh...well, tell me about you, I guess? It must be really nice and cool spending your whole life in a guild."
"Well, not my whole life," Farrah said.
"No?" Jennabeth asked. "But...your father's the guildmaster…"
"Oh, I'm adopted," Farrah explained. "My Mama and Papa didn't adopt me until I was four."
"Oh," Jennabeth said. "Which orphanage did you come from."
"I…I didn't," Farrah's voice quivered a bit. I was a part of a minstrel tribe before but...some dark wizards attacked us and…" Farrah sighed deeply. "I was the only one that survived. Mama and Papa found me, brought me back to Fairy Tail and have raised me as their daughter ever since."
Montie, still listening above ground, gasped as he turned to Benedict. "Really?"
"Yeah," Benedict sighed, head hung.
"Gosh, that's awful! I never would have guessed!" Montie exclaimed.
Benedict smirked slightly. "No, you wouldn't. Farrah's not one to let on about past heartaches."
Jennabeth gasped through the magic circle. "Oh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"It's okay," Farrah answered.
"I just was curious if we were in the same orphanage, that's all."
"You were in an orphanage?" Farrah asked.
"Several," Jennabeth sighed. "After Mary showed up my parents...well...they didn't want anything to do with me after that and put me in an orphanage. Once they found out I could talk to ghosts, though, they sent me to another one. After a few months that orphanage found out about my magic and did the same thing. I think I ended up in fourteen or fifteen orphanages before I finally just gave up and tried to make it on my own."
"Okay, first of all, that's horrible," Farrah said. "Second of all, I need you to give me a list of those places because I've got some roofs that need a lightning bolt or two through them."
"Thank you-I mean, no! You can't just go blowing up roffs!" Jennabeth shrieked.
"Watch me," Farrah challenged.
Benedict and Montie chuckled at Farrah's attitude, but Montie's face soon fell once again.
"Gosh, she's had a hard life too," he muttered.
"Yeah, I knew people mistreated her because of her magic, but I didn't think it was that bad," Benedict agreed.
"So….since the girls are getting to know each other, how about you?" Montie asked. "How'd you end up in Fairy Tail."
"Heh," Benedict nervously chuckled. "That's another tragic sob story."
"Well, we've already had two, so might as well have three," Montie shrugged.
Benedict sighed. "So...actually, it might be easier to show you," Benedict pulled his scarf off from around his neck and pulled the collar of his shirt down, exposing some of the scars on his neck and shoulder.
"Whoa, dude!" Montie exclaimed. "I mean, I saw you had a little bit of something on your neck, but I didn't think it was that bad."
"It's all over my body," Benedict sighed.
"What happened?"
"My dad happened," Benedict answered. "He was the guildmaster of Phoenix Grave and he liked to beat up me, my mom, and my sist-"
"Wait," Montie held up a hand. "Wait, I remember hearing about this five years ago, that was you!?"
"Yeah…" Benedict sighed.
"Gosh man, I'm sorry."
"It's alright," Benedict said, before turning to Montie. "So, what about you?"
"Well, that would be our fourth sob story of the day."
"Eh, just throw it on the pile," Benedict shrugged.
Montie chuckled, then sighed sadly. "Well, it started when my parents died. They were testing out a new magic vehicle they bought and lost control of it, crashing it in a river. After they were gone Sanjay and I found out that they owed money to a wealthy businessman. Well, we were kids, we didn't have anything we could pay him with, and our parents couldn't work to make money for the payments anymore because they were dead. The business man took everything we owned, sold it, and then put us into indentured servanthood at one of his factories for the next five years to pay back what was left of the debt."
"Wait...he can't do that!"
"Technically he could," Montie sighed. "Our parents owed him money and when they were gone the debt passed onto me and Sanjay. We finally paid it all off a few months ago but we didn't have anywhere to go. We had no family, no home to go back to, so we just wandered about until we stumbled upon Fairy Tail and...yeah, here we are now."
Benedict didn't say anything, just staring in sad wonder at Montie.
"I think that's why Sanjay's so angry all the time," Montie continued. "We were both young when it happened, true, but I was able to kinda figure out what was happening. Sanjay...couldn't...and I don't know if he's ever fully accepted what we went through. He's now convinced that everyone's out to get him. I try to tell him we're safe in Fairy Tail now but he doesn't believe me."
"Maybe he just needs time," Benedict offered. "If I'm being fully honest I was kinda a jerk when I came to Fairy Tail too. But eventually they wore me down and got me to open up. Of course when I say 'they' I mean Farrah."
Montie chuckled. "Yeah, you two look like you've got a good thing going. How long have you been dating?"
"Gosh, close to a year now."
As Benedict and Montie walked along, Farrah's voice called out from the Magic Circle.
"Hey, babe, we found them."
"Okay, good. We'll start looking around out here for the exit."
"You haven't seen Sanjay down there, have you?" Montie asked.
"Actually…"
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
"...we have," Farrah said as she and Jennabeth peaked out from around the corner of the tunnel into a wide room where a group of thieves were going through their loot around a campfire. And stuffed, bound, and gagged inside a giant birdcage was Sanjay, muffling curses and he thrashed about, sending the cage swinging side-to-side from it's chain holding it to the ceiling.
"Good to know he's alive, but that doesn't look comfortable," Jennabeth commented.
"He's actually in better shape than I was expecting," Farrah stated.
"So, what's the plan?" Jennabeth asked.
"Wait for the boys to find the exit," Farrah said.
"Well, wait no more because we found it," Benedict called. "Montie's making a glass cage to hold them in, now we just gotta get you girls to chase them into it...somehow…"
"Well, I bet a giant woman with skeleton hands and bloody tears would be enough to scare them into a mass exit," Farrah said, turning to Jennabeth.
Jennabeth nodded eagerly.
"Great, once they're inside I can keep them in place with a screech attack long enough for you to knock them out, babe," Benedict answered.
"Sounds like a plan to me. You boys ready?"
"Ready."
"Alright, J.B., do your thing."
Jennabeth smiled as she called out: "Bloody Mary, I have some thieves for you to scare!"
A tall woman dressed in a torn black ball gown, with skeletal hands and blood drops running down her pale face for her eyes appeared, chuckling menacingly.
"Well, well, well, it must be my death day," she grinned as she suddenly poofed into a cloud of smoke and raced into the room.
"What the-"
"Did someone drop a torch in the tunnel again?"
"What is that?"
The thieves asked as the cloud encircled them, then descended upon their fire, smothering the flames. Bloody Mary reappeared, stretching out her arms and letting out an ear piercing scream.
The thieves all shrieked as they tripped over each other, scrambling for the exit. Sanjay's eyes grew wide and he began thrashing all the more furiously in his cage.
The thieves opened a door and ran outside, straight into a massive cage made of glass.
"SoundMagic Screech!" Benedict called. A shrieking, cutting noise appeared around each of the thieves' heads, causing them to fall to their knees, shouting in pain as they covered their ears.
Farrah ran after the thieves, raising her fist. "Lightning blast!"
Bolts of lightning flew into the cage, causing the thieves to convulse before collapsing, unconscious.
"Did I get them all?" Farrah asked as she stepped into the cage, looking over her handiwork.
"I think so," Benedict answered.
Jennabeth ran out of the tunnel and to Farrah's side. "Did we do it?"
"Ahem…."
Jennabeth, Farrah, Benedict, and Montie all turned to find Bloody Mary floating behind them, holding a still bound, gagged, and shrieking Sanjay by the collar of his shirt.
"I believe this is yours," she said as she unceremoniously dropped him to the ground.
"Thank you, Mary!" Jennabeth smiled.
"Yes, yes, just call me back when you have some more infidels for me to scare," Bloody Mary sighed before disappearing.
"Hey, little bro!" Montie cheered as he ran to Sanjay's side, pulled him to his feet, and began untying him.
"You scared me to death-" Montie began, but as soon as Sanjay was free of his binding's he pushed Montie away.
"Get off me!" he shouted. "What are you doing here? I told you I wanted to do jobs on my own!"
"You didn't come back!" Montie exclaimed. "I was worried about you!
"I had it under control!"
"No, you did not," Benedict deadpanned.
"Oh, shut it, sandpaper skin!"
"Excuse yo-"
"Farrah, no!"
"Oh, dear!"
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
It didn't take long for the proper authorities to come and cart the thieves away. They collected the stolen goods as they interviewed the teenagers on everything that happened.
"Alright, anything else we need to know?" the officer in charge asked.
"Uh….no, I don't think so," Farrah said.
"Nope," Benedict shook his head.
"No, sir," Jennabeth answered.
"No," Montie shook his head.
"Hmph!" was all Sanjay would say.
Montie stared at him with sad, worried eyes, as the other three stayed focused on the interview.
"Well, if that's it, then you kids are free to go," the officer said. "Nice to know there's new blood pouring into Fairy Tail. You kids make a great team!"
"Oh, but, we're not a team," Montie said, returning his attention back to the interview. He then stopped and turned to the other teenagers. "Are we?"
"Heck no!" Sanjay shouted. "I told you, I can handle things on my own."
"Suit yourself, but I think we kicked butt," Farrah said, throwing her arms around Benedict, Jennabeth, and Montie's necks. "Why not be an official team?"
"Hmph!" Sanjay said again as he stomped off.
"He'll come around," Montie assured the other three, before adding. "I hope…"
"So, are we really a team now?" Jennabeth asked.
"Why not?" Farrah said. "We can be Team New Blood!"
"New Blood?" Benedict asked.
"Yeah, you heard what that guy said. And it is true seeing as none of us were born into Fairy Tail."
"I like it," Jennabeth smiled.
"Eh, fine by me," Benedict shrugged.
"Alright, what about you, Montie?" Farrah asked.
Montie didn't answer right away. He stared at his younger brother, still leaving in a huff. He sighed. As much as he wanted Sanjay to get over this and make friends he was slowly starting to realize that there was nothing he could do to help him at this point. Sooner or later Sanjay was going to have to choose to do better.
Or not.
Montie turned back to Farrah, Benedict, and Jennabeth.
He'd worked hard to get his life back from that old businessman, stuff-shirt. He couldn't throw it away now, even if his brother threw his newfound freedom away. Of course he'd keep trying to help Sanjay, but he was starting to realize that he needed to keep living too.
"Sure, count me in."
