Chapter Nineteen – Bad for Business
Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 5pm ET
Alexa Bliss left AJ Styles in Los Angeles while she went to find Miss Alexander to find out how her date with Kenny Omega went over the weekend. She hadn't heard anything from Finn Balor so she assumed that it went well. Still she would rather hear it from the horse's mouth so she walked into the science lab hoping to find the tall blond there with a big smile on her face.
The science lab was empty and Miss Alexander was nowhere Alexa could see her so she took off her leather jacket, folded it up and laid it over her arm. As she waited for Miss Alexander to return she looked around the lab to see if there was anything else Miss Alexander was working on that was of interest. There was nothing out that Alexa could see, the lab was totally bare and everything looked as though it had been wiped. It was as if Miss Alexander had packed up shop, like the lab hadn't been in use forever. She was impressed by how clean it was too, she didn't know anything about science but Alexa sure knew a thing or two about keeping things clean. Being a post bulimic made her OTT about certain things and cleanliness was one of them. Seeing the inside of a toilet bowl for so long really made Alexa appreciate things that were far less gross to look at.
"What's this?" Alexa said noticing what appeared to be a tiny black dot. It really stood out because the surfaces in the lab were spotless so she zoomed in for a better look. It wasn't a speck, it was some kind of insect and it was pulsing. "Well what's your name little fella?"
Alexa got as close as she could to the creature without using a microscope and the creature jumped into her eye. "YARGHHH!" Alexa screamed her arms flailing as she reached for something to flush the creature out of her eye. Her eye started lid started to swell and she could feel the creature pulling her eye out of its socket. "Let me go you nasty little bug!" Alexa cried and she prayed for the creature to go to sleep which it did. After it let her eye go, she felt over her iris and took it out of her eye. She quickly put the insect back where she found it only to see that there were now hundreds of these things spread all over the surface of the lab. It was like someone had set a trap for her and she ran for the door. It was locked, she couldn't get out the way she came so she did what Seth would do when he needed his Prayer Shawl, she whistled and Shawl flew over to her from under the door.
"Get me outta here Shawl!" Alexa instructed the Prayer Shawl and Shawl shrugged, "What's that supposed to mean?"
Shawl couldn't get Alexa out of the lab without an exit point and the windows were all closed. Her eye was now swollen shut but she could hear the door opening. She couldn't see who it was coming over to her put when they touched her arm pulling her towards the door she knew they meant her well. Whoever it was they had very soft hands. They took her to RJ and Remi Orton's dorm where the two young newlyweds were waiting for her.
"Close the door Angela," RJ said to Angelo Jericho's twin sister who had come to help Alexa after Remi and RJ told her she was in trouble. "Do not go back to that lab until Angelo gets back from New York,"
"Okay," Angela Jericho said and she walked back over to Alexa Bliss with something in her hand.
"What is that?" Alexa asked her.
"It's for your face," Angela replied and she opened the tub of what appeared to be a white cream. "Do you mind if I put this on you?"
"Are you sure it'll fix my eye?" Alexa asked her, she didn't know if Angela Jericho had a Gift like her brother, she didn't know much about Angelo's twin sister apart from the fact that she was incredibly beautiful.
"I'm sure it will," Angela replied and Alexa nodded and she let Angela apply the cream liberally to her face. The cream restored Alexa's face to its former beauty, in fact, it enhanced her beauty and made her look even better than she did before.
Remi and RJ Orton exhaled with relief when they saw that Alexa's face had been restored, "Thank God that worked," Remi said. "We have a serious situation on our hands,"
Alexa looked at her face in her phone and blew a sigh of relief and she observed her appearance for awhile longer realising that she looked ten times better than she did this morning.
"Thank you so much," she said to Angela Jericho hugging her thankfully.
"You look beautiful Alexa Bliss," Angela Jericho said sweetly and Alexa gaffed.
"That's a real compliment coming from you," she told Angela, she'd never seen a woman more beautiful than Angela Jericho and that was saying something considering she was in the same room as Remi Orton. "What's that about a serious situation?"
"My folks' text me just before you got attacked and they said we all gotta go to New York once Angelo Jericho gets here. Something's going on with Miss Alexander. What happened to you in the lab was no accident," RJ Orton said. "She is seriously pissed at you Alexa, do you know what happened?"
Alexa shook her head furiously, "No I don't but I know one thing," she said getting to her feet, "I'm not waiting for Angelo Jericho, I'm going to New York right now to get some answers from The Truth Trish Stratus,"
"No wait for AJ, he knows more about this than we do and he should definitely come with us," RJ said.
"My brother works with Miss Alexander, you should probably wait to hear what he has to say," Angela Jericho said.
"Well let's intercept him, find out where he is so we can pick him up on the way to New York.
I don't want to stay here one minute longer," Alexa said and RJ looked at his phone.
"My mom says you're being tracked," RJ said to Alexa and she covered her eye.
"Am I being tracked now?" she asked RJ and he checked with his mom.
"She said no," RJ replied.
"We need to get you an eye patch," Remi said and she rumbled through her draw and pulled out a heart shaped eye patch from her Valentine's Day party last year. "Here wear this its clean,"
Alexa put on the heart shaped eye patch and jumped on Shawl, "Alright let's go get your brother," she said to Angela who looked at Shawl suspiciously.
"Is this a magic carpet?" she asked Alexa Bliss.
"No it's a flying prayer shawl," Alexa explained. "It's totally safe I've flown on it a thousand times,"
"Okay well I guess it'll be fine, I'll just tie my hair back before I get on," Angela Jericho said and she put her hair in a ponytail showing even more of her beautiful face.
"At a girl Angela," Remi said and they all got onto Shawl and Alexa flew them out of their dorm and looked for Angelo Jericho to take him back to the town he had just left to find out why Miss Alexander tried to attack Alexa Bliss.
Angelo Jericho was walking on his way back from an airport pick up when he saw Finn Balor and someone he didn't really recognise with him.
"Hey Finn," Angelo said to the former Universal Champion who was wearing his trademark leather jacket.
"Are you going back on campus?" Finn asked Angelo who nodded.
"Who's this?" he said nodding towards Kenny Omega.
"This is Miss Alexander's new boyfriend," Finn Balor replied. "We're just waiting for her to finish up so we can all go out for a bite to eat,"
"Sounds good do you mind if I join you?" Angelo asked.
"Yeah that's fine as long as you bring a girl with you," Kenny Omega said looking down his nose at Angelo over his cobalt blue shades, "I don't want any competition from a good looking kid like you,"
"Okay well I guess I could bring someone," Angelo said and he looked up and saw Shawl flying over his head. "Alexa," he said and Finn and Kenny looked up as Angelo waved at the flying prayer shawl.
"Oh that's perfect," Finn Balor said as Alexa swopped down to them. Thinking she would stop Finn was surprised to see RJ, Remi and Angela Jericho onboard and he was even more surprised when they all grabbed him and Angelo Jericho and headed for New York leaving Kenny Omega at the Harvard entrance by himself.
"How rude," Kenny Omega said before turning to go into Harvard and telling Miss Alexander that Alexa's eye was fine and she had gotten a gang to protect herself from the a** kicking that was coming her way.
"Wait for me in the lab but do not touch anything," Miss Alexander said to him from inside the lab where she was patenting the latest additions to her catalogue of evil: micro trace bugs. She was going to use them to trap DX and the Pentagon would pay top dollar for the rights once they realised how effective they were in finding and following people. "If Alexa Bliss thinks she can run from me that's fine but let's see her run from my brain,"
Kenny came into the lab and saw her standing by a huge locker, where she had hid from Alexa while she was there waiting for her to show up. It was where she was planning to stuff Alexa's paralysed body after her micro bug devoured her little eye.
"Should we go after her?" Kenny asked Miss Alexander.
"No let her run for now, we'll finish our day in style: at the sushi restaurant downtown. Then we'll head over to Orlando, Florida and pay DX a much-needed visit. They have something of mine and I want Blinky, Summer and Justice back or else I'll make sure they never get out of Orlando with both eyes intact," Miss Alexander said wickedly and Kenny Omega smiled.
"I like the way you plan your week Kendrick," he said and he waved her over to him and she locked the door behind them as they left to enjoy the rest of an already terrible day for Alexa Bliss and the DX family who were all back on the East Coast.
