Disclaimer: I don't own X-Men(or anything owned by Marvel), only some oc's and ideas for the story.

Sorry, I know this chapter is a bit late.

I really wanna thank anyone who have been supporting me and this story. Your feedback is very important to me and it helps build my confidence up as a writer.

In this chapter I'll be bringing in a character from the comics called Hisako Ichiki(Armor), she is a less well-known X-Men character who has the ability to generate psionic armour around herself. I plan to use her as a love interest for Byron and maybe they could end up together when they are older. Let me know what you think of this idea.

Sorry for spelling and grammar errors.

On with the story.

Today was an eventful day. For one Magneto, Juggernaut, Callisto, Arclight and Quill had left for San Francisco to go get someone that Callisto had sensed. Must've been a pretty powerful mutant, since Callisto seemed quite antsy to tell Magneto about and it was unlikely that he would personally go somewhere for just anything.

What was even more surprising was that Psylocke didn't go with the group since she was one of the four leading members of the Omega Gang. The reason why she didn't leave though was because had been violently ill that morning and was resting by the insistence of her teamates.

Byron was finishing off his chores and was getting ready for sparring.

He was curious of whom he would face today. Most of the mutants at camp weren't that powerful so he hoped he'd get someone that would make him put in some effort and not just someone that could spit super loogies or someone that could change the colour of their eyes.

The boy approached the training area to see that there were already several mutants there.

"Yo, lightning kid, just in time." called out Pyro as he signaled for Byron to approach him.

Byron wouldn't lie, he kinda liked Pyro. While he knew that Pyro was one of many mutants at the camp that believed in mutant superiority, he liked his 'take crap from no one' style of living and the fact that he was honest about who he was and could actually back it up. The fact that Pyro was in charge of running power training when he wasn't busy helping Magneto made it even better since it meant that one of the people Byron didn't completely detest was doing it.

The pyromaniac flicked his zippo lighter open and looked at the boy.

"Go to the fight circle, found a good opponent for you today." said the pyromaniac as he flicked his zippo lighter shut and pointed to the fight circle.

Byron followed the man's command and entered the circle that had been burned into the ground. He had a look around at the mutants around the circle and didn't see anyone that worried him.

To the boy's surprise, a young girl around his age walked out from behind one of the nearby trees. The girl was a few inches shorter than him. She looked to like she might've been from Japan or China, the boy wasn't really sure since he himself being of East Asian decent didn't really know which group he or his mother belonged to. The girl had silky black hair that went past her shoulders with bangs and she had dark eyes much like the boy's own. She wore light blue jeans, a grey hoodie and white sneakers.

The boy didn't realise it, but he was blushing. Did he have a crush on this girl. The boy didn't know how this was possible, because this was his first time seeing her.

The girl appeared to notice the boy's blush and smiled at him.

"So you must be the one that some of the others have spoken about, I am Hisako Ichiki or Armor, I hear you're quite strong." said the girl, her kind smile not faltering.

The shook his head lightly to get himself focused again.

"Well, if it was those kids that spoke to you, then yeah, that's me, name's Byron Braddock, don't have any aliases." answered the boy while trying to sound like he didn't care.

"Well, maybe we can be friends." said the girl with the smile that was instantly starting to grow on Byron.

"Yeah." said the boy with a small smile.

Yeah, he had a feeling that he'd actually enjoy being friends with the girl.

"Begin." said Pyro as a flame popped in his hand to signal the start of the match.

The two children started to circle one another in their own respective fighting stances.

Byron didn't really know if he felt comfortable attacking a girl, especially this one. There was a reason he hadn't ever attacked his mother or any other female at the camp for that matter and this girl looked so small and fragile, but perhaps that was just him underestimating her.

Out nowhere, Hisako struck. She came running at Byron with a kick that he barely blocked which sent him stumbling back.

Byron was shocked. How could this girl knock him off of his game with one kick, in fact, how did she almost beat him?

The girl backed off a little and a strange red energy formed around her which took the shape of what looked like an astronaut suit.

"So that's why they call you Armor." said the boy outloud by accident.

The girl gave that smile that Byron now liked so much and nodded.

The boy couldn't help but blush and smile slightly at which some of the other mutants laughed a little.

The boy decided to take easy on the girl and scout out her armour's toughness for a little bit by simply channeling some lightning into his hands and feet which would enhance the force of his blows tenfold.

Quick as a whip, the boy was in front of the girl laying in kicks and punches on the energy suit only for it to have no effect.

"You're gonna need to do much better than that Byron." said the girl with that same darndest smile.

The boy decided to take up the challenge.

"Okay then, try this." said the boy as lightning started crackling all over his whole body and his eyes started glowing blue.

The boy then ran at the girl again and went through another series of kicks and punches and around the tenth or eleventh hit the suit broke and the boy stopped.

Hisako looked somewhat surprised and Byron had a light smirk on his face.

"You have anything better to offer?" asked the boy, his smirk becoming even more prominent.

Byron's smirk didn't go unnoticed by Hisako as a slight look of annoyance appeared on her face.

"Here's something better!" yelled the girl as she another suit of red energy armour appeared around her.

This suit of armour though was much larger and resembled a giant robot of some kind that stood around fifteen feet tall.

Byron's smirk dissapeared as he gulped.

"Feel like giving up yet lightning kid?" asked Pyro with a smirk.

The boy seemed to take this as an insult though as his anger started to surge again like it did the night before, but this time the blue glow in his dissapeared and they turned scarlet red(Imagine the eyes of the infected from 28 Days/Weeks Later.).

Lightning started sparking more erratically as a blade of lightning stronger than any he'd ever created before formed in his right hand.

The boy let out a scream of rage and looked like he was about to do something til he fell to his knees and his lightning blade dissapeared. After this everything slowed down for him and his anger dissipated.

The last thing the boy saw before he fell unconscious was Pyro, Hisako, Warpath and Blink running towards him.

A few hours later Byron woke up in one of the med tents. The first thing he saw was the concerned faces of his mother, Magneto, Pyro, Callisto, Quill, Arclight, Hisako, Warpath and Blink.

"Bro, don't scare us like that again." said Warpath as he walked over to Byron and helped him sit up.

"What happened to me?" asked Byron as he got off of the bed and stumbled forward only for Warpath to catch him and help him back onto the bed.

"You should just sit down for a while til your body is ready to move around again." said Warpath.

Byron nodded his he at Warpath to thank him.

"Thanks, but like I asked before, what happened to me?" asked the boy, his patients beginning to run thinner and thinner with each second that his question went unanswered.

"You had a huge meltdown." answered Pyro with a surprising amount of concern in his voice.

"Meltdown?" questioned the boy, unsure of how his anger could've made him pass out.

Magneto looked at Hisako, Blink and Warpath.

"Children, us adults wish to speak with Byron alone, could you perhaps excuse yourselves for a while?" asked the master of magnetism politely to which the three children hesitantly nodded and left.

Byron looked unsure again at the fact that Magneto had asked his friends to leave. Friends, Byron considered the three of them his friends now?

"So, a meltdown?" questioned the boy once again.

"Yeah man, your eyes turned red and you looked like you were ready to kill someone." answered Pyro.

The pyromaniac's answer confused the boy even more than he was before.

"Red eyes?" questioned the boy.

Magneto walked a bit closer to Byron.

"I believe that Callisto might be able to answer a bit better." said the master of magnetism.

"You seemed to have unlocked a new power. I don't know what it is though, because it was gone as quickly as it appeared, but what I know is that it pushed you from a class four to a class five mutant when it was active. It doesn't seem like you can activate that power at will though yet." said Callisto.

"What do we do now?" asked Pyro as he looked at Magneto.

"Why we teach the boy how to activate and use this ability at will." answered the master of magnetism.

After a few more minutes of talking, everyone except Byron and Psylocke left the tent.

The boy was surpised when his mother ran over to him and wrapped her arms around him. What surprised him even more though was that he didn't resist and actually relaxed into her embrace.

"I'm so sorry baby, If only I was a better mother, if only I protected you better then maybe you wouldn't have to go through all this." said the black and purple haired mutant while crying.

Hope this chapter was okay.Question time. I know it probably annoys some of you.

What do you guys and girls think should be Byron's new mutation?

What race would Byron be since I don't really know exactly of which race the actress is that played Psylocke in X-Men The Last Stand?

Please let me know.
