July 10, 2049-11:37 P.M.
After John had received Andrew's call, he decided to then head out and see if he was okay.
"I have to go." Said John.
"Where?" Replied Jane.
"Zane Industries, Andrew needs me," replied John, "I need you two to finish the puzzle." He said to Lance and Jane.
"Alright, good luck." Said Lance.
After John left the building and got on his car, he then drove to Zane Industries and went inside Andrew's office. He then turned on his right eye, covering the office in dark blue with yellow readings, and scanned the area to find as many clues as possible. He then found a flight path but before he could scan it, he found a secret compartment in Andrew's desk with a blaster inside, he then walks to the compartment, opens it, and grabs the blaster inside with a small disk inside it, the device that would pr event Ryan to transfer to another body. John then proceeds to walk to the giant broken window and scan the flight path.
"Interesting." He thought to himself as he scanned the flight path and followed the path to Big Ben. John then gets a call from his phone to see that the call is from Lance Williams and then answers it.
"Hello?" John asked.
"John, we just figured out the puzzle, Ryan has the hostages at Big Ben," Lance said as he can be seen holding his phone with one hand and uses the other one to place his blaster at his holster, "we're getting ready to head there right now."
"Alright, I'll see you there." replied John.
"Ok just wait for us there." Lance said as John ends the call.
John then gets on the elevator, hits the ground floor button, proceeds to the ground floor, and gets on his custom made mustang car. John then proceeds to start his engine and drives to Big Ben tower.
11:46 P.M.
Inside the clock of Big Ben, Ikarus (Ryan), with his mechanical wings on his back, can be seen looking out of the open port of the clock and on his phone.
"Is everything ready?" Asked Ikarus.
"Yes, sir." Replied a thug as he can be seen inside a bus, filled with enough strange looking and glowing blue explosives to destroy an entire building, parked eight kilometers away in front of London's power plant.
"Good, don't go on my command, understand?" replied Ikarus.
"Understand sir." replied the thug.
Ikarus then disconnects the call and turns to hostages.
"Who wants to hear some facts?" Ryan asked. He gets no response. "Great!" Ryan exclaims. "Did you know that-" he then gets interrupted when a bright spotlight shines through the port hole followed by loud police sirens. John can be seen just arriving to the seen and getting out of his car.
"Ryan Zane!" shouted a police announcer "We have you surrounded! Surrender now if you want to live!"
Ikarus can be seen strapping a small custom made bomb on a brick, he then calculates the time it takes a brick to fall all the way down from the tower. He then figures it out and sets the timer to the exact time and walks to the open port.
"No thanks!" He shouts as he starts the timer, immediately throws it, and closes the open port. The brick the falls to floor and explodes almost immediately as it hits the ground. The explosion, as bis as a regular C-4 explosion on its own, then creates a chain reaction with ten police cars, injuring and killing a lot officers. After the ambulances arrived and the survivors recovered from the explosions, the tactical team, including John and Lance, then head inside the tower and run up the three hundred and forty-four flight of stairs to the top.
11:57 P.M.
As soon as the tactical team, with John and Lance, reach the door to the Bell, they then open the door only to met with Ryan, as Ikarus, with his tommy gun aimed at them. Ikarus then shoots them all in before they could react, laughing as he did, killing them all except for John, who wasn't even targeted, and Lance after he miraculously survived after he took a blast to his right knee, screaming in pain as he did, and a medical officer, who also wasn't targeted.
"Lance!" John shouted as he and the medic runs to attend to Lance's knee.
The medic then sprays and anti-septic spray on his knee and covers it in a plaster cast.
"Take him down, right now!" John ordered the medical officer. The officer then complies and proceeds to carry Lance on his arms, protesting as the medical officer did, and brings him down the stairs.
John then turns to Ikarus, 20 feet away from each other, as he puts away his tommy gun and also while his wings and the miniature jet engine proceeds to shrink into the back-pack looking part on his back until it isn't visible and then brings out his extend-able base ball ball and points it at him menacingly while giving and even more menacing, yet normal looking, toothy smile as his glow red and then he proceeds to hold the baseball bat like a knight sword.
John then wears his black leather gloves and then grabs a tough looking piece of sharp metal on the non-sharp part and then holds it like a samurai sword. Ikarus then looks at his watch to check the time.
July 11, 2049-12:00 A.M.
"Happy Birthday Big Ben." Ikarus said silently with the same toothy smile he gave John earlier.
Ikarus then raises his baseball up in the air and proceeds to run at him while giving his usual and loud laugh, John staying calm and this is happening. Ikarus then finally reaches John and does a downward slash only for John to parry it with the piece of metal he found. The two then exchange a series of melee attacks with their weapons with exceptional skill, as if a samurai half-way through his training is having a duel with a half skilled crusader knight. After five minutes of the attacks and defenses from the two, John then finally gets a few half deep cuts in Ikarus's android body, one in his torso, one in his right knee, one in his left arm and one on his right side of his chest, Ikarus then does his spartan kick on Johns stomach and it sends it flying to the wall, just ten feet away from the hostages, Ikarus then runs up to John and proceeds to beat him down with his baseball bat, doing his usual laugh as he did. John then finally finds and opening for a counter attack and takes it, he lies down completely on his back and horse kicks him on his stomach, keeping them fifteen feet from each other, Ikarus groaning as he did showing that he felt it.
"I thought you could keep pain off on that body." John said as he gets up and balances himself. "Why keep it on? He asked.
"I used to think that pain sucked," Ikarus replied as he balances himself as well, "but know I realize that it makes you stronger!" He said as he runs at him with another attack.
John them drops his weapon and secretly gets the small, coin shaped disk, the device Andrew made to stop Ikarus to transfer to another body, intending to keep his promise to Andrew to bring Ryan in alive. When Ikarus reaches John, he tries to do a downward slash with his baseball bat with his right hand but John grabs it with his left armand tries to put the device on his head with right but Ikarus grabs that arm with his left arm, the two then stay at this position until Ikarus, with his superior strength, pins him to the wall, in front of the clock, while still in the position. Ryan then scans the device to see what it would do and he gets his answer.
"That's really clever." He said as he increases his strength on his left arm and gets the strength he needs to rip his right arm clean off and he does it, John screaming in absolute pain as it happened. Ryan then grabs his knife and points at John's cybernetic eye. "You won't be needing this." Ikarus said as uses the knife to cut out his cybernetic eye, John screaming in absolute pain again. Ikarus then heats up the knife with the heat up function on his knife and uses it to cauterize both wounds to keep him alive, John groaning in pain as it happens, to make John see what happens next. Ikarus then grabs his tommy gun and uses the attached grenade launcher to blow a big hole on the clock.
"I hope you all enjoy the show!" Ikarus shouted as he grabs his cracked phone and sends a text message to the thug on the bus to go.
The thug on the bus gets the text message and proceeds to start up the bus. He puts a brick on the drive pedal on puts something on the wheel to keep it steady. The thug then sets the bus on drive and the bus and it proceeds to go to it's target and then a brown security guard, probably around his late twenties, comes out of his booth to investigate the noise he heard earlier.
"What the hell?" The brown, tall, and strong looking guard said to himself as he saw the headlights of the bus driving at the main gate at high speed. "Stop!" The guard shouted as the bus nears the gate.
The guard then gets out of the way inside his guard booth to avoid getting run over by the bus as it breaks through the gates and continues to drive all the way to London's power plant. The bus then reaches its target and it creates and giant and cosmic looking blue explosion with cosmic looking lightning coming out from the fire, then one of the cosmic lightning bolts hits the guard booth and the guard with it, surprisingly he looks unscathed, except for some burn marks, despite being hit by the cosmic lightning and still softly breathing.
Back at Big Ben, the explosion was so big that it can be seen all the way from the tower and then all of the power all over London goes out, the only lights that can be seen are the spot light's pointed at John and Ryan and from the buildings using a backup generator.
"This is all for you my Lady." Ikarus said while looking up in the night sky with a calm look on his face, his eyes closed with a closed smile.
"It was all a distraction, wasn't it?" John asked while groaning.
"Yep." Ikarus replied.
John then secretly grabs the blaster Andrew made for him using his left arm also while struggling and while also bleeding out.
"I love to see you try to stop this," Ikarus said while laughing at the same time, "because chaos is coming...," he then turns around to face John, the blaster being hidden behind John's back, "and YOU can't stop it!" After he said that statement, Ikarus then gets shot in the head by a blaster bolt while he was in the middle of transferring.
"I know I can't," John said, "but there will be people who will."
"Transfer incomplete. Only seventy percent has been transferred. Complete transfer required to function." That set of words was all that Ryan could see, besides red and other warning flashes, before he falls over the giant hole on the clock, one of the helicopter spot light's can be seen tracking Ryan's body as it falls all the way to one of the police cars, the spot light is still pointed at him as he bleeds out the blue blood that lets androids function.
The three set of words can still be seen before he forcefully shuts down. John can be seen crawling to get to a better position to lay down in as he begins to slowly but uncontrollably bleeds out.
Flashback End
"You all caught up know?" John asks to you, the reader, while also looking at you. "Good." He said silently as he closes his eyes while he draws his last breaths. "I'm sorry Jane." He said silently as he goes completely limp.
Then more officers, including medical officers, military officers and Jane Williams in her military outfit, comes in and inspects the area.
"John?" Jane said as she checks John's pulse only to get nothing. "Medic! I need help!" She shouts with tears in her eyes. "Stay with me man." She said silently as she gives John chest compressions.
The medics then comes in with a wheeled walker and then puts him on it and then they spray and anti-septic spray on the area where his arm should be and on his right eye and then the cover it with bandages. They then bring him down the steps and put him inside the ambulance, Jane following along. Lance can be seen in the background of the scene, seeing his brother and sister entering another ambulance.
"Wait!" Lance shouted as he gets stopped by other medical officers. "Let me through!"
"We can't but don't worry, we're taking you to the same hospital. We'll update you on your brothers condition so please get inside the ambulance." a female medical officer said. Lance silently complies.
"Hold on John." Lance thought to himself.
Inside the ambulance Jane is in, the doctors can be seen using the defibrillators and a breathing machine, trying to revive him.
"Still flat." A male doctor said while looking at the monitor. "Bring it up to three fifty."
The other doctors then bring up the power to his request. "Three, two, one, clear." the doctor then sets the defibrillators on John's chest, nothing happens. "Again!" the doctor said.
The doctor then tries it over six more times with no change. The doctor then puts the defibrillators back with sorrow.
"Time of death?" The doctor asked with sorrow, Jane building up even more tears as she heard it.
"Twelve twenty six, sir." A female doctor responded.
"I'm sorry miss Williams" The fifty year old looking doctor, known as Murdock as seen in his name tag, said while Jane cries.
Four days later
London is in chaos, riots happening everywhere in London, fire can be seen almost everywhere and so can police cars everywhere, except for the quiet areas, like the cemetery. Everyone that John ever knew in life attended his funeral, his twin brother, his sister, his mother, his friends at the police station and Andrew. They then bring his coffin with a folded British flag on top of it and set on the carrier for the coffin to go down. After it did, they all took turns to use their shovels to bury John. After ten minutes of mourning, everyone then begins to leave with police escorts to guide them safely through the chaos in London, but Lance and Jane walks up to John's grave and gets down on both knees.
"Don't worry John...," Jane said as she wipes a tear from her eye, "we won't let London fall, we promise." She said as she looks as Lance as he nods.
Thirty minutes after everyone left the funeral, a man wearing all black with a mask and holding and old looking shovel then walks up to John's grave, the same man who was stalking him in front of Zane Industries, and then uses his shovel and begins digging up his grave.
Darkness, it was all that John could see as far as the eye can see. He then realizes that he could move around it, he still had his body completely intact.
"Hello!?" John called out but with no response. The call be heard echoing around the area.
The area felt familiar to him. Then, after a few moments of thinking, he realized that he was back in the same area where he met the wraith.
"Jonathan Cornelius Williams," a deep, echoing, and glitchy voice said as the dark area around him turned white, revealing a tall man that looks like his in his middle forties, with neat hair, wearing a businesses suit with brown fur coming out from the collar, and a dark and glitchy aura around him, can be seen standing ten feet away from John, "a pleasure to meet you." He said while walking up to him and offering his left hand as a gesture of a handshake.
John then shakes his hand and says, "Nice to meet you to," in a confused and slightly worried tone, "now who are you and how do you know my name and where am I?" He asked in a serious tone.
"Of course, you can call me 'The Obscurum'," he said in his deep and glitchy voice, "and to answer your second question," he then pauses, "well let's say that... you have people in high places who took a great interest in you and have authorized me to find you and offer you a position I know you won't refuse."
"What offer?" John asked.
"It's simple, all you have to do is work for my current and... temporary employer and, basically, follow his orders," he pauses while closing his eyes, "even ones you wouldn't want to do." He said while opening his eyes to reveal that they have gone completely black and with an even deeper voice.
"And if I refuse?" John replied.
"To answer your third question, Mr. Williams, this place is the place between space and time. We call it 'The Void' and if you know how to use it properly, like me, you can go anywhere you like in the universe and beyond it, and do so much more," he pauses as his skin begin to change colour, "I can even take you to places you don't want to go." He said as his entire peach skin turns to dark grey.
The floor then clears up and turns into glass floor to reveal unholy horrors, fire and monsters everywhere. John staring in indescribable fear to what he's seeing.
"So if you refuse, Mr. Williams, I will send you to a place you definitely don't want to go, especially down there." The business man said as points to the clear floor. "You see, that place down there is a kind of prison for the worst types of cosmic horrors out there that die and end up here. Like that one." He then points to the black dragon that hits the clear floor below them. "It would be really unfortunate if you ended up down there even after everything you've been through. So what do say, Mr. Williams?" He asked as he offers his left hand, waiting for a response.
Then the area changes around him changes into a long, empty, and dimly lit hallway that seemed to stretch at least ten miles or so. The business man still waiting there for John's response. Then right behind John, a crimson bright light can be seen shining behind his back. John then turns around to see that a bright crimson portal has opened with rotten looking tentacles slowly coming out of it. John then tries to run away only to see that he's stuck on the floor, he can't escape until he makes a decision.
"Tick-tock, Mr. Williams." The businesses man said growing impatient.
"Fuck it!" John thought to himself as he shakes his hand. Then a flash of bright light covers the entire area, turning it back into the white void.
"A wise choice, Mr. Williams." He said as a bright grey light can be seen inside a canister through the see through glass, it was his soul. "We'll be in touch." He said as he puts the canister inside a briefcase large enough for the canister to fit in and closes it.
The mystery man then stands up, picks up the briefcase, and opens a portal to another room.
"As promised." He said in a normal human voice as he hands over the briefcase to a scientist wearing all black.
"One down," he said in a german accent as he looks to his left to see ten bodies, including John's, through a see through glass getting augmented all at once, "nine to go. All hail the Black Dragon." The scientist said.
In an island just miles away from London filled with broken androids, two police officers and be seen throwing Ryan's broken android body in a deep hole filled with other broken androids.
"I hope you like it down there you piece of trash." A male officer said mockingly.
Thirty minutes after the cops left, a mysterious wraith like figure can be seen hovering down to Ryan's body after it came out of a pitch black portal.
"I'm not finished with you yet." the wraith said in a graspy female voice as it's hand reaches down to touch Ryan's head.
After the wraith touched Ryan's head, his systems came back online and after that, a flash of cosmic images revealing different earths, The Multi-verse.
"Spread my chaos, my young disciple." She said as Ryan's good eye opened and glows red.
"As you wish, Apophis." Ikarus replied and a long laugh followed after.
