Disclaimer:I don't own X-Men(or anything owned by Marvel.). I only own some of the stuff I created myself.

Yes, I know I'm late again. What can I say? School's been more hectic these past few days then I thought it would be and the weekend was just too busy.

Just to clarify, and I know I keep forgetting stuff, but the Blink and Warpath in this story are the younger versions of the ones that appear in Days Of Future Past.

Well, this is the final chapter of the Last Stand story arc for this story so I really hope you enjoy.

On with the story.

It had been about an hour since Byron's psychic daze had finally warn off and he was once again off to go talk to his friends.

It was still morning, so the the boy knew that there was still time for him to talk to his friends and try to make peace with them before they'd be off to Alcatraz Island.

Byron quickly arrived at a more open area of the woods with a large boulder in the middle and to his luck, all three his friends were there.

Warpath quickly jumped off of the boulder to go meet Byron and was quickly followed by Blink and Hisako.

"Byron, hey man, was wondering what happened to you after last night." said Warpath with a small smile as he put his hand on his friend's shoulder.

Byron frowned lightly.

"That's not important now James, I need to tell you three something." said the asian boy in a serious tone that told his friends that now wasn't the time for jokes.

"Well, what is it bro?" asked the native american boy with genuine concern.

Byron quickly glanced at Blink and Hisako to make sure he had their undivided attention.

"It's hard to say this, but after Alcatraz is done, I'm leaving." said the asian boy while looking away slightly in hopes that he could avoid looking at the disappointed looks of his friends.

"You can't go, what about us, I thought we were your friends now." said Blink in a tone of denial.

Hisako decided to throw in her twenty cents on the matter as well.

"Yeah, Clarice and James have only known you for four days and I only just met you yesterday, if we are friends then you can't just leave me now... I mean us, you can't just leave us now." stated the asian girl with her cheeks blushing red as small tears formed in the corners of her eyes.

Byron wouldn't lie, this all made him feel like an asshole, but leaving was for the best, especially with this unpredictable new mutation of his. It made it too risky for his friends to be around him.

"Bro, we can help you if your mom is being too hard on you, let's all just leave together." said Warpath as he put his hand on his friend's shoulder once again.

Byron shook his head lightly. His friends didn't quite understand yet.

"My mom is only one of the reasons that I'm leaving." said the asian boy lowly.

"Well, why else do you wanna leave?" asked the native american boy with a frown.

The asian boy looked at his friend with a dead serious expression on his face.

"I need to leave on my own, this new mutation I have, whatever it is, makes it too risky for you three to be around me, next time I get too emotional I might just end up hurting or killing someone, if any of you or my mom got hurt because of this power, I'd probably kill myself for real this time." said the asian boy, his voice matching his facial expression.

Warpath let go of Byron's shoulder and backed up to the two girls.

"Magneto and the rest of the mutants here think that after tonight they'll rule over humanity, now they want me to train with this new power so that they can use it as a weapon. I won't be any part of that. Magneto thinks that he can control that redheaded woman's power, but I can already tell that the old geezer has no clue of what he's messing with. That senile old fool is in for a rude awakening, I can tell you that." said the asian boy, his voice and facial expression remaining the same.

"So, this is it then bro, today is the last day we're ever gonna see you?" asked the native american boy sadly.

Byron looked down before looking back up at his friends.

"No, I won't be gone forever, just till I learn what this power is and how to control it." said the asian boy with determination in his voice.

A few hours later the kids were amongst all the other mutants at the camp where Magneto would be giving his speech before everyone left for Alcatraz Island.

On the hill with Magneto was Pyro, Juggernaut, Multiple Man, Avalanche, Jean Grey, Arclight, Callisto and Quill.

Byron was surprised that his mother wasn't up there with them. Instead she was next to him with her right arm slung over his shoulder, while cheering along with most of the other mutants as Magneto spoke of vengeance and how mutants were the cure for humanity.

The asian boy didn't get a chance to think about it any further as a big guy in a hooded cloak bumped past him. Something told the boy that the guy wasn't on The Brotherhood's side, but then again, he didn't really care. Magneto deserved to have a wrench thrown into his plans in the boy's opinion.

"Yo, old lady, I forgot something in my tent, can I go get it quickly?" asked the asian boy of his mother, looking for an excuse to get away from his mother and to go look if he couldn't see where the guy in the hood went.

The black and purple haired mutant looked down at her child with a frown.

"Okay, but I'm coming with you." said the black and purple haired mutant loudly since there were still people yelling and cheering all around.

The asian boy nodded and started running through the crowd of mutants so quickly that his mother lost sight of him.

Byron noticed that his mother lost sight of him as he saw her looking around confused and calling out his name. The asian boy took advantage of this and ducked into some bushes and started quickly moving through the forest to see if he could find the guy in the hood.

The asian boy moved quickly, but made sure to keep low and stay quiet. This made him glad that he was still as short as he was. It made the job a lot easier.

"Why are you following me, kid?" asked a gruff voice, making Byron look behind him in shock.

To the asian boy's surprise, he saw that it was the guy in the hood that he had come searching for. At least he found the guy, or more like the guy found him.

"Who are you?" asked the asian boy.

The man frowned.

"Answer my question first, kid." demanded the man.

The boy tried to think of an excuse, but sighed when he couldn't find one.

"Honestly, I don't know why, guese I was just curious." said the asian boy.

The man's frown dissapeared and he chuckled lightly.

"Name's Logan, what's your name, kid?" asked the man.

The asian boy was unsure, but answered anyway.

"Byron... Byron Braddock." answered the asian boy.

Braddock, Logan wasn't sure why, but he had a feeling that he knew that name from somewhere. Maybe someone he knew in his forgotten past?

Logan sniffed the air and sensed someone nearby. Not wanting an innocent kid to get hurt because he was with him, he decided that he'd send him back the way he came.

"Listen kid, why don't you go back where you came from just now, we can talk some other time, okay?" asked the feral canadian.

The asian boy zoned out a bit, but managed a nod.

"Oh, okay." responded the asian boy before he turned around and walked away.

Logan didn't know why, but the boy and the woman he was with had a sent that was familiar to him, he wasn't sure why though. From what the feral canadian could tell, the boy was that woman's cub. He doesn't remember ever meeting that woman in his life though, but perhaps she was the cub of someone he once met.

Byron quickly made it back to camp and immediately went to his tent to see if his mother had went to go look for him there. Sure enough, his mother was there waiting for him.

"Oh baby, I'm so glad you're still here, I almost thought you ran away again." said the black and purple haired mutant as she wrapped her arms around him.

Psylocke let go of her child and took his left hand.

The mother and child were approached by Quill.

"You two ready to head out?" asked the tattooed asian american mutant of his fellow asians.

"Yeah, Callisto will know when we get into the building." answered the black and purple haired mutant.

The man nodded at his teamate's answer.

"Wait, we're going directly into the building, why?" asked the asian boy suspiciously as his mother was never one to shy away from fighting.

The two adults looked away slightly, as if they were trying to avoid the question.

"Why are we going directly into the building?" asked the asian boy a little bit louder.

Psylocke sighed.

"That's not something that you need to worry about right now, just know that what you will see is what's necessary." answered the black and purple haired mutant.

The asian boy wanted to object, but decided against it as he realised that arguing would get him nowhere.

A short while later, Psylocke used her shadow teleportation ability to teleport herself and her child from the Muir Woods directly into Worthington Labs on Alcatraz Island and then used her psychic invisibility power to keep themselves from being seen by anyone in the building.

After what felt like hours of just staying in one spot, the mother and child finally started walking through the building where they were passed by many people in lab coats. Probably scientists.

They stopped when they got to an armored door which which was quickly opened up thanks to a psi-blade. The room was the building's security system.

Psylocke moved to one of several monitors and saw that the fighting had already started outside. The black and purple haired mutant didn't waste any time in finding the entrance where Arclight and Quill were waiting to be let in and quickly used the computer to unlock it.

"Come on." said the black and purple haired mutant as she left the room with her child following closely behind.

The mother and child started trailing an elderly man in a fancy suit and an indian woman with glasses in a lab coat.

The man and woman rounded a corner and black and purple haired mutant stopped her child from going any further.

"Okay baby, stay here and no matter what you here, don't leave this spot till I come get you." said the black and purple haired mutant before she kissed her child's and went around the corner.

Byron knew that he would probably regret it, but he slowly flowly his mom, being careful to stay out her sight.

Psylocke stood in front of a wall and used her psychic invisibility power and when the old man and woman walked back after being blocked off by Arclight and Quill, she deactivated the invisibility.

"Going somewhere?" sneered the black and purple haired mutant rhetorically.

The old man and woman looked back and saw that they had no chance of fighting back against or escaping the three mutants that had them blocked off at both sides.

"You're the guy that invented the cure, right?" asked Quill in fake interest.

"Yes." answered Worthington, unsure of why the asian man was even asking him since it was already quite obvious.

"Girls." said the tattooed asian american mutant.

Arclight and Psylocke both walked up to Worthington and grabbed him by his arms and started to drag him away.

Dr Kavita Rao tried to get to the women and stop them, but was grabbed in a bearhug by Quill.

"No, don't hurt him, don't hurt him!" screamed the indian woman as she tried to break free from the tattooed asian american mutant.

"Hey, hey, calm down, calm down, everything's gonna be okay." said the tattooed asian american mutant as he kept his grip strong on the indian woman.

The woman seemed to calm down a little before the man used his quills to kill her. He dropped the woman's dead body to the ground and cracked his neck before retracting his quills back into his body only to freeze when he saw Byron.

"I'm so sorry that you had to see that." said the tattooed asian american as the asian boy slowly came out of his hiding spot.

The asian boy's eyes were wide with horror as he saw the dead woman on the ground. He might not have had the best childhood, but his mother did a good job of shielding him from these type of things.

Quill put his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Come on." said the tattooed asian american mutant quietly as he pulled the asian boy away from the dead body and started going to where Arclight and Psylocke were taking Worthington.

The two asian males quickly caught up with the two women who started dragging the old man up the steps.

Psylocke's eyes widened as they landed on her child.

"I told you to stay where you were." said the black and purple haired mutant as she and the other woman continued to drag the old man up the stairs all while he continued to beg.

"Let it go Psy, he's gonna need to get used to this kinda stuff." said the tattooed asian american mutant as he slowly guided the asian boy up the steps.

When they got outside, Arclight and Psylocke were holding Worthington over the edge of the building.

"Please, you're setting a bad example for that boy." said Worthington, willing to say anything to save his own skin.

"Shut up!" yelled Psylocke, angered by the fact that this man would try to use her own child against her.

Quill let go of Byron and stood in front of Worthington.

"Please, I'm only trying to help you people." pleaded they old man.

"Do we look like we need your help?" asked the tattooed asian american mutant before nodding to Arclight and Psylocke who then threw Worthington over the edge of the building.

Byron's eyes widened as a jolt of pain shot through his chest which made him collapse to the ground. The last thing he saw before he fell unconscious was the three adults running towards him.

Byron opened his eyes and all he could see around him was red.

"What the hell?" asked the asian boy.

"We need to talk, kid." said a raspy old voice, startling the asian boy.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.

For the next arc of the story, I'll be focussing on time travel. This will be where I'll be fixing the timeline of the X-Men movies.

Till next time.
