Regina went to the door, looking into the camera she had installed to see who was outside. She didn't see anyone. That was weird. But she decided to open the door anyway. Her instinct told her that not opening that door was important. Plus, if it was anyone dangerous, she had her powers to defend herself. She was not without ressources. She opened the door without further hesitation, really wanting to yell at the person who had disturbed her at this hour, keeping her from reading her book. She had prepared a little speech in her head, but the sight of the person who had knocked on the door stopped her from delivering it as she had intended to. Why ? Because the whole situation just seemed like a really bad dream. A dream which she really wanted to forget right now. She could have done that, if it hadn't been reality. You can't really forget reality like that, as easily. Because it is right in front of you, drenched, desperate, even a little bloody. And this reality was Emma Swan, but not the one she was used to.
This was a different Emma. The woman at the door seemed defeated, exhausted and hurt. Her hair was almost brown due to the rain. Her pants seemed to be stuck to her legs. It wouldn't be easy to remove, thought Regina, who had already thought ahead. She obviously was going to let Emma come in, and she would give her pajamas, dry clothes, anything to keep her from catching a cold. She was quite a sight, standing in front of Regina's mansion. Regina led her inside, not wanting to catch a cold herself. Emma let her pull her to the bathroom, staying silent the whole time. Here, the former queen gave her some dry clothes and a towel to dry herself. Then she left the room, telling her that she would wait for her in the living room. When Emma came into the living room, Regina asked her :
- Okay, Miss Swan. At any other time, I would yell at you for interrupting my free time, but I can see that something happened. You have a car, you have a phone, you even have an umbrella, so what happened for you to be this drenched ? I know that you are not stupid, far from it. So tell me you didn't play in the rain, because it would be really childish. So what do you have to say ?
Emma hadn't said anything ever since she arrived at the mansion. She seemed a bit out of it and really lost. The first words she pronunced chocked Regina who didn't think she had heard well :
- Who is Miss Swan ? And who are you ?
