Lady: For many years, I looked at that island in awe. Admiring the rich vibrant colors that Sodor had. With this in mind, I went to that Island and wanted to make peace with them, but that was not what I'd received back. For I nearly died by the hands of the Sudrians. So, with that said, I wish to thank all for those who are fighting against them and for trying to bring this war to an end. As the princess of my family I... (voice becomes more staticy)
As the speech that was being said by Lady became more and more staticy, Captain Greasly sighed as he reclined in his chair as he heard it. Then as he then turned off the screen, First mate/Commander Stainer looked at his Captain as he spoke to everyone on board.
Gordon: So, what do you all make of that broadcast?
Emily: I find it shocking. Lady was friends with all of us, and then she says we're her enemies at the drop of a hat? Can that truly happen?
Herny: Sometimes, but not all the time.
Toby: Even so, I find it a little suspicious and disturbing.
Percy: But, what do we tell Thomas? I doubt he's going to take it well.
As everyone took in Percy's words, none of them could think of an answer. As the silence was then about to get awkward, James broke it.
James: I'm not sure we can tell him anything as of the very moment for we haven't heard anything more about him yet ever since he was moved to the medical bay of Westinghouse's Castle-Ship. Heck, we don't even know IF he'll return to the fray.
Gordon: True. But, we can't give up on him just yet. After all, he must be in this fight. Anyway, as for what to say to him, we'll just tell him the truth and nothing more.
As everyone nodded in agreement, they hoped for Thomas to return. However, before anyone could say anything more, an alarm sounded, and as the Captain looked at the monitor, he gasped at what he saw.
Gordon: Hostiles incoming! All Pilots get to you mechs!
And so, Percy and Toby boarded their mechs and they then followed the squad to defend the area. As they all fired and shot down enemy mechs, there was one that wouldn't be defeated easily, as it then fell to the lake in front of them, freezing it and many S.H.R. mechs as it landed. As Toby and Percy then continued to walk their mechs backwards, the frost and ice kept moving and moving towards them. As then a S.H.R. lorry then pulled into a hill a few miles away, Percy spoke to Toby through the comm.
Percy: I don't think we're going to be able to destroy it.
Toby: Then we'll try to hold it off.
Percy: Yeah, but how long can WE hold on for?
????: (through comm) Measuring bullet trajectory. Percy, Toby, fall back.
Then as the pilot told his friends to fall back, he fired at the enemy mech ahead of them but to have no results. As he then analysed what happened he realised the situation.
????: Oh, I see. The war heads entered in a super conductive state and were deflected by the meissner effect. Ok so let's try air burst. (fires a few shots) All duds? Oh right the battery in the warheads froze and the processors locked up. But where does all the heat go? It must be moving the moulcar movement to another location. (fires more shots) Flight distance for the warheads timer fuse, 50 meters should do it, and the radius of the entry field is 1 kilometer exactly. So, in conclusion, I'll need 20 rounds.
Then, as the pilot grabbed the gear his mech needed for the fight, Percy spoke to him through the comm.
Percy: Thomas?! What are you doing?!
Thomas: I'm going to charge the enemy.
Toby: But you'll freeze!
Thomas: Then I'll just have to reach my target before then.
And so, Thomas then charged the enemy mech and fired grenade launchers to keep himself defrosted until he made it to his target. Then once he got close enough, the Prince fired multiple shots at the enemy mech and it bursts into flames. As Thomas looked at his monitors he sighed in dismay.
Thomas: Looks like I was pretty reckless this time and took more damage than I expected. James certainly won't be happy.
Then as Thomas exited his mech he found his friends, Percy and Toby who were smiling as they saw him. As Thomas then hugged his friends he smiled greatly as they greeted him.
Percy: Welcome back bud.
Toby: Great to see you on your feet again Thomas.
Thomas: Thanks guys.
Then as the three then undid their group hug, Percy and Toby noticed something odd about Thomas's left eye, or what seemed to be an eye. As Percy saw this, he was a little surprised, but more confused as he then asked his best friend about it.
Percy: Um, Thomas, what happened to your eye? It appears to have some cybernetic circety.
Thomas: (as he points to his left eye) Oh this? This is actually a bionic optical implant. My actual left eye exploded when my memory blocking chip was overloaded.
Toby: Yikes! Did it hurt when it exploded?
Thomas: Oh yeah, alot.
As the three friends then smiled, they all turned heel and began to walk towards the lorry that Thomas arrived in. Meanwhile in the final frontier, one of the mech quadrants that were allied with one of the S.H.R.'s allies were all flying through space, scouting, until suddenly they picked up another enemy signal. As they then tried to fight it, the golden mech was somehow able to dodge their movements and destroyed every single last one of them. As the golden mech then returned to the imperial moon base, Diesel 10 was there, waiting for him.
Diesel 10: What a fine piece of work Proteus. You are certainly a fighter.
Proteus: (as he climbed out of his mech) Thank you for your comment Emperor Winsdor. Now then am I able to have a chat with Strea, or is she still doing the broadcast?
Diesel 10: She's still not finished. But my word is she putting on such an act. She's doing so well, you might think that she's the real deal. (cackles)
Proteus: Indeed. Well, if you'll excuse me, I need to see the status of my little sister.
And so as the two royals bowed respectfully one another, parting their separate ways, Proteus crossed his fingers pretty tightly as he then stepped into a room just off from the hall, which had a glass tank with a clear water like fluid inside along with a beautiful girl who was about 18, whose hair was long and golden, and whose eyes were closed. As Proteus saw her, he sighed in dismay.
Proteus: So, it appears that you're still in your slumber then? How saddening. (sighs and places hands on the tank) Lady, why did he shoot you? why? why? (sobs)
As Proteus then sobbed and sobbed, he felt great despair for his beautiful little sister was still in the healing tank. As he then wiped away his tears and exited the room, he didn't notice Lady's eyelids twitching very slightly before they stopped. Lady was getting closer to her reawakening.
To be continued...
