Meanwhile, back in the hallway, Thomas awoke feeling drowsy and low of energy. As he looked around he tried to remember where he was.
Thomas: Argh. Where am I? (ocular implant beeps rhythmically) I did? (ocular implant beeps) You gave them false data so they could escape. (ocular implant beeps) Perfectly logical. Your analysis concluded, that's exactly what I would want.
As Thomas then looked at the charm necklace that belonged to Lady, he smiled for he remembered and cherished the day when he'd first given it to her. Meanwhile in the landing port, Mr Conductor and Burnett were escorting Lady to the ship that was there. As Mr C pulled out a grenade, he looked at Lady and her father before he spoke to them.
Mr C: Both of you get ready to run aboard that ship. I'll cover you.
And so, right when Mr C threw the grenade, Lady and King Allcroft, along with the handmaidens ran for it. Then right as imperial soldiers arrived to deal with the assassins, Mr C and Burnett followed behind and boarded the ship. As Lady then entered the ship, she spotted a familiar woman.
Lady: (gasps) Mother?
Queen Allcroft: Hello again Lady.
As Lady then embraced Queen Allcroft, she nodded to her husband who gave the order.
King Allcroft: All engines go! Get us out of this place!
Pilots: Yes your majesty!
And so as the ship then left into space, Proteus ran up to where it was panting.
Proteus: Sister, come back.
As Proteus then watched the ship take Lady away from the base, Thomas was walking wearily through the halls as he contacted Percy.
Thomas: Percy, is Lady with you?
Percy: (over comm) Sorry bud, but she isn't.
Thomas: So does that mean she didn't escape?
As Thomas then was about to fear the worse, he looked over through the glass and spotted the Queen's ship. As he saw it, he smiled.
Thomas: That ship... It's the transport of King Allcroft's wife. (as he looked through the security footage) And Lady's aboard it. (sighs in relief) Percy, the mission is complete, Lady is safe. Now, I'm going to need you to pick me up.
Then, as he then finished talking to his best friend, Thomas began to flinch in pain from overuse of his implant once more. Meanwhile on board her ship, King Allcroft looked solemnly at his spouse as he spoke to her.
King Allcroft: Forgive me for not being able to stop this my dear. I never wished for this chaos that Daniel caused.
Queen Allcroft: Oh have no worries Jackland. With the position that you were in, you had no choice but to follow along. Anyway, in case you're wondering, I've found you lot after I recieved the help from two old friends of ours.
King Allcrofts: Are you referring to the Billintons Lux?
Queen Allcroft: Yes. and they gave me the location of their place too. Until this fight against the base is done, we'll stay at their orbital-castle.
As the ship then made its way to the Billinton orbital-castle, the fighting had begun to stop, so Percy brought Thomas back to the Brighton Star to be checked over by Dr Smith. As he then discovered what made the prince fall unconscious he sighed in dismay.
Dr Smith: Why did he ignore my warning?
Timothy: What did he do?
Dr Smith: Thomas gave the ocular implant a half of his brain. Darn crazy kid. But apart from that, he just needs a chance to rest and he'll be fine.
As Percy sighed with relief, Timothy looked at his unconscious brother and then at Dr Smith to speak with him.
Timothy: Well considering how much he wanted Lady back and the risks he took, I wouldn't be so surprised. But even so, since mech 001 was destroyed in the recent battle and that the P.D.F. aren't watching our moves right now, I think it would be best if I brought Thomas back to our parents Orbital-Castle since we're actually not too far from it.
Dr Smith: I hear you Timothy, and you know what? I too think that would be the best course of action right now.
As Timothy then nodded, he turned heel to let the captain know of his decision and to prepare for his and Thomas's departure. Then, once things were all set, Timothy boarded his mech, #000, and then he flew back to the Billinton castle with Thomas inside. Then once he arrived, the servants brought Thomas to his bedchamber, where Lady looked on at him worriedly. Suddenly, there was a beeping sound before Thomas then opened his eyes and smiled as he saw Lady.
Thomas: Lady. I'm so glad that you're okay.
Lady: I am too. But I was scared that you wouldn't wake up.
Thomas: (smiles) Don't worry Lady, I'm fine and my vitals are at 100%. So I'll live.
As Lady then smiled she embraced Thomas, she couldn't help but feel happy for she was with her lover once more. However, as this moment then came to a close, Thomas's ocular implant intercepted a message for the imperial troops.
Thomas: (gasps) The imperial forces are going to make one final attack and make it a heavy one too! The S.H.R. will need me, but my mech was destroyed in battle.
Howard: Your training mech certainly was, but not your NEW one.
As Thomas gave his father a confused look, the king led the prince to the elevator which brought them to the lower floors where the higher tech mechs were deployed. As Thomas then entered this room he gasped in amazement as his father showed him new mech that was the same color as #001 but was one of the kinds that utilized a Gold-Dust driver. As Thomas looked at it, his father explained more about it to him.
Howard: This here Thomas is the Pax-resistis. With the help from the counts as well as some data that one of your friends gave us, we were able to build this for you if you need to use a more powerful mech.
Thomas: (as he then looked at the schematics) Anchors, ion blasters, titanium blades, plasma blade fields, jet boosters and projection shields? This has everything and more that we usually get for equipment with the military ones.
As Howard nodded to his son, Thomas then went back upstairs to his chamber to prepare for the fight. Though he was going to fight in space, the mechs that are fitted with Gold-Dust drivers have no need for space suits due to the fact that the pilot chamber being airtight, and so Thomas put on his royal attire instead of his space suit for not needing it. As Thomas then entered back into the launch hangar, he was stopped by Lady who looked very worried.
Thomas: Lady, what's wrong?
Lady: Thomas, I just got you back and now you're going to leave me again. What if you have to fight Proteus again? I don't want... want... want...
As Thomas then realised what Lady was scared about, he gently placed his hand on her cheek before beginning to wipe her tears away. As Lady felt his affection, Thomas spoke softly to her.
Thomas: Lady, I know that you're scared of not just losing me, but also your brother, and thus even more so if we have to fight. However, if I do end up fighting Proteus, I am not going to do so to win, I'm going to do so to bring him to his senses, and bring him back alive. Hear me Lady, I promise you that both me and Proteus will come back alive and that things will work out. for I know that if I don't, I would be breaking my oath that I'd never let you cry.
As Lady took in Thomas's words, she smiled slightly as her tears began to dry up. As Thomas felt Lady's cheek, he gave his last words to her before he had to go into battle.
Thomas: Lady, once this battle is over, let's have that day that you and I have been waiting so long for to happen. The day that you and I have been yearning for ever since the start of our betrothal.
Lady: (sniffs) Yes. Let us do that. I've been wanting for such a long time Thomas. Ever since that day we've met 14 years ago.
As Thomas and Lady then smiled at one another, they both moved their faces closer to one another before linking their lips into a kiss. Then after they held this kiss for a good minute and thirty seconds, Thomas turned heel and boarded his new mech. Then once he was inside, Thomas placed his hands on the two orbs that stood on the console as the Pax-resistis lit up instantly. Then, once everything was set, Thomas took a deep breath before taking the new info in.
Thomas: (in mind) This is it, one of my most toughest fights yet. My final showdown with Proteus. My fight to stay alive and to ensure that the oaths and promises I made to Lady aren't broken. I don't know how it'll go, but, I must see this battle through. No matter what. (takes another deep breath) (out loud) Pax-resistis, Launch!
