Welcome to another chapter and I'm surprised by how many people enjoyed this and so I'll continue to make more.

Disclaimer: I don't own either...

Location: ?, Year: ?

Marcus was fully awake as he got back on his feet to take in the surrounding area as he was confused of what happened to himself. Surely he would immediately be dead by blowing himself up but for some reason he ain't.

Noticing his helmet on the ground, he picks it up to brush off the dirt on the visors as it shined a perfect gold from the sun's light. " Ok now. I need to figure out where the hell I am and hopefully get back to the UNSC." he mutters to himself as he puts the helmet back on.

The HUD was reactivated as his radar appeared at the bottom left corner as usual as it scanned for any signs of life. The shield bar had changed for some reason and was now a long solid blue. His weapons were no longer with him which made him groan of being defenseless in unknown lands.

One thing caught his attention was on the right of the screen a list of things such as Level, Agility, Strength, and etc. " The hell does it think it is?" he says with confusion.

So many questions ran through his head as he decides to start moving while it's still day as walked to wherever he though best to go to. He kept walking for a solid 10 minutes while trying to contact anything that's within his range.

" Hello. Does anyone copy?" he asks as nothing came on his internal communications.

He cursed under his breath until something caught his eye as he moved forward. A large ragged cloak lay stuck in some branches along with a canteen on the ground. He picked up the canteen as it was leathery with a strap as he shook inside to see if there's anything.

Lucky to him there's plenty of water as he opens the cork as well take his helmet off to get a quick sip. " No poison." he commented as he felt a bit refreshed as he puts his helmet on and screws the cork on the canteen. Pulling the cloak carefully off the branches, Marcus inspects it as it was a bit dirty but still usable in some way.

He was going to be out for awhile and so decided on wearing the cloak as the hood covered his helmet. It was sure large as it covered a good portion of his body but not his legs. All he had left that was lethal is his combat knife as it was kept in its sheath one the side of his right chest armor.

" This is going to be a long day."

1 hour later...

Having found a dirt path that lead him to clear fields with few bushes and trees, Marcus continued walking as he wasn't very exhausted. It was just him in this world with no UNSC but he still held onto hope that just maybe he'll come across something that'll get him contact to the UNSC.

Continuing to walk, his radar sensors picked up as it revealed a line of yellow dots just not far from where he is as his eyes widen. Sprinting forward, he made haste as he had to see what's going on.

To his surprise it's a long line of civilians who were waiting to enter a large gate with walls connected. He couldn't make out what was on the other side of those walls but was amazed of how big they are. The line of civilians caught his interest as they seem to wore old traditional style of clothing from that of the medieval ages.

Some bear weapons and armor while others carry sacks and etc along with children. Maybe he can find some answers here as he decided to wait in line like the rest of them as they wouldn't mind a six feet tall and nine inch armored being standing behind them. It was a long process as guards stationed at the gate were going through each visitor as Marcus yawned while going through his HUD to find out more about his new stat feature. After 30 minutes passed, he was finally at the front of the line as his mysterious and intimidating looks gave off an alerting and cautious vibe to the guards.

Their attires confirmed the Spartan's observation that the people here are more culturally traditional around the medieval stuff. He remained calm as he doesn't want to scare them or anything even though he was taller than any normal human being.

" What's your business here stranger?" one of the guards asks.

" I'm a Spartan. I'm here trying to figure out where I am?" Marcus says while having to state his status as some of the guards were curious of the word Spartan.

" Spartan huh. Is that another term for adventurer?" the guard asks in response Marcus tilted his head at him.

" No it does not. It means I'm a super soldier. Now tell me where I am?" Marcus asking again while a bit annoyed.

" Well then your at the entrance of Orario." the guard answers.

" Orario huh. Is this a UNSC settlement?" Marcus now asking about any relations about his original world but instead all he got was confused looks from the guards.

" A what?" one says.

" Nevermind. Yes I'm an adventurer that's passing through." he says having enough since they're going to be here all day.

" I see. Then come through." the guard says as the gate was already opening with a view buildings just across.

Before he could progress further, one of the guards placed a hand on his shoulder as he stiffened a bit while remaining composed. " May I ask where you got your armor?"

" That would be classified." he answers as he shrugs the guard's hand off and walked through the gate as the guards' curiosities increased of who he is since he looked different from everyone else.

Walking on a widen cobblestone path, Marcus took in the peaceful atmosphere as everyone seemed happy about their lives here compared to his original world. Everyone was serious around him when he was young during his training as a Spartan lll. UNSC officials that he's seen show no sign of humor or happiness but only seriousness as they wanted him to be whipped into perfect condition for the augmentations. During his time one Reach, the colonists there were mostly filled with dread and hopelessness due to how much of a threat the Covenant are.

Civilians were the highest casualties during the war as humans didn't have any peace anymore. Recalling his memories, Marcus felt a bit sad that he couldn't find peace like this during wartime as it's something to brighten the atmosphere. Pushing his memories aside, Marcus made his way to a nearby restaurant as he stood in front of one. " Hostess of Fertility huh." he mutters as he went in to see if he can get some information about Orario.

Within the Pub are many citizens who are relaxing while enjoying food and drinks as well. The atmosphere was quite welcoming as waitresses in green clothing with white aprons in front walked around with meals and beverages as well as conversing with some of the customers. However with his presence everything became silent and awkward as everyone looked at the tall armored being who was standing at the entrance.

" Um hi..." he says as no one spoked but continue to stare at him.

A few whispers were made among the customers as the waitresses were a bit scared to come close to him. The Spartan was a bit cautious due to the fact that his appearance had made people just look at him. One of the waitress who has bluish gray hair tied in ponytail slowly walked toward as she shivered at his intimidating form. " Umm... welcome to Hostess of Fertility... can I help you?" she asks as the Spartan was taken back by how cute she was and her tone of voice.

" Uhhh yes... I'm new here and needing someone to help me get use to Orario." he says calmly even though his helmet makes his voice a bit lower.

" I can help you there Mister." a voice spoke out of nowhere as in front of him is a tall woman with brown hair tied in a ponytail.

This made him curious as she was taller than all the waitresses and also well built as she could take on a marine in a wrestling match. " Who are you?"

" I'm Mia Grand, owner of this pub. If you have any questions then say them otherwise you can leave." she says politely as Marcus could tell that she had a lot of things to do.

" Right. Can you tell me about Orario?" he asks as the woman nods her head.

" Sure thing since we get newcomers all the time. Orario is a city with the largest dungeon in the world which brings adventurers from all over to come and explore. This is also home to the gods and goddesses of the heavens which is also the place where Familias are created." she answers as it took him awhile to take in what she said.

A city that has a dungeon and the one and only in this world along with gods and goddesses which this is surely to make him dizzy. All this sounds more like a fantasy and whether or not he's dreaming or not is debatable to himself. This world in his theory is probably in an unknown void away from his as everyone here wore different attires that are old and traditional, weaponry was also old, and the architectures are also very traditional in some way. A question popped into his mind about his 'death' of whether or not he actually died.

As so many thoughts ran through his head again, the woman's voice brought him back as he tried to regain focus. " Are you alright there? It's hard to tell since your mask is covering your face." she says.

" I'm fine. Just spaced out. Well thanks for telling me all that." he says with satisfaction as he was about to leave but felt the tall dwarf woman's hand on his shoulder.

" Are you an adventurer because if you are then I would suggest finding a Familia or start in the dungeons."

Just thinking about it, he never thought about being an adventurer now even though he's a soldier who's only job is to kill aliens. However in a world with no Covenant, he'll need to adapt if he's ever going to find a way back and survive. Exploring a dungeon won't be bad for him as it would be starters for him to get use to a new lifestyle in this world.

" I guess I am. I'll start going to the dungeon."

With that, Mia gave directions to the Spartan of the Guild where he can start as on the way out the woman would call out for him to come back and eat at night in which she boasts that her food is the best in Orario as Marcus said he would stop by at some time. He once again walked down streets and alleys as the city was huge in which he had his radar take note of the pathways and such so that he can be familiar with the areas.

It only took him 10 minutes as he arrived at the Guild as it was pretty big with very exquisite architecture as he entered inside and was greeted with a wide lobby filled with adventurers talking to one another as well as counters with advisors behind speaking with some. If Marcus can remember correctly, the advisors should be able to give him insight on the dungeon process as he makes his way toward one of the advisors.

Approaching one of the advisors, Marcus came across a short woman with pink hair and pink eyes. The woman was amazed at his height as he towered over everyone in the room. " Welcome to the Guild. My name is Misha Flott. How can I help you?" she says cheerfully.

" Uh yes. I'm new here and don't know much about the dungeon process. Can you explain it to me?" he asks politely as the girl was surprised of the tone of his voice even though its his helmet altering it a bit.

" Of course. The dungeon is where you explore and slay monsters for their magic stones. Once you've gathered enough then you can bring them to us and will exchange them into Valis." she explains happily as the Spartan nods.

" I see. So what's a Valis?"

" What?! Have you been living under a rock? They're currency used throughout Orario for everything." she says in disbelief as Marcus was a little annoyed since he's new here.

" Alright I won't forget. So how big is this dungeon?"

" Hm well it is currently 50 floors to my knowledge." she answers.

The depth of this dungeon brought much curiosity to the Spartan as he wondered if he can get lower to the 50th floor. A little challenge that he'll take note to himself. " Any suggestions on what floor I should be on?"

" Well depends on your level. The starters which are the level 1s would mostly hang around floor 1-10 as the monsters there would be enough for them to defeat however past those first 10 floors are more stronger monsters that only level 2 and above adventurers can explore. Do you know what your level is?" she asks curiously as the thought of levels didn't really concern Marcus too much since he basically doesn't know.

He brings back up his stats list on his HUD as the his level still remains unknown. If he's ever going to find out what his level and abilities are then he'll just have to explore the farthest he can go even if it nearly kills him. " No but I'll still go down their no matter the floor."

Misha was dumbfounded at the fact that he doesn't know what level he is but at the same time confident that he'll still go into the dungeon. Many questions went through her mind he was the most mysterious and strange man she's ever talked to when it comes to the dungeon and his own stats. " Then I guess you can't go unless you join a Familia where you'll have your stats checked."

" I'll hold off on that. I like to get started exploring." he says while waving off her suggestion as Misha became flustered at his arrogance.

" Fine then." she says as she hands him a large bag which he gladly accepts as he was about to head out until she heard the woman clear her throat to get his attention one last time.

" Can you tell me your name?" she asks shyly while twirling her fingers.

" Marcus." he responds as he exits the Guild as Misha took a deep breath in relief as her curiosity of the Spartan has grown.

" Hehehe. I wonder what he looks like under that helmet." she mutters while daydreaming about his face.

Tower of Babel...

Having entered the tower, Marcus made his way to the entrance as it was very dark at first but then light began to glimmer as he came across a large room with a giant hole in the center and stairs that lead down. The one thing that caught his attention was a large painting of the sky as he almost thought that it was real. Just by looking at it, he could be there for awhile since he's never seen a sky so beautiful throughout his life.

After looking at the painting, the Spartan went downstairs to begin his exploration of the dungeon. As he kept going, he now came across a wide hallway which he presumed would take him to the next floors. Before he could continue, he was met with Goblins and Kobolds as they growled wildly at him. Marcus slowly cracks his knuckles and neck as he can feel his strength return to him as these monsters are basically not very threatening to him. Unsheathing his knife and flipping it around his fingers, he was ready in a stance as he motioned the monsters to come at him.

" Time to get to work."

Minutes passed as he cut his way through many hordes of monsters as well as passing by adventurers who gave him weird looks as he didn't pay any attention to them. Floor by floor he continued his little killing spree as goblins and kobolds were dispatched within seconds due to the Spartan's superior combat skills and armor. Some of the floors were different visually as his sack was getting quite full with so much magic stones that he was able to collect.

Now reaching the middle floors, the Spartan decided to take a little break as he sat on the ground and leaned onto a wall made up of bedrock. Somehow he knows where he's going thanks to his radar which is able to map out the directions in front of him. So far he's only seen a few adventurers as most of them were seemingly in groups due to the fact that they're level 1s. During his little break, he counted the amount of stones he had collected as he wondered how much each stone is worth for Valis. A thought came up to his mind of where he would be staying as he was fine sleeping in an alleyway but at the same time people would stare at him as if he was homeless.

His armor gave off the impression to those who saw him that it was very valuable and that it can only worn by someone who is truly worthy as how he got this armor was the fact that the UNSC issued it to the fact that the battle of Reach was going to be huge. Even though his armor is still the same in this world, for some reason it gave Marcus a strange feeling that there's still more to it than he thinks. Before he can get up, a sound of someone screaming filled the air as the Spartan was alerted and on his feet. The scream was close as it sounded as if someone was crying for help or something.

Wasting no time, Marcus slung his large filled sack on his back and ran deep into the dungeon to find out where the scream came from. He ran further as he passed by more adventurers who were also curious of the screams as well as thundering rumbles. Something big must be chasing this person as Marcus needed to hurry. Coming into a section of the floor, Marcus was able to get a visual of what the hell was going on as he was greeted with a young boy being chased by two Minotaur. The boy looked as if he was going to piss himself as he kept running but in the Spartan's direction.

Looking at his combat knife and at the Minotaur, this would be a bit challenging as he prepares to face him until he notices someone on one of the them. One of the Minotaur was easily killed within seconds as the tall beast fell to its death with one remaining coming right at him. The Spartan prepares himself as the Minotaur tries to grab him but manage to side step it as lunged onto its arm as he began to climb. The monster tried to get him off with its other free arm but Marcus fended it off as he made a large cut on its other hand as it yelled in pain.

Having managed to climb onto its head, Marcus began stabbing repeatedly at its head as it bleed at a fast rate. Jamming his knife into its left eye, he jumps lands back onto the ground and rams it in the leg as the monster stubbled and hit hardly on the bedrock walls as it fell on its back. It breathed slowly while roaring a little as Marcus was impressed that it hasn't died yet. Suddenly his HUD started to act strangely with the words 'skill unlocked' appearing in front of him as a model of the M6G PDWS showed up on the top right corner.

The pistol manifested in his hand as Marcus felt relieved that he finally has a gun his hands again but in a weird way. He examined the pistol as its silver metallic surface shined. The Minotaur mustering whats left of its strength tried to grab him one last time but was met with a bullet to the head as a shot had been fired. The sound of gunfire brought silence to the area as adventurers who witnessed the fight were caught off guard of the weapon. The threat was no more as he retrieved his combat knife from its eye, wiped off the blood, and return it to its sheath.

The Magnum disappeared from his hand as Marcus went to the boy who was in a corner. He couldn't believe what he just witnessed as he felt somewhat felt very interested in the girl who killed the first Minotaur and the armored being who killed the second one. Nervousness and fear rose within him when the Spartan approached him with a gaze of mysteriousness. The armor really amazed him as it was something he's never seen before.

" You alright kid?" the Spartan asks as the boy slowly nods his head.

The Spartan offered a hand to him which he gladly accepts as Marcus examined the boy he just saved. Judging by his looks he appears to be 14 with white hair and blue eyes. His outfit consisting of a brown coat with a black shirt underneath, black pants with a beige belt, and brown boots. He can see in his eyes that the boy was scared for his life as he tries to reassure him.

" Take it easy now. They're dead."

" T-T-T-Thanks... for... saving... my life..." he says with stutter.

Marcus felt sorry for him as he wants the boy to be alright and there was much whisper going around of what happened as some made of the boy for his foolishness in going down the lower levels as others admire the strength and power of Marcus. " Got a name kid?" he asks politely.

" B-B-Bell Cranel..." he replies while receiving a pat on the head.

" Well Bell, I'm Marcus. Lets get you out of here." he says as the boy named Bell agreed and the both of them walked out.

Many more questions ran through the Spartan's head personally on himself due to the fact that a Magnum manifest in his hand out of thin air like magic or something. This was going to be an interesting life as he decided to call it a day and get Bell to safety.

There we have the second chapter. Story will have more quality. There are many things that I can give my OC such as Spartan abilities since there are many that allow him to hold his own. His level will be revealed next chapter and to honest it isn't level 1. And again I thank you guys for reading this.
