(A few weeks after the space battle...)

News reporter: After the most recent battle in the second Winsdor's war, we finally get a moment of peace around Sodor and the world, however that is not all. One of the heroes of this battle and war, Thomas Billinton turns out to be the one and true heir of the Billinton Royal Family, whom of which founded the Republic of Peaceful Relations years before these two wars even happened. And now that the true royal family of the Billintons has returned after the years where they went missing, they're going ahead and rebuilding the republic once again along with having Princess Lady Allcroft marry her rightful prince as she should.

As the T.V. screen then turned off, Timothy looked at his brother and parents as they sat on the couch together, as he began to talk about what they just saw.

Timothy: So.. Since that report was about us, what did you guys think of it?

Howard: A little short, but they did get the history right.

Tanya: I think they did pretty well on it.

Thomas: You lot may think that, but I on the other hand find them mentioning my upcoming marriage with Lady a little embarrassing.

As Thomas's family then bursted into laughter, the prince felt a little flustered but was happy all the same for he was with his family once more. A little while later, Thomas was busy having a stroll through the elsbridge village to ease his mind from all the stress and anxiety he has been getting of late. However, as he passed some children, they saw his eye patch and ran in fright leaving him feeling hurt. As Thomas then visited his favorite cafe, drinking the expresso he liked outside, he heard a familiar voice from nearby.

????: enjoying an espresso?

Thomas: Uh... Lady?

Lady: (as she sat down in the other chair in front of Thomas) There's no need to be so flustered about a drink. Besides, I found that I like the lattes from this place.

Thomas: (sighs) Yeah, but, it's not that I'm flustered. On my way here, some children saw my eyepatch and they ran for it. I know that they're probably just startled, but I can't help but feel bad for scaring them.

As Lady took in Thomas's words, she just smiled kindly as she then placed her hand on his cheek.

Lady: I'm sure that they know that you didn't mean to scare them. I mean, I know that you would intentionally do so. After all, we've known one another since age 4 and I know how kind and caring you are, after all, it's why we agreed to have that betrothal contract signed between us at such a young age, is it not?

As Thomas took in Lady's words, he smiled, for he knew that she was right. The only reason why he accepted being betrothed with Lady at age 4 in the first place was due to the fact that she was fearing of having a spouse who would abuse and misuse the power that she and her family had. As Thomas and Lady then spent the day together, strolling through the Elsbridge village, both of them smiled greatly for just like the days that began 14 years ago, they enjoyed one another's company, cherishing each millisecond of their loving bond and affection. Later, as the sun began to set, Lady smiled as she nestled into her lover's arms as they sat on a bench in the park. As Lady smiled, she looked at Thomas as she spoke to him about their long awaited wish.

Lady: So, it's finally going to happen then, the day we long awaited and yearned for. The day where our status as spouses becomes official.

Thomas: (smiles as he strokes Lady's hair) Yeah. And within a few days too. Lady, how's your family doing?

Lady: Doing pretty well. Proteus is returning to his old self, Dad is now free from the empire's grasp, and mum is officially going to stay with us. (smiles) Also, ever since the battle Proteus has been wanting to try to make it up to you after he tried to kill you. Though I keep on telling him that there is no need, he's still wishing to do so.

Thomas: (smiles) Well, I'm just thankful that you're doing alright. Hearing that Proteus is returning to the brother you know is great news to me.

As Lady's smile broadened she laid her head on Thomas's shoulder as the sun lowered in the colorful sky, for they were happy. Days later, Thomas was in front of a mirror straightening his tie as his new ocular implant checked it to ensure it was done just right. As Thomas then stepped out of the dressing room, in a black wedding suit, he stepped onto the special stage with Count Edward Pettigrew as the priest. As Thomas stood waiting for Lady to step onto the stage, his heart pounded and his muscles were tense, for this way the day that they waited for. Then not long after, Lady who was in a white wedding dress, stepped on to the stage, and gave her soon to be spouse a reassuring smile as the ceremony went on. Then once the count had finished, Thomas and Lady kissed, both of them had joy within them for the day they wanted happened. Then after Thomas and Lady had fun in the after party, the newlyweds arrived at their new palace, where they will live together for the rest of their years. As Thomas looked at the night sky, Lady saw the solemn expression on her husband's face, and decided to check up on him.

Lady: Thomas, is everything okay?

Thomas: I guess. But, even with Diesel 10's defeat, there's a part of me that says he's not done and dead yet. (as he turned towards Lady) I'm a little scared Lady. What if Diesel 10 returns? What if we're not done with the war yet?

As Lady heard Thomas's words, she sighed, for she knew that there were still counts who were on Diesel 10's side and who won't stop at once on winning in the empire's name. As Lady then walked to Thomas and affectionately placed her hand on his cheek, she gave her reply.

Lady: If this moment of peace is just an eye in the storm of war, then let us savor it for the time being. And then when it ends, we'll be even more ready than ever, no matter who it is.

As Thomas then took in Lady's words, he smiled as he brought her closer and kissed up under the moonlight, before sleeping with her in their bed. Though worried about the possible end of the moment of peace, Thomas was happy to have Lady by his side. As the moon shined brightly through the night sky, Thomas and Lady happily slept together, knowing their long awaited wish had finally been granted.

THE END...

OR SO YOU THINK...

(meanwhile, in an imperial ship...)

Diesel 10: (as he regained consciousness) (groans) Where am I?

Imperial medic: In one of the escape ships your majesty. You have received quite the injury.

Diesel 10: (as he looked at his robotic arm) Indeed I have. (sneers) But nevertheless... (photon blade ignites from robotic arm) I'll enjoy killing that bratt even more. Just you wait Thomas. (laughs maniacally)

Sodor: Resistance one will reach its conclusion in Volume 3: War's End.
