Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy or Harry Potter. I am only borrowing them.
Buffy was standing beside Remus and Giles. She had just said goodbye to the Scoobies telling them that she would keep in touch. As Buffy's Watcher, Giles was going with her leaving the council to Willow, Xander, and the others. Sirius had gone ahead earlier that day with her luggage. She held on to Remus' hand tightly as she prepared for travel. Closing her eyes, she felt the magic pull at her. When she opened her eyes, she recognized the house instantly. It was a little more rundown since the last time she had seen it.
"I remember this place. This is Sirius's old home. It's really gone downhill."
"Yes. It has but we are working on it. Come on."
Remus led the two inside the house. The inside only looked a little better than the outside. He led them through the hall and upstairs to the Drawing Room. Upon opening the door, Buffy got a big shock. Before her stood Sirius, with the Weasley's, McGonagall, Dumbledore, and a boy that Buffy knew was Harry. Beside him was a girl with light brown curly hair. She saw the twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes and knew that he recognized her.
"Everyone, this is Elizabeth. My little sister."
Everyone but Sirius and Dumbledore gasped. Mrs. Weasley was the first to move and she embraced Buffy with a hug.
"I'm so glad to see that you are well and have come back to us."
"It's good to see you again Mrs. Weasley, and I'm glad to be back."
"Please call me Molly. You're an adult now. Come dear let me reintroduce you the family. You remember my husband Arthur?"
"Yes, I do. It's good to see you again sir. Are you still fascinated with Muggle devices?"
"It's good to see you too Elizabeth, and yes I am. It so interesting."
"Then you and I will have to talk later. I just spent over ten years living in the Muggle world."
Buffy smiled as Mr. Weasley's eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas. She heard the soft groan come from Mrs. Weasley. She and Buffy moved and the next Weasley she greeted had slightly singed hair and Buffy smiled. Ever since Buffy had met Charlie he had been fascinated with dragons.
"Do you remember Charlie? He was in his first year when you disappeared."
"Of course, I do. He was fascinated with dragons. I see by your singed hair, you got to fulfill your dreams of working with dragons. I'm glad." She hugged him and they moved on to the twins.
"These are the twins."
"Fred and George. I remember how whenever Percy would hold one of them, they would always spit up on him." The twins wore matching grins at the thought of that even at that age they were pranksters. "I can see they haven't changed a bit. Speaking of Percy…"
"He couldn't make it tonight. The Ministry sent him off on some business. He should be home sometime tomorrow." She said as they moved onto the only girl among the clan. "This is my youngest Ginny."
"I feel for you Ginny. Even though Remus is my only blood related brother I grew up having three others. It can be hard when you're the only girl. I'm here if you ever need to talk."
"Thanks. I might take you up on that."
"This is my second youngest Ron. He'll be starting his fifth year this year." Molly said as they moved down the line.
"It's nice to meet you Ron."
"Sa-a-me here." Ron stuttered slightly being taken in by the beautiful woman that stood before him.
"And last but not least you remember my oldest-" Buffy never heard the rest as her eyes met with his.
"Bill." She whispered as his arms came around her in a tight hug.
"Lizzie, I can't believe you're here. I've missed you so much."
"How's my bestest friend in the world doing?"
"Much better now that you're here. Where have you been? I thought you were dead."
"No, just misplaced. I've been living in the Muggle world with no memory of the wizarding world until three days ago."
"Your birthday." She nodded.
Ron had moved over to where Harry and Hermione were standing. All three were trying to watch without trying to be obvious about it since everyone else had given the two their privacy.
"Who is she? I mean besides Lupin's sister." Harry asked.
"I think she and Bill went to school together. I remember seeing a picture of him with a blonde girl in their school uniform. I asked him about it once, about who she was. He just became really sad, and he said my soul. I never asked again after that." The two stopped their conversation as they saw Bill and Buffy approach with Remus two steps behind.
"Lizzie, this is Hermione Granger."
"Nice to meet you Hermione."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Lupin."
"Please call me Lizzie or Buffy. I'll go by either." Hermione nodded as Remus introduced Buffy to the boy standing beside Hermione.
"And this is Lily and James' son Harry."
"It's nice to meet you Harry. Remus and Sirius have told me a lot about you. Your mother was one of my best friends and I hope that you and I can be friends too."
"I'd like that. Do you think we can talk about my mother sometime?"
"Sure, I'd like that." Buffy said with a smile. She, Bill, and Remus left the two and moved toward the Professors.
"Hello Professors. It's good to see you both again."
Dumbledore was the first to speak.
"It's good to see you alive and well my dear. Welcome home."
"Thank you, Headmaster. I'm glad to be back amongst family and friends." Buffy said as she shook his and McGonagall's hand.
They chatted for a bit. No one was sure how it happened but one of the downstairs windows broke. Buffy was the first one to move and was down the stairs in seconds flat. Two lime green monsters had come into the house by breaking the windows. Buffy immediately reached into her boot and pulled out a long-bladed dagger and began attacking the demons. Everyone but Giles watched Buffy in awe of the way she fought. Her dagger wasn't having much effect on the demons and was soon knocked from her hand.
"You know a sword would make this a lot easier."
"Lizzie!" Remus called out as he floated her new transfigured sword to her.
"Thanks, Remmy."
Buffy said as she grabbed the floating sword and made a sweep with her arm cutting the head off the one demon. Quickly Buffy went after the second one and soon it lay decapitated beside the other one. Giles was the first to come approach her.
"Excellent job Buffy. You're not hurt?"
"Not a scratch." Buffy and Giles turned to look at the wide-eyed group staring at them. "Did we forget to mention that I'm a slayer?"
"You're "The Slayer"? The one girl in all the world?" Charlie asked.
"Slayer yes one girl no. There are over a two hundred of us now."
The looks on their faces were priceless. Buffy couldn't help but chuckle at them. She and Giles spent the rest of the night talking about being Slayer and Watcher.
Buffy had only slept a few hours before she awoke and couldn't get back to sleep. Her body was still on California time and being the slayer, she didn't need a lot of sleep. Her growling stomach told her she needed to find some food. She got up and quietly opened the door not wanting to wake her brother or Giles who had the room beside her. She quietly crept past the picture of Mrs. Black and headed for the basement where the kitchen was. Looking through the cupboards Buffy found some cereal that she liked and began searching for a bowl.
"Upper left cabinet top shelf."
"Thanks." Buffy said as she moved toward it. "You want a bowl?"
Buffy asked looking over her shoulder at the son of the woman who used to be one of her best friends.
"Sure."
Buffy took down two bowls while Harry got them some milk and two spoons. He handed Buffy a spoon.
"Thanks. So, what's got you up?"
"Ron can snore really loudly sometimes. I was up so I thought I would come down here. What about you?"
"I'm on California time. There it's like six in the evening." The two sat in silence for a bit.
"So, you went to school with Ron's brother Bill?"
"Hmm-mm. He was the first friend I had met that was my own age. We became fast friends and he would help me think of ways to get James and Sirius back when they would test their pranks on me." Buffy began laughing as she thought of one of those times.
"What's so funny?"
"I was just thinking about the time your dad, Sirius, and Peter spent a week with blue skin and rainbow-colored hair."
"First, I want to know why, and then how." Harry said picturing Sirius with blue skin and rainbow hair.
"Why because they thought it would be funny to see my nose grow every time, I told a lie. In their Muggle studies class, they had just heard the fable Pinocchio and thought they could make their own truth potion, but instead I came out looking like a donkey. It lasted about an hour. My face had completely transformed into a donkey even my speech. My hand and feet had become hooves and I was a donkey/human hybrid. When I change back most of the school was calling me donkey-girl. I was so embarrassed. So, Bill and I decided to strike back and give the school something else to talk about. Bill created a potion that he slipped into their shampoo, while I used a muggle mixture combined with a magical mixture and slipped it into their drinks at dinner. The potions started working the moment they went to sleep. The whole Gryffindor tower heard their screams the next morning. Did I mention that the spell lasted for a week? James and Sirius had a Quidditch match and the Christmas ball to go to."
Harry was laughing so hard tears were coming down his cheeks. He wiped at them and took several deep breaths to calm himself.
"What happened next?"
"Well let's just say the two were quite livid. Bill and I were in the common room when they came down both us laughing our heads off. Their color had turned out even better than we had planned. I looked up in time to see the look in your father's eye and grabbed a hold of Bill and made a run for it. Luckily for us Lily had just entered the common room. We could always run behind her or Remus for protection and before you asked Remus was very protective of me. He was never a part of the tricks they played on me. He usually found the cure to change me back. I knew your dad liked Lily and would always try to impress her so we would run behind her because we knew James wouldn't be doing anything while Lily was there."
"And you used that to your every advantage every chance you could. You always did have a way with people."
"Why don't you join us big brother and tell us what's got you up?"
"To be honest I was checking on you."
"I'm not going anywhere." She got up and hugged her brother tightly.
"I'm just afraid that I'm going to wake up and find you gone and find that it was nothing but a dream."
"The only way that this is a dream would be if it's a dream come true. I'm home again and nothing is going to keep me away."
"Good, cause, I don't think I could take losing you again."
"You won't. Come on. I think we all need to get a little more sleep before we really have to get up."
Harry and Remus nodded and all three of them headed back upstairs to get some more sleep before they needed to get up. The days were looking brighter for all three of them.
