Love at First Sight

As Yugi continued to swim up to the surface, he was able to make out booming noises & a spray of colorful lights that were coming from the large shadow. Yugi swam even faster towards the shadow, not wanting his opportunity to slip away from him to discover something new on the surface.

As Yugi's head brought his head up from the surface & moved pieces of his blonde locks away from his eyes, he gasped as to what he saw.

For as long as Yugi would remember, he had discovered many broken ships, along with his big brother Jaden. Yugi had always been fascinated with how they looked & what they held inside of them. Especially the human things that still remained within those broken ships.

But, Yugi is seeing the first ship that was actually moving! It's a wonderful sight for Yugi. The large ship sailed under the glowing moon. Colorful flashes of yellow, pink, red, blue & so many other flashes of colors that came from the ship, lit up the night sky in beautiful colors. Yugi couldn't help giggling in happiness at the sight of beautiful colors that decorated the dark sky. Soon, Malik & Rebecca popped up beside him, Malik on Yugi's right side, while Rebecca is on the left. Rebecca had a glare on Yugi, not noticing the bright smile on Yugi's face nor Malik's shocked expression towards the ship in the distance.

"Yugi-bear, what are you..." Rebecca began to say, before looking in front of her & jumping in fright, "Jumping Jellyfish!".

Yugi barely listened to what Rebecca had said & seeing the ship move farther away, Yugi began swimming & hopping towards the ship, filled with curiosity over the humans that made the pretty lights. Malik & Rebecca looked at him in shock, mostly Rebecca because hers is filled with panic.

"Yugi-bear! Yugi! Please, come back! We shouldn't be here!" Rebecca shouted, trying to get Yugi back, as she continues to see him swim away.

"It aunt gonna work, might as well follow him." Malik said, in a slightly defeated tone & proceeded to swim to catch up with Yugi, who is father away from them.

Rebecca only groaned in frustration & defeat, before following Malik as they both swam to catch up with Yugi.

Yugi, who had unknowingly ignored Rebecca's pleas, had already caught up to the ship that had finally slowed down. Yugi had swam himself to the side of the ship, while he was there, he heard the sound of laughter & music coming from an instrument he had never heard before. Yugi had begun slowly, with all of his might & silence, to quietly climb the side of the ship. He had pulled himself to a hole, that was on the lower deck, just enough for his head & eyes to see. Yugi saw many humans, all tanned like Malik with a few exceptions seen, who all looked like they were all dancing, like he had seen in books. Yugi also saw them holding small bits of fire at the end of some kind of crate or package, before, seconds later, the crate/package was launched into the air & blown up to make the beautiful colors Yugi saw earlier.

(So that's how they do it. That's amazing!) Yugi thought excitingly.

"Well, I'm glad we made a peace treaty with China, or we might never have gotten this fireworks! Right, Joey!" One human shouted to another as he appeared to be launching, what Yugi had heard called, 'Fireworks'.

"Haha, you said it, Tristan!" The other human shouted back to the other, who had also been launching the fireworks.

Yugi noted that the first human, who's name seemed to be Tristan, seemed to be at a height of 5'11 ft & wore a long white top that seemed to reach a bit past his knees, which Yugi learned from Marik. The human also had a weirdly shaped brown set of hair, not that Yugi could complain, that had a large proportion of it tipped at the top of his head. Yugi also noted that the human had brown eyes & seemed to be a year older than his brother Jaden, along with a sort of kind yet sarcastic personality.

Yugi then looked back at the other human, who stood at 5'10 ft & had a top similar to the brown one's, except this human had golden bands on his forearms. Yugi saw that this human has a dirty blonde in a sporadic hairstyle, with hazel colored eyes. This human seemed to have compassion, kindness & braver from the looks of it & in his eyes, as from what Yugi could see. Yugi also had seen that this human seemed to be the same age as Jaden. Yugi has guessed that this human was the one named, Joey.

Those two humans seem to be talking about this place called 'China', where they had gotten these 'Fireworks', which Yugi had found more fascinating about humans making these 'Fireworks'. Yugi then saw two weird creatures, one barking & the other cooing, around the humans as they danced. Yugi had looked closely to see that one of these creatures had white hair, with a sort of long body, & walking on all of its hands. The creature had blue eyes, long white hair ears on top of its head, sharp teeth, a sort of long nose & also has a tail like Yugi, but sorter & seemed to wiggle when it is excited. Yugi had seen these types of creatures in one of his books, it was known as a 'White Wolf'. The other creature had brown hair, but its body was round & had feet, but it was short, green & were like claws. Along with its hands, were also small-like claws & green. The creature had round eyes with dark-purple eyes & seem to have a mouth & nose. Yugi couldn't exactly tell what creature that one is.

Then, all of a sudden, the white wolf had started to put its nose in the air & sniff it. The white wolf then put its nose to the ground & once more, started smelling, with the brown creature behind it. Yugi saw that they were coming to where he was & quickly slid over to the side of the hole. When Yugi couldn't hear the sniffing anymore & slightly checked the side of the hole, only to be faced with the white wolf & the brown creature. Before Yugi could make a move, the brown creature rubbed it's brown hair against Yugi's face, while the white wolf licked his face. Yugi then giggled as being tickled & licked by the two creatures. As they were licking & tickling him, Yugi saw a sort of necklace with another piece attached to it, but it had words written on it.

(Mmmm...'Sky', huh? That must be your name, right?) Yugi thought, as he looked at the piece of metal that had the white wolf's name on it, & looked at the white wolf or Sky.

As if reading the merman's mind, 'Sky' had licked his face once more, but more excited than the first time. Yugi, again, giggled as Sky licked him even more, but before Yugi could look more closely at the other creature, a voice called out.

"Sky, here girl! Kuriboh, you too! Both of you, come here!" A baritone voice called out the creatures, causing Yugi to shiver in a sensation he never felt before.

Yugi quickly hid on the side of the hole again, after the creatures ran to the handsome voice.

(Wait...'handsome voice'...) Yugi thought, blushing a shade of pink.

Yugi peeked his head again, putting his whole face, but still remaining slightly in the shadows. Yugi looked to see who's voice it was, only to gasp in shock. He saw that the voice was sort of like him, but only by his hair which had red edges, unlike his amethyst colored ones, three locks of his hair in lightning bolt shapes & had sharp-crimson eyes. But that was where the similarities end. This man had a sharp jawline, tan skin, & has a sort of muscular body. Along with a strange necklace that had a shape of a triangle.

"Hey, come on, you two. What are you two doing, huh? Come down.*Laughs*Good boy & girl." The man said in a playful & kind voice towards the creatures named Sky & Kuriboh, while laughing slightly as both creatures jumped at him & licked their master's face.

But, Yugi didn't exactly care about the two creatures or learning the other creature's name, but only about the human.

Yugi couldn't help. but blush & smile at the man's kindness. The human seemed so perfect, & handsome. Yugi could feel his heart threatening to burst out of his chest & quickly realized what he was feeling, based on stories of his grandpa & siblings.

(So..this is what love feels like? I love him...*Sighs in content*) Yugi thought, sighing in content internally, before hearing a voice coming towards him.

"Hey, kiddo! You're enjoying the show, huh?" Marik slightly shouted as he swam towards Yugi.

'Please be quiet, Marik! Or, they might hear you!' Yugi whisper-shouted as he looked behind him to see Marik.

"Ooh, I got it! I got it." Marik says, swimming behind Yugi.

Marik left a good amount of space between them & put his chin on top of Yugi's to see the humans as well.

'We're spying I see...We're out to discover!" Marik whispered, but shouted at the end, only to have his mouth covered by a panicked Yugi.

'Please Marik, shhh...I've never seen a human this close before...' Yugi whispered to Marik, whose mouth is still covered by his hand, while looking lovingly at the man who seemed to be playing with the creatures, Sky & Kuriboh.

Yugi let his hand fall from Marik's mouth, who gasped for air, only to put folded his arms together & lay his head to the side on it as he continued to look at the handsome man.

'*Sighs dreamily*Oh. That human is very handsome, isn't he?' Yugi whispered, his voice filled with love.

Marik looked at the love-struck merman's gaze & saw a human with the same hairstyle as Yugi, but different. Marik felt a teasing grin appear on his face, before looking back at Yugi.

"Soooo...this human, huh? Nice catch, Yugi." Marik complimented the young merman, who blushed a bit red in return.

"What's a nice catch Marik?" Malik said, swimming to Yugi's left.

"Oh! Sorry Malik! I completely forgot you & Rebecca. Speaking of which, where is Rebecca..?" Yugi asked hesitatingly.

"Well, um...lets just say I kind of put her out in the 'time out corner'. It will be a while before she breaks free." Malik said, a mystery behind his words.

In truth, Malik had knocked Rebecca out when she saw Yugi climbing on the side of the ship & was about to scream, only to have Malik stop her. He quickly swam into the sea again & tied Rebecca up with seaweed to a skinny sort of rock, to try & buy Yugi some time to see humans.

Before Yugi could ask what Malik had done, he heard a voice calling out to the rest of the humans from the upper level of the ship.

"Silence! Silence!" Seto shouted at the crew.

Yugi, Malik & Marik turned their attention to the new human. They noted that he is fairly tall & had sky-blue eyes, along with a sort of cold tone in his voice. Yugi noted that, the male human had a sort of triton like his grandpa, except his was very small, had two small types of horns on the side of a head-shaped middle & a slim eye that is engraved into the middle piece.

"I think that will do Seto. I'll take it from here." Mahad said, patting an irradiated Seto on the shoulder.

Three of the mermen noticed that this human seemed a bit kinder. Notice that his one, is also tall & wears white top with gold, along with a hat, but flat & white. Yugi noticed that this man had an engraved eye like the previous human, except it was in the form of a necklace.

But, Yugi wasn't as focused as his friends to hear what the man was saying. Only looking at the handsome human, who had seated himself on a barrel as he watched his Priest give his announcement.

"It is my honor & privilege to present our great Pharaoh Yami, with a very special, very expensive, & very large birthday present." Mahad said, showing something large beneath a brown large cloth.

The crew began to cheer & whistle as Mahad, while Yami had a grin on his face as he stared at his oldest best friend.

"Aww, Mahad, you sneaky Magician, you shouldn't have." Yami said, smiling & patting Mahad on the shoulder.

(Yami...what a handsome name, it suits him.) Yugi thought, still having his head in his arms as he is seeing his love smile.

"*Chuckles*I know. Anyway, happy birthday my Pharaoh." Mahad said, raising his hand to one of the sailors to release the cloth over that large present.

As the cloth had been removed, it showed the Pharaoh on a very serious pose, looking ready to lead or conquer.

Yami couldn't help, but sweat-drop at the sight of himself as a statue. Yami could hear the sounds of his crew gasping from all around him, though he couldn't tell if it was from horror or surprise. While Sky had growled at the statue, & Kuriboh only covered his eyes with his hands with a moan.

"Uh, gee, Mahad...ha!*Clears throat*It's, uh...it's really something." Yami says hesitantly, while rubbing his neck as he looks at his old friend.

"*Mumbled*It's something alright...it's something awful." Bakura mumbled to Ryou, only to 'yelp' from Ryou punching his shoulder

"Yes, me & Seto had commissioned it ourselves." Mahad said proudly, not noticing his Pharaoh's obvious distaste for the gift.

"Of course, we hoped to give it as a wedding present"." Seto says in a sort of suggested tone, while walking up to his cousin.

Yami only shook his head & laughed a bit at Seto, already knowing where this was leading to. Be it one of the many, many conversations ever since he turned 17.

"Come on, Seto. Don't start with that again." Yami said, walking his way to the side of the ship.

Yugi, Malik & Marik saw the Pharaoh heading their way, & quickly ducked deep enough to hide in the shadows as the Pharaoh came to the edge.

"Look, you two aren't still upset or in Seto's case, mad, that I didn't fall for the princesses of Greece & China, are you?" Yami says, as he leans on the beam on the ship looking at his oldest friend & his cousin.

"Oh, my Pharaoh, it isn't just me & Seto. All of Egypt wants to see you settled down & happy with the right girl." Mahad says, trying to reason with the Pharaoh as he walks a bit closer to him.

Yami only sighed & turned around to face the sea. Not really bothered by marriage, but with the gender of the person he has to marry.

"The person is out there somewhere, I just...I just haven't found them yet." Yami says as he continues to look at the sea, not noticing three merman's below.

Yugi looked up, from his safety in the shadows, to see the Pharaoh's sad expression. Yugi couldn't help, but smile & blush as he thought of who the Pharaoh might want as a lover.

(Perhaps if you look down...I might be the one. You're the one for me, Yami...) Yugi thought, as he continued to stare at his love.

"Well, dear cousin, perhaps you haven't been looking hard enough." Seto said as he stands where Mahad is.

Yami only scoffed, & turned back around, determination in his eyes as he stares at his friend & cousin, along with confidence in his voice,

"Oh, believe me, Seto, I'll know. Without a doubt, the feeling will just hit me, like...like lightning." Yami says, before a bolt of lighting was heard in the distance.

Everyone on the ship looked out into the distance to see another lightning bolt flashing, along with grey clouds, rain beginning to fall & strong winds that made the ship tilt back & forth a bit. Then the winds increased at a rapid speed & the raindrops falling harsher than ever.

"Storm's a-comin'! Stand fast! Start securin' the riggin'!" Joey yelled as he saw the sea move more rapidly.

As the storm approached, everyone went into action, working on keeping the ship afloat. Everyone tugged on the ropes & securing them as tightly as they could, even Yami began helping the crew. Everyone was shouting at each other to work, while Sky was barking & Kuriboh was putting his hands, where his ears should be, to block out the noise.

The ship rock so violently that it was causing the three mermen to lose their grip on the ship.

"Whoa! The wind's all of a sudden strong! The hell happened to make King Muto so mad-" Marik shouted, but was cut off by getting strung up by the harsh wind & thrown into the ocean.

"Oh no! Malik-AHHHHHH!" Malik says, before screaming at the end as he too was swept away by the wind.

The harsh wind had caused Malik & Marik to fall into the sea, but not Yugi, who grabbed onto the ropes as tight as he could.

In the distance, Rebecca had finally managed to break free from the seaweed that connected her to the rock & resurfaced, only to sea a massive storm.

(Oh no! King Muto must have found out that Yugi disappeared! This is bad!) Rebecca thought, as she tried to swim to Yugi, but got caught by a huge wave behind her.

While on the ship, Yami had seen one of the sailor's trying to control the stirring of the ship, but it was too strong for him & was immediately thrown off. But, Yami quickly grabbed it & pulled the steering wheel with all his night & was able to stir the ship a bit. Although, on the side of the ship. Yugi continued to struggle with holding onto the ship, but half-way losing his grip & started to cry a bit.

(Grandpa! Please don't make the humans suffer for my mistake, especially Yami! He doesn't deserve this!) Yugi thinks as tears start to finally fall from his eyes, but gets himself ultimately caught up by the wind too.

As they ship began to have some stirring, a bolt of lightning hit one of the sails that caught on fire. Yugi gasped in horror as he saw flames spread to the ship. When things couldn't get any worse, Yami saw a large rock that was about to it & gasped.

"LOOK OUT!" Yami screamed as one of his held the steering wheel, while the other pointed to the rock. Giving the crew time to run to the many lifeboats.

But , not many made it to the lifeboats. As the ship crashed into the large rock, a few of the crew members that didn't make it to the lifeboats, including Yami & Mahad, were thrown overboard. As many were thrown overboard, Yami's statue went below the sea, unnoticed. Mahad resurfaced & was luckily grabbed by Yami as he was pulled into one of the lifeboats. But, before anyone could get away from the destruction of the ship, there was a barking sound. Yami quickly looked around him only to just see a frightened Kuriboh, but no Sky.

"SKY!" Yami screamed, before jumping back into the water, not listening to Mahad's pleas.

Yami quickly swam & climbed on the side steps of the ship to hurry. As Yami had made it onto the ship, he narrowly dodged a falling pillar that plummeted down to the ship's lower deck, which contained the rest of the fireworks. Yami quickly saw his wolf around a ring of fire on top of a crate.

"Jump Sky! Come on, girl! Jump! You can do it, I'll catch you, I promise! Now jump, Sky!" Yami shouted, with his arms open to catch Sky.

Sky looked side to side a bit, before jumping into her master's arms. Yami tried to run with her, back to the ship's side steps, but was confronted by a burning pillar & his foot stuck in-between the floorboards. Yami threw his wolf into the water & tried to pull his leg out, but having no effect.

"Pharaoh!" Mahad shouted, as he grabbed onto Sky.

Yami looked from Mahad's voice, to the smell of something familiar behind him. Yami saw a container of powder & looked back to see Mahad, his expression a fear. But, then the ship exploded with a 'BOOM!', damaging everything on the ship. Mahad & the crew looked at the ship in sadness, hoping that their Pharaoh wasn't dead.

Yugi saw the explosion, then gasped in horror, before swimming fast towards the broken wreckage. He searched around the barrels & other damaged parts of the wreckage of the ship, only to see no Yami.

(Oh, please! Don't take him away from me! Please!) Yugi thought, praying that his love isn't dead.

As a last ditch effort, Yugi dived into the water & was happy to see an unconscious Yami, at least he hopped so. Yugi quickly grabbed Yami under his arms & with all his might, managed to break through the surface with Yami. Yugi began to swim to the closest shore he could find & hopefully find his friends too.

All while the fireworks in the background added to the romantic rescue that Yugi had done for Yami.

Around the early morning, where the sun wasn't yet up, two tri-colored hair boys & a sandy-blonde hair laid on the sand; one of them looking dead, while the other two had tails. Yugi managed to bring Yami to a shore, which happened to be an Egypt shore, but Yugi didn't know that. The storm had finally passed & only remained light-grey clouds that gave a peak of the light, blue early morning sky. Beside Yugi was Marik, who he had found as he was swimming to shore.

Yugi looked at Yami worryingly as he saw that his love was very still. While, Marik was opening his eyes to see if he was still alive.

"Is..is he dead?" Yugi asked, sadness in his tone.

"It's hard to tell, kiddo." Marik said, while looking at Yami for any sign of life.

Marik saw the look of despair on Yugi's face & tried to look even harder. Marik then picked out Yami's left foot & put it against his ear.

"Dammit! Sorry kiddo, I-I can't make out a heartbeat.." Marik said, sadly.

But, Yugi didn't hear the last words Marik said as he saw Yami breathe a little bit.

"He's breathing...He is so handsome.." Yugi says in excitement at first, before ending it in a soft tone.

Yugi picked up a piece of Yami's locks & gently put his hand on Yami's cheek. Yugi had began to sing unknowingly;

Washing up the rocks of the shore, were Malik & Rebecca. Marik immediately swam to his husband & hugged him, while Rebecca had finally regained consciousness. As she adjusted her glasses, she heard Yugi singing & looked up, only to see Yugi singing to a human.

(Yugi Continues Singing)

What would I do to see you, smiling at me?

Rebecca's jaw dropped, which Marik had pushed back into place. As Rebecca got her senses back, she was about to yell at Yugi, before getting trampled by Malik & Marik, who held her down under the water. They both looked back at the cute scene of Yugi & his human love.

(Yugi Continues Singing)

Whenever we walk,
Whenever we run,
if we could stay all day in the sun.

The sun began to peak through the clouds, which shined down on Yugi & Yami, who finally began to gain consciousness. As he began to open his eyes a bit, he heard the most angelic voice he had ever heard & he felt a soft hand on his left cheek & put his own hand on top of that hand, As he gathered much of his strength, he was able to catch a glimpse of his savior, to see that it was a boy. He wasn't able to see the boy fully, but was able to capture the most beautiful shade of amethyst eyes that he had ever seen.

(Yugi Continues Singing)

Just you & me,
& I could be,
Part of Your World.

As the sound of footsteps & barking in the distance, Yugi snapped his head up to see Yami's friend & animals coming over. Quickly heading back towards the sea, Yugi gently kissed Yami's palm & dived into the water as Sky came up to her master & started licking him in joy.

"Yami? Yami!" Seto exclaimed, finally finding his cousin.

Sky had finished licking her master, before turning back to the water, where she saw that young boy go to.

"You truly aim to give me a heart attack, don't you?' Mahad asked, playfully as he kneeled down to check the Pharaoh.

Yami was helped to his feet by Seto & Mahad, only he had been too dazed out to notice. Only looking forward in a daze & slightly tumbling.

"A boy..." Yami began to say.

Seto & Mahad look at the Pharaoh in curiosity, watching him wobbly a bit.

"...he rescued me. He was singing...the most beautiful voice I've ever heard." Yami says, in a sort of love daze.

Sadly, Yami's legs began to give out, after being knocked down by an explosion & the harsh sea, it left it a bit hard to walk. As soon as Yami began to fall, Seto & Mahad quickly grabbed his arms & put Yami's arms over their shoulders.

"Ah, I think you've swallowed too much sea water my Pharaoh. Let's get you inside & give you a nice bath to soothe you." Mahad suggested, as he helps his friend to his feet.

"Sky! Come on!" Seto shouted, over to Sky, who was still trying to find the young man who saved her master's life.

Sky looked back at Seto & back at the sea, only to just walk over to Seto. Not noticing that 4 mer-people were hiding behind rocks. Yugi leaned against a rock that curved a bit to the top, while Malik & Marik watched the humans go. As for Rebecca, she is currently hyperventilating & trying to calm down. She then turned to Malik & Marik with a glare on her face.

"This. Never. Happened! We are just going to forget this whole thing never happened. The sea will never know. You two won't tell him. I won't tell him. And you both will stay in one piece. Got It?" Rebecca said, more demanding than asking.

Malik & Marik both nodded their heads in fright. They both knew to never mess with Rebecca when she is serious & angry.

But, Yugi wasn't paying attention to anything Rebecca said, as he is currently watching his human love walking or limping away. Yugi then proceeded to climb up the rock, as to make sure the beach was cleared & began to sing.

(Yugi Singing)

I don't know when,
I don't know how.
But, I know something's starting right now.
Watch & you'll see.
Someday I'll be,
Part of Your World!

A wave of water splashed behind Yugi as he watched Yami walk away completely. In his heart, Yugi knew that someday he will be with Yami forever.

'I will be with you someday...just wait for me, my Yami.' Yugi whispered, his tone of voice filled with love.

However, none of the mer-people saw Rex & Weevil from the background, their main focus on Yugi & what Yugi had confessed through his song & whisper.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no!*Laughs*I can't stand it anymore. This is way too easy. The child is in love. With a human!*Laughs harder*And it couldn't have been any human, oh no, it had to be a Pharaoh! His grandpa will definitely love this!" Anubis said, laughing harder at the sight of Yugi through Rex & Weevil's eyes.

This was simply too easy for Anubis. The young prince was foolish,

"Just imagine it; King Muto's headstrong, lovesick grandson. But, in love with a human! Although, he would make a charming addition to my collection." Anubis said, looking behind him at his entrance.

On the ground are polyps, but they were once mer-people as well, but they made a deal with the Sea Sorcerer. While looking at his garden of polyps, Anubis began to laugh evilly as the polyps shivered in fear that the sight of Anubis laughing evilly.
