Trouble Under the Sea
As the morning began in the Sea, every mer-person had begun to wake up & begin their normal morning routines. A group of fish swam by a tower that was not only connected to the palace, but also served as the royal children's bedrooms.
Inside, there are 6 rooms each with a seaweed door that covers each entrance of their rooms. In the center of their rooms, was a purple coral makeup station, but it only had mirrors, hairbrushes, flowers around it. The station had a total of 6 mirrors, only three of the royals were using it; Mai & Alexis were brushing their hair, while Jaden made funny faces in his mirror. But, the other three weren't using theirs, because one of them was inside their room, while the other two are trying to get the other one out of his room.
"Yugi! Come on out now, please. You've already served the punishment that Grandpa gave you." Yusei said, trying to get Yugi to come out of his room.
After Yugi had returned back home, Grandpa wasn't hard on Yugi before, but gave him two days to be in his room. Yusei, though, was surprised that Yugi didn't argue that he didn't mind being confined to his room. As far as he knew, Yusei seemed to be the only one to notice that dazed blissful look his younger brother had on his face when he returned home.
"Listen to Yusei, Yugi. Just come on-" Jack began to say as well, before getting cut off by humming.
Yugi opened the seaweed door & swam past his oldest brothers, still humming a song to himself. His humming swimming caught the attention of his other siblings, they all watched him go to his mirror sat on the stone chair. They watch as he slightly brushes his bangs hair with his fingers. He continued to do his hair, as all of his siblings' heads were on the sides of the mirror; Alexis Mai on the left side, while Jaden, Jack, Yusei were on the right. All of them are still looking at their baby brother.
'Uhhhhh...anybody know what's goin' on with Yugi..?' Jaden whispered, but his siblings just shook their heads, still watching Yugi.
Yugi continued with his hair, not noticing his sibling's stares or Jaden's whisper, noticed two flowers by his mirror; one purple, the other one is red. Yugi saw this & immediately thought of his true love.
(This must be a sign of fate that we are made for each other, my Yami.) Yugi thought in bliss as he grabbed both flowers, but only put the red one on the left side of his hair.
To say that Yugi's siblings were surprised was a huge understatement. They all knew that Yugi wasn't always ok with looking a bit feminine, certainly didn't like girly things. But, to see him actually put a flower in his hair, definitely proves what Yusei had thought before; Something is definitely going on with Yugi.
After Yugi made sure that the red flower stayed in his hair & that the other flower was in his hand, he leaped from his stone chair & swam past his siblings, who only looked at him in shock. Before Yugi could make it out of the tower, he had bumped into his grandpa.
King Muto was surprised, to say the least, to see his youngest grandson had a blissful smile on his face & was happy. Before King Muto could say anything, Yugi intercepted.
"*Giggling*Good morning, grandpa." Yugi said, as he put the purple flower in his grandpa's hand & kissed his cheek.
"Oh!*Chuckling*" King Muto exclaimed in a surprised, yet happy tone. He hadn't seen Yugi do that since he was a child.
Yugi then swam down the corridor, still humming a song to himself. As he did, he passed the palace's well known healer & her assistant, Ishizu Odion Ishtar. Ishizu looked at the youngest prince that swam past them in confusion for the young one's happiness. But, a realization appeared on her face a gentle smile appeared on her face as she told Odion to swim forward, which he did with Ishizu behind him.
As Ishizu Odion stood before their King, Ishizu couldn't help but giggle at the shocked expression of Yugi's family.
"My, my.*Slightly giggled*Prince Yugi certainly has it bad, doesn't he?" Ishizu asked the King, knowing all the stares that she received as she said that.
"What? What has he got?" King Muto asked, wanting to know what has happened to his grandson.
Ishizu only giggled sent the princess a knowing look. Mai Alexis looked at Ishizu in confusion, not understanding what her stare meant. But, they both looked at each other in realization & both giggled in delight. However, the men weren't amused nor did they understand what Ishizu meant & were getting more confused as Mai & Alexis laughed.
"Would someone just tell us already?! Seriously, I'm so confused here!" Jaden said, his voice filled with confusion & slight anger towards the situation.
Alexis only giggled a bit more, as Mai hit Jaden over the head, resulting in a 'ow!' from him.
"Isn't it obvious, grandpa? Our little brother Yugi, is in love~" Alexis said, putting both hands on her pink cheeks.
Yusei, Jaden, Jack all froze in shock, not moving a muscle. This caused Mai to laugh & point at her brothers, teasing them that they couldn't tell that Yugi is in love.
"Well, that's...um..wow..." Jaden tried to say, only managing to get over some of his shock.
However, Yusei & Jack was still frozen & not responsive. The thought of their pure, baby brother in love is just too much for them to handle & process all at once.
"Yugi...in love?" King Muto says in a trance, with a smile beginning to form on his face as he looks at the flower that his grandson had given to him.
But, he was then broken from his trance by a sound that anyone could hear from anywhere in the sea.
"WHAT?!" Yusei Jack screamed, practically waking anything in the sea.
"Ok, ok. Calm down now, Rebecca. So far, so good." Rebecca said to herself, while swimming back forth, kind of a human version of pacing.
Currently, she is still pacing/swimming back forth, while biting her nails. Rebecca had caught Yugi outside the palace & quickly swam to him, pulled him away to talk. But, she could tell from Yugi's dazed expression, that he was still thinking of his human.
Rebecca had been panicking thinking ever since the 'Yugi falling for a human' incident. She had made sure that not only Yugi, Malik, Marik would keep this incident a secret, but herself too. She knew herself to know that, she would tell King Muto everything, but then that would betray the promise she made to Yugi.
So, she tried to keep her distance, but she knew that Yugi's crush couldn't keep going. She has to put an end to it, before it hurts him.
"I don't think the King suspects anything, which is good. But, it will not be easy hiding something BIG like this!" Rebecca said, talking mostly to herself, but stopped as a yellow flower petal landed on her face.
Rebecca blew the flower petal from her face & looked up to see Yugi playing with a flower. He is still laying flat on his chest on a large flat stone, with his left hand on his cheek the other picking the yellow petals off the flower.
When Rebecca had first seen Yugi with a flower in his hair, she was more than shocked to see it. She knew that Yugi never did these types of girly things, only after meeting that human prince, did he change. This action Yugi made, proved just how hard he had fallen for the humans. Yugi seemed more interested in the flower than listening to her.
"*Sighs happily*He loves me...Mmm, he loves me not." Yugi said, as he kept pulling the petals, only frowning at the end of his sentence.
Rebecca had seen Yugi do this for the past 5 minutes, him saying 'He loves me, he loves me not.', over & over again. Rebecca then jumped slightly when she heard a gasp from Yugi & turned her head to see if he was okay, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
"*Gasp*He loves me!*Giggles*I knew it!" Yugi says, while holding up the last petal holding it to his chest.
Rebecca sighed in irritation. She then started swimming up in front of Yugi, who is still giggling happily, trying to reason with him.
"Yugi-bear, stop with this crazy talk." Rebecca said, trying to be stern, but Yugi didn't listen.
"I've got to see him again, tonight! I bet Marik knows where he lives!" Yugi says, jumping from his stone starting to swim away, not listening to Rebecca.
"Yugi-bear, please! Will you get you head out of the clouds back into the water, where it belongs?" Rebecca asks, grabbing Yugi by the shoulder pulling him back.
But, once again, Yugi didn't listen & surprisingly kept swimming, even though a bit slower, with Rebecca trying to pull him back.
"I'll swim up to his castle, then Malik can start splashing around to get his attention. And then, I'll go..." Yugi says, but gets cut off.
"Down here, is your home!" Rebecca says, in a stern voice that finally got Yugi's attention.
Rebecca then swam right in front of Yugi's face, who looked surprised & alert at Rebecca.
"Listen to me Yugi-bear! The human world, it's a mess. Life under the sea, is better than anything they got up there!" Rebecca says, pushing Yugi back to his flat stone & starts to sing.
Even though Yugi would rather not listen & continue with his plan to see Yami again, he didn't want to be rude. So, he sat back & listened to Rebecca trying to explain to him, in song.

The seaweed is always greener, in somebody else's lake.
You dream about going out,
Rebecca sings, but sort of stops as she sees Yugi look back at the surface. Rebecca gently grabs Yugi's chin & makes him face her.

But that is a mistake!
Just look at the world around you,
Right here on the ocean floor.
Yugi slightly raised his eyebrow at Rebecca's claim, but nevertheless looked around him & saw a group of saddle goatfish heading their way to him.

Such wonderful things around you, what more could you be looking for?
Rebecca sang, as the group of saddle goatfish swam to Yugi circled around his hair to make it float more, along with making him laugh. Seeing this, Rebecca smiled & continued her play & kept singing.

Up on the shore, they work all day.
Out in the sun, they slave away.
Rebecca keeps singing, while mimicking humans that are working pretending to die at the sun. Before, jumping back up in a more spirited mood.

While, we devoting our full time to floating Under the Sea.

Rebecca swirled around to see a large blue lobster playing on clamshells as a xylophone. She smiled & continued to sing, as Yugi is listening a bit more as when music is involved.

Down here all the fish are happy.
As off through the waves they roll, yeah.
But, the fish on the land, ain't happy.
They sad 'cause they are in their bowl.
Yugi then saw a blue fish in a bubble, looking sad. Yugi puts a finger on his chin & looks sad at seeing the blue fish trapped in a bubble. When the bubbled fish moved away from his face, Yugi jumped back a bit at the sight of Rebecca up in his face.

But, fish in the bowl is lucky.
They're in for a worser fate.
One day, when the boss gets hungry...
Rebecca sings, as she pops the bubble, sending the blue fish on top of a plate of se fruits.

Guess who's gonna' be on the plate.
This blue fish sang, before swimming away, as Rebecca took control over the song again.

Oh No! Under the Sea.

Nobody beat us, fry us, eat us in fricassee.
Yugi sighs as he plays with the small flower on the ground, thinking how Rebecca could be wrong still thinking of Yami.

We are what the land folks love to cook,
Under the Sea, we are off the hook!
We got no troubles, Life is the bubble.
Rebecca sings as other sea creatures began to appear singing along with her.

Rebecca then swims in a clear area as she starts a bit of a solo, while another pair of fish started singing with her too.

More & more, sea animals joined in rapidly. All of them followed Rebecca's instruction, as when she noticed more sea creatures coming, she wasn't the head of the palace's orchestra for nothing. She even notices some enemy sea creatures, singing & playing together.

Even the sturgeon the ray, they get the urge start to play.
We got the spirit,
you've got to hear it.

Rebecca sings, as in fact, a Sturgeon the Ray started playing sea objects as instruments.

The Carp play the harp,
The Plaice play the bass, they sounding' sharp.
The Chub play the tub,
The Fluke is the duke of the soul.
"Yeah." Fluke said.

The Ray, he can play.

The Trout rockin' out,
The Blackfish, she sings.
The Smelt the Sprat, they know where it's at.
And, oh, that blowfish blow!
Rebecca laughs as the music continues to go around. As all kinds of sea creatures dance & play music, Malik pops up from behind a rock & moves his head to search for a certain someone. He sees that he can't see Yugi from his position, so he decides to try & maneuver his way to find Yugi. As he swims, Malik can't help, but smile as he sees various sea creatures dancing & playing instruments together. As he maneuvers, one of the sea creatures looks at him in a seductive look. Before she could try anything, Malik quickly says something that always works.
"Sorry miss, but um..I've got a husband." Malik says, feeling triumphant as he sees the lady fish swim away in disappointment.
When Malik spots Yugi, he immediately starts to swim in his direction. Yugi sees Malik on his way, but before he could say anything, Malik shushes him. Malik then cups one of his hands, then places it directly on Yugi's left ear whispers into Yugi's ear.
'We have to go to your treasure room, me Marik got you something, that we know you'll like a lot.' Malik whispered into Yugi's ear.
Yugi's face lights up in curiosity & excitement. He then nodded to Malik, who grabbed Yugi's hand & both of them started to swim away, Rebecca not even noticing.

As every sea creature posed towards Yugi stone, they discovered that he was gone.
"Yugi-bear?" Rebecca questioned, seeing no Yugi.
Every creature sighed in disappointment turned around to swim away, while Rebecca inspected every inch of the flat stone for any traces of Yugi.
"Oh boy...somebody's got to nail that boy's fins to the floor, honestly." Rebecca said, sighing in disappointment closing her eyes, while rubbing her temple.
"Rebecca!" Someone shouted.
Rebecca jumped a bit & opened her eyes to the sound of her grandfather. Arthur came from a rock & immediately spotted Rebecca swam towards her, a look of urgency on his face.
"Rebecca, I've been looking all over for you, young lady." Arthur began to say, a lecture at the tip of his tongue.
Rebecca looked slightly bad at herself for worrying her grandfather, but it wasn't the worst of it.
"But, we'll deal with that later. I've got an urgent message from the King." Arthur says, not noticing the look of slight horror on Rebecca's face,
"The K-King..*Gulps*..about what..?" Rebecca hesitantly asked.
"All I know is that he needs to see you right away. He says it's something about Yugi. So we must go quickly." Arthur says, already turning swimming away.
"*Gasps*He knows..!" Rebecca said in fright, as she quivers & follows her grandfather.
Back at the palace, King Muto had resided in his throne room in his seat, still holding the flower that Yugi gave him. Among him are Yusei & Jack, who still have somewhat surprised looks on their usual poker faces. It was still hard to believe that their little brother found love, before them or that he found any at all. They always knew that Yugi is oblivious to love & always gets shy, even when someone compliments him.
"*Chuckles*Now, lets see now. Mmmm...who could the lucky mer-person be?" King Muto says to himself, a smug proud look on his face.
A cough from his left side interrupted him. He turned to see that it was Yusei & that he was pointing at the entrance to the throne room. King Muto looked, only to see Rebecca hiding half of herself behind a pillar, a look of slight fear & embarrassment on her face. King Muto realized that she must have heard what he said & looked a tad embarrassed himself.
"*Clears Throat*Come in, Rebecca." King Muto says in a slight embarrassed tone, while hiding the flower behind the back.
Rebecca slowly came out of her hiding spot, immediately spotted two of Yugi's overprotective, scary, intimidating brothers. Rebecca had already started her prayers, knowing it's impossible to survive Yugi's eldest brothers. But, she remained calm on the outside & tried to control her breathing on the inside.
"*Mumbles*I must not overreact. I've got to stay calm." Rebecca mumbled, inhaling exhaling, before swimming her way to King Muto.
Yusei watched Rebecca as she swam her way towards his grandpa, the look of fear & nervousness appearing in her eyes.
"*Squeaky Voice*Yes!" Rebecca tried to say, before forcing a cough from her throat.
He quickly glanced at Jack, who also nodded at the nervousness & fear in her voice when she spoke. But, the grandpa didn't take concern in it.
"*Clears Throat*Yes, your majesty." Rebecca says, this time more normal.
"Rebecca. I am very concerned about Yugi. I know that you have a protectiveness to my grandson, so I must ask. Have you noticed He's been acting peculiar lately?" King Muto asks innocently, lightly twirling his triton, having an eye glanced at Rebecca.
"Oh! Uh, peculiar..?" Rebecca asks innocently, trying to keep her calm.
"Yeah, you know, like mooning about. Daydreaming, singing to himself." Yusei says, listing all of the things he saw in the morning
"You don't know? Knowing you, you're really telling us that you've never noticed?" Jack said, his arms crossed a look of doubt on his face.
Ever since Yugi was 7 years old, Rebecca had been known as a sort of stalker, but only really spying on Yugi when he was in her area or near her home.
"Well..um..I.." Rebecca tries to explain,
"Rebecca." King Muto says in a knowing tone.
"Hmmm?" Rebecca hums in nervousness.
King Muto waves his hand over to him, indicating for Rebecca to come forward. Rebecca gulped once more, reluctantly swam up to meet King Muto in the eyes.
"I know you've been keeping something from me Rebecca, ever since Yugi was grounded for the past two days." King Muto says, in teasing suspicion getting his face slightly closer to Rebecca's.
"*Gulps*K-Keeping something, like what..?" Rebecca says in a very nervous tone.
"You know, about Yugi." Yusei says, also getting up close.
Rebecca feels her hands shaking & quickly hides them behind her back, barely holding herself together.
"Yugi?" Rebecca quiveringly asks.
"In love, hmmm?" King Muto says teasingly, trying to hide his smile.
Rebecca didn't get the teasing, but she ultimately broke down & started spilling everything.
"*Whimpers*I tried to stop him, your majesty. But, Yugi-bear wouldn't listen to me!" Rebecca shouts, putting her hands behind her eyes, not acknowledging what she is about to say.
King Muto leaned back in shock at what Rebecca said, while Yusei & Jack looked intrigued.
"I told him to stay away from humans! They are bad! That they're terrible! They are trouble-!" Rebecca says, not knowing what she had unleashed.
"Humans?! WHAT ABOUT HUMANS?!" King Muto & Yusei both screamed at Rebecca in demand.
Rebecca finally uncovered her eyes finally & realized just what she had done.
"*Chuckles Nervously*Oh, humans...W-Who said anything about humans,*Yelp*" Rebecca nervously tries to say, lightly swimming away from King Muto & Yusei, before getting grabbed from behind.
Rebecca nervously looked up & saw a very pissed off looking Jack. Rebecca gulped, knowing she certainly screwed up everything.
"I believe that the King & the heir to the throne, asked you a question...Now tell us,...What. Human?" Jack demanded, a growl at the end of his sentence.
Rebecca gulped once more buckets of sweat appeared on her head.
Yugi is going to be in more trouble than any mer-person was ever going to be in.
Well...Rebecca screwed up everything...I think you guys know what's about to happen next.
