Poor Unfortunate Soul

Yugi giggled childishly, as Malik kept pulling him in the direction of their secret treasure cave. Yugi knew that Malik & Marik got him something, but Malik didn't tell him what exactly the surprise is & why he had a smile on his face when he told him.

"*Giggles*Ok, Malik! Come on, why can't you just tell me what the surprise is?" Yugi said, playfully impatient.

"You'll see. Lets just say that it took awhile for me & Marik to find & bring it here." Malik said, not giving anything else away.

Yugi playfully rolled his eyes, that didn't really hint at what the present was, & kept swimming behind Malik. Yugi was slight distracted, thoughts about Yami invaded his mind, & he didn't notice Malik stop. Letting out 'ow!" as Yugi bumped into Malik's back, he swam to the side of him to question why he stopped, until Yugi looked at the corner of his eye & gasped. Marik was there, with his arms crossed & a smirk on display, but Yugi didn't play attention to that. No, he looked at what was beside Marik, a statue. But, not any statue, it's the one of his true love; Yami Sennen.

"Oh...Malik, Marik...you guys are the best! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Yugi exclaimed, hugging both mermen's, who happily hugged back.

Yugi then let both mermen's go & proceeded to swim up to Yami's statue.

"It looks just like him. It even has his eyes, his handsome..crimson eyes..." Yugi says, looking at the statue in love & bliss.

Malik & Marik both looked at each other, then back at Yugi with a smile plastered on their faces. They saw just how hard Yugi had fallen for this human & they wanted to give him something that they knew Yugi would love. Then they both heard giggling & looked back up to see Yugi, looking at them with a playful smile. Before they could ask what it was, Yugi decided to do a bit of roleplaying.

"Oh!*Giggles*Why, Yami, run away with you? My goodness, that's so, so sudden.*Giggles more*" Yugi says, his arms hugging himself while giggling & blushing.

Malik & Marik also laughed a bit, seeing how cute Yugi is trying to be. Yugi then proceeded to spin around in circles, still hugging himself & giggling like there was no care in the world. Yugi finally released his arms around him & stopped spinning, taking a breather with his eyes closed in bliss.

But, as he opened them, he saw a shadow of 3 mer-people. Yugi had a questionable expression on his face, before gasping in horror as he finally realized who those mer-people were.

"*Gasps*Grandpa, Yusei, Jack!" Yugi exclaims, both of his hands over his mouth.

In the shadows, were indeed King Muto, Prince Yusei & Jack; all with expressions of anger & shock. The minute Yugi's words left his mouth, Marik tensed up & quickly grabbed a shock Malik & hid behind the paintings of Yugi's treasure cavern. Both husbands peaked from the paintings to see what was about to happen. Yugi then saw a fourth shadow, it's Rebecca. She rubbed her left hand on her right arm, with a guilty & apologetic look, when her eyes met Yugi's shocked & hurt ones.

"B-But, Rebecca...you promised-" Yugi began to say, but was cut off by a dangerously calm voice.

"I've considered myself a reasonable merman. I set certain rules & I expect those rules to be obeyed." King Muto said in a strangely calm tone, as he swam a bit towards Yugi.

Yugi bit his petal-like lip in slight fear as he put his back against Yami's statue, trying to hide it from his grandpa.

"But, Grandpa, I..." Yugi began to say, but got cut off.

"Is it true that you saved a human, from drowning?!" Jack questioned, his arms crossed over his chest.

"I had to, Jack..." Yugi tried to say, again being cut off.

"Contact between the human world & the mer-world is strictly forbidden! Yugi you know that! Everybody knows that! You could have died!" Yusei exclaims, anger & worry in his voice as he faces Yugi.

Yugi backed away a bit more & started to be near in tears. Yusei never really said anything possibly hurtful to Yugi, it just shows how worried & mad he is. But, Yugi wouldn't back down now, he had to make them understand.

"But, you don't understand! He could have died!" Yugi exclaims to his eldest brothers & his grandpa.

"One less human to worry about! Who cares, Yugi!" Jack exclaimed.

Yugi puffed in slight anger. How dare his brother say that about Yami?!

"I care, Jack! Besides, none of you don't even know him!" Yugi said back, slight anger in his voice.

"Know him?! I don't have to know him! They're all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning fish-eaters, incapable of feeling-" King Muto says, before getting cut off by words he never thought he hear.

Yugi's fear grew a bit at his grandpa's rant about humans, but so did his anger. He may love his grandpa, but he will not take him insulting the man that Yugi loves. So, it a leap of anger, Yugi shouted something that will lead to dire consequences.

"Grandpa...DON'T YOU DARE SAY THOSE THINGS ABOUT HIM. I LOVE HIM!" Yugi shouted, his eyes open in determination & love.

Gasps were heard at Yugi's claim. Rebecca was still at her spot, biting her nails as she heard Yugi say the words. Yusei & Jack looked at their youngest brother in surprise.

(H-He...loves a..human..?!) Jack thought, still surprised at his baby brother.

However Yusei didn't focus much on Yugi's claim, but rather the face of his grandpa & seeing how he took it. Lets just say, it is something beyond shock.

"No...have you lost all your sense completely?! He's a human, you're a merman!" King Muto says, trying to hold his anger in.

"I don't care." Yugi says back, looking to the side, to not see his grandpa's face.

King Muto clenched his right hand in anger, & looked around the cavern. He then turned back to Yugi, who was still looking to the side.

"So help me, Yugi, I am going to get through to you. And if this is the only way...so be it!" King Muto said, his triton glowing bright.

Yusei saw what his grandpa was doing & what he was about to do. Before Yusei could tell him to not do it, it was already too late.

King Muto began firing at a globe, which caused it to explode, making Yugi gasp in horror as he realized what his grandpa was planning to do.

"Grandpa! No, please!" Yugi begs, but having no effect.

His grandpa kept on firing at any object he saw; paintings, jewelry, bottles, books, anything he saw. As he continued, Rebecca, Yusei, Jack, Malik, & Marik stood in shock as to what King Muto was doing. Malik & Marik clenched on each other tightly, Rebecca began crying a bit at the damage she had caused, Jack was surprised & horrified at his grandpa's doing, while Yusei...he just closed his eyes, tensing whenever he heard his baby brother's pleas.

"Grandpa, stop it! Grandpa, please just, stop it!" Yugi said as he swam towards his grandpa, attempting to grab the triton.

However, in his attempt, Yugi realized he left Yami's statue out in the open. King Muto saw this & aimed his triton at the human statue in a rage of fiery.

"Wait, Grandpa, please no!" Yugi tried pleading again.

But it failed once again. King Muto's triton shot magic at the statue, making it glow bright. Yugi had to cover his eyes & before he knew it, Yami's statue had blown up into a million pieces. Yugi dropped his hands to side limply, gently swimming to the pile of pieces of marble, before collapsing in tears as his arms braced his face & quivering in his form.

King Muto began to swim away, but looked back at his grandson. The look of regret flashed on his face as he listened to Yugi's sobbing, before turning away from the destroyed cavern.

Rebecca, Malik, Marik, & Yugi's brothers looked on as King Muto swam away, before Rebecca quietly swam towards Yugi.

"Yugi-bear, I...I.." Rebecca tried to say, but couldn't get the words out.

"*Sobs*Just...please leave.." Yugi said, his voice sounding broken & hurt.

Rebecca hand flinched in hurt, but hesitantly left, with Malik & Marik behind her. The only two that stayed were the ones that were supposed to protect Yugi from getting hurt. Yusei tried to lay a hand on Yugi's shoulder, but Yugi flinched in fear & quivered a bit more. Yusei reeled his hand in shock, before turning away & swimming fast out of the cave, with a slightly worried Jack behind him.

As everyone had left, Yugi continued to sob his heart out, not noticing two figures watching from above. As Rex & Weevil gently descended down to get to Yugi, Rex began to talk.

"Poor child. Poor sweet, innocent, pure child." Rex said from above.

Yugi slightly stopped his crying to look up & sea to half-human, half-eels; Unagi. He noticed that both eels began to swim around him, inspecting him, as they talked;

"He has a very serious problem, doesn't he, Rex?" Weevil knowingly asked, already knowing what to do.

"If only there was something that we could do?" Rex says, faking innocents.

"But, there is something, Rex." Weevil said, trying to get Yugi interested.

Which worked as Yugi began to turn his body to face both eels, while wiping some of the tears from his face.

"Who...*Sniff*who are you?" Yugi asked, slightly nervous at the eels.

"Don't be scared now." Rex said, swimming up to Yugi's face closely.

"We represent a certain someone, who could help you & your problem. Someone who can make all your dreams come true." Weevil said from behind Yugi, while grabbing his shoulders.

Yugi tensed up at the feeling of Weevil's hands, & gently tried to shake him off. Which worked, as Weevil swam up in front of Yugi, before pulling back & grabbing Rex in a sort of hug as their tails wrapped around each other. Weevil & Rex had their arms around each other, along with their tails, & both talked at the same time;

"Just imagine...you & your pharaoh...together forever." Both said at the same time, looking at Yugi.

"I-I..I don't understand. W-What do you mean..?" Yugi asked, confused as to what the eels are talking about.

"Anubis has great powers." Rex said, smirking at Yugi.

"*Gasps*The Sea Sorcerer? Why that's...I couldn't possibly..." Yugi tried to say, trying to understand the information given to him.

But, Yugi ultimately denied that it could be true. One of the many stories he heard as a child was that; Anubis, the Sea Sorcerer, had lost his powers from his fight with his grandpa after he tried to get the kingdom. Even if, Anubis had a bit of magic, it would be a cruel joke for Yugi to believe he had a chance with his true love.

"No! Get out, please! Just, leave me alone!" Yugi exclaimed, turning back around & into his arms once again.

Rex & Weevil looked slightly annoyed with Yugi' answer, but both had a wicked smile on their faces in an instance. They would get Yugi to come with them a different way.

"Well, suit yourself, kid." Weevil said, swimming away.

"It was only a suggestion..." Rex said, purposely knocking over the piece of Yami's face towards Yugi.

Yugi heard a 'clink' beside him & looked to see the face of Yami's statue. Yugi gently picked it up & caressed the face, while thinking.

(Even if it is Anubis...even if it's a small chance...I have to take it! For Yami...) Yugi thought passionately.

Yugi then placed the piece down & took a deep breath. He made a decision. Yugi quickly turned around, to see that Weevil & Rex just barely made it to the entrance of the cavern.

"Wait!" Yugi said, hoping they heard him.

As soon as Yugi said that, Rex & Weevil turned their heads to him in unison.

"Yes?~" Both of them said, in unison.

Currently, Malik, Marik, Rebecca, Jack & Yusei were outside, all of them in a sad mood. Along with Marik staring daggers at Rebecca, who flinched in fear.

"*Sniffs*Poor Yugi...he didn't deserve that." Malik said, being held by Marik & wiping some of his tears away.

"...I didn't mean to tell. Honestly, it was an accident.." Rebecca says, trying to explain her actions.

"That doesn't matter! You still told! You broke Yugi's trust!" Marik argued to Rebecca.

Rebecca began to get a bit angry at Marik. It wasn't her fault that Yugi decided to fall in love with a human.

"Yugi can't keep holding onto a fantasy of where he could love a human! It's just...wrong!" Rebecca says, trying to prove her argument.

Marik only 'tsk' at her & glared angrily at her, his arms still around Malik, as he spoke in a more harsher voice.

"You're just saying that, because you've got a crush on the kid. Everyone knows it. Plus, I'm not seeing anyone agreeing with you." Marik said as he looked specifically at Yugi's brothers, who were surprisingly quiet since they got out of the cavern.

Jack had not said a word, but his eyes somewhat agreed with Marik, but his eyes were mostly on Yusei, who put his head in his arms against a boulder. Jack knew exactly why Yusei was acting like this. When Yugi had been born & growing up, he always went to Yusei for comfort & love. Don't get Jack wrong, Yugi always went to the rest of his family, but Yusei was more of a comfort for Yugi. Yusei's touch always made Yugi feel safe. So when Yugi flinched away from Yusei's touch, it was like Yusei wasn't safe anymore & that hurt Yusei, a lot.

Jack only looked back at Marik then at Rebecca. After a few quick seconds, Jack turned back to Marik, with a slight nod of his head. Marik nodded back, before giving Rebecca a slight triumphant look.

"See? Even one the overprotective brothers, agrees with me." Marik said as pointed to Jack, when his hands weren't around Malik anymore, who calmed down & moved away from Marik's arms.

Before Rebecca could go further in her argument, he saw a shadow pass by her & it made her look up, only to Yugi swimming by two eels; Unagi. As she looked up, the others did as well, also looking shocked. Rebecca then swam up to Yugi & the eels, with Jack behind her.

"Yugi-bear? What are you doing?" Rebecca asked, but got no answer.

"Yugi, what are you doing with these riffraffs?" Jack asked, only to get the eel's responses.

"Who the hell are calling riffraff, rich boy?!" Rex said, getting up in Jack's face.

Before Jack could retort back, Yugi gently grabbed his brother's shoulder. Jack turned to Yugi, who had a determined look on his face.

"I'm going to see Anubis." Yugi said, letting go of Jack's shoulder & passing him.

Jack barely registered the words his younger brother said, until it finally hit him. Before he could tell Yugi that it's a crazy & stupid idea, Rebecca beat him to it.

"*Gasps & Shrieks*Yugi-bear, no! No, don't! He's a demon, a monster!" Rebecca says, grabbing Yugi by the shoulder & trying to pull him away.

But, Yugi, still feeling hurt & betrayed by Rebecca, simply shrugged her hands off his shoulders roughly. Before turning back to her, with a glare of pain.

"Why don't you tell my grandpa & my brothers? You've been pretty good at that!" Yugi said, before turning & swimming fast away.

Rebecca pulled her hands to her chest & stared at the figure of Yugi in hurt. Jack looked in shock as Yugi swam away from them, Yugi actually got mad & even glared at Rebecca. Jack kind of just stood there, not knowing what to do, when a hand smacked the back of his head. A red angry mark appeared on his head as he rubbed it & turned to yell at who it was, only to be faced with poker-face Yusei.

Jack was almost frozen in shock, but managed to hear what Yusei had said.

"Come on, if we swim fast enough, we might be able to catch them. But, knowing Yugi, he swims fast when his mind is made up & determined." Yusei said, already heading towards the direction Yugi was going.

Jack saw that Marik & Malik were also by Yusei's side & were in front of him & Rebecca. He & Rebecca looked at each other before trying to catch up with Yusei, Malik, & Marik. While everyone had begun to swim, Yusei had only one thought in his mind as he kept on swimming.

(Yugi...please don't do anything stupid...) Yusei thought, his mind willed with worry.

If only he knew how this would turn out.

Yugi kept on following Rex & Weevil through trenches of rocks & canyons, all the way to scary looking cave that was the shape of a large, dead, skull-head seahorse that had dark blue smoke coming out of it. Yugi took a slight move backwards, almost reconsidering his choice. But, Rex & Weevil weren't going to allow that to happen.

"This way~" Both of them said in unison, looking at Yugi.

As much as Yugi was afraid, he took a breath & tried to calm down, remembering the purpose for his choice. Or, rather for who.

(Remember...this is for Yami.) Yugi thought, as he managed to calm down a bit.

Yugi then began to follow Rex & Weevil again. As they entered, Yugi noticed the floor & nearly the walls covered in polyps, who looked in agony. While Yugi looked at them in horror & fear, one of them grabbed his arm & started pulling him towards the entrance. As Yugi began to struggle, another one grabbed his other arm & pulled it too at the entrance. But Yugi managed to pull his arms free & up to his chest, where he cradled them. Yugi huffed & puffed as he stared at the polyps, who almost looked defeated.

(If I didn't know better...I'd say that they were trying to save-) Yugi thought, before a booming voice spoke, specifically to him.

"Come in. Come in, innocent child." Anubis said, deep within his cavern.

Yugi looked to his left, still cautious, but reluctantly swam towards the voice. As he swam, to what he guessed as the center of Anubis's home, was a cocoon.

"We mustn't keep company in the doorway, that would be rude. One might question your upbringings.*Chuckling*" Anubis says, his voice coming from the cocoon.

Yugi went close to the cocoon, but back up when he saw Anubis come out of it & look at Yugi up & down. Then Anubis turned & walked to his mirror, where his blue pyramid hung.

"Now, then, you're here because you have a thing for this human, a Pharaoh. Not that I blame you, he is quite a catch." Anubis says, turning back to Yugi with a teasing smile.

Yugi could only smile hesitantly, he didn't understand where this conversation was going.

"Well, angelfish,*Clears throat*the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want, is to become a human, yourself." Anubis said, adjusting his cape & pyramid necklace whiling looking at Yugi through the mirror.

"*Gasps*Can...can you do that?" Yugi asks shyly & hesitantly, thinking it was too good to be true.

However, Yugi failed to notice the dark smirk appearing on Anubis's mouth. Anubis then turned to Yugi with a fake smile.

"My dear, innocent child...that's what I do. It's what I live for. To help unfortunate merfolk, like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn to." Anubis says, swimming a bit towards Yugi & running his finger under Yugi's chin.

Yugi slightly flinched at the finger, but looked at Anubis in hope, thinking that he was Yugi's only chance to be with his love.

(Anubis Singing)

I admit in the past, I've been a nasty.
They weren't kidding when they called, well, a Sorcerer.
But, You'll find nowadays, I've mended all my ways.
Repent, seen the light & made a switch to.
True, yes.

Anubis sang, while getting closer to Yugi, who backed up a bit from the closeness & watch as Anubis backed off & continued singing.

(Anubis Continues Singing)

And I fortunately know a little magic,
It's a talent that I've always have possessed.

Anubis sings, as he conjures a cauldron from the ground, as it was filled with blue smoke. Yugi look at, in wonder & curiosity.

And here lately, please don't laugh,
I use on behalf of the lonely & depressed.

Yugi looked as Anubis pulled out two hologram smoke mer-people; one very skinny man & one somewhat large girl. Yugi looked at these mer-people in sadness, while Anubis looked successfully fooling Yugi.

'Pathetic' Anubis whispered to Rex & Weevil, who laughed silently in return.

Anubis then began to sing again, while slightly swimming around the cauldron with Rex & Weevil swimming around him.

Poor Unfortunate Souls.
In pain,
In need.
This one longing to be thinner,
That one wants to get the girl.

Anubis sings, as he uses his hands to grab chins of the mer-people smoke holograms.

And do I help them?
Yes indeed.

Anubis sings, as he snaps his fingers & both mer-people got what they wanted; The girl got thinner & the man got buff, along with the girl, who wanted to be thinner.

Those Poor Unfortunate Souls
So sad, so true.

Whiling singing, no one saw 5 mer-people entering the cavern. Yusei & Jack looked forward to see any guards, but none, except the many, many polyps. As all 5 of them entered, each had their reaction; Yusei & Jack were on alert, Marik only shivered a bit, while Rebecca & Malik quivered in fear seeing so many polyps looking at them in agony. As they all swam quietly, they could hear Anubis singing.

(Anubis Continues Singing)

They come flocking to my Cauldron, crying spells, Anubis, please & I help them.
Yes, I do
Now its happen once or twice, someone couldn't pay the price.
And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em across the coal.

Anubis sings, in fake sadness, as he demonstrates what happens, He forces his hand on the hologram smoke mer-people, who turn into polyps. Yugi gasped in horror as he realized that those were mer-people that grabbed his arms. But Yugi wasn't the only one who got disgusted; Yusei & Jack looked at Anubis in anger for doing something like that to their people, Marik looked like her was about to throw up & so did Malik, while Rebecca had he hands over her mouth to prevent any crying noises.

Yes, I've had the odd complaint,
But on the whole I've been a saint.
To those poor unfortunate souls.

Anubis stops singing as he swims over to Yugi, behind him are the polyps that were once mer-people were shivering in fear. Yugi looked behind him & couldn't help but look at those poor mer-people in pain & helplessness, wishing he could help. But then Yugi felt an arm wrapped around his shoulder & turned to see that it was Anubis's arm.

"Now, here's the deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days." Anubis says, as he pulls Yugi closer to the cauldron.

Yugi slightly terrified of the big arm around his shoulders, he almost didn't hear what Anubis said about the potion. But, Yugi sighed in relief when the arm was taken off, only to be forced down to meet the cauldron.

"Now listen carefully, because this is the most important part." Anubis said, conjuring up the cauldron.

Yugi looks at the cauldron, ready to hear what Anubis has to say. Not only him, but his family & friend listen in on it too.

"Before the sun sets on the third day, You've got to dear old Pharaoh to fall in love with you. That is, he's got to kiss you. But, not just any kiss. Not just any kiss, the kiss of true love" Anubis says, being serious, as he shows Yugi a red heart glowing.

Yugi looks at the heart in determination. He planned on getting his love to fall in love with him.

"If he does kiss you, before the sun sets on the third day, you'll remain a human permanently." Anubis say, showing Yugi a shadow version of him with legs.

Yugi only smiled at the image, not noticing the 5 figures hiding behind him, all looking devastated by the news of what might happen to Yugi if he succeeds.

(W-We..could lose Yugi...for good..?) Malik thought, can't image his best friend gone & gripping on Marik's hand, who responded with a tighter grab.

"But if he doesn't, you'll turn back into a merman, & you belong...to me!" Anubis says as the cauldron snaps shut on the image of Yugi back into a merman.

"Like hell, he will ever-!" Yusei shouts, coming out of his hiding spot, only to muffled by Rex's tail.

"Yusei! What are you-guys?! Did you all follow me?!" Yugi asks, now noticing that it wasn't just Yusei that followed him.

Weevil pointed a dagger at the others, who looked sort of sheepish for getting caught, while Yusei was struggling to remove Rex's tail from his upper body. Before Yugi could beg to let his brother & friends go, Anubis grabbed his chin & made him look up at him.

"So, do we have a deal?" Anubis asked, still holding onto Yugi's chin.

"If I become human, I'll never be with my family or friends again..." Yugi says, turning his head slightly to see the mer-people he would be leaving behind.

"That's right! But you'll have your man.*Chuckling*Life's full of tough choices, isn't it?" Anubis said, in a mocking tone as he released Yugi's chin.

Yugi looked at Anubis in a fear & hesitation. Yugi then looked down, feeling a bit selfish for wanting to be with Yami.

"Oh! There is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of payment. You can't get something out of nothing, you know." Anubis said, his back facing Yugi.

"But, I don't have any-" Yugi begins to say, only to be cut off by Anubis's tentacle place over his mouth.

"I'm not asking much. Just a token really, a trifle. You never even miss it. What I want from you is..." Anubis begins to say.

Anubis begins to move closer to Yugi & finally removes his tentacle from Yugi's mouth. Before Yugi had time to breath, Anubis, again, grabbed his chin & made him look straight into his eyes as he finished his payment.

"...your voice." Anubis says, removing his hand under Yugi's chin, who looked shocked.

"My voice?" Yugi asks, hesitantly.

"You've got it, sweetcakes. No more talking, singing. Zip!" Anubis says, popping his li[s as an example.

As if Yusei wasn't pissed enough by Anubis, he definitely is now. Not only had he planned on making his baby brother stay with him forever, buy taking away one of the things Yugi loves?!

(That Basterd...if his eel hadn't put this seaweed around my body, nothing would be holding me back right now..) Yusei thought angrily, already planning on murdering Anubis.

"But, without my voice, how can I.." Yugi tried to argue, but was interrupted.

"You have your looks! Your beautiful face! And don't understatement the importance of a body language*Laughs*" Anubis says, swaying his hips a bit, before singing.

(Anubis Singing)

The men up there don't like a lot of blabber.
They think a boy who likes to gossip is weirdo & a bore.
Yes, on land it's much preferred when men don't say a word.
And, after all, dear, what's is idle prattle for?
Come on, they're not all that impressed with conversation.
True gentle men avoid it, when they can.

Anubis sings, as his tentacles climb up to a clam shell pantry. Opening it, there are different colors of containers, which Anubis stares to toss into the open cauldron. Each one made an explosion.

(Anubis Continues Singing)

But, they dote & swoon & fawn on a man, who's withdrawn.
It's he who holds his tongue gets a man.

Anubis sings, as he pulls out a shark's tongue, which makes every mer-person cringe in disgust, before throwing it into the colorful cauldron & makes it blow up with more colorful smoke.

(Anubis Continues Singing)

Come on, you poor unfortunate soul!

Anubis keeps singing as he pops from both sides at Yugi, making him more nervous about his decision.

(Anubis Continues Singing)

& haven't got all day.

Anubis sang, as he swam around the exploding cauldron.

Anubis sang, as he appeared on Yugi's left side & showed him a sparklingly, golden contract. Which caused Yugi to look over, while a magic fish bone-pen appeared on the side.

& sign the scroll!

'Rex, Weevil! Now I've got him, boys' Anubis whispers, to a smirking Rex & Weevil.

Yugi looked back at his friend & siblings, before turning back, looking at the contract in determination,

(Anubis Continues Singing)

…unfortunate...

Yugi then grabs the fish bone-pen.

Anubis looks at him in delight & has a victory look on his face.

Rebecca, Marik, Malik, & Jack look at Yugi in shock & horror.

"No! Yugi don't do-" Yusei says, finally breaking free from the seaweed.

But, it was too late...

…because Yugi had signed the contract.

As soon as Yugi wrote his name on the contract, it flew right into Anubis's hand. As Anubis held the contract, he turned & grinned evilly, before slipping the contract away & preforming his magic.

"Beluga, Sevruga. Come winds of the Egyptian sea!" Anubis began to chant as a large blue cloud formed all around the mer-people.

Yugi looked around in shock as he saw the blue clouds all around them, along with a strong wind. Rebecca, Marik, Malik, Jack & Yusei all grabbed onto something in the cave, to make sure they weren't blown away by the strong winds.

"Larynxis, glossitis. Et max laryngitis, la voce to me!" Anubis chanting ended, with the cauldron making everything blue to green & boney like hand coming from it.

To say the group was shocked & scared would be an understatement. They had never seen that type of dark magic, & definitely lived up to Anubis's title.

"Now sing!" Anubis demanded in a booming voice, pointing at a scared Yugi.

Even though Yugi was scared, he had no choice, he made his decision & he is going to keep it.

"*Vocalizes*" Yugi starts to harmonize his voice, not noticing that a bright glow came from his throat.

But Anubis did, & so did Yusei.

"STOP, YUGI!" Yusei screamed, trying to get his younger brother's attention, but sadly didn't work.

"KEEP SINGING!" Anubis demands, lifting his hands, which makes the green boney hands go for Yugi's throat.

Yugi kept on singing higher, his eyes closed as he waited for what might happen to him. Yugi then felt like something was digging into his throat & it was painful. Yugi would have screamed, but he made no sound. As Yugi opened his eyes, he grasped his throat as he saw a bright ball that sounded like his singing voice, Yugi then realized, that is his voice. Yugi watched as his voice flowed towards Anubis's blue pyramid & was sucked into it.

Anubis stared at his blue pyramid in delight & started laughing crazily, as light beams sprouted out from the cauldron & shined a Yugi. Yugi was sucked into the light & confided into a bright golden bubble as his brothers & friends watched in horror as they were able to see that Yugi's tail splitted into two legs. The bubble then popped, as Yugi had two legs, but was waving frantically, not knowing how to swim with legs. Marik saw this & immediately jumped into action.

"We've got to get to the surface, quickly! Yugi can't breath underwater!" Marik shouted, as he first swam to Yugi.

The others somewhat got over their shock & helped Marik. Both Yugi's brothers under his arm-pits, Rebecca behind to help push, while Malik & Marik made a path for them to swim. All of them began to swim frantically to the surface, ignoring the evil laughter of Anubis below them. They all swam fast as fast as they could & thankfully managed to break to the surface, where Yugi breathed in, much needed air. But, as soon as he did, he collapsed on his brother's arms. Yusei & Jack managed to put their arms around an unconscious Yugi, while Marik, Malik, & Rebecca tried to figure out where the Pharaoh lived. All the while, Yusei turned his head to the side to face his younger brother's unconscious face & sighed.

(Oh Yugi...want are going to do...) Yusei thinks in worry, especially for his brother's future.
