For the last three weeks weeks Julie and John had talked nightly. Sometimes they would spend hours on the phone getting to know each other. They both couldn't wait for their date next week. After coming home from work and eating dinner Julie decided to have a glass of wine and soak in a bubble bath. She kept her cell phone in arms reach. Ten minutes later it started to ring.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hi." John said.

"How was work?"

"Good." "How did shooting go today?"

"Good." "What are you doing?"

"Taking a bubble bath and enjoying a glass of wine." "What are you doing?"

"Just sitting here thinking about our date."

"One more week."

"I know."

"I haven't looked forward to something so much in a long time."

"Me either."

A few afternoons later Julie was at work. She'd just got done with her break and went back to the ticket counter.

"Did you have a nice conversation with your boyfriend?" Sally asked smiling.

"John's not my boyfriend."

"Who are you kidding?" "Yes he is."

"We haven't even talked about that."

"You don't need to." "You talk every day." "You glow when you talk about him." "He's your boyfriend."

It was the night of Julie and John's date. He was picking her up at her house. She was very nervous and excited. She'd bought a new pink dress for the date. She was putting the finishing touches on herself when she heard a knock at the door. She went downstairs and answered the door. John was standing there dressed up.

"Hi." She said smiling.

"Hi." He said smiling back. They hugged. "Ready?"

"Yeah."

They were at the restaurant and had just ordered.

"So, what are we gonna talk about?" She said jokingly. They both laughed

"Well we can talk about how glad I am to see you." John said smiling.

"Yeah, this is a lot better then the phone."

"Yeah, I get to see your beautiful face." She smiled.

They were done eating and waiting for the check.

"So... John said leaning over and kissing her. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Absolutely." They kissed.

"Do you have to work next weekend?" "I work on Friday until seven but after that I'm off till Monday."

"Wanna spend the weekend at my house?"

"Sure."

John drove Julie home and walked her to the front door.

"I had so much fun tonight." She said.

"Me to." They kissed.

"Alright, you have to go before I invite you upstairs." "I don't think we should tonight, it's our first date."

He gave her another little kiss. "I'll see you next weekend."

"Ok goodnight."

"Goodnight." She unlocked the door and went into the house.
