Julie had packed her car before she went to work. She was going straight to John's after work. She was really looking forward to it, so was John. She was getting off work in about an hour.
"Thinking about going home to your lover?" Sally asked smiling.
"Shut up." She said smiling.
"Well you guys are gonna do it this weekend aren't you?"
"I think so but I want it to be spontaneous." "I don't want it to be excepted."
"He'll have you pregnant by the end of the weekend."
"He had a vasectomy."
"How do you know that?"
"From him being on that reality show."
"Oh." "Do you guys have anything planned?"
"Well he's making dinner when I get there." "I'm taking my bikini so I plan on swimming."
"He has a pool?"
"Yeah, a nice one."
"Well I want details about the sex."
She laughed. "Ok."
After work Julie went to John's house. She knocked on the front door. He answered it.
"Hey." He said smiling.
"Hi." She went inside. They kissed.
"How was work?"
"Good but I was thinking about you all day."
"What a coincidence, I was thinking about you all day."
She looked at the staircase. "I've always liked the railing on this staircase." He looked at her confused. "I've seen it before, on TV."
"Oh you've seen…
"Yeah." They went into the kitchen.
"I just started the grill." "How do you like your steak?"
"Medium."
"Ok." "Would you like some wine?"
"Yes, thank you."
After dinner they were laying on the couch. She was on top of him. His arms were around her back.
"That was a delicious dinner John." She said.
"Thank you." "You know Julie, there's still one thing I don't know about you." "Have you ever been married?"
"No." "I'm not against marriage I've just never felt an urge to get married."
"Have you ever thought a boyfriend was gonna propose to you?"
"One did once." "I was twenty." "I said no." "It crushed him but I just couldn't say yes." "I didn't feel right about it."
"Well you made the right choice then." "Can I have a kiss?" She kissed him. They felt asleep.
