Chibi-Kari: Can you believe that I've had this second chapter done for 3 years? Well I have...I quickly read it and cleaned it up. I just didn't want to leave it not up. There are some parts that are probably out of line with cannon since it was pre-Boruto anime and I didn't read that manga. I don't own, but I did have fun writing it!

Chapter 2
Hiashi sighed looking around the small room in the underground bunker. His son-in-law had been sending him on missions again, which he had been asking of the Fifth and Sixth for years, but to his chagrin they had always refused. Now that Hanabi—his heir—was older, he had convinced the Hokage's heir to allow him to go on missions. It had been a recent announcement and not widely known, but the transition of some administrative duties was already in place. Giving Hiashi an advantage he had been waiting on for years.
Although, he was aware that his personal relationship to the next leader—and the man's healthy fear of him—were the only reasons Naruto had said yes and started assigning missions. The only problem was, that the young man was sending him on diplomatic or courier missions only. He had a sinking feeling that it was actually his older daughter picking the missions. Hiashi would have been insulted if he didn't feel that was also justified by a healthy fear as well.
Hiashi nodded his head in a slight greeting as Sasuke entered the room. "The Rokudaime has sent me to get an update regarding the state of the other kingdoms."
Sasuke nodded before going to a small research desk and pulling out a small non-descript scroll. He sat down and started to outline all the intel he had picked up from the last few months. Silence overtook the room for only a few short moments.
"Here you go, sir." Sakura approached silently with a cup of tea.
Hiashi held himself back from jumping in shock. She was quiet…even for a ninja. But what could he really expect from these three. Trained by the legendary sannin. Not to mention, they had repeatedly surpassed and defied expectations. "Thank you."
Sakura smiled as she took a seat across from the older man. Hiashi immediately knew she wanted what so many women, his late wife included, wanted…an update on the life of her friends. "I was wondering how Naruto was doing."
The man sighed. If only Naruto had written them a letter or something he wouldn't have to suffer through this gossip session. "He is doing quite well. Making the country proud with his leadership. Everything is well controlled, especially with the civilian and ninja communities."
Sakura smiled to herself. It seemed that the man knew what she wanted to know but was being difficult. Unlucky for him, she had years' worth of experience dealing with difficult men. She eyed her husband from the corner of her eye. Hiashi was no match for her. And after this many years she had found being direct was the easiest course with difficult men. They didn't like it and would do anything to end the discomfort. "I was really wondering about the relationship between Hinata and Naruto. Are they happy? Do they have any news?" Sakura smiled as Hiashi flinched. Right where she wanted him.
"I'm not sure it's appropriate to share any information-" Hiashi coughed out.
Sakura waved her hand through the air dismissively. "They won't mind, of course. I am Naruto's close teammate and one of the reasons Hinata and Naruto are together. Are they still in the house by the market? Any plans for future little Narutos or Hinatas?" Sakura chuckled to herself. Like that was likely. She couldn't even image Naruto having a child.
Hiashi felt himself sitting up straighter. While he was alarmed at first, he was now proud of the coming child. "Actually, they are expecting in about six months."
Sakura blinked slightly. "Expecting? Expecting what? To move to the Hokage Mansion?"
"No, no. Their first child." Hiashi noticed Sasuke freeze at the same time Sakura did.
Hiashi caught the scroll that was suddenly thrown his way. "Thank you for coming out Huyga-sama. Please send our regards to Naruto." Hiashi then found himself outside the door.
He was frozen for a moment as he heard Sakura squeal from inside the room, "What are you doing Sasuke?"
"If the dobe is having a child, we need to as well." Sasuke said firmly.
Hiashi shook his head. It seemed the competition between those teammates wouldn't end anytime soon.
