The next morning Julie got up and got ready to go John's bail hearing. She was on the freeway. Everyone was going about eighty miles an hour. She went to slow down and panicked when she realized she couldn't. Traffic started to slow down. Julie hit the car in front of her hard spinning her car around. The car that was behind her slammed into the drivers side door. John had just walked into the court room for his hearing. He knew immediately that something was wrong when he didn't see Julie there. The judge came in ten minutes later.
"How does the defendant plead?" The judge asked.
"Not guilty Your Honor." John's lawyer said.
"Mr. Cena your bail is set at five-thousand dollars." "There's also an order of protection against you to stay five-hundred feet away from Madison Edwards." "Court is adjourned."
By the time John's bail was processed it was mid-afternoon. He tried calling Julie repeatedly with no answer. He went to his house.
"Julie?" "Julie, are you here baby?" He was starting to get frantic.
He went to her house.
"Julie?" "Julie where are you?"
John got out his phone and dialed Madison's number.
"Hello?" She said.
"Tell me what you did to Julie?" John demanded.
"You know you really shouldn't be talking to me John."
"Just tell me what you did to Julie god damn it!" He yelled.
"How would I know where she is?"
"Why are you doing this?"
"I love you John."
"You're sick."
"Love makes you do crazy things."
"Madison please, if you care about me at all, please I'm begging you, tell me what you did to Julie."
"I swear I don't know where she is but if I were you I'd try the hospital." She hung up.
John went to the hospital and up to the information desk.
"May I help you?"
"Is Julie Broderick registered at this hospital?"
She typed a few things into her computer. "What is your relation to her?"
"I'm her boyfriend."
"She's in the ICU."
"Oh god." He said worried.
