It has been a week since he came to Gravity Falls,and everything seems fine.Steven was settled in the mystery shack,he learned a lot about the Pine twins and more.He learned that Dipper and Mabel are both 12 years old,that Dipper has a crush on the girl who works the cash register named Wendy,that Wendy is the same age as him.He even learned that Gravity Falls has secret life forms in the forest.
After eating breakfast and going out to get some fresh air,Soos showed up to ask him about something."Hey,dude,do you want to go fishing today,"Soos asked."Sure.I'll bring the food for lunch," Steven replied.And then Steven went inside to get the things he might need for fishing.
After a while of fishing,Steven noticed something a the corner of his eye.It was the Pines.The twins' Great Uncle dragged them out to fish."Hey,dudes,"Soos exclaimed.The twins then looked over to see Steven and Soos on the S.S Cool Dude."Soos,Steven,"Mabel chirped happily."Hey Mabel," Steven said waving."Hey,did you hear that there's a prize for a picture of a monster,"Dipper whispers to Soos."Whoa,dude.Really,"Soos responds."And old man McGucket said that there's one on Scuttlebutt Island ,"Mabel said pointing to a small land in the middle of the lake."Can you give us a ride there,"Dipper asked."One sec. I got to check with Steven,"Soos answered."It's your boat," Steven replied."Yay,"the twins cheered."MONSTER HUNT,MONSTER HUNT,MONSTER HUNT,"the chanted while getting on.And off they went."On our way to the island,"Dipper announced."Did anyone bring sunscreen,"Soos asked."As soon as we get sunscreen,"Dipper replied turning the boat around.
On the way,the twins laughing and chanting."Now just to be sure,"Dipper started,handing everyone a bag,"Now,say that Bigfoot showed up.Soos,pretend to be Bigfoot."With that,Soos was fake growling and pretending to be Bigfoot."Oh,look,Bigfoot,"Dipper said in a mocking voice",Uh oh,no camera,oh there's one.Oh no,broken lens.See what I'm doing,"Dipper asked finishing up.Everyone agreed."That's why I brought twenty one disposable cameras.Two on my ankle,three in my vest,three for each of you,three extras in this bag,and one under my hat,"Dipper said lifting up his hat."Good thinking," Steven exclaimed giving Dipper a thumbs up."that's cool dude,"Soos said,pointing a camera at himself.The flash from the camera startled him and he threw it back.Steven raced over and caught the camera out of mid air."Nice catch,Stev…,"Before he could finish that sentence,he heard a crunch.Steven opened his hand to find bits and pieces of the camera he caught."Whoops," Steven said rubbing the back of his head.Then he looked over at Dipper.His mouth was opened wide."Did you just …,"Dipper started pointing at Steven."The plastic must be cheap,"Steven said nervously."Okay,that's alright,cause we still have twenty cameras.""Ah,"Mabel screamed,"A bird,"she said throwing a camera."Nineteen cameras.Just don't throw anymore cameras.""Wait,throw the cameras,"Soos question."No,"Dipper quickly yelled out."Sorry dude, I already threw two,"Soos explains."Seventeen cameras.We have seventeen,"Dipper was interrupted with a crunch when he hit the cooler,"Sixteen cameras.""So what's the plan," Mabel asked holding her bag of cameras over the boat's rails,"throw the cameras or not.""NO,"Dipper shouted.
While Dipper was steering,Mabel and Steven were taking about stuff and goofing around."Hey,"Dipper shouted out at them,"You guys are supposed to be the lookouts."We are,"Mabel protest."Look out," Steven announced."Exactly,"Mabel agreed.Then everyone heard a crash.At this,Steven raced in and tucked the twins under his arms.
"We're here," Mabel cheered."Uh,Steven,you can let go now,"Dipper told Steven.Steven,now realizing this,let's go of the 12 year olds.Once freed,Mabel ran to the rails shouting,"LAND HO!""Thanks for stating the obvious,"Dipper said sarcastically.
