It all started with plans to visit Jaden and his friends, seeing how they were doing ever since their graduation from Duel Academy. According to Yubel, everyone was doing fine, but they wanted to go and make sure that there weren't any life threatening situations going on. The Mane 6 were ready to head to out to the Duel Monsters Dimension, as Pinkie Pie called it. They had gotten their decks together, finished all necessary work for the day, and were ready to leave.
"Okay guys. We should check carefully to make sure we have everything we need before we head back to see Jaden and the others," Twilight interrupted everyone's conversations with each other. "We have our decks and Duel Disks, right?"
"Yeah we have them, Twilight. I don't know why you have to ask. We've had them ready to go ever since Nightshroud invaded Duel Academy," Rainbow Dash said, annoyed with Twilight's OCD involving being ready.
"Yeah, Twilight. I understand your concerns, sugarcube, but I? Don't think it's all that necessary. We're just going to be in and out fairly quickly. It's unlikely there will be any additional threats to worry about," Applejack tried to calm down Twilight.
"I agree with Applejack, darling. We've been ready to go back for a month now. I just hope everyone has been wearing the outfits I made for them," Rarity said.
"Yeah. We can have a really fun party with them too. I can't wait!" Pinkie Pie was excited to return to see everyone again.
"Yeah. I hope Pharaoh is doing fine. It's been a while since we've seen him," Fluttershy timidly added on.
"Well, I guess we're ready to go. Spike, the Dimensional Scissors, please," Twilight ordered her number one assistant.
"Right here, Twilight. Hope you all have a great time with Jaden and the others," Spike wished the others luck.
"Thanks. We'll try," Twilight responded as she used the scissors to open a portal. "See you in a little bit, Spike." However, right before the group could walk through the portal, it was surrounded by a dark outline. Following this, the Mane 6 were sucked into the portal before they could escape. Spike saw all of this and was shocked and scared to see his friends go. He quickly wrote a letter to Celestia and Luna, hoping that they could be of help.
Suddenly, Rainbow Dash found herself in a city surrounded by buildings that looked destroyed or at least damaged. Everything looked poor in quality from the buildings to the ground. Eventually, she found herself underground, with the sky visible through the cracks up above. After some time, she found herself near a room where three males were standing around a computer screen.
"So, what are you guys watching?" Rainbow Dash asked the trio.
At this, the trio panicked, not expecting this random visitor to show up at their hideaway.
"Nothing!" a man with brown hair and somewhat bulky tried to deny.
"What are you doing here? Don't you know that this is our space? Are you here to steal it from us?" A man wearing a bandanna questioned.
"Um, no. I was just wandering around and wanted to know where I was," Rainbow Dash responded.
"Well, you see-," the bulky man started.
"You know exactly where we are! We are in the underground part of Satellite!" The bandanna-wearing man responded.
"Um, what is Satellite?" Rainbow Dash asked.
At this, the entire group was floored. They did not expect to hear someone not know where they were while in Satellite.
"Satellite is a place where those rejected by Neo Domino City stay. Whether they be crooks or innocent faces, it doesn't matter. If you're in Satellite, you're a nobody," The man with braided hair explained.
"Well, that doesn't sound fair! How do we get out of here?!" Rainbow Dash demanded.
"I'm sorry, but there isn't a way out. Well, there is one, but it is fairly tricky," the bulky man explained. "In fact, we were going to see something involving someone who did make it out."
"Can I see?" Rainbow Dash asked them.
"As long as you don't steal or hurt us you can stay and watch, but it isn't likely to be a happy story to tell you," the bandanna-wearing man warned.
"Try me," Rainbow Dash pried.
"It's time for today's greatest Turbo Duel! He's coming! Everybody listen! King of Duel Runners Jack Atlas!" The announcer MC introduced the reigning champion of Neo Domino City. Jack proceeded to race out into the arena on his Duel Runner, a white motorcycle-like vehicle made for the express purpose of Turbo Dueling. He got onto the main track and zoomed out on it.
"Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm the king!" Jack Atlas called out to the adoring crowd.
Meanwhile, there was another man on a Duel Runner underground, testing to see how fast he could get his Duel Runner to go.
"It's the 143rd Duel King Competition. Will the challenger Hunter Pace be able to beat the undefeated ultimate deck?" the MC announced to everyone watching. "How will the king face the enemy's challenge? Watch the battle of destiny! The time has come to place a spell on the field! The challenger is next to the king. Set on the field spell Speed World!"
At this, both duelist's Duel Runners were set to duel in Speed World with the press of a button. "Duel mode on. Autopilot standby." Following this, the world around everyone turned purple.
"The field is now under the control of Speed World! Now spells other than Speed Spells cannot be activated!" The MC explained to newcomers to the world of dueling. "Speed spells are the most unique feature of Turbo Duels. They are spells that can only be activated when Speed World covers the field. The activation requirements are different than normal spells. They are determined by the number of speed counters. In other words, the duelist's speed itself becomes spells! The starter signal has appeared, and it's showing red. Now! Turbo Duel acceleration! The challenger goes first."
"Here I go!" Hunter Pace yelled as he drew his first card.
The man that was testing how fast he could get his Duel Runner to go was still driving.
"So wait? This Jack Atlas stole your friend's Stardust Dragon card and Duel Runner and took off for Neo Domino City when he did?" The trio nodded their heads in agreement. "That jerk! I cannot believe he could do such a thing! Also, when was there a second Stardust Dragon?"
"A second Stardust Dragon? There has only been one that we know of," The bandanna-wearing man answered.
Rainbow was about to respond only for the broadcast to interrupt her.
"The challenger Hunter Pace is assaulting the king with a clever trap!" The MC announced as Hunter Pace had his ace monster Skull Flame on his field. "However, the king isn't backing down! What's this?" The MC said as a bright light surrounded Jack Atlas.
"I'll show you my great power!" Jack said as Jack's ace monster, Red Dragon Archfiend was summoned to Jack's field.
"It's appeared! The king's main monster Red Dragon Archfiend!"
After seeing this, Rainbow Dash was in shock. She didn't expect for there to be a second Stardust Dragon, but she didn't expect for him to also own her dragon card, Red Dragon Archfiend. "H-he's u-using my card," Rainbow Dash whispered.
"Um, run that by me again?" The man with braided hair asked.
"He's using my card! I can prove it too!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she got out her Red Dragon Archfiend, much to the shock of the group.
"This is my thanks for giving me a fun time," Jack taunted. "I'll give you the honor of falling prey to our fangs. Take this! Scorching Crimson Hellflare!"
Meanwhile, right as Hunter Pace was to take the attack and lose, the mysterious man's Duel Runner also shut down, the Runner obviously being incomplete. The man took off his helmet and looked up at the sky.
Back at the arena, Hunter Pace had gotten off of his Duel Runner in anger.
"The king has successfully protected his throne again!" The MC announced as cheerleaders cheered on Jack. "A new page has been added to his undefeated legend! Jack! Jack! Jack!"
"There's only one king and it's me!" Jack boasted as he held up a finger in the air.
The mysterious man rolled his red Duel Runner back to his friend's hideout, which turned out to be the same hideout where Rainbow had ended up.
"In the beginning, it appeared as if you were troubled by the challenger's trap. However, you were actually thinking two or three moves ahead," The MC said as he questioned the dueling king.
Suddenly, Jack grabbed the microphone from the MC and said, "If the king used his full strength from the beginning, it would have been over in an instant. The king's duel must be entertaining!" The crowd cheered at this, though the one at the underground was less pleased, with Rainbow Dash trembling in fury at what she had learned about Jack.
The mysterious man tried to turn on the engine, only for it to fail. "Hey, Yusei." the bandanna-wearing man said as he turned off the computer.
"Sorry. We couldn't help but be interested in Jack. And the TV only works in here,," the bulky man apologized. "By the way, we found ourselves a new friend while you were out. She apparently goes by the name Rainbow Dash."
"Jack was amazing. He's even stronger than before," The man with braided hair responded as Yusei was running some tests on his Duel Runner.
Eventually, Yusei finally responded. "Nice to meet you Rainbow Dash. As for Jack's opponent, he was weak wasn't he?"
"Yeah, he was completely played by Jack," The man wearing a bandanna said.
"Yeah, he duels like a champion all right. And trust me, I really hate to say that," Rainbow Dash butted in.
"He's bored," Yusei simply answered as he continued work on his Duel Runner.
"What's the status of the Duel Runner?" the hefty man asked.
"Be quiet! Can't you tell by looking?" The bandanna-wearing man shut up his friend.
"That's right… How is Jack's former Duel Runner doing?" the hefty man wondered.
The bandanna-wearing man suddenly forced the hefty man's head down as he said, "Can't you sense the mood?"
"But everyone is mad at Jack! Yusei should have been king at that stadium!" the hefty man argued. "But that punk Jack stole the Duel Runner that Yusei built"
"Yeah! Jack doesn't deserve to be on his throne! Man, if I were over there I'd make Jack pay for what he did!" Rainbow Dash cried out.
Suddenly, a boy with red hair and a dress-like outfit ran into the underground hideout. "Hey, Yusei!" The boy called out, getting Yusei's attention.
"Hi Rally," the bulky man said hello to the young boy.
"Great. Everyone's here. Wait, who are you?" Rally questioned Rainbow Dash.
"I'm Rainbow Dash. Let's just say I agree with you all that Jack deserves to be put in his place," Rainbow Dash introduced herself.
"Okay. Well, back to business. Yusei!" Rally ran over to Yusei.
"Wait. Why are you in such a hurry?" the man with braided hair questioned.
Rally got out a chip and asked, "Can you use this for your Duel Runner?"
"What is it?"
"The man wearing a bandanna noticed the chip and grabbed Rally's hand that held the chip. "Hey. This is brand new! Where did you get it?"
Rally broke free from the hold and held the chip close to himself. "You have it all wrong. I found it among the junk."
Everyone looked at each other at Rally's claim, not sure whether or not to believe him.
"You weren't stealing again were you?" the bandanna wearing man asked.
"If that's stolen, then all of us might get arrested," the hefty man warned.
"We don't want to wear this mark," the man with braided hair said, pointing to a yellow mark on Rally's cheek.
"Speaking of which, what is the deal with that mark anyway?" Rainbow asked.
"When someone commits a crime like stealing and the get caught, the perpetrator gets a mark tattooed onto their face," the bulky man answered.
"Stop," Yusei called for the others to stop drilling into Rally. He then held out his hand for the chip, which Rally handed over to him. "I'll use it."
As Yusei walked back to his Duel Runner in order to replace the chip, the bandanna wearing man asked him. "Are you sure about that Yusei?"
Rally, meanwhile, who was excited, said, "It'll definitely run faster!"
"Yusei, I know how you feel, but forget about Jack," the man with braided hair tried to reason with Yusei.
"Yusei is going to settle things with Jack!" Rally countered.
"But in order to do that, he'll have to face many dangers. Is it worth it?"
"But Jack stole Yusei's main monster!"
"Yeah! I'm with Rally. Jack stole from Yusei so he should try and get back at him!" Rainbow agreed with Rally.
"Yusei, are you seriously going to leave here?" the braided hair man asked.
"I'm not leaving. I'm just going," Yusei responded as he was working on a computer screen.
"Don't do it. That place isn't for us," the bandanna wearing man warned. "From the beginning, Jack was different than us."
Before the conversation could continue, the computer beeped, the chip being added on completed. Yusei turned on the engine to test it and it went on stronger than before.
"So? It's totally better, right?" Rally asked Yusei. Yusei nodded his head in agreement. "Go for a ride! It's really fast!" Rally held out Yusei's helmet for him.
Suddenly, a light shined from the crack above them. "What is that?" The bulky man was confused.
"It's Security!" the braided hair man responded, realizing they were all in trouble.
"Wait, what is Security?" Rainbow Dash was curious and confused.
"Security is the law in Satellite and Neo Domino City. They are a bad bunch to get on the bad side of," Yusei explained.
"Identification number AWX 86007, Rally Dawson! You're under suspicion for robbery. Surrender immediately! Come out! As long as you have a marker, you cannot escape!" the Security member in the helicopter yelled out.
"You…," the man in a bandanna muttered in anger as he raised his fist toward Rally.
Rally moved the helmet to defend himself. "Sorry! I took it from the factory. Because I wanted Yusei to beat Jack!"
"That's no excuse!" the bandanna-wearing man countered.
However, before he could do something, Yusei stopped him. "That's enough."
"That's you being you," the bandanna wearing man responded.
"As long as you have a marker, you can't escape. It sends a signal to Security." the hefty man reminded them.
Yusei was quick to create a solution, hacking into the marker signal on his computer.
"What? The signal's been severed!" The Security member in the helicopter was shocked.
"I've severed the marker signal," Yusei said as he got onto the Duel Runner.
"You jammed it?" the bandanna-wearing man asked.
"Everyone, go over there," Yusei ordered for his friends to hide as he put on his helmet. "I'll draw away Security."
Before he could leave and the others hid, Rainbow was quick to counter. "Hold on! I'm going with you. You may need help to deal with Security." She quickly got behind Yusei on his Duel Runner. "Any objections?"
Yusei was quick to question Rainbow Dash. "Hold on. You could get hurt."
"I can manage myself, thank you. Besides, it's not like I'll weigh you down that much," Rainbow Dash was getting annoyed.
Yusei stopped himself for a moment before he decided, "Fine. Just be careful."
"Thanks," Rainbow Dash responded before they zoomed off on the Duel Runner, zooming out of the underground and past the Security members outside.
"What? A Duel Runner? The suspect is fleeing! After him!" A man named Trudge ordered as he and the rest of the Security members present followed Yusei and Rainbow.
"It's fast. The front and rear wheel outputs, the balance control of the rotations… It's perfect," Yusei thought to himself about the Duel Runner's performance.
"Duel Runner, it's no use trying to escape! Stop!" Trudge yelled as he and Security proceeded to follow them. Eventually, the chase brought the pair into an old factory that looked like it hadn't been used in some time. Upon getting inside, Yusei finally stopped his Runner and Trudge proceeded to stop and get off of his Runner and approached the duo. "Where did you steal that Duel Runner from?"
"We didn't steal it! It was built!" Rainbow Dash countered.
"Hey! Don't fight back or things will be much worse for you two," another member of Security said as he also got out of the police car.
Trudge proceeded to laugh upon noticing something about the pair. "You guys don't have markers. So you're a decoy. I guess garbage helps other garbage."
At this, Yusei said nothing. Rainbow meanwhile wanted to say something to Security, but realizing that she couldn't reason with them, decided to stay quiet.
"You will be arrested for aiding in the escape," Trudge told the duo. "I also want to know where you got that Duel Runner from. Tell me"
Finally, Yusei said something, "Let's duel."
Trudge laughed at this proposal, "A piece of garbage from satellite wants to duel me? You don't even have cards. Stop making me laugh."
Yusei proceeded to lift up his own dueling deck, saying, "I found cards." Yusei proceeded to place his deck in the deck slot on his wrist. "If I win, you forget about everything that happened today."
"There's no way we can do that!" The other Security officer yelled. All of a sudden, Trudge held out his arm in front of the other Security member.
"You talk big. I accept," Trudge pridefully accepted the duel.
"Trudge, you can't do this," the Security officer countered.
"I'll take the responsibility. You guys go home."
"Trudge…"
"Go. Or do you think I'm going to lose?"
At this, the Security member returned to the car and drove away, with the helicopter following right after. "You are an interesting man," Yusei said.
"What do you mean?" Trudge asked.
"I don't trust Security. But a duelist… that's a different story. You accepted this duel, so I'll trust you."
"You're so annoying," Trudge said as he returned to his Duel Runner. Both duelists moved their Duel Runners so that they could drive into and throughout the factory. "I set the field spell Speed World."
"Duel mode on. Autopilot standby," The computers on the Duel Runners chirped out.
"Duel!" Both duelists yelled as the area around them turned purple and the Duel Runners zoomed off.
"I'll go first. And I summon Assault Dog in attack mode!" Trudge said as he summoned out a brown and black dog with guns on his back (1200 Attack). "Then I set a card facedown and end my turn."
"My turn," Yusei announced as both duelist's speed counters went up to one. "I summon Speed Warrior (900 Attack)."
"In attack position. However, it has nowhere near the attack points of my Assault Dog!" Trudge countered. Suddenly, the attack points of Speed Warrior went up (1800 Attack). "The attack points doubled?"
"Speed Warrior's attack points are doubled only during the battle phase of the turn in which it was summoned," Yusei revealed.
"That sounds like a great effect to have!" Rainbow Dash was amazed.
"How annoying when all you are is garbage!" Trudge was annoyed with Yusei.
"Speed Warrior! Sonic Edge!" Yusei called out as Speed Warrior dodged Assault Dog's blasts and destroyed him with a spinning kick.

"Not bad. But I have a monster effect also. Assault Dog, go!" Suddenly, another Assault Dog was summoned onto Trudge's field. "When Assault Dog is sent to the graveyard due to battle, I can special summon another Assault Dog from my deck!"
"I set one card facedown and end my turn," Yusei said as Speed Warrior's attack points returned to 900.
"My turn! I release Assault Dog! I advance summon my level 5 monster Handcuffs Dragon
(1800 Attack)! Handcuffs Dragon! Handcuff Shoot!" Trudge yelled out.
"I activate my trap Scrap Iron Scarecrow! This negates your monster's attack," Yusei explained.
"That's not a bad move. However...The trap card Wiretap!" Trudge played as he skidded in front of Yusei. "This card negates the activation of your trap card and returns it to your deck. Do it, Handcuffs Dragon!" Handcuffs Dragon crushed Speed Warrior in its grip.
"Hey! That cannot be fair!" Rainbow complained at this move.

Both duelists speeded past each other on their Duel Runners. "If it's a deck you made from cards that you found, then no matter how you built it, it's still garbage!" Trudge insulted.
Yusei turned back around and he and Rainbow followed after Trudge. "My turn! I summon Sonic Chick in defense mode!" A pink chick was summoned onto Yusei's field (300 Defense). "I then place two cards facedown and end my turn."
Trudge proceeded to laugh as he said, "Your entire battle strategy is just to defend. You're just all talk! My turn!" He drew a card and then sent three monsters from his hand to the graveyard. "Here I go! Level 4, Level 3, and Level 3. By sending these three cards in my hand to the graveyard, I special summon Montage Dragon!" A three headed dragon wearing masks was summoned to Trudge's field (3000 Attack). "Due to this card's monster effect, its attack points are equal to the sum of the levels of the monsters I sent to the graveyard multiplied by 300!"
Both Rainbow Dash and Yusei were shocked to see a monster be summoned that had 3000 attack points "3000…" Yusei muttered in concern and awe.
"Handcuffs Dragon attacks Sonic Chick!" Handcuffs Dragon proceeded to squeeze Sonic Chick until she was destroyed. "Now for the main event! Montage Dragon, attack the player directly!" Montage Dragon sent out an array of beam blasts that reduced Yusei's Life Points significantly.

As a result of the attack, Yusei's speed counters went down from four to one. Much to Rainbow's shock, their speed decreased with the loss in speed counters. "Hey, why are we slowing down?!" Rainbow Dash was confused.
"My speed...It's due to the effect of the direct attack," Yusei explained.
"You only have 100 Life Points remaining, you garbage!" Trudge mocked.
"My cards… I believe in you. I draw!" Yusei said. Upon seeing his card, he smiled. "T arrived. I summon the tuner monster Junk Synchron (1300 Attack).
"A tuner monster? It can't be!" Trudge was in shock.
"It is. I activate the trap card Graceful Revival! With this card, I can special summon one level 2-or-below monster in my graveyard. Come, Speed Warrior!" Yusei summoned the warrior monster from his graveyard.
"What?"
Junk Synchron pulled a chord on his body to rev up his engine. "Junk Synchron tunes Speed Warrior! The stars come together to call forth a new power! Become the path that lights the way! Synchro Summon! Come, Junk Warrior (2300 Attack)!" Yusei cried out as a purple and white warrior was summoned to Yusei's field.
"No way! This Satellite garbage was able to Synchro Summon? Still, it can't stand up to Montage Dragon's attack points!" Trudge was shocked at what Yusei had done.
"I activate the Speed Spell Vision Wind!" Yusei played.
"Speed Spell? I diminished that punk's speed by attacking him directly. How dare he do that!"
"With this card, I can special summon one level 2-or-below monster in my graveyard. I special summon level 2 Speed Warrior!" Yusei called out. "Then, my Junk Warrior's ability activates. The attack points of a level 2-or-below monster on my field are added to Junk Warrior (3200 Attack).
"With a speed spell combo, you instantly increased your attack points! How annoying."
"Go, Junk Warrior. Attack Handcuffs Dragon! Scrap Fist." Junk Warrior proceeded to punch Handcuffs Dragon.

"You chose to attack Handcuffs Dragon because you preferred to damage me, but now you've lost the battle!" Handcuffs Dragon returned to the field and latched onto Junk Warrior, lowering its attack points to 1400. "See that? When Handcuffs Dragon is destroyed in battle, it becomes an equip card that is equipped to your monster, and your monster loses attack points equal to its attack points. Now it's over. From the beginning, you aren't able to disobey authority!"
"This is bad! Maybe you should have attacked Montage Dragon after all," Rainbow panicked.
"Actually, I'll be using that effect to help myself," Yusei answered.
"What?" Trudge was confused.
"I activate the trap card Equip Shot," Yusei played, with Junk Warrior's attack points returning to 3200 as Montage Dragon being equipped with Handcuffs Dragon instead, lowering his attack points to 1200. "Equip Shot is a card that re-equips an equip card on to the opponent's monster. The monsters targeted by this effect now battle. Junk Warrior! Scrap Fist!" Junk Warrior punched through Montage Dragon, destroying the monster and lowering Trudge's Life Points to 0. After this, Trudge's Runner stopped, with a message saying "Defeat" present on the screen.
"I can't believe it. I lost to this garbage…" Trudge seethed.
Yusei stopped his Duel Runner where Trudge was, saying, "No matter what the card is, as long as it exists, it has the power to be useful. You don't have the right to call yourself a duelist when you dismiss cards by calling them garbage."
After this, Yusei and Rainbow Dash left, with the girl sticking her tongue out as they left. Trudge then seethed, "I will crush you!"
Yusei eventually stopped his Duel Runner after leaving the factory. He got off his Runner and looked over at Neo Domino City across the ocean. "Just wait, Jack," Yusei said, as Rainbow was thinking not only about her new friends and Yusei's vendetta, but also about her friends and if they were alright or not.
