Hello my lovely readers.

So it has been since May 2015 for me to update this story. I have been busy with other stories and just life to be quite honest. I did reread my story while writing this new part in our story. I have noticed soms mistakes in the story that can be blamed on the lack of deeper knowledge of the Original family at that moment in time.

I have decided to leave these mistakes and make sure the rest of the story will be correct in every possible aspect.

To all new reader, I bid you a fond welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Now let's get on with our story.

Time jump, to the undaggering of the entire family

POV Sam

A warmth is spreading through my veins, like a fire searching his way to oxygen. I gasp as I open my eyes. Rebekah looking down on me.

"Sister…" I breath as I sit up.

"Glad you could join the party." She says as she helps me out of the coffin.

"If this is a party, there better be something strong to drink."

I turn around and see Kol climbing out of his coffin, rubbing his chest where the dagger has been. Behind him Finn is sitting up rather dazed by it all.

"a century in a box and your first thought is alcohol? Glad to know some things never change, brother dear." I scoff.

I walk over to Finn. He never really liked me or any other of his siblings for that matter. Freya must have been perfect in every way to make him hate us so much.

"Need a hand?" I ask, uncertain to how he would respond.

Without giving it a thought, he takes my extended hand to help him up.

"How long?" he implores.

"9 centuries, give or take…" Elijah answers from behind him.

We all turn to watch our brother standing in the doorway.

"You must all wonder why I woke you all up. The answer to that is quite easy… Niklaus."

A growl resonates through the room. All want our own kind of revenge on our beloved brother. Some more then others. Kol is practically bouncing of the walls to get his hands on him. Finn is still rather unstable on his feet.

"He is using you lot as bargaining chips to make me do his bidding. I think it's time for us all to make our own decisions, free from being Niklaus' puppets. Always and Forever, can only ask for so many sacrifices."

Behind him Damon lingers. He's looking at me but hiding all emotions.

"Let's give our brother a piece of our mind. Mind if I hold onto this for a moment longer?" Bekah asks, twirling the dagger between her fingers.

I just observe the conversations, trying my hardest to ignore Damon. This is family business and he is not my family anymore.

"What's your plan?" I demand as I lean against my coffin. The thought alone sends shivers down my spine.

"We leave him, once and for all…" says Elijah solemnly.

"Like he won't find us like always and put us away in these horrible boxes like we're toys…" I grumble as I toss mine from the stretcher.

How could I have been so foolish to let myself be caught by hem. For years only Elijah and I were the ones Nik trusted the most. We were allowed to live as we wished as long as we didn't get in his way. Kol and Rebekah weren't so easily pleased with those terms. Kol too much of a firecracker, killing villages like he was swatting flies. Rebekah being ruled by her heart instead of her head. I made it my lesson to not be controlled by emotions. Finn never wanted to be what we had become. He was locked in a box for safety measures.

"We have the last coffin, the weapon he fears most…" Damon speaks up while walking to stand next to Elijah.

"I think we can handle this situation without your input now mister Salvatore." I reply coldly.

Elijah and Damon leave the room and go back to Niklaus and Stefan.

"So cold little sister. You would almost think you are related to Nik…" Kol smirks.

We walk together to the dining room where Niklaus is making threats per usual. Elijah reveals three daggers as "dessert". My family has a flair for the dramatic. Kol walks in first, enjoying the fear blooming in Nik his eyes. Finn is more a hands on kind of man and stabs Nik in the hand with one of the daggers. Nik tries to leave but I walk in front of him. He stops dead in his tracks as I shift my head to the side.

"Where are you going big brother?" I ask flatly.

He makes a U turn to run straight into Rebekah with a dagger. He has nowhere to run.

"You're free to go. This is family business." Elijah says with a wicked smile.

Damon grabs Stefan. They walk out of the room but not before Damon tries to watch me in the eye. I ignore all attempt and walk closer to my siblings. As they leave, the emotions are starting to fill the room. Rebekah starts throwing a vase into painting while Niklaus is trying to show regret. How he was building a home for as all, where no one should ever be alone again.

Kol and Finn seem to be enjoying his pain. I'm just sitting in one of the chairs. The only thing interesting me from this entire evening is what Damon said.

"Who is in the other coffin Nik?"

They all turn to me, as if forgotten I was still there. Niklaus his eyes fill with guilt.

"Who has gotten you so scared that they can be used as a weapon against you?"

I push myself up as I walk towards him.

"Do enlighten us all."

Behind us a door opens. We all turn to see whoever would be so bold to interrupt six original vampires. We are all struck with utter silence when our mother walks in. After a millennium without her guidance, her presence, thinking for so long she was killed by Niklaus, she stands as an embodiment of strength. Her eyes burning with emotions.

"Mother?" Rebekah gasps.

Niklaus starts to cry out of fear for her judgment.

"Look at me! Do you know why I am here?" her voice still makes goosebumps spread over my arms.

Somehow she is convinced we could be a family again. After everything we've done to each other. After all the lies and daggers in our hearts, she expects us to just get along like once so long ago.

Rebekah is happy to have our mother again. Finn is once again at her beck and call. Kol is just happy to be out of his prison and to do as he pleases. Elijah seems rather suspicious about her real intentions, I can't help but join that train of thoughts.

Elijah is in the drawing room while the others are getting their clothes fitted or as for Rebekah, get their nails done.

"You don't trust her." I say as I sit down on the armrest of his chair.

He doesn't look up from his book.

"Neither do you or we wouldn't be having this conversation." He whispers between his fingers.

"It's just too good to be true. A millennium to watch us from the other side and her only conclusion is how she wants us to be a family again? This isn't a Disney movie… She's up to something, I'm sure of it."

He closes his book and looks outside.

"I guess we'll have to wait and see, little sister. Until then, make sure to not draw too much attention to yourself. Have you picked out a dress for tonight and a fine gentleman to accompany you."

I sigh as I get up and walk to the window.

"I hate this kind of shin dings. To answer you other question, I'm perfectly capable to attend them by myself. I don't need a man to make me feel strong."

He nods agreeing with me. Let's get tonight over with.

I hope you enjoyed our new piece.
