"Our surveillance targets are currently moving towards the Daimon Area," One man in a suit said to another agent who was in a car through a phone.

"Confirmed," The agent in the car said as Yusei and Rainbow Dash walked by.

"Also confirmed," A man around a corner said. "I will continue to tail them."

As Yusei was walking down the street, he was remembering what Armstrong said about his Duel Runner and Deck.

"Had enough already? A citizen of Satellite isn't worthy of a Duel Runner or a deck. Your Duel Runner and deck are both property of the Public Maintenance Department. It seems the Director has an interest in your belongings. They're being thoroughly inspected in the security vault. "

As Yusei and Rainbow walked down the alleyways in the early night, they eventually found Bootleg. Remembering what Tanner had said about getting help, they walked inside. Upon entering, they both sat down at the bar.

The bartender turned around and addressed the duo. "What is it, kids? Got separated from your mom? This isn't the lost children center. Hurry up and go home."

"I'd like some milk," Yusei said.

"Make that two," Rainbow added.

"Are you making fun of me, kids?" The bartender yelled in anger as he grabbed Yusei and Rainbow by the collars of their shirts. He soon let go and Yusei placed the Giant Ushi Oni card onto the counter, much to the bartender's shock.

"He told me about this place," Yusei responded. Meanwhile, two agents sat down to listen in on the duo.

The bartender poured two glasses of milk for Yusei and Rainbow. "It's on the house."

Yusei and Rainbow looked around at the people in the bar. "Blister is one of these people?" Yusei asked.

"Who do you think it is?" Rainbow Dash asked as well.

"Kid. After you finish drinking, go home quietly," The bartender responded to the questions.

"Both Yusei and Rainbow downed their milk, grabbed the Giant Ushi Oni card, and then left, with the two agents following after them.

After entering back into the main streets, the two stopped upon hearing a Duel Runner. The Runner jumped down from the rooftop onto the street next to them. As the two agents approached, the man on the Runner grabbed Yusei and drove off. Rainbow proceeded to grab her Red Dragon Archfiend and summoned it in real life, using the dragon to chase after Yusei and the man, much to the shock of the agents, Yusei, and the man.

"Oh no! Use the marker to track them!" One agent yelled after he regained his bearings, as he looked on the tracker. The mark was tracked for a few moments before the signal disappeared.

"No way!" the other agent yelled.

"What's going on?"

"For now, inform the director!" The agent proceeded to call Director Goodwin.

As Yusei and the strange man were driving off, The man used a strange scanning device to block Yusei and Rainbow's marks. "This is enough to block the marker's signal."

"Wait, so are you…?" Rainbow started to ask.

"I'm Blister," the man answered.

Helicopters were flying around the city, looking for Yusei and Rainbow as best as they could. Meanwhile, the duo and Blister were inside of an apartment building.

"Who are you?" Yusei asked.

"Yeah. Tanner said you could help us. Is that true?" Rainbow asked.

"I don't know who I am either, but I can help you. I can acquire almost anything," Blister answered. "I guess you can say that I'm a Jack-of-all-trades. You don't have to worry about my fee. Before Tanner went into the detention center, he had me hold on to his money. So what can I do for the both of you?"

"We're going to sneak into the security vault building," Yusei answered.

"What?" Blister turned toward the duo in shock.

"Yeah. we're looking for our decks and Yusei's Duel Runner," Rainbow explained.

"I want you to help me," Yusei explained.

"Yeah…" Blister answered.

As Blister worked on preparing the two to enter the security vault building, the pair decided to talk.

"So, what was with summoning Red Dragon Archfiend in real life like that, anyway?" Yusei asked out of curiosity.

"You see, I am actually one of two people that reincarnated from someone called the Supreme King. Someone called Yubel loved this King to the point that they eventually snapped due to the Light of Destruction. Me and my friend Jaden agreed to fuse with them, allowing for everything that they had done before to be fixed. As a result, I gained the power to summon Duel Monster cards in real life. Please don't talk to me about it. I don't feel comfortable talking about my time before fusing with Yubel. Aw, who am I kidding? You likely don't even believe me," Rainbow Dash explained.

"Actually, I do. But don't worry. I won't pry if you don't want to talk," Yusei reassured.

"Thanks," Rainbow said.

With the conversation over, Yusei looked around the apartment, finding a framed photo of Blister and another man holding a trophy and looking happy. In addition, they also seemed to be holding a card. "Machina Sniper…" Yusei found a card right on the counter, under where the photo was. It was Machina Sniper, except the card looked burnt and torn.

Blister was working on his computer, having succeeded in his work. "That was easy. I found it. It seems your precious Duel Runner is on the top floor of the vault. I'll search for the password for the lock on the door. I should be able to do it."

"You… You used to be a duelist?" Yusei asked as he held the photo.

"Hey! Stop touching other people's stuff!" Blister yelled, unhappy with Yusei prying.

"A Duel Runner specializing in tag duels," Yusei pointed out.

"I wasn't officially a pro," Blister explained. "I was a broken duelist in an exhibition league. That's all I was. Stop messing with that and come over here!"

Yusei put down the photo and turned toward Blister. "How's it going?"

"I acquired the password."

"Impressive."

"I know! You really can do almost anything," Rainbow was in awe.

"I'm willing to bet that the both of you are going to end up back at the detention center," Blister warned.

"I have something I need to do. That's all," Yusei explained.

Blister went back to his computer and continued typing. "That doesn't matter to me."

Meanwhile, outside, Trudge was spying on the trio. "You probably think that you and your girlfriend defeated me, but that's not going to happen, you garbage from Satellite."

Trudge then remembered a past conversation with the captain, "I will go after him! No matter what anyone says, I'll chase him out of Neo Domino City! Starting today, I'm working exclusively for the investigation department."

"Trudge!" The captain yelled.

"I received authorization! I'll chase you everywhere!"

Trudge proceeded to laugh to himself.

The next morning…

Yusei was resting on a chair when Blister placed a bag onto the table in front of him, gaining his attention.

"Here's everything you'll need. The rest depends on your luck," Blister said as Yusei reached to grab the bag. With Rainbow Dash getting up and walking towards Yusei. Blister suddenly snapped and demanded, "Answer me. Why are you going when you know that you'll end up being captured?"

Yusei simply answered, "Because the bond with my friends is there."

Rainbow added on, "Yeah! I can understand the bonds of friendship and how strong that can be. Does he need any more reason than that?"

Yusei nodded, "All I'm doing is going and getting it back."

"Friends?" Blister asked. "You're doing this for something that lame?"

"Hey! Friendship isn't lame! From where I'm from it's helped save the day multiple times!" Rainbow Dash explained, causing the two to look at her, confused.

"Yeah, I understand. I used to have a friend too," Blister said. "But the only thing he left behind was this emotionless reality of deep despair and living death. A bond with your friends? That's just an illusion. Before long, all you'll do is think of yourself, so you'll hurt and use others so that you can survive. Just like me. The lucky one survived. However, I never rode a Duel Runner again. It's the same as being dead. This card is the remnant of our bond. After the accident, he only sent me this card. He was insinuating that I had forsaken him. Risk your life for a friend? In the end, that's impossible to do! In that case, it's better not to make friends in the first place."

At this, Yusei and Rainbow took the bag and left the room, though Rainbow felt a lot sadder than when she had arrived the night before. "I can't believe that Blister's friendship fell apart like that. If only Twilight were here. Maybe she could convince him that friends are worthwhile. Me? I couldn't even remember to use my powers to save Yusei and me from the Facility!"

"How lame," Blister said as he looked over the card once again. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a Duel Runner's engine. Upon looking out the window, he saw that there was a Duel Runner wheel hiding behind the alleyway nearby Rainbow and Yusei. Out of the alley came Trudge, who was slowly following after the pair.

Later that evening…

The security building was closing up as two figures entered the building, staying there as the place was locked up tight from the outside world. After closing, the two figures, Rainbow and Yusei snuck through the building until they reached the door for the storage room. With a swipe of a forged I.D. and a password, the door was opened. The pair walked through the storage room until the PDA Yusei had showed that they were right next to the crate that housed Yusei's Duel Runner and their decks.

Suddenly, several spotlights turned on from up above. "I'm surprised. I knew you would try something, but garbage is garbage. I can't believe you tried to sneak into the security vault. So scary," Trudge mocked.

"This belongs to me and my friends," Yusei said.

"Yeah! Maybe you would understand if you had friends!" Rainbow yelled.

"I don't need friends. Also, you're wrong Yusei. Everything held here belongs to Neo Domino City. Let me also add that the lives of Satellite garbage belong to this city also! I'll send you back to the detention center again. After them!" Trudge yelled as the Security goons surrounded the duo. Both of them, however, climbed up the crate that housed Yusei's Duel Runner and hopped inside. "That's what I call a rat in a trap! Give up, you garbage!"

Suddenly, the Duel Runner inside the crate was turned on, with both Rainbow and Yusei on it, ready to ride. Yusei proceeded to drive through the crate and began to leave the security vault.

"Stop!" One guard yelled.

"After them!" Another guard yelled.

"You punks!" Trudge muttered as he picked himself up.

Yusei just barely managed to get out of the security vault. However, they didn't have much time to remain calm as Trudge rammed into the side of Yusei's Runner with his own Runner.

"You fool! Did you really think you could escape from me?" Trudge asked. "Hurry up and give up!" Yusei and Rainbow just sped up rather than speak to Trudge. "C'mon, you can at least participate in our conversation! If you can't, then why don't you talk to me with your cards, like a duelist?"

"What?" Yusei was confused.

"I forcibly activate a Field Spell! Set on Speed World!"

"Duel mode on. Autopilot standby." The Duel Runner's computer said on both Runners.

"The bond with my friends… I accept this duel," Yusei accepted the duel.

"Duel!" Both Duelists cried out.

"I go first. I draw! I summon Quillbolt Hedgehog in defense position (800 Defense)." Yusei showed the floor's schematics. "If I could just escape through that opening…"

"It's my turn. I draw! From my hand, I summon Search Striker in attack position (1600 Attack)! Search Striker! Crush that Satellite punk's lame monster! Cleaver Strike! I set one card and end my turn!" Trudge yelled out.

"It's my turn. From my hand, I summon the Tuner Monster Junk Synchron (1300 Attack). When Junk Synchron is successfully summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 2-or-below monster from my graveyard in defense position," Yusei said.

"What?" Trudge was shocked.

"Alright! That means a free Junk Warrior! You show him Yusei!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"Resurrect, Quillbolt Hedgehog (800 Defense). Level 3 Junk Synchron tunes Level 2 Quillbolt Hedgehog," Yusei played.

"You're Synchro Summoning right now? How arrogant of you when all you are is garbage," Trudge grumbled.

"The stars come together to call forth a new power! Become the path that lights the way! Synchro Summon! Come, Junk Warrior (2300 Attack)!" Yusei called out.

"I won't let you do that! I activate my trap Discord Counter! This card negates your Synchro Summon and returns the Synchro Material Monsters to the field in defense position! In other words, Junk Warrior separates into Quillbolt Hedgehog (800 Defense) and Junk Synchron (500 Defense)! Furthermore, due to the effect of Discord Counter, you are not allowed to summon a monster until the End Phase of your next turn!" Trudge explained.

Yusei looked at the schematics again. "My priority is to escape through that opening."

"I won't let you do that," Trudge responded. Suddenly, the door slid shut before Yusei could reach it, forcing him to turn right and look for another way out.

"Close A5 and A7 barrier walls! Next is the east sector!" A security guard said in the control room.

One by one, more of the doors started to close up before Yusei and Rainbow could get through.

"I know how garbage thinks," Trudge said before laughing as Yusei was shocked at all the doors closing. "Dance! Spin! Flee! I'll drive you deeper into a corner! I'll teach you that you're nothing but garbage, you two! It's my turn! I draw! From my hand, I summon Pursuit Chaser in attack position (1400 Attack). Then Search Striker and Pursuit Chaser attack your two Satellite scrap iron monsters! Fire! Due to Pursuit Chaser's monster effect, when it destroys a monster in defense position, you take 500 points of damage!"

"My turn. I set one card. I end my turn," Yusei simply said.

"Just like I thought. Due to my Discord Counter, you can't summon a monster this turn! All the roads have been blocked! You no longer have an escape route! The only thing ahead of you is a dead end! Give up! All you can do is surrender!"

"Keep going!" Blister said through Yusei's helmet.

"You're… Blister," Yusei realized.

"Just keep going forward!"

"But…"

"Go!"

Yusei responded by speeding up his Duel Runner.

"No way! What is that punk doing?" Trudge couldn't believe what he was seeing. Yusei was rushing toward an elevator door.
