"I see. That is another way to surrender," Trudge said in response to seeing Yusei driving towards the elevator door.

"Duck!" Blister yelled, which Yusei complied. Suddenly, the elevator door blew up, leading everyone to fall down the elevator shaft.

"Don't think this is enough to escape! I'll chase you to the depths of hell! I draw! Don't let your guard down! It's still the middle of a duel! From my hand, I activate the Speed Spell Rapid Shotwing! One of the monsters on my field gains 100 attack points this turn for every Speed Counter (2100 Attack)! The total combined attack points of my two monsters is 3500! That's enough to finish off your life! Search Striker attacks you directly! Cleaver Strike!" Trudge yelled.

Yusei struggled to hold on as he was blasted off his Duel Runner. Rainbow Dash, meanwhile, fell off, but used her Red Dragon Archfiend to fly down and tried to catch

"What? What are you trying to pull Satellite? You shouldn't be able to fly on your dragon! Regardless, it'll be all over right now! Pursuit Chaser attacks you again directly!" Trudge cried out.

Yusei struggled to press a button on his Duel Runner, but he succeeded and was able to get back onto his Runner. "I flip over my set card. Confusion Chaff."

Pursuit Chaser was blinded by a bunch of white papers. "What?" Trudge was confused.

"I can activate Confusion Chaff when you attack me directly for the second time. The attack is negated, and that monster battles against the monster that attacked me directly the first time," Yusei explained.

"What?" Trudge was shocked. Both monsters fought each other, but eventually Search Striker won.

"Damn! I set one card and end my turn," Trudge played, ending his turn, which caused Search Striker's attack points to return to normal.

"Lift up your Duel Runner!" Blister instructed Yusei. "Lift up, hurry!" Yusei complied, with Rainbow landing on the Runner before it crash through the elevator and went through the open door. Trudge followed through only to be met with the now closed elevator door. However, Trudge was able to smash his way through the door and started to follow Yusei again.

"I won't let you two get away!" Trudge yelled. As Yusei drove away, he was met with Trudge from one level up. He jumped down next to the pair and rammed his Duel Runner next to Yusei's. "You garbage! Did you really think you could escape?" Suddenly, Trudge was kicked by Blister, who was on his own Duel Runner, and Trudge was knocked back a fair distance.

"Blister!" Both Yusei and Rainbow were relieved.

"What are you doing here?" Yusei asked out of curiosity.

"I just wanted to see what would happen to the guy and girl who kept babbling on about the bonds of friendship," Blister answered. "I don't have those sentimental feelings about friendship. Since I did you this favor, you'll have to repay me in cash."

"What happened?" Yusei asked Blister.

"Yeah. What happened between you and your friend that makes you so against friendship?" Rainbow was also curious.

"Our turn! We draw! We summon Machina Sniper! It attacks you directly!" Blister yelled out as he defeated their opponent.

The duo of Blister and Yuji both held up their trophy in victory, "He's my best friend! I actually believed that back then. No, that's what I presumed. But at the same time, I was about to sever my ties with Yuji, even though I called him my friend. I was going to become single so that I could head to the big leagues."

"Here we go! We summon Machina Sniper!" Yuji played.

"Yuji, what are you doing? That's the wrong monster!" Blister complained.

"But this is our favorite monster. We always use it for the final attack," Yuji was confused.

"Think harder! Do you think that strategy is going to work forever? We end our turn!" Blister yelled.

"Blister…" Yuji was hurt. Suddenly, Machina Sniper was hit by an attack.

"I told you so! This happened because you selfishly summoned it!" Blister yelled.

"No, due to the effect from the graveyard, it will-," Yuji tried to counter.

"Stop messing around! Stop holding me back!" Blister cried out. Suddenly, the Duel Runner in front of them spun out and the pair's Duel Runner was hit and broken in two by the Duel Runner ahead of them and knocked off track. They were heading right for a power plant building.

"Blister!" Yuji called out for his friend to help.

"Yuji!" Blister reached for Yuji's hand. However, in fear of getting hurt, Blister rushed off and left Yuji to crash into the silo. Blister eventually fell off his Duel Runner. He saw an explosion occur where Yuji was. "Yuji… Yuji! Yuji!"

"I already told you. The more a person talks about his friends, the more he's only thinking about himself. You use and hurt them. And at the final moment you betray them easily. The betrayed probably can't stand it. He lived, but he had to retire. He continues to live to this day hating me," Blister explained.

"Did your partner say that to you?" Yusei asked.

"He doesn't need to. I know," Blister responded.

"It's true that the word "friend" may be an illusion. But as long as the bond remains, it's real," Yusei said as Blister looked at the pair in surprise. "That's why I came to retrieve that bond."

"Yeah. Just because you've had a rough time with your friendship doesn't mean that all friendships are bad," Rainbow Dash said.

"Stop!" Trudge yelled, having finally caught up to the trio. "It's not over between us yet! Now it's your turn!"

"It's my turn!" Yusei called out. "Discord Counter's effect has already worn off. From my hand, I summon Speed Warrior (900 Attack). On the turn Speed Warrior is summoned, its attack points are doubled," Yusei played.

"Your strategies are obvious. I activate my trap card Power Bind! I can activate this card when the opponent summons a monster. That monster cannot attack this turn, and its attack points become 0 until your next Standby Phase!" Trudge explained as he laughed. "Too bad! If its attack points doubled, it would have been able to destroy Search Striker!"

"What are you going to do?" Blister asked.

"From my hand, I activate the Speed Spell Reactor Pod," Yusei played.

"What?" Trudge was confused.

"I can activate this card when I have 4 or more Speed Counters. I select one monster on my field with 1000-or-fewer attack points. The opponent takes damage equal to that monster's original attack points. You take damage equal to Speed Warrior's 900 attack points!" Yusei explained.

"I set one card and end my turn," Yusei ended his turn.

"It's great that you dealt damage, but what about Search Striker? Trudge can wipe out your life points next turn," Rainbow Dash was worried.

"Damn! I draw! I'll crush that 0-attack-point piece of trash! Search Striker attacks Speed Warrior!" Trudge called out.

"I activate my trap. Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. With this card, your monster's attack is negated once per turn. Afterwards, it is set again on the field," Yusei played.

"Well, great job Yusei! You managed to save yourself from damage. You're still in this duel." Rainbow said.

"You're not out of the woods yet. I activate the Continuous Trap Final Countdown! With this card, during the Main Phase of my turn, I can deal damage by sending to the graveyard this card and cards set on the field due to its effect. Sending 2 cards deal 500 points of damage, 3 cards deal 1500 points and 4 cards deal 3000 points. You have 1400 life points! In other words, if I set two more cards and send them to the graveyard, you're done! Here I go. I set the first card! I end my turn," Trudge explained.

"Just like the card says, it's a countdown to your life points becoming zero. On the next turn, you will definitely lose!" Blister was cautious.

"My turn. I switch Speed Warrior to defense position (400 Defense). Then I summon Healing Wave Generator in defense position (1600 Defense). Starlight Wave. Once a turn, I select a monster other than this one, and I gain 100 life points per Level. I select Level 2 Speed Warrior, so I gain 200 life points.

"I activate my trap. Scrap-Iron Scarecrow," Yusei said. However, to Yusei and Rainbow's shock, the trap failed.

"I won't let you. Due to Torapart's monster effect, since it was sent to the graveyard due to a Synchro Summon, you can't activate trap cards! Now Goyo Guardian's monster effect activates! When your monster is destroyed, I can negate its destruction and gain control of that monster! Welcome, Healing Wave Generator. I'm going to use your life restoration effect. Starlight Wave. I'm being resurrected! Look! I gain 600 life points, so I'm now at 3000 life points! And with Final Countdown, I set the second card!" Trudge yelled.

"Stop saying that the bond with my friends is stupid. Similar to me, you're taking good care of that card," Yusei pointed out.

"That thing symbolizes that Yuji hasn't forgiven me!" Blister said.

"You're wrong," Yusei said, much to Blister's shock. "During the accident, your partner rescued that card from the flames. I can tell from the marks that it was repaired. That's right. Your partner has forgiven you. Actually, he probably didn't even think about that. He was only thinking about one thing. He wanted to protect the bond he had with you. Because he didn't want to sever that bond. Because he cared about the bond he had with you. As long as there's a bond, you're friends forever. Just like I have my friends. That's why I fight for my bond."

"He's right! Most friendships aren't easy. Most things in life aren't, even for someone as awesome as me. But believe us that it is worth having and fighting for! I'm not the best at friendship speeches, but I can tell you that your friend probably still cares about you. You can start over with him, and you will be stronger for it!" Rainbow Dash agreed, a weight leaving her as she said this, happy that she could be of help after all.

"My turn," Yusei said. "I summon Turbo Synchron (100 Attack). When a Tuner Monster is on my field, I can Special Summon Quillbolt Hedgehog from my graveyard due to its monster effect (800 Attack). Turbo Synchron attacks Healing Wave Generator!"

"What? Turbo Synchron's attack points are less than Healing Wave Generator's defense points! Have you lost your mind?" Trudge was shocked and confused.

"You fool. Are you committing suicide? You only have 100 life points left!" Trudge mocked.

"At this moment, Turbo Synchron's monster effect activates. When this monster attacks, I can Special Summon one monster from my hand whose attack points are equal or fewer than the damage I took. Appear, Sonic Chick (300 Attack)! I flip over the trap card Urgent Tuning. With this card, I release one Tuner Monster and one or more other monsters on my field to Special Summon one Synchro Monster that fulfills the requirements," Yusei played.

"He has a Tuner Monster and three other monsters on his field. It can't be… A Synchro Summon with four monsters?" Blister was in awe.

"What?" Trudge was shocked.

"Here I go! Turbo Synchron tunes Quillbolt Hedgehog, Speed Warrior and Sonic Chick! The bond comes together to call forth a new power. Become the path that lights the way! Synchro Summon! Come, Turbo Warrior (2500 Attack)!" Yusei called out. "Turbo Warrior attacks Goyo Guardian."

"You fool. Have you lost your mind? Goyo Guardian has 2800 attack points! They're more than yours!" Trudge yelled.

"However, Goyo Guardian is Level 6. Due to Turbo Warrior's monster effect, the attack points of Level 6-or-higher monster are halved!" Yusei explained.

"What?"

"High Rate Power (1400 Attack)!"

"Even if it's destroyed in battle, I still have life points remaining. On my next turn, the countdown will lead you to zero!"

Yusei smiled. "I activate my trap Synchro Strike. For every monster that was used to Synchro Summon this turn, the Synchro Monster gains 500 attack points."

"What? (4500 Attack) Four monsters were used to summon the monster. Therefore, it has 4500 attack points? That's crazy!" Trudge rushed to be next to Yusei and Rainbow. "Yusei! I/'m not allowed to lose against a piece of garbage from Satellite!"

"Yusei!" Blister yelled as he intercepted Trudge.

"You're… Stop interfering!" Trudge cried out.

"Hurry!" Blister yelled.

"Blister…" Yusei said in awe.

"Deal the final blow for your friends!"

"Aw, so we are friends! Great to know! You heard him, Yusei! Let's finish this!" Rainbow cried out.

"Blister…" Yusei said.

"Connect the bond!" Blister cried out.

"Go, Turbo Warrior. Attack Goyo Guardian. Break through! Accel Slash!" Yusei yelled out as Turbo Warrior reduced Trudge's life points to zero, stopping his Runner and leaving a "Defeat" message on the Duel Runner. As the Runner stopped, it was knocked over along with Blister's Runner. "Blister!"
"Go! Don't worry about me! Go!" Blister yelled out.]

"Well, okay…" Rainbow hesitantly agreed, not wanting her friend to be locked in the Facility.

As they left the building, the duo were met with countless Security guards that had electric weapons that began to shock the pair painfully.

Meanwhile, Luna realized that something was going on.

"Is everything alright, Luna?" Leo asked his sister. All of a sudden, Luna began to run outside their apartment. "Luna? Luna!" Leo cried out as he chased his twin sister.

Rarity was quick to follow after the twins. "Luna? Come back darling! It isn't safe out there!"

When the trio got outside, they saw that a red Duel Runner had crashed and that the riders, Yusei and Rainbow Dash, were unconscious. "Luna, who are they?" Leo asked his sister as they stared at the duo.

Rarity cautiously walked up to Yusei and Rainbow, only for her fear to turn to relief and concern upon seeing who one of the riders was. "Rainbow Dash?"

At long last. The other main characters start to meet. While I have mainly used the Japanese dub up until this point and will in the future, I may take from the dub for the next chapter, at least in part. As for Rainbow Dash and what she explained next chapter well, SPOILERS, she did indeed fuse with Yubel and Jaden. The events of Season 3 also apply to Rainbow. Rainbow has half of the Supreme King's power in her. She became friends with Jesse and loyally tried to find him with Jaden. However, most of her friends were lost to Brron and she became the Supreme Queen with Jaden being the Supreme King. While she has mostly recovered, she has a lot of guilt over how she became the Supreme Queen. I may write more of the GX fanfic to get to that point, but for now this description should suffice on those who are curious
