A/N: So here it is, the fifteenth chapter, I remember back to when I promised a little reveal of some plans I had with this and how I'd provide more information for all of you once we reached this point. So let me endeavor to explain what ambitions I have for this story. I plan on turning this into a multi-crossover story. The way I go about doing it is secret and will be shown to you all when the time is right, however, there are two branches to it. two branches that will alter in what form and what crossovers are possible in order to keep him confined in some form of balance with those worlds. I want you all to imagine one thing, Harry and his entire fleet and people moving to a series that doesn't have space travel and only exists on earth. sounds like overkill, too much firepower and far too many people moving into this new world to warrant him needing an entire fleet and all his people.
With that in mind, certain crossovers will be dedicated to the first branch and others to the second. The first branch will involve everything, all his fleet's all his people, the second will involve just the infinity and maybe a ship or two, this is to help balance him with the worlds that cant handles such overkill. These crossovers are to create new stories that he will be involved in and hopefully grow this into a series that people will love. With that in mind, I will be starting with the Precursor Saga. The Precursor Saga will be the crossover involving all the fleets and people in his empire, it will involve crossover options that can handle a new empire moving into their territory. The Inverted Saga will follow, this is the second branch the one where he only has the Infinity and maybe one or two other ships. I will be including a poll for the Precursor Saga on my profile, this poll is to assist in me determining which of the many options for crossovers you all would like me to start with, of which I have a good few. Some are well known and others not so much, once I have at least one story in the Precursor Saga finished I will begin writing for the Inverted Saga.
I want to at least say one thing however, All good stories end, I will not be dragging this out to infinity and beyond. we will have a definite end to all of this at some point, but I do love this story and the idea that I could create multi crossovers fics with it so easily and make it fun. I want to run with it without making it a dull thing. In that respect, I have to say that this story will only be going out to maybe sixty chapters at most, maybe more if it is necessary. once the ending for this story is reached they will move into the next crossover to begin the next story. Other then that I hope you all enjoy this chapter as it should be a rather interesting one if my writing is to hold out well.
Chapter Fifteen: Tipping the Scales
Harry's POV
He rubbed at his eyes as he felt a feeling of fatigue overcome him. It was another long day of being tossed in the deep end that burned him out, of course he started to take a bit more time to look back at a few of the choices he has made and felt a little worried. He couldn't really make heads or tails of his own choices, moments that seemed a little strange on how he was going about it all. He knew they were his choices he had checked well enough if he was being influenced and while it didn't seem like it he also couldn't explain how he was leading them as well as he was. He was only a teenager and yet he seemed to be making decisions on the level of an adult whose been in the job for a long time. He made a mental note to ask Miyumi about all of this, he had a feeling something was done to help but he didn't much like the last sudden choice they made to help him so he was a little weary at that idea.
His eyes turned to the small notice sitting unanswered on the holographic display and leaned back before slumping a bit in his chair. He opened the attachment and sighed to himself at another semi-normal training event was requested. Once again they wanted to have him out and about with his fleet going through fleet-wide training. He looked over as a door hissed open and Miyumi walked in taking a moment to stop and look him over before placing the small tablet down on the desk. "Sir, the Admiral's are getting insistent." Miyumi said making him groan to himself slightly. "Alright, but they better understand that I won't be involved for a short period since the doc's want to go through with their little boost proposal in a few days, and knowing them they will jump on board the ship to make sure it happens." he said a little put off at the end as his chair spun slightly.
"I will be sure to let them know." Miyumi said with a small smirk before turning to leave. "Miyumi, let me ask you, have you all been keeping things from me? I looked back a bit and I've been making choices I probably wouldn't have before. This isn't like back on the ship though this feels like something a little bit larger than that." He said seeing her freeze slightly and look over in mild surprise. "No, I don't see any active orders for your implant's, actually all controls to them are self-contained, I don't think anyone could make an order for production unless they linked directly to your mind." Miyumi said making him frown slightly. "Then what is this?" he asked a little frustrated. "I don't know, I can have some of the researchers do a little bit of looking about or take a good look at what's going on, but without more time we won't really know what is going on." Miyumi said making him sigh softly and nod letting the woman leave quickly.
He leaned back in his chair as he looked out the large window taking in the skyline beyond. He watched carefully as three distant dots slowly approached. The screen itself lit up with a small display overlayed on it as it zoomed in on the dots. He relaxed a bit as IFF appeared above the ships and their course was plotted before being shown to him in one of the corners of the window. He waited patiently as the transport craft slowly approached softly touching down on the upper landing pad. He stood up quickly making for the primary elevator and waited for the doors to open patiently. He rode the thing to the rooftop exit his casual clothes comfortable on him. as much as they wanted him to wear more professional clothes he could never get used to them, hell even the military uniforms were a little stuff, aside from combat uniforms that is. He ignored the saluting soldiers and stepped on the transport the two escorts circling close to the building. He took a seat and waited in the silence as the ship shifted from the sudden acceleration.
He leaned back as he let his mind wander, everything that was going on was way to fast, he almost wished he'd get a chance to slow down. Maybe he'd get to see that with the current little fleet exercise, with how it's all planned out they should have a fairly easy time about it. He sighed and relaxed a bit, it wasn't like anything was likely to happen, he had a massive as fuck fleet with him so he'd be fine, no one would want to fuck with something like that.
General POV
The slight shake of the room brought the attention of everyone on the bridge. What was about to happen was a very ill-advised move, and while the Captain had the permission of the Regent, this type of move would no doubt be looked at badly by the rest of the galactic community. The subtle shaking was brought on by the Hyperdrive reaching its apex before shutting down as the scheduled jump was reaching the end. This small fleet force had a simple if well-hidden objective. The Regent had taken large steps in hiding this move from the Federation, using backroom deals to secure movement through territories fairly out of the way. They had spent a total of several weeks floating through hyperspace as they approached the sealed borders of a large galactic power. Officially they were on an escort mission for a large civilian fleet, however, they had abandoned that fleet at their final destination using the large inter-system traffic to disguise their jump to the next system.
Their true mission was something far more dangerous as a whole, and could be quite damaging to the federation if any problems were to arise since it blowback on their faces as well. This portion of space was unexplored due to the owners of the systems, and the locked-down status of the borders, but it also lead to a few good problems, like how the Regent was angered by being unable to utilize the resources inside those systems, basic greed drove him forwards as well as a curiosity towards the denizens that live in the borders of the nation. They were told to explain how they were there for resource samples, while it would throw an egg at the face of the federation it was enough to allow the bureaucratical red tape to clear them from being to harshly sentenced. Of course, another portion to their mission was to apprehend a few citizens of the Nation and make away with them so as to allow the regent to learn all that he wishes, and of course, possibly fuel the man's xenophile fetish. The clawed hands of the humanoid creature curled slightly over the controls, they weren't Bugs at least there was that, but more an avian-like species.
The shuddering stopped as the ship dropped out of hyperspace and sat on the furthest edge of the system, the long-range sensors picked up several signals from what looked like a fairly well-sized station near the center of the system. It was with encrypted communications that they moved forwards and activated the silent running. Their heat signatures near vanished venting all the heat internally. They could only maintain roughly an hour of this type of running before temperatures reached dangerous to maintain. Thankfully they were close enough to disengage the system well within the limits. more because their physical profiles would be noticeable and the system would no longer serve any real purpose. The ships burned their way through space approaching the station. The bridge crew tensed slightly expecting weapons systems to come online and the assault to begin, but it seemed the station was without them. Most breathed a sigh of relief as they let that thought sink in. "Begin, active jamming." The captain ordered growling slightly.
A single acknowledgment was all that came back as the system jammed any and all outbound signals, of course, this action did something far worse than what they realized. They had now turned what could have been little more than a light skirmish into a galactic wide war, and they wouldn't even realize they had done anything, they didn't realize that this small act had changed the entire course of the future. It was a secondary order that followed for pilots to man their fighters and transports to begin prep for boarding that brought everyone's attention to the satellite. The satellite spun slightly in space a large plate on the side circling into the sightline of their bridge. The large golden planet surrounded by laurels, shown briefly. They ignored the symbol until the captain smirked lightly. "Breach through that symbol, use the hole as the docking area for the transports." The captain called making the weapon officer charge the forwards weapons.
A small shudder through the ship followed the streaking shots of Railgun fire. The plate buckled and holes appeared along with it, the once-proud symbol broken in the face of the assault. Several more volleys breached into the plate cutting a large enough hole to allow a decently sized transport access to the inner sections of the station. Several openings were noticeable in the hole and it seemed like they had managed to breach several decks and corridors to the station proper. That was good news, with this simple act they could make accessing the inner sections easier than having to take one of the few hangers on the station proper. The transports moved quickly towards the station proper, the bridge crew watching with bated breath. The first ship slowed as it drifted through the hole in the hull disappearing behind the recess as the station completed is slow spin and bringing both the transport and the hole out of sight.
"Continue jamming, until the assault teams return, we will maintain the silence." The captain commanded as he watched the crippled stations lights flicker across its hull the power cutting in and out as it sat in space spinning softly. Everything seemed to be coming together, thankfully they figured they could be in and out in little under a few hours at most, safely exiting hostile space and entering the familiar territory of a Federation member. Too bad that he had chosen this moment in time do complete his mission, maybe if he'd have waited a day or two he could have gotten away with it, oh well live and learn right?
Harry's POV
Everything was fuzzy, the world around him seemed unbalanced, little more than a blur and yet it all seemed so clear. He walked slowly through the empty halls of his ship frowning softly as he looked over the silent halls. he exited through a nearby door appearing in one of the many massive open sections in the center of the ship his eyes looking around in surprise at the empty streets, the lack of any noise, hell the only sound he could hear was the gravity tram speeding by before silence fell over his surroundings. He turned slightly and nearly jumped back as he came face to face with an elevator. His frown deepened, there wasn't any elevators built right by the doors, the design had to account for that level of security. He entered it curious as to where it leads seeing a singular button on the panel, a panel that looked like it could have housed quite a few. He waited in silence as the doors slowly opened showing an empty bridge, no one was aboard. He walked around and looked over the room seeing the empty stations still flowing with data.
He stared out the front viewport looking at the reaches of space and getting lost for a moment. His eyes snapped back to the room and he stumbled back in shock, every piece of equipment from the displays and interfaces to the chairs themselves were gone, he found a flat disc of metal flooring surrounding him. He moved slowly forwards almost expecting to bump into something that was just invisible only to stop a foot from the window. His eyes trained into the distance searching and confused as to what was going on. He blinked as several stars flickered and blinked, he narrowed his eyes looking closer. Something was out there, something blocking the stars. He strained his eyesight trying to get a glimpse of the object, something whipped around causing more stars to blink for a moment and he noticed it was happening a lot all-around a large emptiness of space, a place devoid of stars.
He placed his hands against the glass searching before it all faded into whiteness. He blinked as he woke quickly his mind rushing. he sat up quickly groaning softly in pain as his body ached all over. "Holy bloody hell, what the feckin shit happened to me?" he asked getting a small chuckle from the doctor. "Sir, you just went through the injections and procedure, it was a resounding success and any pain you feel is your body adjusting to the effects." The doctor said making him groan lightly. "If I ever consider doing something like that again smack me." he grumbled only to receive a long laugh. "Right, where am I needed?" he asked trying to focus on the moment, he really wished he could have had more time to find out what the hell was going on. "The Admiral's require you on the bridge, supposedly we will be exiting into a system one of our scientific stations is sitting, they want you there to announce our arrival and speak to the specialists onboard the station. Or something like that, they were a bit vague with the details." The doctor said waving him off.
He grumbled to himself as he dressed quickly and moved out of the personal infirmary finding two guards who escorted him through the halls towards the personal transport he would take to the Elevator he would need to get to the bridge. The trip was made in awkward silence, while he didn't mind a minute to relax and ease his sore body he felt awkward when they just stood there and stared at him while the car moved through the streets. He quickly left the vehicle behind for the solitude of the elevator and relaxed against the wall as it moved slowly up towards the bridge. The door opened with a slight hiss that wasn't present in his dream and he wondered briefly over that before shaking his head and moving into the familiar bridge relaxing at the noise within and the presence of the people. He slid into the seat as his Admirals rested in their own seats near the left side, it was seating used for guests and it surrounded a holographic table. "Right, so we are almost there?" he asked getting a short nod from the helmsman.
He watched in bated breath as his hands curled around the armrests, while he had seen jump space before he hadn't been to every system under his control and he was still curious and excited to see a new system. He blinked as they transitioned in a second, the blur of lights near-instantly switching to normal space. His eyes glided over the small planets in the distance as well as the two large binary stars. He looked on in awe for a moment before schooling himself as he could feel the gazes of the two admirals present. He stopped and frowned for a moment as nothing was happening. "Sir, something appears to be wrong with communication, our systems cant make a solid lock with the station, it's nothing on our end." The Communications officer said making him narrow his eyes. "Anything on the long-range scans?" he asked getting a slight halt of movement and a sudden silence to fall over the bridge.
"Sir, three large objects appear to be near the station, they are surrounded by even smaller objects." The Sensor officer called out to him. "What's their composition?" Admiral Blake asked calmly making him blink. "Mostly metal, small amounts of exotic metals." The Sensor officer stated simply making the Admirals' eyes widen. "Bring fleet to battle-ready, ahead full make for point Alpha-Seven-Three-Point-Four." Admiral Blake commanded making the ship lurch as the engines ignited into a full burn. "Several of the smaller objects just broke off to intercept." The Sensor officer stated. "Call down to weapons, get solutions, and prepare a fire response. Aim to cripple not kill." Admiral Blake stated making him blink and stare at the officer who glanced at him. He nodded slightly and watched the man grab the communications terminal with a speed that impressed him. The bridge lights dimmed and a soft ride overtook the room as they fell into battle status. "What's going on with the three larger objects?" he asked getting the Sensor officer to stare at the screen.
"Two have remained near the station and another is making great speed towards the edge of the system, a large energy charge is coming from the fleeing ship." The Sensor officer said. He looked into the reaches of space and stared as a small split of light bloomed into existence before vanishing. He didn't even need to hear the sensor officer explain the ship vanished to know they escaped. He glared into space and waited as one of the forwards railguns fired and impacted against the bow of a smaller ship, it looked close to a frigate class and the shot crumpled the bow of the ship. He watched the ship float dead in space and several more shots roared out of cannons along the hull it took little more than a few seconds as the unshielded ships took the shots. A small blare of the warning systems echoed as a large swarm of missiles rocketed out of one of the frigates splashing against his shields. One of the frigates glowed brightly as it bloomed into a fireball. He grimaced as it went up in a superheated ball of hell.
"What happened?" He asked getting a grimace from the weapons officer. "One of the shots cored the ship, it hit the reactor of the ship and it went critical." The officer replied making him sit back and look. He felt uncomfortable, people died, in that short moment what could have been hundreds of sentient beings went up in a moment. He didn't know how to feel about it, they were clearly attacking him and his people, but they were still living beings. One of the larger ships approached easily a battleship class and its weapons opened up. He watched in mild surprise as it's shots impacted against his shields causing a fair bit of damage on the shield emitters. A small section of shielding failed under several moments of direct assault and the shots impacted the armor plating. He groaned as he knew the damage would take a small bit to replace and it would annoy him to no end with the paperwork alone.
Another volley of shots rolled from beside them impacting against the ship's central decks and punched through the light shields splitting the ship in near half, small sections still holding the fore and aft sections together. He watched it float dead in space debris floating in a small belt around it as it coasted through space. The last ship went up in another bright light several shots rocketing from several other ships in his fleet. He almost felt like it was overkill, so many ships to fight such a small group. His hand went to his head as he rubbed it unsure of what he was feeling. So many different feelings rushed through him before he turned his eyes towards the station. He glanced at his helmsman. "Send a detachment to secure the ships, keep a section here to watch over them, and make the best speed for the station." He said worried as he looked at the still unresponsive station.
He turned and left the chair making for the elevator only to be stopped by both Admirals. "Sir, perhaps sending a boarding crew to secure the scene would be best right now." Admiral Pushkov stated making him frown at the woman her eyes trained past him on the station. he felt a flash of anger for a moment before taking a breath and frowning softly towards the woman. "Send a team to secure an entrance, they can make sure there is no ambush but I am going." he said unwilling to bend on that seeing her shift a little bit. While her face was a carefully built mask he could see a slight hesitance to agree to his order before moving out of his way. He waited for a moment before continuing his move towards the elevators to make his way to one of the thousands of transports. It would be a fair few minutes before he could even get to the nearest one, and it would take longer to get to the station itself so the team had time to secure it. By the time he got to the transport, he found a small escort team waiting for him. He nodded to the soldiers and walked aboard the ship letting them take the seats closest to the door.
The flight through space was shorter than he expected and he found himself looking over an empty and quiet hanger bay for the station. The lights flickered here and there as power surges continued over the station its reactor malfunctioning. He walked through the halls slowly taking a good look around them, the sight of bullet marks and laser scoring around him made him tense. he could feel a well of anger boiling under the surface, so far no bodies were found but he couldn't help but tense up in preparation. He walked through one of the many blast doors and looked amongst the control room. He glanced over it seeing strangely designed armored suits leaning against a wall reddish blood splattered against it and looked over the enemy that assaulted the station. He moved closer and could hear his escorts tense and aim weapons at the corpses. He looked over the body laying a hand on the symbol that lay in the center of its armored chest.
He turned away from the corpse, his mind dispassionately made the connection that it was a sentient being but his rage pushed down any form of possible guilt or sadness. He looked amongst the damage and found himself staring at three bodies. He approached them slowly looking over the white Lab coats and saw one was holding a pistol in its grip. He looked closer and saw two were synthetic and one was a full android and stared in silence as he looked over the dead scientists that had been so excited to see hi and show off their work. He frowned deeper and looked into the systems log with his link, they had tried to hopefully upload a scan of their minds to the net but the jamming kept them from doing so, the buffers were too small to contain it all and their minds were scrubbed. They died, in the most literal sense, no recovery, no new bodies. He closed the link the rage spiking in a massive way and he could feel a force whipping around him but ignored it, ignored the slight scream of metal as it tore, keeping his eyes linked on the bodies. "Admiral, get me one of the prisoners." he said calmly his voice even and cold.
He may one day look back on this moment in alarm, scared of himself for how cold and cruel he sounded in that moment, but that day was not today, nor would it be for a very long time. He turned and looked over the room seeing new damage and his escorts sitting outside the room looking inside in awe before stiffening as he looked them over. He walked out ignoring the way they parted quickly and moved down the halls towards the transport hoping to get back in time to meet the prisoner. His rage burned hot the entire trip back and he found himself staring at the two pairs of eyes that were his Admirals as they stood before him standing tall. "Move." he said simply the entire hanger going instantly silent at his cold order. He could see the two tense and stand a little taller. "Sir, at this moment in time, you are to emotionally compromised to meet with any prisoner, we have interrogators on board, they can handle this." The Admirals said making his eyes narrow before relating a bit as they didn't back down in the least. "Fine, but I will be watching." He said turning towards the interrogation room's counterpart. He stepped inside seeing the darkroom and the two inside watching a man sitting across from a roughed up avian humanoid.
His eyes glanced over his own man before laying on the arrogant look on the avians' face and could tell by the eyes of the creature alone it had no intention of explaining its presence there. He waited in mild annoyance as the interrogator started his questioning. He should have been proud of himself he was being fairly patient but it was around the third hour that a single comment from the avian tripped his switch. "Nothing you do will make me break. You will fail and all you will have lost will never be recovered." The creature said with a small laugh. His eyes snapped closed as he tried breathing through his nose before the well of rage broke free. Little would be remembered but he would always remember striding from the room, smashing his own interrogation room door inwards, which could be considered impressive since they were blast doors, and taking the table in one hand throwing it against the wall. He would recount back on that moment in mild awe as he realized how strong he had become.
He didn't even need to move or do anything the creature found purple energy holding it in place face to face with him, and with but a single moment he found himself deep in the creature's mind taking its most well-hidden secret as well as anything else he wished. In that single moment, pure rage let him commit one of the hardest spells to perform wandless, and he didn't even realize it. He turned away allowing the creature to drop to the ground and convulse as its blood steadily streamed out of its orifices as the mental assault started a chain reaction of hemorrhaging. He walked past the two surprised and slightly horrified admirals watching the troops in the hallway move quickly out of his way. He hoped that it was simply because of how pissed he looked and not more an issue of being scared of him. He waited in the elevator and didn't hesitate to move into the bridge moving swiftly for the control chair. He took a seat quickly and pulled the control cord.
The sound of his officers scrambling to let go of the controls made him pause until silence fell over the room again. He linked in and closed his eyes at the cold sensation that spread through his mind before giving the mental command over the Tacnet. He could feel the hesitance in the Tacnet before all the ships adjusted their power output and synced up with his movements. He moved the ship away from the station and kicked the thrusters to full, heading to the edge of the system as he charged the jump drive. He opened his eyes and stared over the bridge seeing the worried and tense faces of his officers. He turned the chair in place as the dual elevator doors opened and the Admirals quickly walked in approaching him. "Sir what are you doing?" Admiral Blake asked making him frown. "They felt it was appropriate to attack us, unprovoked and kidnap some of our people, I will be getting them back, as well as teaching them a lesson they will not forget." He said his mind drifting over the losses he had endured back during his fight with Voldemort, the people dead well before their time, and the terror that reigned.
He knew the past and present were different but it felt so much like moments like those he couldn't pull his rage back. "Sir, we really should be careful about a move this rash could have massive negative implications for us." Admiral Pushkov said simply making him narrow his eyes before leaning his head back to stare at the ceiling. "Then what do you propose I do?" he asked annoyed and frustrated. "Hold off for now, what did you find out, perhaps if we have the information we can go from there." Admiral Blake said calmly making him shut the engines down and sent a command rescinding his order from before on the Tacnet. "Yeah, I suppose I can do that." He said sending the massive data packet to the two who paused for a few moments to process it before turning to him. "Perhaps we can appeal to the Federation they are a part of, a large government body like that could get us the results we want without to much risk." Admiral Pushkov said making him slump a bit in the chair. "I hate politicians." he mumbled as he rubbed his face in annoyance.
"We know, but this may be the safest way to do this." Admiral Pushkov said making him sigh and even with the rage simmering managed to finally push it down to listen to them. It had been little over five hours of running on pure rage and he found himself exhausted and let their suggestion take hold. He'd talk it out, but he didn't hold out much hope, after all, it was a bunch of politicians he would be talking too and his last experiences were less than stellar. "Send a missive to them, let them know I will be meeting them." He said simply as he stood to leave and find a place to sleep. "When?" Admiral Blake asked. "As soon as possible." He said over his shoulder hoping he might get a decent amount of sleep to try and fix his little rage issue or at least let him focus a bit. He just knew whatever he was walking into was only going to make him angrier and that was not going to result well for anyone involved.
He was right, the entire meeting with the massive quorum of twenty or so nations representatives on a massive space station was little more than a sham. He sat in the massive meeting hall that seemed more fitting for a hundred different nations than the twenty or so that made up the council he found his simmering rage growing. Nothing he said or did made any headway. Nations were bickering back and forth over small issues that hadn't been resolved for months not really listening to what needed to be said and the council adjutant did little to control the series of events. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply as they yelled backend forth the representative for the nation he had grievances within question seemed to be a little haughty and happy with this turn of events. He stood quickly in the floating platform that was currently docked in the stations' massive interior and looked at the ceiling that was a massive view port into space and saw the magnificent sight of one of their Flagships floating overhead nearby his own. He slammed his hands down on the display and watched as the room went quiet.
Small swirling masses of purple energy rippled off his skin and his eyes glowed with power as he stared over the ambassadors. "Enough, I didn't come here to listen to minor issues, I am not even part of your council and will not be joining at any point, I came to lay my grievance before you hoping you may solve the issue but it seems as though I was correct in my original assumption." he said tearing the words from his advisors' direct communication. "They blatantly attacked my territory and have kidnapped my citizens, yet you sit here squabbling over the smallest of things." He said getting indignant huffs. "So, its only a few people nothing to be concerned about." A wealthy-looking species said the obvious materialistic appearance taking a whole new tone to him. Some of the representatives seemed to cringe a little and did glare at the species in question before their glares turned back to each other. "I see, that's how you feel. Very well." He said silencing them all in mild surprise. He watched them all smile happily getting their way.
"Good, now if we may move on, about the lost fleet." The species he had been fighting asked getting small nods from the council. "Right we will need their immediate return." The Council Adjutant stated making him smirk coldly at the man. "No." he said getting a heavy silence to fall before the entire council exploded into yelling. He waited in silence as they all ran out of breath and stared at his cold gaze. "No, they will all be put to death, for daring to attack my lands. the ships stripped and melted down, and we will be sure to publicize it all over the galactic net." he said bluffing a bit and seeing the horrified looks of the ambassadors inside. "You see there's a consequence to fighting someone you don't know, they might just take offense to that." he said simply letting the threat stand as he turned to leave the room his escort looking at him in shock as did his advisor. "This will mean war." The species said in anger making him look over his shoulder his eyes flashing with power as his rage took control for the briefest of moments.
"So be it." He said coldly sending a mental command to his troops above. He met the two Admirals in the hall. Their faces looked grave and he smiled sardonically. "We tried it your way, and this is what we get, now we do things my way." He said as he passed the two falling in step with the escort as they slowly made their way to the transports. He knew well what was going to happen next, the truce would hold until he returned to his territory, and once their all restrictions would be lifted. He knew the other nations did not agree to the war and as such he couldn't engage their forces, but the empire in question, he could destroy everything they had and the ground they stood on, and he would gladly do so to save his people and avenge the fallen. If his past fighting experience had taught him anything it was to be fiercely protective of what was his. "I hope you are prepared for this." Admiral Blake said making him chuckle depreciatingly. "I'm about to order the deaths of so many, I'm going to be leading a war, nothing in the world could prepare me for this." He said simply as he slumped in the chair his actions taking weight, a weight he was most certainly not ready for.
"And yet you would still go through with it?" Admiral Pushkov asked making him glance back at the fleet sitting on the other side of the station his eyes landing on the ships designed by his new enemy, anger flowing at the sight of them. He burned the sight of that fleet into his mind taking in every detail and then some as he thought over her question the anger spurring him on as sadness at what was going to happen crushed down. The opposing emotional side crushed him for a moment before they let up and his anger won, his grief spurned it on and both emotions at that moment came to the same conclusion, just as his mind did. He turned and looked over the two Admirals who looked at him worriedly a little concerned and it brought a slight smile to his face as he felt grateful for their concern.
"Yes." he said simply his voice sad and he could see the effect it had. And he hated himself all the more.
A/N: So here is me tipping the scales, something you will notice is the imbalance in his emotions and it's going to spur some questions but bear with me as I will explain it later on. He seemed incredibly angry at this moment in time and I have several reasons for that, those reasons will be addressed later on since I want to use them a little more and hopefully unveil them to you so you can come to the conclusion of why he is acting the way he is. I am proud of this chapter as it felt natural to write this out and I truly do want to get to some action and this is a good way to start it, after all, whats a galactic community without a little war, right?
If you need to ask anything at all I am more than willing to speak with you all in PM's or you can simply leave a review and with the next release of a chapter I will attempt to answer any question you may have, even if it doesn't pertain to this series as a whole. Also, I believe I should say that with my new amount of free time releases shouldn't be as long as before since I ran into certain issues that kept me away from the computer and therefore away from releasing new content, as well as wanting to take a break into some other stories or new stories to try and flex my mental muscles with writing and help free up some ideas I can use with this series in particular. I will be performing a rewrite of a certain series as I want to rework it and take away certain roadblocks I had run into by removing the limitations I placed on myself.
With that Said, I hope you enjoyed and look forwards to the next chapter.
