A/N: Hey! To anyone actually reading this, thank you :) this is my first story after a super long time. Its not much but hope you like it.

I can't explain what caused me to abandon my vacation plans. If it wasn't for the storm, I'd be with Mitsukuni right now. Yet instead of waiting to join him, I was swept away with the immense urge to come here. But why ...

Making his way up the stairs to the upper landing, he pauses with his hand ready to knock on the door in front of him. Overcoming his momentary confusion, pushing past his hesitation he knocks on the door. After a few moments, and loud shuffling noise, the door weakly swings open. It took him a moment to recognize the sickly creature at the door. She looked nothing like her normal ambivalent, stoic self. She was disheveled, her eyes and nose were swollen and red. He had seen her out of the school uniform before, but now it was oddly disarming. Seeing her so vulnerable made his chest ache.

"M-Mori Senpai." She doubled over coughing, she would have fallen if he hadn't caught her effortlessly. He pulled her close to his chest, her body trembled with the violent coughing. He delicately swept her bangs from her eyes and placed a hand on her forehead. She was unbelievably hot to the touch.

Is this why I was compelled here?

"It's okay Haruhi, I'm here now." He pressed her tighter to his chest, and took her into the apartment. Besides them it was empty, so he took her into her bedroom. He got on the bed, which was much small then he was use to, with her snuggled up in his arms. Her breathing was swallow and ragged, maybe she should go to the hospital. Part of him was concerned for her health but another selfish part of him enjoyed being alone together. But he stuffed that down and pulled his phone out.

Haruhi whimpered softly, her body felt heavy from fatigue. The constant beeping and humming of machines was making her already pounding head hurt even more. She wasn't very aware of her surroundings, opening her eyes seemed like an impossible tasked right now. But she was vaguely aware of someone holding her hand firmly. Despite the overwhelming urge to succumb to her body demanding rest, she was swept away with a rush of curiosity. So she painful, and ever so slowly open her eyes. When she did, she discovered the annoying sound from before were from machines. She was in a hospital.

How did I get here?

She forced her head to turn and look at who was holding her hand. It was Mori Senpai, he was sitting in a chair, his head laying on the bed next to her. He was fast asleep. She used the last bit of her energy and rubbed her thumb over the hand that held hers so delicately but securely.

"Mm.." she tried to talk but her throat was so dry, and her voice was hoarse from so much coughing. She tried again, but instead of words she sent herself into a coughing fit, fumbling with the mask over her face. At first she was confused when someone wrapped their arms around her, but she leaned into them.

"It's okay Haruhi. Don't over exert yourself. I called Kyoya, and he said I could bring you to a Ortori owned hospital. They'll take care of you here, and I won't leave you. I don't have Rankas number otherwise I'd have called him for you." He took the oxygen mask from her hand gently and put it back on her face. "Careful, you need this." She weakly shook her head, balling a fist of his shirt into her tiny hand.

"D-dont want to worry him." She coughs weakly. "Don't c-call him."

"Okay. Okay I won't. Just calm down. You need to rest okay." The door forcefully opens, slamming against the wall, Haruhi unconsciously jumps and releases Takashi from her grip.

"Haruhi! Are you alright! Daddy was so worried about you when I found out" Tamaki rushes into the rather large room. It was closer to a suite in a hotel then a hospital room, following closely behind him was the rest of the Host Club. Pushing past Tamaki, the twins crawled onto the bed with Haruhi in the middle. Snuggling up closely to her.

"Hey what do you guys think your doing getting into bed with my Haruhi!" The Hitachiin twins both looked at him with a deadpan expression.

"Haruhi doesn't seem to mind." Said Hikaru.

"Yeah." Said Kaoru. "This is what we like when we're sick. And look she already fell back asleep." Tamaki is instinctively drawn to her sleeping face, before he could utter another syllable Kyoya walks over and smacks him in the head with a newspaper.

"Quite down." He glares at the other man, his expression softening when it wonders over to Harushis flushed face. "Calm down or get out, we're not here to satisfy you but make sure she's alright." By this point his voice his a low octave and threatening. Tamaki rushes out of the room. Turning his attention to the two mischievous twins. "I hope you two behave."

They look at each other and in unison reply. "Of course." Laying down, both forming barriers with their bodies to keep her in place.

"I'm going to freshen up." Takashi calmly exists the room and Hani Senpai follows after him, climbing up onto his shoulder.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah."

He didn't really believe him, but he left it alone. He knew the other man like no other, maybe even better then he know himself. He knew without needing to be told how he felt for Haruhi. And what strength it took for him to leave her side.

I'll be here when you're ready to tell me Takashi...
