(Chapter 9: A failed attempt at an attack)
(Location: Mount Everest)
A drone had been circling around the mountain, the drone had been created by Monarch. It had been sent out after speculation of a potential hidden base by Dr. Stanton and Colonel Belinsky, the drone zoomed in and out, getting close to the mountain, and then getting far from it.
The screen was being displayed within the control room at Outpost 54, everyone's eyes were glued to the screen. Now that they had received a better visual of what the object on the mountain was, they were shocked to their core.
Within the mountain, engineers and mechanics were freaking out about the damage received to the body of their "ultimate weapon."
"What the world is that gaping hole in the stomach!?" One of the black hole alien engineers screeched furiously, Ren Serizawa and one of the head mechanics were supervising the camera and video that MechaGodzilla's eyes had recorded.
While MechaGodzilla was traveling through the Hollow Earth for a brief window of time, Mothra jumped on him, plunging her stinger right into the body of the large machine. The cameras built within the eyes of MechaGodzilla went fuzzy and full of static, this is when the Godzilla shaped machine retreated.
"That disgusting moth.." Ren growled, angered at how Mothra came in to foil their plans.
"Repairs will take some time, we will do what we can." The head mechanic spoke to Ren.
"Well you better hurry, because I know that Mothra healed those two bastard monsters up!"
(Location: Outpost 54)
"Unbelievable.." Laura said in awe as the drone continued to reveal the massive iron doors on the side of Mount Everest, of all the places that would hold a hidden base, like behind a waterfall or within an underground bunker, within the tallest mountain in the world, a secret base.
"The thing about it is, we don't know how long that base has been there." Dr. Stanton added on as the drone's camera revealed something else to everyone within the control room.
A large symbol was plastered on the right door, a huge wind blew some snow away, it was the same symbol that was on MechaGodzilla's shoulder!
"You've got to be kidding me.." Laura gasped in awe, Kenny's eyes were wide. The two of them were the only ones in the control room that knew what it was.
"What is it, Colonel?" Stanton asked.
"That logo, it is was on MechaGodzilla. On his shoulder, me and Kenny seen it back in Savannah. This means.." Before she could finish her answer, Stanton ended it for her.
"It means that this damn mountain is an alien base, I knew it!" Stanton screamed, pounding his fist on the desk, but he didn't sound too excited or enthusiastic.
"Not only that, but the drone has been scanning large amounts of Hollow Earth radiation. So this would also be a large entrance to the Hollow Earth, if we can get inside of that base." Kenny added on, Dr. Stanton decided to voice his opinion on going within an alien base.
"Good idea pal, how do you expect us to get inside safely?" Dr. Stanton said in a smartass tone, when Kenny went to fire back at the scientist, the voice of Brayden Snow boomed into the room.
"I say we bomb the piss outta the doors and lower a jet close enough to the opened hole, utilizing parachutes to get in." Brayden suggested, Dr. Stanton still thought that this was a bad idea.
"Well when we get inside, we get turned into minced meat by alien blasters or God knows what they have in store for us.."
Brayden sighed and spoke up.
"Well, does anybody else have any other ideas?" Brayden asked aloud, the room remained silent.
Kenny, who had taken the mantle as leader for now, turned his head to face Brayden.
"I like the way you're thinking, this is what I call a longshot. We'll do it this evening, we just need time to prepare." Kenny said, Brayden smiled, and nodded his head in agreement.
Brayden headed back down the hall, going to the elevator in order to go down into the barracks wing of the outpost, Vergil wasn't within his room, this surprised Brayden.
The now third in command of the Skull Squadron entered his dorm room, searching for his gear including his armor in his closet. Getting ready for the next mission, for some reason, within his mind, Brayden Snow felt as if he made a mistake in stabbing Alan Haas in the gut earlier.
The words that Alan Haas told him moments before he was stabbed, really started to make Brayden think. Years of failures on the G-Team's side even before the batch in which Brayden and his friends were part of became part of the new Skull Squadron, was putting dirt on their own name, and Alan Haas was coming to grips with reality.
All of that training, going through hell just to leave.. Brayden thought to himself as he began to switch out from his everyday clothing and into his armor, placing on his dark green shirt on first.
Suddenly, Vergil Snow entered the room with a groan of annoyance.
"What's wrong, Vergil?" Asked Brayden.
"Andy, where is Colonel Williams? I've been wanting to do some training with him.."
Brayden remained silent for a moment and then gulped before answering his younger brother.
"Vergil, I don't know how I am going to tell you this in a way not to piss you off. Andy Williams, has retired. He couldn't handle all of the drama between me and Alan.." He sighed, Vergil's eyes widened.
"That bastard...Andy told me that he would never leave me, he would train me to be one of the best soldiers on the G-Team, and now he just goes and dips on me!?" Vergil screamed, slamming his fist into the wall. Tears began to form in his eyes, tears of anger.
"I've tried so hard to join you guys, I've looked up to you for so long, brother. Seen you as an inspiration, and I trained with the ones you trained with. I've trained with your best friends, and now they are leaving us behind.." Vergil continued on, Brayden tried to console him from afar with warm smile on his face.
"I'll train you, Vergil. After all, before the Kaiju Club, it was just me and you."
The words "me and you" warmed Vergil's hurting heart, tears began to stream down his face as he quickly embraced his brother with shaky breathing as he sobbed.
"What is going on? Why is everything falling apart?" Vergil weeped, Brayden struggled not to cry himself. The brothers didn't have their parents to talk to anymore, they only had themselves, everyone at the outpost gave the brothers the ugly eye, they couldn't trust Brayden after he had stabbed Alan Haas hours earlier. Both of the soldiers had received a warning, including one to Vergil if he got involved.
"Things are bad right now, I'm not going to lie, but it will get better. I promise." Brayden said softly, trying to reassure his brother that things were going to be alright, trying to sound strong in order to help Vergil calm down.
"Please don't say that, and allow things to get worse." Vergil continued to weep, but softer this time.
"Things will not get worse, it won't." Brayden continued to say.
Within the dining area, Sam Brody sat alone in the darkness. The only light coming into the dining room was coming from the hall lights on the outside, after all the chaos in his life, he found sitting alone in the darkness was a calming place to be with just a little bit of light seeping in through a window on the double doors.
He was trying to meditate, as he had been taught by his therapist due to his depression hitting a huge low a couple months after his mother's death last year. Sam took a deep breath in, held it for a few seconds, and then took a breath out.
His heart was without a doubt heavy as he silently wept, a few tears leaking out of his eyes and trickling down his cheeks although Sam appeared to be calm. His breathing became shaky a few moments, but Sam had some sort of control over it.
"D-dad, I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm sorry th-that I brought you into this m-mess.." Sam said softly, if he spoke too loud, he ran the risk of breaking into uncontrollable tears.
Sam hoped to hear something, a sign or an indirect answer that his father was with him, but he only received silence. This caused his breathing to become more shaky as tears were jerked from his eyes again, falling down his cheeks at a more rapid rate now.
"I am so, so sorry.. I wish me you, and momma could have stayed in North Dakota, leading a peaceful life. I th-th-thank you for your training with me back ho-ho.." Sam started to stutter and let out a whimper as tears fell out of his eyes faster now before he could utter the word "home."
"Home" was a word of peace, it reminded Sam of all the happy moments and memories he shared with his parents, with his girlfriend, Destanee. All of it would be lost forever, never to be achieved again.
"De-Destanee, please forgive me. Wh-wh-what you did back in Savannah, was one of the most courageous and b-bravest things I have ever seen you done. You don't kn-know how much it means for you to protect me just as I had protected you so many times. I love you with all of my heart, and I cannot wait until we meet again.." Sam said before slamming his fist on the table, making a loud booming noise that echoed across the darkened dining room.
"The same goes for you, dad." Sam said with a deep breath, gently placing his head down on the table and began to take in deep breaths. Taking it slow and easy, it was peaceful within the dark room and how it was slightly cool. He began to drift off to sleep as he got his body into a relaxed state.
Sam would find himself within a dream, a dream that he was wanting to have.
(Dream)
Sam found himself in a field at the bottom of a small hill, laying on his back within a patch of nice smelling flowers. He sat up and took a few glances around himself, the sky was a beautiful sunset shade of purple. The air felt a nice balance between hot and cold, like the air in the season of fall, such a blissful feeling on the body. A gentle breeze blew through his shortcut hair.
As he looked around, he noticed the silhouette of a figure standing at the top of a hill. Far out in the distance was several more hills larger than this one, he raised an eyebrow, looking around him in a bewildered state of mind.
"Where am I?" Sam thought aloud, there was no other humans here other than him or this figure standing at the top of the hill.
Curious, and wanting answers as to what was going on, Sam approached the figure at the top of the hill. As he got closer, he noticed that it was his father! Ford Brody.
Ford seemed to be dressed in a business suit, the breeze blowing through his shortcut brown hair.
"Dad?" Sam asked, Ford turned around with a serious look on his face, putting a hand on his son's shoulder gently.
"This isn't the time for tears, Sam. I've raised you to be a strong man, cut it out." Ford playfully scolded his son for crying, a warm smile on his face.
"Dad, I couldn't help it. I-I'm sorry." Sam answered, Ford chuckled.
"I'm sorry, that I failed you son. I should have never went so low, I should've known how you were feeling with Elle."
"Don't apologize, dad. I've failed you, I should've spoken to you about rejoining Monarch before I left you. I should've kept faith that you were going to be alright, if I hadn't went up to Georgia, you wouldn't have been killed.." Sam said, a single tear dripping down his cheeks as his voice broke. Ford wiped it away as somebody else began to materialize within the air, slowly landing next to Ford, it was Elle Brody.
"Mom..MOM!" Sam exclaimed in a voice full of pure joy, he began to cry, probably the hardest he's ever cried in his entire life up to this point as he embraced his mother whom he lost a year ago. Sam had never felt such happiness and joy in his life.
"I've missed you son, I wish you can come join us, but you've got a mission to accomplish.." Elle said before gently kissing Sam on the forehead.
"You've gotten so strong son, your training back home in North Dakota has shaped your skills into a foundation, you need to sharpen them up." Ford explained as another person materialized to the right of him, it was Destanee.
Sam couldn't contain the joy and love, and collapsed onto his knees with tears freely falling from his eyes, hitting the soft ground.
"Thank you for your loving words, my dear. I did it to protect you and your father, I had no idea whether it would work or not, but it kept you alive. I'm happy it did." Destanee said with a smile, embracing Sam with a kiss on his lips.
The two kissed for a good moment, taking in their love and affection for one another.
"Make me proud, Sam, avenge our deaths by taking out Floyd. Do it for me." Elle Brody said as she patted her son on the back.
"Do it for us." Destanee added on before she vanished into the purple sky, following Elle Brody.
Ford stepped forwards to speak with his son.
"Sam... Get that motherfucker.."
(End dream sequence)
Sam woke up to see Madison Russel laughing at him playfully, tapping him on the head to tease him.
"Wake up sleepyhead!" She giggled loudly, a half smile came to Sam's face.
"I'm awake, I'm awake." Sam said quickly, not knowing who was there.
"You were talking in your sleep." Madison warned with a cute smile.
A red blush came to the face of Sam Brody, thankfully, it wasn't noticeable thanks to the darkness of the room. He noticed another light had been turned on in the kitchen area of the dining room.
"Yeah, I had a dream."
"About what?"
"It was strange, but peaceful at the same time. I got to speak with my father, mother, and girlfriend. Some weird purple afterlife place.." Sam answered, Madison looked as if she understood.
"I have them too, I spoke with my mother. We had a little reunion, it was fun somewhat." Madison replied.
"That's strange, well it is good for all of us to see our loved ones again...What are you doing here in this dining room anyway?" Sam asked with a little chuckle at the end of his sentence.
"Oh, I was coming in here to get a drink from the kitchen, that was until I saw you fast asleep. I could ask the same question for you as well."
"I came in here for some alone time, I needed some time to think." Sam answered, knowing Madison was going to ask why he was within an empty dark room.
"Why are you in here alone? You shouldn't be alone.." Madison spoke softly as she took a seat beside him, Sam remained silent.
"I heard what happened to your father, Sam... I'm sorry." She continued.
"You don't have to apologize, I'm pretty sure it is widespread news at this point that my father is dead. I'd rather not talk about it too much." Sam said, Madison sighed and gently patted his back.
"It's okay, my mother is long gone. It was rough for me, I looked up to her as a young girl, and when I was a teenager, she unleashed all of those titans on the world. In the end though, Emma will always be my mother, regardless of what happens to us."
Sam gave Madison a slight smile.
"I know, I had a similar situation with my father, did something I never wanted to see him do. He became an alcoholic, jerked off to porn a bit too much to where all he can think of is pleasuring himself be it a drink or a dopamine rush. It's why I left him, and went to Georgia.." Sam answered, starting to feel comfortable enough around Madison to speak about his troubles.
"In the end though, my father didn't fail me, I failed my father. I should have stayed with him through the thick and thin, if I had, he would probably still be here." Sam continued on, Madison looked down towards the floor in disbelief at what she was hearing, feeling sorry for Sam.
"I too, looked up to my dad. I wanted to be like him so much that you wouldn't even believe it, I trained back at home in North Dakota, firing range. That was before everything went to hell last year with the large bats and everything. It's hard to stay calm and collected when everyone you know around you is gone, grandparents, mother, and now my father. I've got no family left.." Sam said, his voice breaking into a whimper, but he fought hard to not burst into hysterical crying.
"It's okay, Sam." Madison could hear the tears wanting to come out, sometimes it was okay to cry but Sam was fighting the urge regardless.
Sam felt Maddie's soft hand wipe away a tear from his cheek, he looked up at her next to him after glancing down towards the floor, trying to hide the fact that he was silently weeping. She leaned in to speak with him some more.
"Don't say that you've got no family left, family doesn't have to be your bloodline or your cousins, aunts, or uncles. You could start a whole new family, one with friends and mentors, and hey," Madison said, reassuring Sam with calming thoughts to ease his troubled mind.
"I'll be your first member of your new family, if you want me to." She finished, a warm yet playful smile on her face, Sam smirked at this and hugged Madison.
"Thanks, Madison. I appreciate it, you don't know how much." Sam spoke softly, Madison gave him a pleasant smile, embracing Sam back.
"No problem, my friend." Madison replied as she continued to hug this lonely young man, the two were the same age.
Later that evening, Brayden would meet his brother, Vergil in the barracks.
"Vergil, I'm going on a mission. I am going to ask you to stay here please." Brayden told his younger brother, that to which Vergil seemed to be disappointed.
"Why can't I come? I'm pretty sure the others are going too, I'm going with you. I'm already geared up." Vergil said as he went towards the door only to be pushed back by Brayden.
"It is too dangerous for you, brother. I've got more experience than you, I'll be okay." Brayden said, trying to reassure his younger brother that he would be alright.
"No, I can go with you guys! I saved the world when I helped Godzilla last year.." Vergil growled, trying to get past his brother again, only to be stopped once more.
"This is an alien base, I'm not going to lose you. I promise you that I will make it back soon enough, please do not worry. I've got my brothers and sister in arms by my side, we will be fine!" Brayden said with a smile, patting his brother on the shoulder.
Vergil wasn't going to argue, so he let out a sigh and went back towards the bed to have a seat.
"When I get back, me and you will train together. I'll get you just as good as me!" Brayden chuckled, Vergil smiled as his brother then left down the hall towards the elevator.
"God, I hope so.." Vergil said softly, knowing how dangerous this mission was bound to be.
(Later on that evening, dusk)
The large bomber plane had been flying for a couple of hours as of now, heading towards the great Mount Everest. Ready to bomb the hangar doors in hopes of getting inside to raid it, everyone within the jet was silent.
"The mountain is coming up, twelve o'clock. The pilot of the jet announced, the Skull Squadron and the few other troops within got suited up, placing on their parachutes and brandishing their guns.
From within the mountain, radars detected something incoming. A large dot popping up, Ren began to get nervous. A large camera spun on the outside of the hangar, disguised as a large mound of snow. A large Monarch logo was on the side of the jet, causing the slanted eyes of Dr. Serizawa's son to widen in surprise and a bit of horror.
"Send out MechaGodzilla to Monster Island, make sure he gets there through the Hollow Earth, we could be in serious trouble!" Ren exclaimed, causing the engineers and mechanics within the massive hangar to scramble into a panicked frenzy.
The engineers scrambled on the catwalks to get to MechaGodzilla's head to give his computer a new command, Ren was pacing around on the ground, back and forth while all of his simian allies were in a frenzy.
How could those assholes find us? It doesn't make any sense Ren thought to himself.
"Open up the hatch on the floor, there is a tunnel within the Hollow Earth that got me here. I'm pretty sure if MechaGodzilla finds the path to Monster Island, we'll be in business!" Ren shouted, an engineer pressed a few buttons on a panel nearby, a loud humming noise was heard as massive floor panels began to slide open for the metallic beast to slide in.
Ren recognized this bomber jet, it was the 2nd most large aerial vehicle that Monarch had constructed right behind the Atragon and the Argo Jet. This new jet looked somewhat similar to the Argo, but it had the appearance of a plane as well, a blend between the two. The jet was known as the White Rodan, it received the name from the person who built it and the name of the titan Rodan.
Ren had only ever seen this jet before on blueprints at the GDF HQ right before Kaiyo Hanson betrayed the team, the type of bomb would be powerful enough to blast open the doors, or so Ren had believed. The bomb the White Rodan utilized was the prototype of the Oxygen Destroyer, the same one that stopped Godzilla's heart.
The mind within the crazed Ren Serizawa was racing, wondering what he could do to potentially stall the attack to their base. There was a machine within the base that acted as a device similar to an EMP, but wasn't as strong, so the blast wouldn't down the large jet that was coming their way, hopefully it would stall the bomb within the massive aerial vehicle.
He quickly slammed his fist on one of the larger buttons of the panel he stood before, a loud pulsating hum filled the room, going through the shudder doors of the hangar, shooting up towards the jet as it got closer towards Everest.
The men and women within the White Rodan felt the blast for sure, the pilot noticed all of the screens and controls within the cockpit going nuts before restoring back to normal within a few seconds, but a couple of things within the aircraft were damaged, thankfully, the things that happened to be broken wouldn't doom the ship.
"I think we should drop the bomb now, it seems like they're trying to fight back!" Kenny called out to one of the pilots, the co-pilot pressed the button to open the latches and drop the Oxygen Destroyer prototype, however, the latches didn't budge a bit.
Alan Haas, Brayden Snow, Laura Belinsky, and Kenny Anderson were within the latch area. A couple of other soldiers stood at the bomb, trying to fix whatever was wrong with the mechanics of the hatches beneath it so it would drop.
"Seems jammed." Dr. Stanton groaned, he decided to tag along for the ride.
"Could you try a manual override?" The co-pilot called out, Dr. Stanton groaned.
"They're stuck!" He exclaimed, his face shifting in realization that a situation similar to this played out in 2019 when latches to the Argo Jet were screwed up, an osprey had to get inside after evacuating from a destroyed town in Isla De Mara.
"Holy shit, I said it again.." Stanton continued.
"I got it, shit.." Brayden sighed as he got up from his seat, approaching the bomb.
"My father was a mechanic, I should know how to fix things like these." Brayden continued as he got into a kneeling position, trying to see what the problem was with the latches. Everyone behind him watched on.
After fidgeting with the latches, they suddenly popped open, a rush of icy wind shooting into the jet and blasting everyone with freezing cold wind, they were wearing some thick jackets to prepare for their trip to the Himalayan Mountain Range, but the cold temperatures still found a way to creep beyond them.
This is when Alan Haas did the unthinkable..
The powerlifting soldier crept up behind Laura and quickly chopped into a pressure point on her neck, soft enough to knock her out and not kill her. Kenny didn't happen to notice thanks to the loud noise of cold air rushing into the jet while the latch doors remained open.
"Alright, everyone prepare to jump after the bomb is dro-" Kenny was easily hoisted off of his feet like a ragdoll thanks to the strength of Alan Haas, hurled headfirst into one of the metal walls with a force hard enough to daze him, leaving his vision blurry. He was on all fours as he looked to his side, seeing a boot come right at his face to knock him out cold..
Kenny's foot had gently grazed the back of Brayden's neck, the colonel turned around to see what was going on, only to be shocked when he seen that Alan Haas was looming over the downed Kenny and Laura. The reality dawned on Brayden, Alan Haas was doing as he told him way earlier on that day, he would betray them. This act of treachery deeply enraged Brayden, but the former friend of Alan Haas didn't have time to say anything, as he was booted hard in the gut, knocked out of the jet falling out of the open latch.
A loud scream of horror was heard from Brayden Snow as he fell from several thousand feet in the air, free falling out of control towards the icy grounds of the Himalayas. His fate would be unknown to the crew, he was indeed wearing his parachute, but it was uncertain whether he opened it in time before he struck the ground at a fatal velocity..
Dr. Stanton had seen it all, including the other two soldiers who took aim at him. The eyes of Dr. Stanton were wide, there was nothing he could do about it. He wasn't experienced in martial arts or any style of combat in the military none whatsoever.
"I'm your colonel, stand down, or else you all can share the same fate as Brayden." Haas warned, giving the two lesser troops a stern, hateful look.
The plane was now right above the shudder doors, the pilot pressed the button to release the bomb, a loud click was heard, and off the Oxygen Destroyer went. The latches slowly closed back up seconds later when the massive explosion was heard. It was a success, the pilots had seen that the bomb had punched a hole through the doors, causing insult to injury when it burst within the base.
Ren Serizawa managed to escape, his eyes never leaving the security cameras on the outside of the base, as soon as he seen the latch doors of the White Rodan open up, he booked it towards the open floor panels, diving back down into the depths of the Hollow Earth where his sagoth escort was waiting.
Most of the alien devices within the hangar had been decimated, all had been lost to the sagoths in this ancient hangar. However, upper level floors of the base still remained intact, such as the mysterious room that Ren stumbled across in the previous year.
Alan Haas redirected his stare towards Dr. Stanton, staring a hole right through him.
"You don't mention a single word to any of these people. As a matter of fact," Alan Haas stopped mid-sentence to take out the two lesser soldiers, the pilots heard the commotion, there wasn't anything they could possibly do, if they abandoned the cockpit, the White Rodan would be doomed.
"They're taken care of, but if I hear any words about this coming from your mouth, you'll join the dead as well. Is that understood, Dr. Stanton?" Alan Haas asked, Dr. Stanton nodded his head, his legs trembling in fear.
"That goes for both of you over there in the cockpit as well!" Alan continued to call out, Dr. Stanton decided to speak, his voice was shaky from terror.
"Wh-why are y-you, doing th-this..?" Stanton asked, trembling in a mixture of fear and from the bitter cold.
"I didn't want to be seen as a traitor by Kenny and Laura, so I knocked them out first. I got stabbed in the stomach in cold blood by Brayden way earlier today, so he did something before I did, I'm not going to sit back and let somebody like Brayden stab me in the stomach and get away with it. There was hell to pay, and hopefully he's learned his lesson to not be such a jackass, if he's even alive still.." Alan explained, taking a seat across from Stanton.
"Are you one of them? The Earth's Rightful Rule-" Stanton's question was quickly answered by Alan Haas, who rudely interrupted him.
"I'm not any of our enemies, I'm just getting even at this company after all these years. They failed to give us good protection, we've always been behind our enemies, we've been losing men and women left, right, and center. Several people have walked out on Monarch, betrayed the G-team and this squadron, and several of note worthy people have been killed by our enemies because we didn't have the right amount of protection for them, let alone security at our outposts." Alan continued to answer Stanton's concerns, he was still with Monarch, but it was no lie that the things he just done would be seen as treacherous, especially after killing the two lesser soldiers.
"You are the protection though."
Alan Haas took off his mask to reveal his deformed, mangled up face. It was a hideous sight, he didn't even look human, his face was disfigured that badly.
"Yeah, but look what it done to my face. I am on a special squadron consisting of only colonels so far, each of them is supposed to be the best martial artists in the world, perfectly conditioned after the hell we went through to get where we are." Alan growled furiously, using his ugly facial features to try and scare Dr. Stanton.
"Ford said you should expect things like this to happen when serving in a dangerous military branch like the G-Team.." Stanton continued, but Alan Haas snapped at him.
"Ford is dead, to hell with the things he said, I don't follow those rules anymore. I can rule myself now, that's another reason why I took out Kenny and Laura, because those two egotistical lovebirds think they run the shit when they aren't even the official leaders of the Skull Squadron, hell, they aren't even generals yet. Now I want to go back to Outpost 54, and forget about what has transpired so far. We bombed the hangar, we destroyed MechaGodzilla, end of story!" Alan raised his voice for the pilots to hear.
They didn't waste no time in turning around, the mission of bombing the hangar was a total success even though they didn't get within the hangar to do the investigations, they still figured that it would be out of use for a long time.
Upon arriving back at Outpost 54, Vergil Snow was anxiously awaiting the coming of his brother. When he didn't see Brayden Snow among the people leaving the jet, he began to get worried. Alan Haas put on a fake look of defeat, approaching the younger brother, he had no idea whether he lived or he died.
"Colonel Haas, where is my brother? Where is Brayden?" He asked with a nervous tone in his voice, Alan Haas sighed, placing his gloved hand on the shoulder of the smaller and younger Vergil Snow.
"Vergil, I'm sorry.. Your brother sadly perished during the siege of the hangar, there will be no doubt that a proper funeral will be given when we find his bod-" Vergil Snow didn't listen, immediately turning around and walking back towards the elevator, once he got inside, he burst into tears..
(Location: Everest)
A lump of snow began to move around, swelling upwards until Brayden Snow emerged out from beneath it. The colonel had used his parachute once he was one hundred feet above the ground, once he got within fifteen feet, the shock-wave of the blast had knocked him around in the air, tearing apart the parachute, forcing him to free fall fifteen feet down, the impact knocking him out.
As Brayden glanced around, he was surrounded by darkness, icy cold winds whipped his face and anywhere skin was exposed. He could hear loud crackling somewhere nearby, as he turned his head to face in various locations, to try and find some source of natural light thanks to the pitch darkness around him, he noticed several flashes coming from what appeared to be a mountain.
It was at that point, Brayden decided to quit the Skull Squadron. He was under and over it, now he joined Andy Williams in leaving early from the G-Team.
"Those animals will tear each other apart, and the company that I was in, will be destroyed from within.." Brayden grumbled as he approached the flickering lights.
(Early on the next day, Monster Island)
Something all night long had been troubling the great ape, Kong. Multiple visions of MechaGodzilla continue to flash through his mind telepathically, now they were reaching an all time high. In the early hours of the morning when the sun still hadn't rose up, he could feel the ground slightly trembling beneath his feet. The ape knew something was up for sure, his facial expression formed into a hateful snarl at something that was beneath the ground.
The Earth began to quake more and more, the telepathic visions continued to surge through his brain. The massive simian beast clenched his fists tightly as the ground not too far at his front began to swell upwards, seeming to flash every few seconds. Suddenly, everything went calm and silent for a few seconds until a loud booming buzz erupted from the ground, a large blue blast shoved Kong back some, his heels grinding into the dirt, creaking marks on the ground.
From where the source of the massive EMP blast exploded from, a large mechanized beast emerged. Hovering in the air a moment before landing on the ground outside of the hole, looking right towards Kong.
Kong pounded his chest and then let out a defiant roar, he'll defend the island at all costs if Godzilla wasn't going to show up. The ape then began to hear pounding feet on rocky ground, the hairs on his body lifted up, something else was coming.
Kong looked over his shoulder to see King Caesar emerge from a cave situated within a mountain, standing on the edge of the cliff before letting out a mighty roar. The guardian of what was once called Skull Island had never seen this titan before, but he seemed to be on his side.
In the distance, out in the ocean at MechaGodzilla's back, Kong could see jagged spines punch through the waters, getting closer and closer to the shores. A half smirk seemed to form on the ape's face, finally, the King of the Monsters was coming to give him and this new monster aid.
The Big G was furious, losing two consecutive fights to MechaGodzilla before this one. Being wounded by him in Savannah, and then at India, now it was time to settle the score on Monster Island.
Given new life and a boost in power thanks to Mothra, who also done the same to King Caesar, he felt confident that this third, last try against his metallic doppelganger would be it.
The great saurian king stomped his way behind MechaGodzilla, Kong stood out in the front, while King Caesar stood on the side.
