Embarrassingly I forget a whole paragraph in this chapter, must have dreamt I wrote it in, sorry. 2/5/2017 edit.

Chapter 7: Hemorrhaging

Mid-day & Unknown Day

. .

Current Location: Jungle

. .

Hurt like Hell

. .

"Girl! Chick!" Brown eyes called out as the coughs subsided as he tries to crawl and stand again. He fumbles up, wincing at the pain shooting down his backside by bat girl. Why is she so cruel, he thinks as the tears come up to his eyes. What did he do so badly to her that abuse was her only means to tell him anything?

A punch to wake him up.

A kick to alert him of danger.

A slap to the throat to shut him up.

A glare to stop him from walking.

A pinch to make him scream and be bait.

A push or flick to distract him from talking.

A bat to the groin just because.

Even a choke hold if he pushes back or continues after her sign.

No words, no kind smiles, and no panic if he is hurt. He is useless and unwanted, yet she kills everything that has come at him.

He lets his face fall back into the dirt as the thugs run towards, shouting and threatening her, but she keeps going. Forgetting him, not waiting for him to follow and protect him for the monsters here. She doesn't care; she only wants to help herself. She is a bitch in all sense of the word.

Morning & Unknown Day

. .

Current Location: Jungle

. .

Brawling Bat

. .

Just that morning, before wandering into the open field. Before that bird monster came at us and those scary guys came around, we were marching through the jungle.

"Woman please slow down!" I tried again pleading with her; my body was not ready for another day of fear and running. I just wanted some good sleep. I sped forward to her and latched myself around her torso as she turned away from me.

I was not a match to her, a tall baby face guy then one punch to my sore stomach and I was done for, we were going or I get left behind.

"Chiiiicck!" I moan cradling my abused abs, why does she keep doing that! Dirt, vines, and branches sound under her feet as she moves on into the jungle, so I get up and follow miserably.

"…" on my feet and with my stomach churning I see her standing ahead with her back facing me and her bat armed. She is fuming but waiting for me.

I try smiling though my stomach throbs and I frown. She is nice in her subtle actions, but a demon still.

.

.

I really don't know anything about the batgirl. She was odd looking when we met, white clothes stained and no way could I see her eyes through the cracked goggle lenses. Her bright hair was clean of killing, but dirt ridden. Bundled into a braid I know it's colored a fake yellow and I've seen the dark roots starting to peek out at her scalp. What an odd color to dye hair, neon yellow, a traffic light of attention, yet she doesn't want attention.

She spoke in slang and a lot confusing threats. I was okay with that because now she will only nod and then the sudden hits as I relayed my happiness in seeing another sane human. I have run so much and lost so many of my friends to the things out here, why wasn't she happy too? Another living person and she treats me like shit.

Now in her white clothes stained with dark splatters and stripes of moldy green, I tell her to clean; I think about using branches to wipe away the grotesque pieces hanging onto her, but she glares back at my suggestion and lets it stay on. The girl is beyond disturbed if she'll leave flesh, blood, and dirt on her as we trek on.

The smell is growing unbearable as I am stuck behind following that corpse smell. I've vomited already from it and have to suffer without food till we stopped at nightfall. Still my stomach can't handle if her smell remains.

I know she is young, the nape of her neck tinted red with sunburn and lean muscle quivers as she fumes. I asked for her age or school rank, but she shook her head and shrugged. Maybe she doesn't understand me or is foreign actually.

Still she isn't a child or a teenager like me, her violence is brutal, and not hesitated, planned when she uses me as bait and slaughters the monsters cornering me. She doesn't moan and groan after all the walking, the sweating dripping off her forehead or when her stomach rumbles louder than my own. She is a solider, but where would she have become a solider at such a young age, I haven't a clue. It's creepy and a bit unnerving each time I get trapped because of her plans, if it is a plan actually.

Still she was my guide, a demon one that is, but even more a girl who willing saved me and let me still follow her afterward. Hits and slaps hurt like hell but she doesn't say she wants me gone, or be cruel and leave in the night.

I know she would slap me, or worse if I tried helping, but I just don't want her to get sick or lose herself in this entire creepy island. She is frightening but she is a young girl, after all, she has fear somewhere in her mask of silence.

.

.

.

Trekking the jungle's never ending terrain I'd started to stumble behind with the chick's pace and then she was out of sight. I freaked but clamped my hand over my mouth and ran forward.

She had stopped far ahead into the trees crouched behind a brush, stupidity I knocked into her before I realize I was still running to her still.

She grumbled and elbowed me off her; I cringed and let a faint whine come out as I went down. A demon she is, a girl I'm not sure of yet.

"Watch it brown eyes, cat thing is here." I freeze, my whine cut short I stare up with eyes wide open to the tree covered sky. I hear my heart, the insects chirping and beyond the bush I hear a growling. Batgirl puts a hand to her weapon and rises up slowly backing away into the forest again. Still it's too late, the saber tooth comes into our area.

I bolt up a tree, the monster just under my feet as I'm pulling higher and higher myself till only I can stand in the tree; the teeth gnawing on the truck. I shake and grip the branches tighter as the beast threatens me. Hissing before pouncing off at the girl, I call out but she doesn't look to me. She swishes and swaying between its strikes, slashing air and bark flying at the claws impact. She knows what to do, but it's just a dance a motion to be on defense and no time to do damage, she's gonna get pinned.

I take a branch and toss it out, and then another after another till the cat is clawing at the tree again, slashing up and shaking the whole truck while I hold on for dear life. I see her, a white blur spiriting off into another tree far from me. Damn it is she just going to sit there and wait for me to fall out of here?

"Chick!" I holler over, surprised at the crack in my scream. I'm on a constant ride of fear for when she ditches me. Kicks me to the monsters and leaves me to die, I so afraid for when that happens, but I'm not ready yet. I don't know her name.

The beast lunges up and horrifying grabs higher than before, I scream and jump off the branch. I didn't want to be shredded alive, I rather break my neck here and now.

Branches snapping, smacking against my body going down and the monster roaring and hacking still too mad crazy to notice my falling form just yet. It can have me dead but no way will I be screaming for its pleasure.

White covers my view.

It's her, but I couldn't turn to see her as a jolting force makes my body lift back up and slam into the soft vegetation. I scream and arch up as the black fog floods my view.

"Stay Brown eyes," She's panting, breathing heavily on me as she gulps loudly. "Down now." A hand goes over my heart and then she is gone again with only her advice catching my ears.

The roars booming before is moving away, low and threaten as the chick is blazing pass monster. No fear, no time to stop and be scared as she meets the mad beast.

I hold my breath, aching and wanting to cry out to the throbbing pain rising up on my back. My heart's out of time beating too fast for my lungs to compete with and I start to shake.

What if she dies?

What if I'm broken? Would she help me still? Use me as bait?

What if she comes back this way and the beast sees me?

What if this is a plan and now I am alone?

At that I pause.

My air shallow and my heart coming to a steady thumping, but I can feel the cold chill as I think of it still. I really do not know when the end is and when she will be there, she is a ghost to me.

She is a monster and a protector, a silent girl waiting for me to hurry up to her, a person and a human being still. Still I don't know her and the mind she holds since we have met. Only days to see a person so odd and strong turning into this survivor cloaked in blood standing before me, but now she is out of sight.

Girl, please don't do this to me. I need you here, I can't do this!

The blubbering and the panic is forced out faster, Where was she, is she coming back, she can't die, can't leave me!

"Brown."

I gasp, opening my eyes to her hovering over me. Light peeking out from the treetops cast such an angelic color upon her tattered self.

"Brown, hey!"

A golden halo across her head and an angry scowl. She isn't an angel but she is here now and that counts enough to say she isn't a demon or monster, but still closes to a demon.

"Chick, you, you!" I shake and stare at her mouth speaking still but I just look at her with such a joy blooming back in my heart that I can't hide my disgusting snot ridden tears from her as she pulls me up.

"You, yo-you cam-came back!" My face wet and gross with the snot spilling out as I'm gasping out words.

She grabs my ear, twisting it inwards bending me down to her face. Blood stained and her eyes scanning me.

She tugs my hand, no words but I guess she means for me to hurry the fuck up or have my shins kicked.

"Ok, okay chick." I grip her hand more and she sends me stumbling up with a slow tug up. I falter up feeling my legs wobble and tingle under my weight.

Again, she grabs me, but by taking my shredded tie between her fingers and walking faster than for me to not be choked.

"Ughker! Chi-tu!" My god this girl in crazy! I pull at my tie and she lets it slip away from her but keeps on forward. So I sigh and hack before picking up my feet to her again.

"ChhhiiCK!."Still she doesn't response so I'm left to follow her down the torn up forest.

.

.

Dirt thrown, plowed and slashed over by claws, red painting the trees we pass by now, but the worse part of the scene is no saber tooth in sight.

"Did you maul the thing?" She kicks at the rocks around her feet. She nods and tugs me pass the area obviously the fighting area for her and the beast.

The sound of water perks my attention just then.

"A river?" She clicks her tongue and takes a hard right towards the watery sound.

"He-Hey!" I put my hand out to catch her but the branch slap back before I see her vanish away. I count it 8 seconds is the danger time if she doesn't make a sound.

Screw it, 8!

I jump through, shutting my eyes tight, and roar out for the chick. All I get is a punch to the gut.

"Uguf!" My eyes wide as when I am in fear I see it all before us.

Beauty and stillness.

Before us lay not just a river, but also a lake so wide and open it looks like a mini ocean in this jungle. I grunt and hunch over with the threat of hurling coming up. Her feet move ahead and then down a rocky path.

"Hey!" I reach out a hand, as my stomach whirls, but she keeps going. I sigh and give up the fight with my aching stomach.

I gaze up amazed at this wonderful place.

Green vegetation sprawled liked dripping green paint on the water's edge and from where I stand now I'm on a hill or sort of cliff hanging over the lake. The water blue and shining with the sun hanging overhead, the openness, and silence I'm hearing as I watch the water sway and be peaceful.

"Chick did you find this?" I find her below the cliff side dipping her bare feet in the water, breaking the water's mirror image and she shrugs at my question.

"What does that mean? You just follow the sound and hoped this was here?" Again I ask, pushing to get something out of her, now that things are calm and no predator coming after us. She doesn't say a thing and then she's going head first into the water. Plunging deep and faded into the blue with only her hair catching my attention still.

How long was I out for? Did I pass out hitting the ground as she fought off the saber?

I don't get it, she ran off and then what felt like only a minute alone she was back and taking to this watery beauty. Did she already pass by this and wanted me to come with? Did she even kill the monster or lose it in the chase? A chill runs down my spine. Nothing but the water sounds in the air.

"Uuugh, please tell me you at least killed the thing, come on chick." I hang my head feeling creeped out and yet relaxed here. I just wanted to relax and sleep, is that so hard to ask for?

Water splashing and bubbles coming up she breaks the surface. Gasping for air as her face drips away the grime cloaking her. Finally, all the horrid, nasty filth drips off her now leaving her looking like a normal girl, well for the situation at hand. Tattered, stained and marked with the events that have happened to us but not bloodily or disgusting. Probably enough to have me not hurling at her smell.

I find my lips formed into a smile, the first in such a long time now as I watch her after that graceful dive in. She flops around the water, barely staying above the water as if it was her first time swimming.

"Hah, what's wrong? Can't swim?" I shout out to her, chuckling as she looks up with her mouth making bubbles under the surface and a scowl in her eyes.

I move forward to the edge, a breeze picking up and my heart pounds with excitement. My little joy right, that daring feeling to jump in, just as if I was home still playing at the pool with friends, I laugh and bring myself to very edge but stop right before letting myself go over.

A scream curdles out my lungs.

Water sloshes in my ears. I cry out and my back spikes with pain. Then she is in front of me bat ready and scanning the cliff side.

I see the sky. Maybe I should I just keep looking up and hope it wasn't what I had just seen down there.

"What?" Batgirl is on me, hands on my shoulders and gripping tightly. Her mouth in a grimace snaps at me for once with a word actually.

"What… THAT!" I shove her off my arms, her nails drag off my flesh and I crawl back wheezing with this sight coming back to my mind.

That saber tooth.

That monster who almost had me as its lunch, rip me open and let me die scared is dead right there.

Under the cliff, stabbed through the chest and –

Gagging my stomach releases my thoughts from the murderous scene and forces out my meager fill of food yet again. Damn it.

"…" Wrenching back as the acid settles in my throat I curl up on the ground.

Her hand dripping water down my back pats me softly, a gentle touch so foreign feeling. It helps my stomach a little but I can't hold back the mother load coming up still.

"...urggh." I wipe my lips, chapped and bitter tasting now as her hand slides away.

A package of neon colored candies fall into my lap.

"...Huh!" I look probably shocked or just appalled but she sigh and speaks still.

"Eat it, something good before you vomit acid." I just shake my head. What the fuck!

"That thing is in- by the beauti- Water now!" Croaking I shot out my hand, hoping to god she realize how sick that is bringing me here with that dead thing.

She hisses or growls, something feral and rumbling from her throat.

"I'd tried to do nice, and what now you Brown eyes!" She lifts her leg, ready to knee me badly.

"Wait please!" The moment never comes to strike, she holds it there furious and sounding feral while looking at me.

"..." The glare turns to a frown and the leg drops hard beside my leg. My hand cups my groin recalling the pain she could deal out. She stomps off muttering and dragging alongside herself the stained bat.

Monster. She is a monster.

Forget you, Coward

. .

Again trekking the terrain before the sun sets lose its hoards of nighttime creatures. The chick continues to feed me from that neon candy package and I start to realize a big question on why we ate so much of beast flesh and plant fibers all this time.

"..." I try to stare her down with the hopes of getting her to fall over her own feet for a change.

"More?" She looks back offering the candy and I fall over reaching for more candy.

I taste the dirt and sigh out as I get back up, the bag of candy still outreached to me.

"Oh?" I widen my eyes and kinda of shook my head at the sight, she only crinkled the bag and stared at me.

"N-o mooore?" She slurred the words with a sneer and I grab a few more little piece before she rips the precious treats away for good.

Its still sweet and bitter tasted as I plop the last few in my mouth, she moves on at a faster pace but I let her go without complaint.

Maybe she is getting soft on me. I watch her navigate the layers of plants and press on after her before she forgets me altogether.

She spots a little lizard, sort of lizard-thing, it croaks and leaps over and around us with gliding wings spread out. Batgirl stops and follows it motions back and forth as its croaking gets more desperate.

"Chick is it trying to call for backup?" I shift off to a huddle of prickly palm fan plants to hide my head in case it goes for my ears.

"Hmm.." She looks at me, I think, the leaves cover most of my view as she stands like a target for the shrieking lizard-bat thing.

It sails over her head a little too closer to breeze right on by and its tail smacks her off balance.

"Oaf!" She goes down to a knee and covers her neck as if she knew its next move. The lizard changed its flight and rushes right back for her back.

Yet it ends up a red splat across the palm fan hiding spot of mine.

"Oh goooood!" I fall back catching a bit of tail or head side slapping me in the face.

"Gross! Gross!" I drag myself out the greenery and hold in the lurching of my too tired stomach. Why did she have to kill it my way?!

I get up kicking at my feet and flinging my arms every which way. A cold jagged point touches my forehead.

"Keep it." She nods and I hold out my hands for the rock she careless jabbed my head with, even better she left it all covered in lizard blood.

"Chick this is sick." I give her a puckered face but she just flicks back at me more bloodily bits and move along.

A monster. A deranged and powerful monster I put my trust into.

.

.

The jungle had finally opened to a clearing, grass and trickling water over a hillside made a peaceful scenery, finally a cool breeze not reeking of sweat or decomposing plants. I raised my arms and feel the sweat drenching me move up my arm quickly.

"ugh.." I pulled off my jacket with the last of my buttons popping off then. The chick moves around me and slaps my back, a squishy splat kind of sound rings out and I cringe at it. She shakes her hand off and plops down by the trickling water and shoves her feet in the water for a moment before another thing interests her more. A dead, ripped apart bird monster just lying about. All the heat and walk through the jungle must have made me grow calm to this sight now, just for a moment.

A dead, ripped apart bird monster just lying about. Eyes gouged out till the nerves limply dangled out the socket and blood crusted up the grass all around it. The neck was torn nearly off and displayed the unfinished work of ripping its tongue out the throat. All the heat and walking through the jungle must have made me grow calm to this sight now, just for a moment.

"..no." I felt a relaxed at the dead creature but then I blinked and my thoughts raced forward with fear as she stepped towards it. Is it alive still?

She touches its feathers, surprisingly soft and-and presses her head to its chest.

"Ch-chick!" I couldn't move but gasp at her being so calm at it.

"It is gone." Her back falls heavy like she is disappointed in its passing before she found it.

"Well that is.."

She rips off a chunk of feathers and I see darken mush fly off the body.

I turn away quick gagging at the image just burned into me.

I hear it still the wet plop and the second flesh tearing off with more strain on her part but with a bigger gooey sound smacking the dirt.

I press my hands to my ears and jog off to the hill as she flings pieces every which way.

"You've lost your mind chick!" I yell back as I reach the top and close my eyes. I sit down chanting away till she stops ripping and tearing the bird. My mind wanders as I try to drone out the muffled sounds she is racking up.

.

.

Brown eyes squirms and shrieks as he runs up the grassy hill, flipping out over nothing.

I shrug at his comments and continue to pluck off the feathers, though the body has decomposed, quite a bit, it pulls even the meat off.

Damn can't even eat it now, but the bones or feather could be of use, Brown eyes keeps dropping the stab sticks I give him.

What good is an extra hand if he won't get a weapon to fight with.

.

.

My eyes open and I feel cooled off, my face pressed to the grass and my hands still held against my ears.

I fell asleep. No more sounds of the flesh or ripping could be heard but another sound came up.

A metal clink, a holler of swears and a huffing of breath come through the open meadow beyond the jungle.

"Chick hear that.." I turn back to her, regrettable as she was still obsessively prodding the lifeless bird's head to hack off shards of the beak. Every creature she finds or slaughters is a new toy for her, like an experiment or a child ripping the stuffing out of bear to find its heart.

"Chick, listen.." Again she doesn't heed me and I start to drum my fingers, I hear something coming, but it's more human-like sounds. Maybe another person, good or bad but if they see her like this...

I fumble down the hill and call her out again though as I reach her and she looks finally I hear noises behind me.

"Yarai, you walk so fast." Past the corpse's body and the hillside, a woman appears out of breath and tall guy stands in front of her.

Oh shit...

Yarai Koichi, the punk who dismantled through guards in Guam! That kid is here!

I freeze up and catch eyes with the woman and Yarai but the girl still hovers over the bird.

"Ah! Yarai man wait up!"

"Stupid hills!"

More voices come over the hill, three more thugs to group on the hill.

"Whoa man what - fuck happened here!"

The buzzcut guy shouted out and the woman turned back to him disciplining him for the words.

A teacher then?

"..." Yarai looked to the, well remains of the bird and back to me and the chick. I looked over the guys and felt trouble brewing.

I hope the chick understands this could be bad staying here with them, but she doesn't look to me or the guys, just at the bird and the piles of bird carcass cleaned up so far.

"Let's go." I blink and already she is off the jungle again, but the guys call out before she vanishes into the brushes.

"Hey talking here!? Fuck you going, what happened here!" Now the other two pipe up and the woman can't stop them from hollering away. Yarai walks down to the mess of the bird. The chick turns back with a heated look.

"You were hoping to cook it right?" The woman waved a hand to me and slid down the hill.

I shrug back with an evasive look. She tilts her head trying to catch my eyes, but if I look at her I will have to see Yarai's eyes as well.

"Hey you wanna fight huh!" I lift my arms and shake them but I see the thugs coming down the hill have their sight set on the chick holding her bat at the ready.

Not now chick. These guys are trouble.

"..." She puts herself beside me and now everyone was face to face with an itch to let some frustrations out of someone.

I do my very best to break the tension.

"Look you guys, I see.." I drop to the ground when my hands outstretched and my back flat as I bow deeply to get them to see we mean no harm.

I drop to the ground when my hands outstretched and my back flat as I bow deeply to get them to see we mean no harm.

Yet I see my face hit the dirt and water faster than I can speak.

"Oh shit!" I hear it and feel my face sting as the dirt rips at my cheek and eyes got blurry in the pain.

"oh my goodness, are you okay?" I feel hands on my shoulders and I see the world come back from the dirt.

A foot slams into my back and I lose air. I arch back in pain. I shove off the hands holding my shoulders and see the chick standing over me with goggles push off one of her eyes.

Hatred burns in the bloodshot iris.

"You fucki' coward.." Menacing and growling out the words before she stomps away with her bat slicing the grass and slashing bark.

"Hey get back here!"

"We aint done talking!"

I grab my back aching at her kick and the ground whirls and flickers out of view.

I see her storming off, without me...

Wait for me. She keeps going and yelling out 'coward' again till the jungle swallows her out of view.

What If Betrayals

. .

A dwindling fire flickers shadows between the stone silence of Yarai's group at listening to Brown eyes mumblings and drawing in the dirt as Kurusu-sensei tried to engage him in a conversation.

.

.

The sun had set, Brown Eyes waited for the yellow hair to come back for him, yet she never looked back and he fell further into the reality of what if she left him. Not alone, given the strange new team of students, he barely remembers from 4 classes down. The grey-eyed blonde only watched as he waited for her to come back, but the lady beckoned him to follow them still. There was a moment to hesitate following with them, what if she was waiting for him to follow.

What if she was waiting for morning. Still the what ifs can into his mind but he knew she wouldn't be looking for him.

She wasn't coming back.

"Keekee, man the dude pissed her off gooood!Kahah!" Again the thugs mocked him but still had kept mostly quiet since they built the fire for the taller guy with grey eyes. I guess he is the leader or just scared the others to do his work.

"You can always circle back here tomorrow," Her glasses shine over his eyes but he squints past them to see the sincere worry over the violent walk out bat girl left him in. "come with us for the night and I'll bring you back here bright and early, Okay?"

.

.

"What is your name?" The lady broke the silence again and embers flickered out the fire pit toward brown eyes' drawings. A blossoming flower over a cloudy hill.

"My name is Yu!" Brown eyes, or now Yu, says fearfully in his introduction as the thug, Mikoshiba, sneers with a toothpick wedged between his teeth. A shiver comes over him but Yu sighs it off as if it was nothing but a tired yawn now.

Yarai tilts his head, but the unreadable gaze remains. The woman smiles and gives Yu a well-meant welcome to the group. However, she is naive and trying with the delinquent boys she does seem to give Yu a familiar vibe of true happiness. Yu smiles back and thanks her, as well as ask for her name.

"Oh I'm Kurusu Motoko," She shakes his hand, sweaty with fear still and calloused with the hard days of working with batgirl. "but call me Kurusu-sensei alright." She gives him a stern stare as she tells him this. Yu bites at his lip, praying to god he doesn't bust up laughing right now.

The fire keeps on warming Yu's bruised body and then with all the momentum finally hitting his body he teeters back and forth passing out and conversating with Kurusu-sensei on something of Guam and smart remarks coming from Ono and Itoh. Their grumbled laughs haunt his fading conscious.

Crawling Hate

You find your place in the world very quickly when all around people decide and blame.

That itch beneath your skin starts to boil and feel like teeth on you, begging for some relief, but whatever you do you cannot heal it with human touch anymore. That only stings, rips you to shreds and makes you think.

Think of all that has happened and that which will never ever occurred now that life has turned against you and destroyed what was once you.

Brown eyes is a man, he should be up tall and being aggressive to the other men.

Yet he bowed, showed his back to the coward and let me see how spineless he is, I cannot save a man that is so pitiful here in this thorny place. He will bring me to my grave for no reason but stupid, selfless human emotions corrupting my goal of escape.

I need to leave, need to be at the end of my time.

"Hate, hate, I hate it!" I am stomping, slashing the trees, hacking at the bark and making more sounds then the monsters do when they feast upon their prey.

Maybe it is not about Brown eyes I'm losing my temper with, maybe he just makes me think.

Think of Satomi, her weak body tumbling about, but then she was not weak. I made it seem like she was weak. It makes me think Brown eyes is the same, that I am making him weak, creating this world where everyone else is useless and a threat to my survive, that I'll have to save them if I let them join me.

He's making me think.

It burns in me, rattles, and yet makes me hope.

A glimmer of warmth in me and I cannot believe what I feel in all this rage. That somehow there is hope still, I breathe and walk. Stand my guard and fight off these monsters as Brown eyes trembles back but has given me hope, a reason besides dying so soon now.

I can live and win.

I don't have to die by The Blessing hands; I can win against them when I return.

I don't have to stop living; I can keep my promise to my Dono.

I stare at the ground, my hand aching with my grip and the bat churning about the pinken insides of one of those bird creatures. I stare and heave, as the air feels so thick now. I slash out the bat leaving the metal and bladed edge a slimy texture dripping off beaded red drops the grass.

I have to save others, I don't have to die.

My death can wait.

"Just Shut'dya!" Again the other voice commands, silencing everything but my footsteps creeping closer, my hands at the ready to push past the last of the plant shaped obstacles, and I see it there.

Hell on Earth.
