Walking, we were walking down aged stairs. The steps were echoing around the room, Zelda was next to me breathing heavily. Every breath was an echo from our bodies, the echos were intimidating for us. Despite this, we descended further into the darkness. As my foot reached the final step, the hand signal triggered to tell her it was the end of the staircase. As we walked on I sensed something, I pulled out my sword and attacked the threats. I don't know how she reacted but we carried on down the winding tunnel, I sensed something again but this time after the final swipe. A pain shot through my nerves and into my hand causing me to drop my sword, I didn't know how to make it stop. I didn't want to shock Zelda so I tried hiding it as best as I could. No luck she spotted how swollen and bent it was, she put something on my hand which I had no warning of. We sat down for a while after that ,I tried to get the uncomfortable thing off my hand but got caught trying. She told me that it was to keep my hand in a more comfortable position until we can get help. I nodded and attempted to pick up my sword and yet, it only fell to the ground. We resumed walking after that , the pain was niggling me as we walked on. I picked up on the fact that she was over thinking about my injury. I attempted to single handedly sign that I was ok and no need to worry, she seemed to have calmed down after that. We carried on walking for what seemed like forever.

After ages we finally reached the dead end, only to be met by monsters. I needed to protect her because I'm her appointed knight, I picked up my sword and fought all the hordes of monsters one on one. I instantly regretted that decision. Instead of only hand pain, my whole right arm was swelling in pain. Zelda noticed and put my hand into a thing that went around my neck. She called it a sling, I was baffled by the name but it is what it is. After, a spirit appeared and explained all the things that we had done. After a conversation with her it turned to face me, it asked me about my pain. Yet I never replied as usual since my entire right hand was unusable due to my injury, he talked to her for a while. Then he mentioned my past, how I made a promise to myself to stay silent after my father died and sister went missing. How I always replay the same event in my head over and over again. Yet I never told anyone about it. She froze in the spot and cried, I went over to try and soothe her as much as possible. She hugged me and stated that she was so sorry about the old times where she would not consider my feelings only her own. Then she was on me putting her entire weight on my right arm. I screamed to signal her to get off because it was hurting a huge amount. She apologised , her voice full of concern. I forgave her as we carried on back home.

The journey was relatively short because she wanted to get me medical help as soon as she could. I found out I could not do anything for 6 months at least, Zelda blamed me for picking up my sword when I knew it would only strain further. I didn't know better, if I didn't we would have all died. Sneaking out to practice sword fights was almost impossible due to the fact that she always ended up dragging me back in again. Even her father could vouch for that, this was my life for the next 6 months. The journey was dangerous but at least she was not alone.
