Over in England, hundreds of miles away from the island, in the wizarding/muggle town of Ottery St Catchpole, in the area of Devon, hidden behind wards is a impressive manor, the colors a calm neutral combination of gray, silver, and white. Upon the second floor, through series of hallways and corners to a young wizard's room, teenager vibes as there's signs of Quidditich equipment, autographed pictures of women/men, Hufflepuff collectibles.
In the bed is a young man of lanky standards, having soft grey eyes and dark brown hair, and his name is Cedric Rowan Diggory, son of Amos Sebastian Diggory and Catherine Esther Diggory nee Bates, and right now, he's screaming in horror and shock after a intense view of his soul mate's memories upon the first year or so.
(Cedric's P.O.V.)
I looked in all directions, panting heavily as I recognized my room, and I tried to settle down as my heart is beating rapidly, barely hearing the familiar pop of a house elf.
"Master Cedric, you okay?", Eddy's voice sounded out, and I looked over to see Eddy in his neat appearance, wearing a silvery-purple outfit, and I managed to croak out, "Is Mum still up? I think I need to talk to her...".
Eddy nodded, "I be getting Mistress Catty!". I then grabbed my wand, went to turn on the lantern with a spell, and I sighed heavily, remembering the very last memory. I can't believe I just saw Voldemort and that fatal spell...Gods...the pain, the shock...No wonder how Potter had survived...Mrs. Lily Potter sure was one of the smartest witches...just like Mum and Dad said...
I then heard a pop, and I heard Mum's voice, "I was in the library when I heard you scream. Thank god Eddy popped me over. Are you okay, Cedric?".
I exhaled softly as I then glanced at her, seeing a copy of my eyes in her, the shine of golden yellow in her hair, and she's clearly in sleeping robes. I blinked slowly as I tried to think how to start, and I heard Mum ask Eddy, "Eddy, hot chocolate, please.".
Eddy's voice echoed, "Yes, Mistress Catty!", and then I heard another pop, recognizing that he had popped out to the kitchen. I felt my bed sink upon the corner, and I looked up to see her sitting upon it, a concerned look on her face as she gazed at me, "How bad was it?".
I exhaled heavily, "It wasn't bad until the end...It was incredible as it was like a Pensive except that I was actually another person...Shapes were blurred in the beginning until they got clearer later on, same thing for the colors and voices...".
Mum encouraged me softly, "It's okay, keep going. I am here.". I nodded softly with a weak smile, appreciating her support. "It wasn't until they got clearer, I was then able to recognize them...It was the Potters. Harry's mum and dad...".
Mum gasped softly, "Lily and James?". I nodded weakly, "Yeah. Mr. Potter really looked like Harry except for the eyes and height...Mrs. Potter...No wonder why people say that Harry got his mother's eyes...You were right in those stories...".
"They were being hunted by that monster...forced into hiding...It was the Fidelius...Sirius Black wasn't the secret keeper...Peter Pettigrew was...", I explained roughly, barely hearing a small pop as a tray of mugs full of delicious hot chocolate appeared upon a section of smooth sheets, and I picked up mine in my hands, seeing Mum nod with a frustrated look.
"I knew there was something funny going on back in that year...Pettigrew must have been a Death Eater as to betray the Potters like that. Black and Potter were bonded as blood brothers...And for Black to be alive after a supposed betraying, he must have done the godfather ritual as he was known as godfather to Harry Potter...", murmured Mum in thought and surprise.
I blinked softly in shock, "Wait, are you saying if Black hadn't betrayed like that, he would have raised Harry, and he would have never been in the muggle world then?". Mum nodded, "That's right. You said that he was practically muggle-raised, and he didn't know the rules of wizarding society.
I furrowed my lips in thought, "But Dumbledore said that Harry was somewhere safe...he never said anything about the muggle world...". Mum narrowed her eyes lightly, "Dumbledore lied to us all...Anything else you saw in your dream?
I nodded roughly, "I actually experienced the night they were killed...by that monster...I didn't see James Potter's death, but I heard it from the nursery where Lily was as well...She did some kind of ritual, and I recognized them as runes. They were literally upon the crib, the floor, and my body...Not exactly my body, but...".
Mum gasped out loud, "You were seeing through the eyes of Harry Potter! Wait, you saw the monster...". I grimaced with a shudder, "Yeah...There was a explosion at the door, and I was in Lily's arms, hearing her scream of terror, and then I was put down into the crib...Gods...it was the last time she had ever spoke to Harry. She then confronted him, protesting, pleading that Harry be left alone about three times...Through for some reason, the monster was calm, politely asking Lily to move aside three times as well...".
I then exhaled slowly, albeit shakily as I continued on, "He then did the killing curse on her...Gods, her scream, I still remember it...She fell...Then I saw him...Those red eyes...there was nothing in them...He then did some speech, saying that Harry is the end for him...One lives while the other doesn't...He sounded angry...saying that he is to kill Harry before Harry does kill him...".
Mum only stared with horror and fear, and I panted a bit heavily now, "It was the first time I actually felt genuine pain...When he cast the spell at me, there was a shield, an explosion, and so much pain...It didn't even compare to other times I was in pain...It practically felt so real, feeling the core being so weak and torn apart everywhere as I and Harry's screams actually echoed together...Fear, confusion, shock...".
Mum exhaled sharply, "By Merlin...He would have died from all of that if it wasn't for the ritual...the shield...And you saw all of that?". I nodded weakly, "And felt it too...".
Mum's eyes then widened her eyes as she then seemed to realize something, "Oh, shit...His birthday is next month...Cedric, he's coming into his third year, correct?". I blinked in confusion, "Yeah, he is.", before I widened my eyes in shock, "But it was supposed to work for me when I was turning 13!".
Mum exhaled in thought, "Perhaps Mother Magic wanted him to have a chance at the rare opportunity as he's younger than you...I would never imagine that he would be your soul mate...But it makes some sense...He's powerful as you, humble like you, loyal to his friends like you are, and much more...You and Harry truly have a soul bond...".
I exhaled slowly, "But what if he's rejecting me? You said that if I get rejected, I would always feel like there's something missing in me, and I would never be complete.".
Mum smiled reassuringly, "You clearly saw his first year of memories tonight, and that means he's truly considering this chance. Cedric, you said that Harry is open-minded. I am sure he will like you as he dreams of your memories. After all, it's a two-way trip.".
I blinked at her confidence, and then smiled warmly, "You're right, Mum, and I know I will fall in love with Harry once I get to know him fully, emotionally, mentally, and physically...I just hope Dad doesn't go into drama king mode...", hearing a amused chuckle from Mum, and she knows what I am talking about.
Still, it's wicked cool that I am one of a pair, a soul bond of two soul mates, and it will be incredible. I wonder if I will meet him in Diagon Alley on his birthday or see him on the train...Harry James Potter and Cedric Rowan Diggory...That sounds nice on the tongue too.
