(No P.O.V.) - September 1st, 1993
It's about a hour before 11 o'clock at King Cross, Platform 9 3/4, and one Harry James Potter was glad to see that today was reported to be pretty clear today, through it's going to be cloudy tonight once the Hogwarts Express arrives at Hogsmeade Station.
He's glad to see that there is just a few groups of students and parents around, not too crazy through he had a feeling that it will be far more crowded by the half hour or so. Smiling as he walked to the train, Hedwig on his shoulder, carrying his new trunk which is feather-weight, tamper-proof, and fire-proof thanks to the spells on it, and looking around as he entered the hallways between compartments.
He then blinked as he felt a strong tug at his core, and it was coming from somewhere on the train. He realized that his soul mate is already here, and he immediately followed the tug to a compartment near the end of the train, seeing that the door is open.
A Cedric Rowan Diggory is already looking up in surprise, reading one of his school books, and he exhaled softly, "Harry?". Harry blinked in amazement, "Cedric? You're my soul mate?".
Cedric smiled shyly, "It seems like it...Could you forgive me for seeing your memories? I...know everything...". Harry grinned softly, "Cedric, you clearly saw me as I am, not the Boy-Who-Lived or anything else...Just Harry...".
Cedric chuckled warmly, "Does that mean you accept me? I couldn't imagine being alone..", drawling with a soft sigh. Harry got into the compartment, closing the doors, "Cedric, I came to know you through my dreams, and I really want to get to know you more...It's just that I had never been in a relationship before...".
Cedric nodded, "I can understand that, and before you hear anything, I never was fond of Cho Chang. She's just a friend, a overenthusiastic friend sometimes at that, and I'd rather get to know you instead.", smiling widely with a hand outwards.
Harry gave a big smile at that, giving out his hand to take Cedric's hand, feeling the tug get really strong as his core vibrated quite energetic, and he knew Cedric must be feeling the same as the soul bond made it so.
The minute both hands touched, there was a bright golden flash which enveloped the entire train from the compartment through the windows, and every student, teacher, and parent saw it for a few moments before it disappeared.
Little did they know was that two soul mates truly found each other, and from that day on, everything was to change for the good, and two certain dark lords won't expect the powerful effects of it until it's too late.
