It had been nearly four months since Owen called off his and Teddy's quick but beautifully intimate wedding at their home, nearly four months since Owen's heart shattered into one million pieces as he listened to his fiancée climax in the arms of another man, and nearly four months since he found out Teddy was pregnant, assumingely with another mans baby.

Owen couldn't handle that Teddy cheated on him and with all people, Tom, so he left. He couldn't even bare to speak to her, despite Teddy trying to explain herself. He was at a loss, he just couldn't wrap his mind around it all. For awhile he stayed at his moms house, but when Teddy told him she was pregnant he couldn't even look at her, so he impulsively agreed to rent out a trailer, similar to Derek's old one, up in the mountains.

He was now over an hour away from his mom, babies and work. However he and Teddy took sabbaticals after everything went down. They needed a break from their chaotic work and home situations. He hated being so far away from his kids, especially his baby girl Allison who was only 8 months old, but he couldn't think straight, he needed this time and space to regain his thought process.

When Owen went to see the kids, only a few times a week, they were always at his moms, he refused to go to the house, he refused to see Teddy. The kids never went back with Owen because it would be too confusing for them at such a young age. But nothing was easy. Leo had a hard time in the morning, always asking for "da-da" right away, Teddy would fight back tears trying to explain to him that his daddy wasn't going to be there in the mornings, maybe forever. That thought tore her apart each and every time, she didn't know how to live without Owen. At night, Allison cried for her daddy, as he always snuggled her and played guitar to put her to sleep and Teddy cried seeing her baby girl, who looked just like Owen, crying for her daddy and she cried for the love of her life who seemed to never be coming back.

On top of everything, she was pregnant. A basket of hormones and emotions all over again. She couldn't believe she allowed herself to get pregnant unexpectedly again, especially now. However, she was happy, she always wanted three kids but the timing was incredibly poor. Thankfully, she had no doubt who the father of this baby was. Despite telling Owen when and where she got pregnant (the spontaneous supply closet love making) Owen didn't believe her. It crushed her.

When Teddy hit 16 weeks of pregnancy, Evelyn accompanied her to her OBGYN appointment while the kids played with their friends in daycare. Sure, Evelyn was furious with Teddy when she found out the truth on what had taken place between Teddy and Tom, but she knew Teddy, and once Teddy broke down and shared what she had been going through, Evelyn understood and most importantly, forgave her. She loved her, and she knew Teddy loved Owen more than anything. Evelyn encouraged Teddy to seek a therapist and when she found out she was pregnant, she swore to be by her side every step of the way whether Owen was around or not, even though Evelyn being Evelyn swore that he'd come around eventually and everything would work itself out because, they're Teddy and Owen.

Teddy laid back and exhaled as she lifted her shirt exposing her tiny baby bump. Evelyn smiled and teared up at the site. Carina smiled sweetly and made small talk as she prepared her equipment and squeezed cold gel on the protrusion.

"Feeling okay today Dr. Altman?" She asked as she noticed Teddys quiet and sad demeanor.

"Yeah, yeah. Its just-do you think we could run a paternity test?" She asked uncomfortably.

"Oh, sure-but I thought you said-?" Carina asked confused.

"I know what I said. Based on how far along I am I know exactly who I was having sex with and even the night I got pregnant, but Owen won't hear it. He doesn't believe me, I mean, why would he? I lied to him so many times, I didn't even tell him about my affair before I was about to marry him. Why should he even believe or care that this child is his?" Teddy sighed.

"But…you want me to run the test anyway?" Carina questioned.

Teddy shook her head as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"At least if I do that they'll be sufficient proof. Maybe he'll come back, maybe he won't. I don't want him coming back just because of this baby but he needs to know this child, he needs to be there, I know he wants to be here…" Teddy cried.

Evelyn stroked Teddys hair and shushed her, reassuring her and telling her to take deep breaths.

Carina then took some blood and agreed to run the test. Teddy already had one of Owens old toothbrushes ready to go, to match the DNA.

"Now," Carina stated more cheerful, "why don't we see this little bambino or bambina shall we?"

Teddy managed to crack a small smile and nodded.

"Okay." Carina said.

She began to move the probe all over Teddy's little bump and the sweet image of the baby wiggling around appeared on the screen.

"They've grown so much!" Teddy cried.

"Yes! Their development is right on track and perfect for 16 weeks. They're extremely active as well. Do you want to know the sex?"

"You can tell already?" Evelyn asked.

Carina laughed.

"Yes, its hard to see because they keep moving so much but I got it at first glance just now."

Teddy looked up at Evelyn and she nodded in approval.

"Go ahead…" Teddy said.

"Congratulations Dr. Altman, you're having a little boy." Carina beamed.

Teddys heart took a leap but also broke at the same time. She and Owen were having a little baby boy, and he might not even be around to see him.

"Two boys and a girl, its what I've always wanted…" Teddy whispered sadly.

Carina squeezed Teddy's arm sweetly and finished up the examination.

Despite Carina putting a rush on Teddy's blood test, Teddy had to wait at least 24 hours for the results to come through.

Evelyn and Teddy were heading up to the daycare to pick up Allison and Leo, chatting aimlessly, when one word sent an angry chill down Teddys spine.

"Altman!" Tom Koracick's arrogant tone went right through her.

She turned around reluctantly as Evelyn shot him a nasty look and told Teddy she'd "be right over there."

"Nice to see you Mama Hunt!" Tom said passive aggressively and Evelyn simply ignored him.

"What do you want Tom?" Teddy cut right to the chase.

"Oh, you know, haven't seen you around in awhile, you know since you ditched our plans and haven't let me help you with our little bundle. How are they?" He asked and reached for her belly.

Teddy jolted back and grabbed her little bump protectively.

"They were NEVER our plans and this is NOT your baby!" Teddy hissed.

"You sure about that?" Tom asked in his usual, slimy tone. "Because I'm good, so good that I probably could have gotten you pregnant that first night we were together."

"Shut up Tom, you're disgusting. I'm not that far along and not that its ANY of your business, but I know EXACTLY when Owen and I got pregnant with this baby." Teddy stated with confidence.

Tom just snorted.

"I'm ashamed that it took me so long to see what everyone else saw in you from the beginning but now I have and all I care about is mine and Owen's baby and getting him back."

Tom rolled his eyes.

"Okay, well when that kid comes out looking nothing like Ginger Beer and his clan, you call me." He laughed and walked away.

Teddy felt awful, awful that she ever felt ANYTHING for that fucked up excuse for a man. Awful that she threw away the best thing that ever happened to her over PTSD and doubt. She wished Tom left for Baltimore despite her turning down his offer, but after Owen confronted him with the voicemail, Tom wanted to stick around for the "big show." And when he found out she was pregnant, there was no way he was leaving because he insisted that the baby was his.

She sighed and headed back to Evelyn.

"Everything okay?" She asked, seeing Teddys pained facial expression and rubbing her bump gently.

"I just wish I hadn't screwed everything up, Evelyn. I really, REALLY screwed up. And that's understating things. Not only have I destroyed my fiancé's, if I can even still call him that, life, I've destroyed our kids lives as well." Teddy cried.

"You haven't destroyed anything, Teddy, we've talked about this. Yes, you made a terrible mistake with that man. But he has blame too yet he will never own up to any of it. But the thing is, Owen will eventually talk to you and I dare say, forgive you because not only are you the love of his life and share children together, but he's made the exact same mistake before TWICE. Owen isn't perfect." Evelyn stated.

Teddy nodded.

"I know. We've both made mistakes and have been fucked up for a long time, I know that. And I want to believe that we'll have THAT conversation and things will turn out even better than before but that scenario just seems to be slipping further and further away…" Teddy said as she continued to draw small circles all over her bump.

"Just give it time, dear. Thats all we can do, now come on lets go get those beautiful babies of yours home for a good meal. Thats means you too little mister!" Evelyn whispered to Teddy's bump.

And as Teddy smiled and thanked Evelyn for her constant love and support, her cell phone rang. It was Owen.
