In the waiting room of the maternity ward, a group of adults, teenagers are gathered around upon chairs, awaiting the sound of a newborn baby. Severus chuckled lightly, "I have never imagined seeing you wrought up like a spool of rope, Cedric.".
Cedric was wringing his hands harshly until Harry put a hand upon his shoulder, "He's right, Ced. You're tense.". Cedric chuckled sheepishly, "Can you blame me? Even before the kid's born, Sirius and Remus chose me as the godfather!".
Lucius hummed warmly, "It is a surprise, concerning that Harry is Sirius's godson, and vice versa, but I assume it makes sense as you are pretty much family to them even before your upcoming wedding.".
Hermione put in, "Speaking of, have you decided on the date yet? I know of the colors, the food, the cake, but the date, Luna wouldn't even tell me, would you, my firefly?". Luna giggled softly, "Hermione, I wouldn't dare to give out any spoilers, and besides, Harry might hex me if I jinx it.".
Harry shrugged lightly, "I am a bit predictable like that...". Minerva pointed out with a raised eyebrow, "What location are you considering for the wedding?". Cedric smiled as he and Harry glanced at each other, and Pomona blinked in surprise, "Don't tell me...the Quidditch grounds at Hogwarts?".
Cedric laughed softly, "You got Hogwarts right, Professor, but closer than the Quidditch grounds, actually.". Draco blinked in confusion, "Are you going for your favorite courtyard, then? Some way to have your parents there, Harry?".
Harry shook his head, "No, the big day isn't suitable for the courtyard. And besides, Hogwarts herself wants to see the wedding thoroughly.". Filius nodded in thought, "Makes sense. So, then somewhere indoors?".
Cedric smiled lightly, "You're getting warmer, Professor. It's a place of huge importance, somewhere all everyone can be at.". Neville gasped softly in realization, "You're talking about the Great Hall!". Harry and Cedric grinned at that comment, affirming the place for their wedding.
Severus laughed softly, "Should have known. It's obvious!". Murmurs of agreement came from the others all around, and then, suddenly, a piercing wail reached the ears of the group, and they became silent, watching the doors of the maternity ward.
After a few minutes, Remus came out with a pink bundle in his protective arms, smiling so proudly with that fatherly aura around him, and he sat down with the group around him. Harry laughed, "I knew it would be a girl!".
Cedric rolled his eyes bemusedly, "You were thinking that the last few weeks, Ry!", turning over to face Remus, "What's her name, Remus?". Remus smiled, turned the bundle around, revealing the newborn babe, "Say hello to Venus Leia Lupin.".
Venus has Remus's tan skin, and brown curls which seems to be shades darker than Remus's light brown hair while she has Sirius's nose in a feminine style, and a mirror set of stormy grey eyes. Everyone cooed and awwed over the sight of the newborn girl, and Cedric smirked lightly, "I told you that she would have a star-based name, so, ha!".
Harry chuckled, "You certainly did, Ced. She's really adorable, Remus, looks like you, except with Sirius's eyes and nose. And let me guess, you and Sirius saw Star Wars with Mum and Dad, didn't you?". Remus laughed softly, "Oh, yes. We were fans of the movies. And honestly, there's no better middle name than Leia, wouldn't you say?".
Cedric chuckled warmly, "Venus Leia Lupin, it truly suits her well. Welcome to the world, little one.". Venus gave a happy gurgle, blinking curiously at her newfound family, unknowing that she's to be a powerful and intelligent witch.
