Chapter 3: Meetings and Secrets
It had been a few days since the Bubble Guppies reunited after so many years. As I said, they want to go out together to make up for all the time lost. The girls had agreed to meet at Molly's house for a "girls sleepover". The boys also decided to make their own plans. They planned to do a marathon night of movies and video games. Both groups planned it for Friday, so they would have no problems with the next day. So we'll see how each gang spend the night.
Girls side.
Deema and Oona came to Molly's house together with some things like their sleeping bags. Of course Molly went out to meet them.
"Hi, girls!" Molly said.
"Hello there!" Deema said.
"Thanks for the invitation, Molly" Oona said.
"Whatever for my old friends" Molly answered. She let them into her house and asked them to feel comfortable.
"Hey, Molly! Do you have something planned tonight?" Deema asked.
"Well, we can do a lot of things. We can do a karaoke" Molly proposed.
"Ohhh I love karaoke! I would dare to dance like old times. What do you said?" Deema added.
"Nice!" The two girls said.
"We can watch some movies too" Oona commented.
"All right! Here we go!" Deema shouted.
The girls had a good time together. They decided to watch some drama and romance movies. Then all three decided to do karaoke. Some songs were the ones that they sang in the past with the Bubble Guppies (You can imagine what songs were) and others were songs that were a little bit more current.
"Hahahaha I remember the day when we opened a restaurant" Deema said.
"That was a good day!" Oona added.
"Yeah. I miss that days" Molly said a little sad
"But Molly, we can do new memories now that we are together. The six of us" Oona confronted her.
"By the way, we are forgetting one interesting topic" Deema said with a mischievous gaze.
"Huh?" Molly and Oona didn´t get it.
"Come on! Let's talk about the boys" Deema said.
"What is wrong with them?" Oona asked.
"Nothing...just….You cannot deny it, you have to accept that the boys ... have changed ... and it is a good change ... They are more attractive" Deema said mischievous smile. Molly and Oona blushed a bit.
"Well…..I can not lie. Gilly is very handsome now" Molly said nervous.
"Hey! Do you still like Gil?" Deema asked.
"Wh..what?!" Molly blushed.
"Please, you two always walked together and even hugged since kindergarten" Deema explained.
"Th..th..that's just friendly things!" Molly answered.
"Well. Your expression doesn't help much, friend" Oona added. Molly just sighed.
"Okay…..I like him a lot. It hurt a lot the day I stopped seeing him. And always dreamed of seeing him again. And now that we meet again, I don't know what to do" Molly explained.
"AAAHHHHHHH" Deema and Oona shouted like fangirls "WE KNEW IT! WE KNEW IT!
"Yeah yeah...stop, girls" Molly ordered "And what about you two? What do you think of the boys?"
"To be honest, Goby is now very attractive. I think he would be my ideal type. He is cute, gentle and kind. But I'm not sure if I'm in love with him. There is still time to find out" Deema explained.
"I had a feeling that you and Goby had nice chemistry. But now you guys can go out together and see if you really love him more than a friend" Oona recommended.
"And you, Oona?" Molly asked. She was nervous.
"Well…..Nonny has always caught my attention. When we met, I always knew that he needed a friend. I always saw him alone. So I started to relate to him. And then you came and all that. But ... I know that ... I ... I like Nonny. He is very calm, kind and tender. Although he does not talk much or smile much, his facts show that he is a great person" Oona answered blushed.
"Well...I propose that we help each other so that we can have a chance with the boys" Molly said with a smile.
"Really?" Oona asked.
"That´s a good idea! We will decided who will be the lucky one another time" Deema said.
"Agree!" Molly and Oona said.
"Wait a minute!...Oh oh" Deema remembered something bad.
"What's the matter?" Molly asked.
"Do you really like the Gil we know?" Deema asked. Molly just nodded "It can be bad. You're not the only one who laid eyes on him" The two girls just gasped "I heard Jane is noticing him"
"Who is Jane? Oona asked confused.
"She is one of the most popular and beautiful at school. But she is just a self-centered and very rude person" Deema said.
"I hope Gilly doesn't notice her. Not because I want to be selfish, I just know that she could hurt him and I wouldn't want that to happen" Moly said that worried.
"Don´t worry, Molly. Everything will be okay" Oona said.
Boys side
Goby and Nonny They came to Gil's house. He received them and they set out to play some racing and fighting video games. In one game of a fighting game, Gil and Goby were playing against each other. Nonny just watched them waiting his turn.
"You are going to fall, Goby" Gil said very confident.
"Haha you think you have a chance against my character. Please I master it" Goby answered. It didn't take many minutes for Goby to beat Gil "In your face, Gil!"
"That's not fair. Your character is very OP" (Overpowered) Gil said annoyed.
"It just means that I'm very good" Goby showed off a little "Nonny, is your turn against me".
"Okay" Nonny said before he took the video game controller.
"Just break him, Nonny" Gil said. Goby and Nonny chose their characters to start the fight."What? Him? He is the weakest character, Nonny!"
"It will be easy. I will try not to be too aggressive with you, Nonny" Goby smirked. Nonny didn't say any word. The battle began. They both looked focused. But, without being expected, Nonny was defeating Goby in the game. Finally, Nonny defeated Goby.
"Hahaha nice" Gil said.
"What? How?" Goby was surprised "My character is better than yours"
"Most likely, you played very smooth with him. Now you will see a professional player in action" Gil said very confident. Nonny stayed quiet.
"Nah whatever" Goby rolled his eyes. This time, Gil and Nonny were fighting in the video game. And Nonny won again.
"WHAT? Impossible!" Gil said that very surprised.
"Nonny, how is it possible that you defeated us with the weakest character in the game?" Goby asked.
"Simple. No character is bad, only not all are controlled the same. You just need to know the movements and when to use them. Also, you two can be a little predictable" Nonny explained. Gil and Goby were a little embarrassed.
"I didn't know you had a talent for video games" Gil said.
"I don't tell you everything" Nonny answered quietly.
"By the way. We already watched a lot of movies and we played a lot of video games tonight. What do you plan to do now? I still don't plan to sleep" Goby asked.
"Well….how about we do the "boy talk"?" Gil said with a mischievous smile.
"Ohhh yeah. I get it!" Goby added "Girls"
"You understand me, buddy" Gil said. Nonny stayed quiet.
"You see, they have changed since the last time we saw them" Goby confessed.
"Yeah...they look….more...attractive?" Gil answered confused.
"(sigh) It is only part of the changes of adolescence. It is normal that at this age we are attracted to girls. It's natural" Nonny said.
"Now that we touch on this topic. Any girl you are attracted to, Gil?" Goby asked.
"Well….Now that you mention it, there are a lot of very pretty girls in high school. There's Stacy, Lilith, Karen, Jane, …" Gil began to mention some names of some students.
"Molly?" Goby asked with a mischievous smile.
"What are you talking about?" Gil asked confused.
"Admit it, you like Molly since we were kids" Goby answered.
"That's not true!" Gil said annoyed.
"So why are you blushing?" Goby said. Gil blushed a lot. Nonny still quiet.
"Ummmm...well….maybe a little" Gil confessed "But does that matter? Molly just see me as her best friend. I would not want to ruin my friendship with her"
"Are you kidding me? Can't you see it's very obvious that she…." Goby said before Nonny covered Goby´s mouth.
"She what?" Gil asked confused.
"That she might interest you for you if you just try" Nonny said seriously.
"Emmm right?" Gil said still confused.
"Nonny! Why don't we tell him Molly likes him?" Goby whispered to Nonny.
"Because it's something he has to figure out on his own" Nonny whispered.
"What are you two whispering?" Gil asked.
"Nothing!" Both of them said.
"(Why are they acting so strange?)" Gil though "Anyway, any girl that interests you, Goby?
"Let me think. I have to admit, there are a lot of pretty girls in high school. But recently ... I am interested in one of them" Goby answered thinking a lot.
"Who is she?" Gil asked.
"Well….we know her" Goby said.
"Well….I don't think it is Molly" Gil asked.
"Nope. She isn´t" Goby said.
"Mmmmm maybe...Oona?" Gil asked again. This time, Nonny froze for a few moments. He was a little scared, but he was trying to keep his posture.
"Nah….I see her more like a sister" Goby confessed. Nonny sighed with relief.
"So it's Deema" Gil said. Goby blushed a little.
"Yup…...I was very happy to see her again. Maybe we didn't share much together but this time I would like to be closer to her" Goby confessed.
"Very good. And what about you, Nonny? Any girl you are interested in?" Gil asked.
"I am not interested in any girl right now. I'm busy with more important things" Nonny answered.
"Not even in Oona?" Gil asked with a mischievous smile. Nonny blushed a little, but he decided to stay calmed.
"I only see her as a friend" Nonny said quietly.
"Really?" Goby asked. He just nodded.
"Alright…(yawn) We must sleep now" Gil said tired.
"Agree!" Goby commented. The boys decided to sleep in the living room with come sleeping bags. Gil and Goby fell asleep quickly, but Nonny was thinking about what he said to his friends.
" Only like a friend...I do not think so" Nonny said that himself before he fell asleep.
And so, both groups ended their nights thinking about their possible loves. Neither knew what the other felt. This could bring several unexpected situations.
