Chapter 5: Teamwork Misfortune (part 2)

A few days later. While Gil was executing his plan to fix his big dilemma, we will look at another team. We can see Goby a little tired from watching his egg all these days. Her older brother brought home their three young children. I mean, Goby's nephews were home. Goby was all these days watching that they did not break anything in the house, especially his egg. "What exactly are you two doing?" Goby asked again.

"Oh...We only take our babies for a walk" Oona said with a smile.

"It is healthy that we go out at least once a day for a walk outside with the babies" Nonny added.

"Babies?" Goby was more confused.

"Yeah. The eggs. We asked the teacher if we can take care of two at the same time. She accepted. Well, I consider that Nyomi felt lonely. So we decided to take another egg and make a new little brother" Oona explained.

"The other is a boy. We call him "Darren". It means "little noble"...in irish" Nonny commented.

"Emmmm right…..Anyway. Have you seen Deema?" Goby asked.

"Mmmmm no...I didn´t see her lately" Oona answered. Nonny just shook his head.

"Well….Thank you anyway. Good luck with both eggs. You must be twice as careful" Goby said before he was leaving.

"Very well. Take good care" Oona said. Nonny moved his hand "I think we are doing it very well, Nonny"

"Yes. I think so" Nonny answered.

"Hey! Let's go to my house to take care of these little ones" Oona recommended. He just obeyed her and both of them go to Oona´s house.

While this was going on, we will return to Gil's house where a certain boy was fixing his mess. At that moment, someone knocks on the door. Gil goes out to receive that visit. It was Molly.

"Hello, Gil. I regret not having responded earlier. But I was very busy and I couldn't write to you" Molly apologized.

"Don´t worry, Molly. Everything is okay" Gil answered sweating a little.

"By the way. Do you have "Gil Jr" with you?" Molly asked "Remember we must deliver it tomorrow"

"Oh...this...emmm….He is….right here" Gil said nervous. He showed the egg. But something strange has that egg. Molly started to inspect a little.

"Gilly…...Don't you notice something ... different ... in Gil Jr?" Molly asked with some confusion.

"Nope….I see it normally. Nothing strange….Why do you ask that?" Gil answered sweating more than before.

"I see it bigger than usual. Mmmmmm I should check it out a little more" Molly commented. But her friend stopped him.

"It must be nothing. We can do something in the meantime …" Gil said nervous.

"Gil….."

"Oh oh I know. We can watch some movies….and the egg can stay with us….." Gil added pretending to be excited.

"GIL!" Molly shouted.

"Gil….What's going on? First the egg looks strange and now you act very suspicious. Tell me what happened" Molly asked him.

"Gilly….you can tell me the truth. If you are honest with me, I will not be angry with you" Molly comforted him.

"It is what you say now. If I tell you, you will change your mind" Gil said worried.

"We are friends, nothing could change that" Molly added. He just sighted and decided to confess.

"Well…...okay….I….I….I…..I broke Gil Jr" Gil confessed covering his face.

"Huh?...You…..WHAT!?" Molly was shocked.

"I...I...can explain it!...It was an accident...I swear" Gil explained very scared.

"Gil….It was too important to us!...Now what shall we tell the teacher? We both fail and I WILL SWEEP THE FLOOR WITH YOU, GIL GORDON!" Molly shouted angrily.

"I´m so sorry, Molly. Do to me what you want but please don't hate me and I don't want to lose you forever!" Gil began to kneel down and beg her forgiveness. In that instant, she lowered her anger. So much so that it changed her annoying tone to a confused one.

"Wait a moment, what are you talking about?" Molly asked confused.

"I thought that if I told you the truth, you would be very angry with me and that we would stop being friends forever. I'm a fool who always screw up. One with a lot of bad luck. I am the worst companion and the worst father for a simple egg" Gil confessed sadly. Molly saw him and she felt bad for him.

"Gilly…..That has nothing to do with our friendship. You may be foolish and very unlucky. And yes, maybe now I'm upset with you. But that doesn't mean I don't want you to be my friend. These things always happen. But why do you think we are still friends? We always look for ways to keep going despite everything. And that is what we have to do now" Molly explained calmer than before.

"Mmmm yeah…..You're right….Maybe….We have a solution…."Gil said.

"What is it...Gil?" Molly asked.

"Well….I will not like it but ... it is the best for both of us" Gil told it with a seriously tone.

Now we will return with Goby. He was already arriving at Deema's house. He was left wondering what he had to say to her. Finally, he plucked up his courage, sighed, and walked to the door. But before touching it he heard a sound. He decided to look out the window and saw something that would lead him to change his perspective on his friend. There were two little blond guppies with yellow and orange tails. They were both fighting over something he didn't know yet. At that moment, Deema came to separate them quickly.

"Very well….Daniel, Dylan ... Why are you two fighting?" Deema asked.

"He took my toy car!" Daniel said.

"No...it is MY toy car!" Dylan said. Deema just took the toy "Hey, sister! Give me back!"

"Give me my toy car!" Daniel complained.

"Nope. I won't give it to either of you until you two apologize to each other" Deema ordened. Both brothers saw each other again.

"Sorry, bro!" Both of them said.

"Now...a hug" Deema ordered them again. They did what she said "Better?"
"Yeah...I'm not mad at you anymore, brother" Dylan confessed.

"Me too, bro!" Daniel answered.

"See? Now you can play and you can share your toys without any problem. You must not let any foolish fight separate you. This toy car is from Dylan, since I thought I saw Daniel's in his room. Now go play and I don't want to hear any more fighting. Understood?" Deema said taking responsibility of her little brothers.

"Okay….You´re the best older sister in all the world!" Dylan said.

"Dylan, let´s go! Thanks, sis!" Daniel added.

"Hehehe It's what the older sisters do" Deema answered.

At that moment, Goby understood what Oona had said to him earlier. He was underestimating her. He didn't know that she had a responsible side in taking care of two little brothers while their parents worked. It must be a big responsibility and he didn't let her take care of a simple egg. He was already planning to settle his differences with her right now. He knocked on the door, it didn't take many minutes for Deema to receive him. The first expression did not favor much to say.

"Oh….hi, Goby" Deema said it without much desire to talk to him.

"Hi...Deema….Well….I came here for one reason" Goby said.

"What do you want?" She asked coldly.

"Deema….I´m sorry…." Goby confessed.

"Huh?" Deema was confused now.

"I misjudged you. I thought you couldn't take care of an egg because since you're a little crazy I didn't think you could take something seriously. But now that I saw you how you handle things at home, it made me understand my mistake. I was a fool to carry all this work as a team. Please accept my apology" Goby said it very regretfully. She thought hard to give her answer to him.

"Well you know. You're right that I can be a little crazy and dramatic, but that doesn't mean I can't take things seriously. Being dramatic and outgoing is part of my personality, but I also assume my responsibilities as they should. I accept your apology" Deema answered.

"That's good! Well, tomorrow we finish with this homework. So, do you want to take care of Amber? I´m very tired….If I take care of it longer, I swear I'll make it fried egg" Goby said that.

"Well…..Why not? You should have told me from the first day" Deema giggled a little.

"I know….I know" Goby answered.

It was already the day of the delivery of the task. Several couples were nervous about the teacher's evaluation. Professor Michigan checked each egg to see its condition. He caught some cheating like having cooked the egg to be stronger or swapping the broken egg for another. She would check the couple: Gil and Molly

"Ummmm Gil and Molly….Where is the egg?" Ms. Michigan asked confused. Molly stayed quiet and Gil sighted.

"Teacher…...We don't have the egg because I...broke it accidentally. It was my fault. I don't know if you're going to fail us or I don't know. But ... I'm just asking you not to take away Molly's work points. She worked very good. She is innocent. You can reprobe me " Gil confessed.

"Well….When we finish we will go to my house to do omelette" Deema said "By the way, where are Gil and Molly?"

"But I already told you that I was sorry!" Gil shouted very scared escaping from her.
