Hello everyone and welcome to the final chapter of "Yakko's Date." Yep, it's been a very interesting ride, but like all things it must come to an end.
Before we get to it, I just want to say 'thank you' to everyone who took the time to read it and to those who decided to leave a comment. If you enjoyed it, I'm glad. If you didn't, then know that I hold only myself responsible because I didn't deliver the enjoyment you wanted.
I also wanted to remind everyone reading this that, once again, please stay safe as we still try to adjust to COVID-19 and how it affects our daily lives. Please remember to wash your hands, maintain social distancing, avoid large gatherings if you can, and put your masks on when in public.
If you choose not to do so, that is your choice but please consider the safety and wellbeing of everyone around you.
Anyway, onto what you all have been waiting for. Let's finally get to the end…
Chapter 14: The Final Date
To say ACME Studios was a mess would be an understatement.
Pulverized would be 'overshooting it'.
Perhaps 'a disaster zone' would be best if….
"GET ON WITH IT" All the toons shouted, as the writer finally said "Ok fine" before beginning the story properly.
As soon as Big returned to normal, the rifle just as quickly vanished as he muttered "Game over Rocky" only to suddenly find someone raising his right arm. Turning to his right, Big found Yakko raising his arm while wearing a referee shirt as a microphone suddenly lowered down from nowhere as he grabbed it with his free hand and announced "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner by a knockout and your new undisputed champion of Burbank."
As this happened, cheers erupted from everywhere.
Carlos and Sara simply sighed in relief as Carlos put his sword back in its sheath.
"Hey, what did I miss?" Little asked, having returned at that moment while landing to Carlos' left. She then also asked "Also, was it just me or did I pass a Snowwolf trying to poorly disguise himself in a green hoodie on my way back trying to cosplay as Bruce Willis from Unbreakable?"
"One, how do you even know that movie?" Sara asked, then added "Two, you miss that" before pointing to the fallen Rocky who had not moved since the last chapter.
"Damn, I didn't think Big would get that violent with him" Little muttered, as Sara soon said "And three, I don't think you were seeing things. Even Carlos saw it." Turning to said person, he nodded while Little asked "So I guess we saved the day?" Carlos simply chuckled before stating "Yep."
At the same time, Big gave a sigh of relief as the toons gathered and began to hug each other. For them, the worst was over. The evil had fallen, and their freedom had returned.
And yet, as he looked around, Big realized it wasn't quite over yet as Bugs and Mickey began to walk towards him. He began to grip his hands into fists, visibly upset about certain previous events concerning their actions towards his father and sister.
Events that needed closure.
"YAKKO!" Someone screamed, as Big and Yakko turned to their right, seeing Minerva running towards them. "MINERVA" Yakko called out, letting Big's arm go as he then ran to Minerva, the two catching each other in each's arms before Minerva caught his lips with their own.
"AWW" Dot exclaimed, having suddenly appeared with Wakko next to him as Big simply turned to them and asked "Isn't love a wonderful thing?" Dot simply replied "Yes it is" before suddenly turning to Big and stating "And since we're on the subject…"
"Again, not interested" Big simply said, yet Dot stated "Not yet you're not. Now give me some sugar!"
Dot suddenly jumped towards Big, her arms outstretched and her eyes closed as she pouted her lips forward in an attempt to kiss him.
And yet, when she connected, it didn't feel like a beak.
Disconnecting her lips from whatever it was, Dot soon opened her eyes and saw just who it was.
"SKIPPY?" she suddenly shouted, releasing him before realizing Big had somehow managed to quickly grab Skippy without her seeing it and used him as a shield. Letting Skippy go, Dot clenched her hands into fists and angrily walking away while Skippy turned to Big and quietly said "Thanks." Using his free hand, Big quietly saluted him before putting him down as Skippy ran off.
"Nice to know Skippy finally got his kiss" Wakko said before clutching his stomach as he fell back and begun laughing hysterically.
However, a very familiar smell began to enter his nostrils. That exact same smell that also entered Big's nose as well. "Oh god, what is that?" Big asked, as Wakko stopped laughing and realized "Oh no, not her. Anyone but…"
Unfortunately for Wakko, he was just as quickly cut off as Fifi emerged from a crowd of toons who began to back away while Fifi quickly jumped towards Wakko and caught him in a bear-gripping hug, planting him with kisses towards his head while she said "Oh my dear *kiss* Wakko, I am *kiss* so happy to be*kiss* seeing you. Please never *kiss* leave me *kiss* again." Wakko, in return, began to try and pull away all the while pleading "Fifi, get off of me. I can't breathe." Fifi, however, simply hugged him tighter while stating "Never, my dear Wakko. I swear I shall never-wait where did he go?"
Fifi soon stopped, taking a moment to blink when she realized that not only had Wakko gotten away, he somehow switched himself with a life-sized pillow of himself. Looking up towards Big, he simply pointed towards the direction of the water tower, as Fifi saw Wakko beginning to escape through the crowd. "WAIT FOR ME, MONSEUR WAKKO!" Fifi called out, as she began running towards him. In turn, having heard her, Wakko quickly began to run while Big quietly chuckled.
"What did we just see?" Little quietly asked Carlos and Sara, as Sara simply replied "I don't know. Ask him" referring to Carlos who simply replied "Little, I'm looking at the same thing you are and even I don't know."
As for Big, he simply shook his head, dumbfounded, before feeing someone grab his leg. Looking down, Big saw Rocky begin to raise his head as he hissed the words "We're not done, hero."
Meanwhile, as this happened, at a news desk a female reporter announced on television "Ladies and gentlemen, we've just been informed that the fighting in Burbank has finally ceased. Just moments ago, everything went silent and while we're not sure what has occurred, troops in the area are preparing to enter the combat zone to determine what has happened. We will keep you up to date with.." she is suddenly cut off as a piece of paper is thrusted towards her from someone off-camera.
"We have an update on a recent situation concerning Disney land parks around the world. Ladies and gentlemen, we don't know what has happened, but they are starting to return all at once. We don't know how it happened, but reports are coming in from all over the world that Disney Parks are starting to return and people are running out of them all at once. We urge those who have managed to leave to seek immediate attention at your closest medical center."
Another piece of paper is thrusted towards her as she reads it "In more news, the heroes are back. Just moments after the Disney parks returned, so too have our heroes. From the Justice League to the Teen Titans and beyond, they are all back and beginning to bring order in the chaos that erupted from the toon known as Rocky's power."
A third piece of paper is soon thrusted towards her, as she takes it and reads "Apparently, we have received news that the nuclear strike on the toons was unsuccessful due to, what is being reported as, inference from an outside source. We will have more information on this when it becomes available."
As this occurred, watching from their small apartment in Miami, young Suzy the catgirl smiled and turned to her mom, as she began to jump up and down while saying "HE DID IT! I KNEW MR. BIG COULD DO IT! HE SAVED US ALL!" Her mother, however, simply patted her head and said "Take it easy young lady. The news hasn't said anything about him or anyone else." Suzy, however, pouted as she held her teddy bear and said "But mom, they said Mr. Big was there and he was fighting the bad toon. That means he won."
"We'll wait and see what the news says, ok?" her mother said, yet Suzy quietly nodded before turning around back to the television. As she did, her mother Kita simply thought to herself "Son of a gun actually did it. I guess miracles are possible on Earth. Then again…."
She stopped her train of thought, looking out the window towards the late-afternoon sky while thinking "…back on Megacat city, we had two miracles of our own. Two heroes, but so many villains as well, both the ones we can see, and the ones that hid in plain sight."
"You're wrong Rocky" Big quietly stated, as he noticed Rocky groaning while his body was starting to slowly melt. "That weapon was armed with Dip, a chemical humans accidentally created that can kill toons down to their subatomic cells. As we speak, your body is breaking down. Within moments, your entire body will become nothing but goo. In other words, you're dying."
"Yea, whatever" Rocky grunted as he tried to get up only to fall back down. "Curse you" he muttered "Curse you and humanity. Why couldn't you just let me win?" Big, however, just sighed and replied "Because, despite what you might think, I love this planet and it's people. Sure it's got problems, and yea, humanity has it's faults, but it's because of their potential that they continue to evolve."
"You're wrong" Rocky muttered, his left arm beginning to melt, as he said "Your faith in humanity will be your downfall freak." Rocky spat that last word out, all the while Big simply narrowed his eyes. "Even if they don't, he will get you sooner or later" Rocky hissed out as his legs began to melt as well.
"He?" Big asked, as Rocky replied "Yea, some guy named Belial." Big's eyes suddenly widened, as he asked "Belial? He was here?" Rocky simply smiled, as he replied "He must scare you if that's your reaction to his name alone, but let me tell you: I don't know what your story is with him, but you and this world are gonna wish you had let me take over this world, but it's over now so permit me this one last moment for my sakes"
By this point, Rocky's remaining arm had melted down, yet Big nodded as Rocky began to sing while his body began to dissolve….
And now, the end is near; and so I faced the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear. I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.
"Oh my god, is he serious?" Carlos suddenly asked Big, then added "Is he singing Frank Sinatra?" In response, Big simply said "Dad, just let him be."
I've lived a life that's full; I've traveled each and every highway.
But more, much more than this…
"SHUT UP!" Carlos screamed, yet Big simply facepalmed before telling Rocky "Just get on with it."
I did it my way.
As Rocky sung his final words, his head finally melted into ink and was silenced.
Rocky the toon, who was created by humans in 1958 and quickly grew to hate humans, who quickly brought the fear of death to several thousand earthlings and toons, who captured Bugs and Mickey and used their powers for his own benefit, had finally passed away.
"Rest in peace Rocky" Big quietly whispered, bowing his head as he added "It's a shame that you were never able to bring happiness to others, nor were you able to find your own happiness in turn, but you were also a reminder for the horrors of humanity and greed. For that, rest easy knowing you will not be forgotten and your lesson will carry on to the next generation."
Despite the fight itself and their hatred for Rocky's actions, even Carlos, Sara and Little bowed their heads to pay their respects.
For a quiet moment, nothing was said. Nothing was heard.
In the next moment, however….
"Well, that finally brings this chapter to a close" Bugs suddenly stated, ending the sour moment, as he soon turned his attention to the non-toons and said "Now, we still have the matter of…"
"Shut up" were the words Big used, as Bugs asked him "Eh, excuse me doc?" Big, now looking up, stated "Have some respect for the dead. Counting Rocky, four toons have died this day."
Bugs, realizing this, simply said "Oh" and bowed his head before Mickey noticed it to.
"When we finish undoing all the damage Rocky has caused, we'll prepare a funeral service for them" Mickey quietly said, as Big soon said "I think there's still one last thing we need to take care of." Turning towards him, Bugs asked "And what would that be mac?" as Big replied "What are you going to do next? Everyone on Earth now knows where you guys are, so here's my question: Are you gonna embrace it or run?"
Bugs and Mickey, putting a finger on their chins, contemplated this before Bugs suddenly replied "Meh, we'll hide" as he reached his hand under the screen and seemingly grabbed a zipper, bringing it upward until it consumed all of Burbank.
"HEY" was all Big could say before the town seemingly disappeared.
"What was that?" Big asked, stumped, yet looked closer.
The only thing still there, laying on the ground, was Big's previously discarded hat and cape on the floor.
"What the heck was that?" Big asked again, realizing he, Carlos, Little and Sara had suddenly found themselves in an empty field of what was once known as Burbank. "Where are we?"
"We're still in Burbank" Little replied, yet crossed her arms as she added "But apparently they're gone, and so is the town itself."
"How did they even do that?" Sara asked, yet Carlos replied "They're toons. They can do whatever they want." He then turned to Big and said in an upset tone "Thanks a lot Big" before crossing his arms and adding "I could have gotten the Looney Tunes' autographs but NO. You just HAD to give them the option to run or get along and they picked running away."
"Dad?" Big soon asked him, picking up his cape and hat before putting them back on, failing to notice a small card falling out of his hat. "Yes?" Carlos said, as Big simply replied "Let's just go home."
They all nodded, yet Sara simply locked one of her arms with Carlos and whispered "We have a lot to discuss when we get back to Florida. Especially with these two." Carlos solemnly nodded, while Little noticed that Big was still staring where Burbank once was.
"You're gonna miss those annoying little buggers, huh?" she asked, as Big replied "I guess the Warners rubbed off on me a little." Patting one of his shoulders, Little soon tells him "Take your time saying goodbye. I'll see you in a bit."
As Little turned to catch up with Carlos and Sara, Big simply stared for a moment before saying the words "Take care of yourselves, all of you. And Yakko? Be a better parent than I was."
With those words, Big finally turned and began to walk away, but stopped when he heard the words "Don't tell me you're leaving without saying goodbye properly." Turning around, Big saw a surprising sight.
It was Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. There they stood, smiling.
A smile on his own face, Big tipped his hat to them before they, in turn, simply took a bow.
For that moment, no words needed to be said.
In the next, all three were gone as Big whispered "See you again" before he began the trek home. As he did, feeling a crunching sound, Big looked down and saw the card that previously fell from his hat. "Eh, what's this?" he asked himself, bending down to pick it up before reading.
"Hello again sir Big and congratulations on your ascension, for your victory over the toon known as Rocky will soon be heard by the ears of my demon king, Oma Zi-O. Do not despair though, for we shall meet again at your next ascension in the world of Hellsing.-Woz."
"The world of Hellsing, huh?" Big asked himself, pondering just where and what kind of world that was before deciding "I guess I'll deal with it when that time comes."
3 Weeks Later…
It didn't take long until everything both inside and out of Burbank finally quieted down.
ACME Studios was rebuilt following the destruction caused from all the fighting. Since the previous CEO had an unfortunate 'melting' incident, Bugs had decided to temporarily take control until Acme Looniversity was rebuilt from scratch. Once that was done, the Looney Tunes decided to switch off on days to make sure someone was in control until a permanent solution was found (except Daffy for obvious reasons).
The Disney toons quietly left town soon after the rebuilding was complete (and Scrooge quietly left town after Slappy gave him a present with an explosive response).
Despite what occurred earlier in this chapter, Dot still refuses to date Skippy. In a similar manner, Wakko still continues to run whenever Fifi shows up. 5 days later, however, Wakko finally agreed to go on a date with Fifi (which ended the exact way you're thinking it did).
As she was unconscious during the final moments of Big's battle with Rocky, Slappy never saw his toon form nor did she ever get a check to repair her front door.
Dr. Scratchansniff was found shortly after Burbank was sealed away from the world, alive aside from a large bump on his noggin. After reuniting with the Warners, he immediately returned to his practice.
Plotz, surprisingly enough, was found by Donald and Goofy shorty after Big and his family left, and was re-arrested afterwards. He is currently being prepared to be sent to a new toon jail for his crimes against humanity as well as his association with Rocky.
And finally, as for Yakko and Minerva, we finally return to where their first date began as the two sat by a table and waited for their order.
"Things sure have quieted down, haven't they?" Minerva asked him, a hand on her chin and the other on the table as Yakko quickly covered it with one of his own. "Yep, they sure have" Yakko replied, yet could only bring himself to stare into her eyes as he asked "But what a wild ride, am I right? Evil toons, weird bird-like alien things, and even Joel Hodgson was here if only for a short time, but this is nice."
For a single moment, there was nothing around them. No siblings, no other toons. Just them.
"But that said" Yakko suddenly said, as he proceeded to ask "There is still one last thing to tie up. What about our little bundle?" Minerva, for once, said nothing as she took her hand on her chin and moved it lower onto her stomach, rubbing it as she realized that regardless of what had passed, their circumstances had not changed.
She was with child, a Warner no less. The first newborn toon with the same ink as a Warner brother.
And, as she looked at it, a simple thought came out of her mouth.
"Why don't we keep it?"
Yakko, surprised, asked "Are you sure? Neither one of us are exactly good parenting-types." Minevra, in response, asked him "Yakko, considering you've been a kid for several decades and yet you've been taking care of your younger siblings for just as long, don't you think it's time to learn how to be a parent?" Looking as deep into his eyes as she could, she finally said "I admit it'll be challenging, but I'm willing to do it, so my question to you is this: Yakko Warner, will you be the father of my child?"
In that moment, everything was quiet to the point where you could drop a pin and still not hear it.
In that exact moment, Minerva could have almost sworn her heart would break if he had said 'no'.
Luckily for her, Yakko suddenly kissing her in public answered her question.
One Year Later…
It was the year 2019, and camera crews began surrounding the front of the water tower while sitting from a director's chair, Bugs Bunny announced through a megaphone "Alright everyone, I need the set clear to start filming. We're filming the very first episode of the Animaniacs reboot for Hulu and I wanna make sure we get this done on time."
"Jees, when did he suddenly decide to play director?" Daffy muttered, crossing his arms while standing by the buffet table as Slappy, who decided to pass by, suddenly asked "He's directing the first episode? Who's doing the second?" Daffy turned to her and replied "Why mwah, of course."
In tun, Slappy held her stomach as she started laughing as hard and as loud as possible, causing Daffy to mutter "I thought it was cool."
"Alright everyone, places" Bugs announced before stating "Episode 1 of Animaniacs, take 1, and we're starting in five…four…three…"
As Bugs counted down, standing next to him were Minerva, who in her hands held a small toon with a bushy mink's tail, but her father's eyes as she opened her mouth and cooed while the music hit.
It's time for Animaniacs, and we're zany to the max.
So just sit back and relax, you'll laugh till you lax.
We're Animaniacs.
Come join the Warner brothers and their Warner sister Dot.
Just for fun we run around the Warner lot.
They lock us in the tower whenever we get caught, but we break loose and then vamoose and now you know the plot.
We're Animaniacs. Dot is cute and Yakko yaks.
Wakko packs with the snacks while Bill Clinton plays the sax, we're Animaniacs.
Meet Pinky & the Brain who want to rule the universe.
Good feathers flock together, Slappy whacks them with her purse.
Buttons chases Mindy, while Rita sings a verse.
The writer's quit, we have no script, why bother to rehearse?
We're Animaniacs, we have pay or play contracts.
We're zany to the max, there's baloney in our slacks.
We're Animany, totally insaney…
Dot-"The Writer's still lazy"

Animaniacs! Those are the facts!
And as the song comes to an end, the screen goes black.
The End!
Post-Credit Scene
Somewhere in an abandoned castle in the South Jersey Shore, a near elderly scientist wearing a purple robe and yellow gloves while wearing an air helmet over his head stated "…And that's how my father created Rocky."
"So let me get this straight Dr. Weird" the other scientist, a much younger man with orange hair said before asking "Your father created the toon that attacked Burbank and almost took over the world?" Dr. Weird replied "That's right Steve, but he made one mistake." As Dr. Weird walked over to an automatic door, he pressed a button and turned around, facing away from it before announcing "And Now: Gentlemen…..Look and BEHOLD!"
As the door opened, Steve was in awe as he saw a large test tube with what appeared to be the body of the scientist from back in Chapter 5 as he announced "My father's dead body preserved so I can mock him for all eternity. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
As Dr. Weird turned towards the tube and gave off a maniacal laugh, Steve simply whispered "Ok screw this, I'm out" before quietly leaving the lab as Dr. Weird mocked his father's preserved corpse by asking "Who's the dummy now daddy?"
Author's Notes
And that's it. Ladies and gentlemen, this story is officially over and what a ride it was.
It's been an interesting story, which I had hoped to finish last year but writer's block happened and from there you can guess the rest, but anyway the story is finally over and I'd just like to say thank you one last time to everyone who read it to the end and to those who have sent reviews. If you enjoyed it, then I'm happy you did. If you didn't, then I'm sorry and I will try to do better in the future.
With this, the story is over and now onto the next one. Before I do, though, there's one last thing to clear up. Originally, I had planned to do a sequel for this story by leaving something in the end to lead up to it which explained the appearance of Dr. Weird and Steve from 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force', but after how long it to just to finish this story I'm not sure at this time if it'll happen or not. If I do, then we'll see.
Anyway, before we get to the end, it's time to reveal my next story which you can find in the "Swat Kats" section. This is the full summary, with a simplified one to come when the first chapter comes out:
Many years ago, in an attempt to protect their planet, Megacat City sent a creature known as Kathula into space. In the present, Belial unleashes Kathula onto Earth with even Big unable to stop it, and with the Enforcers unwilling to help. Thus, things begin to look grim but one last chance might make all the difference…
