Chapter 22: Bubble Guppies Falling Apart (part 2)

The following days did not help calm Nonny's insecurities. Although the relationship with Oona was fine, Nonny felt that she preferred to be with Goby. It seems the doubts were only getting stronger. He wanted to talk about it with someone ... but with whom? Molly and Gil seemed to be busy with each other and it wouldn't be comfortable talking to Oona or Goby. Nonny would look bad. There was only one trustworthy person left ... and that person seemed to be available. Without wasting any more time, Nonny met Deema in a cafeteria. He felt that if he invited her to eat something, that would be more polite than just talking about his personal problems.

"What's up, Nonners!" Deema answered exciting like always.

"Hi!" Nonny just greeted her.

"It is very kind of you to invite me to lunch" Deema commented.

"It's nothing. We are friends" Nonny said.

"Euh...Nonny….It is not normal that you have invited me to eat like this. Don't get me wrong but you and I don't usually go out together unless the others are there. Is there something you want to talk about?" Deema asked confused. Nonny stayed quiet for a moment.

"(sigh) Sorry. I don't want to make you feel like I'm only looking for you when I'm in trouble" Nonny confessed.

"Do not worry. We are friends. Tell me what's wrong with you" Deema told him.

"Well….You know Oona. You are the person who knows her the most besides me. Do you think ... that she really loves me?" Nonny asked nervously.

"What is that question about? It's obvious that she loves you ... Oh ... Don't tell me that ..." Deema started to worry.

"I am still confused. She seems to feel better with Goby than with me. I want to trust her but ... I don't know ... I don't even know what to tell you" Nonny was sad.

"I see….You know? I also feel worried. Goby and I don't go out as much as before. And he's been with Oona for a long time. She is my friend and I know she wouldn't do me anything wrong ... but it's been a long time and we have to put a stop to it" Deema explained.

"Come on, Nonners! Everything will be faked. It doesn't mean that you and I fall in love or something. It will only be to provoke Goby and Oona" Deema proposed.

"I don´t know. I think we should talk to Gil and Molly. They are a very stable couple" Nonny intervene.

"Most likely, they are so busy in their relationship that they have already pushed us aside. So we are alone in this. Do you accept or not?" Deema asked.

"(sigh) I think I will regret this but ... Let's do this" Nonny accepted Deema's plan, even though that sounded very stupid. Both decided to apply that plan. Unbeknownst to them, someone watched everything that happened.

A few days later.

"Nonny, do you want us to do something together after school?" Oona asked shyly.

"Maybe another time, Oona. I promised Deema that I would help her with an important matter" Nonny answered.

"Huh? Deema? Don't get me wrong but since when are you and Deema so close? It doesn't bother me of course, rather I'm glad. And what do you two have to do?" Oona asked surprised a little.

"It is personal between the two. It doesn't bother you, does it?" Nonny asked quietly.

"Oh no no. I respect it. Have fun whatever you two will do" Oona smiled him. He kissed her cheek and he went away. Oona sighted a little worried.

"Is something bothering you, Oona?" Goby asked. He had just arrived.

"Oh...It's nothing important" Oona lied to him. She was a little worried "(Nonny and Deema….No...It can be...Impossible)" She thought that.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't be the last time Nonny would do that to Oona. Deema used to do the same with Goby. They only did that with the intention of making Oona and Goby jealous. Which they were doing, but not in the best way.

"Goby, don't you notice that something strange happens between Nonny and Deema?" Oona asked worried.

"Of course I have noticed. Deema and I have not been out again. Instead she has dated Nonny. Something very suspicious is going on here" Goby answered.

"Perhaps ... they do that because they see us very close together?" Oona asked.

"I do not think so. You and I are close friends. They should know better than anyone ... But ... on the other hand ... We talk about Deema, Queen of Drama ... Mmmmm things don't look good ... If I know her well, she plans to make us jealous because she is dating Nonny" Goby analyzed.

"Only by speaking calmly and civilly will we fix everything. Trust me" Goby took Oona´s hand to gave her confidence .

"Yeah. Thanks" She hugged him. But….Nonny saw it all and retired with some ... anger.

Without saying anything, Nonny met Deema.

"And good? What happen?" Deema asked.

"Agh….I don't like the way they look. There seems to be something we don't see" Nonny commented bothered.

"Do you ... think they are cheating on us?" Deema asked nervously.

"I don't know ... I don't know why that wouldn't surprise me. I have to accept it ... Seriously Oona was going to love a weird nerdy boy like me" Nonny was sad.

"Don't say such nonsense! You are a good friend and very smart. And if Oona doesn't see that, it's because she's a fool. At least, I see that and I've always admired that about you ... although I don't usually show it" Deema smiled him.

"Wow ... I didn't expect that from you. Thanks, Deema" Nonny felt better.

"You're welcome, Nonners. You can count me with anything" Deema took his hand.

"I know" Deema looked at him with a look not very comfortable for Nonny. And then she did something unthinkable ... Deema kissed him on the lips. Obviously Nonny quickly split up.

"But what the hell are you doing? That was not part of the plan" Nonny was shocked.

"WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?" That was a bad sign. Oona and Goby saw that. Unfortunately, only the kiss part.

"Save yourself that, Nonny! I saw it all. I am not a fool. You really cheat on me with my best friend" Oona was angry.

"Leave him, Oona. I was the one who kissed him" Deema intervene.

"Ohh yeah sure. I do know it. But that's no excuse" Oona said bothered.

"How dare you do this to me, Deema? I trusted you. And I see you kissing you with my friend" Goby was offended.

"And now am I the bad one here? You caused this. Goby has neglected me a lot and Oona has neglected Nonny. You do not know the doubts and bad thoughts that we suffer" Deema explained.

"What are you talking about? Oona and I are just friends. What you did is unacceptable. God, you're not dramatic for nothing" Goby rolled his eyes.

"I bet you guys are cheating on us too. But secretly" Nonny added. And so, the four of them started arguing loudly, almost to the point of screaming.

"You know something? I don't want to hear from you again!" Deema shouted.

"It's fine with me! I don't want an exaggerated and dramatic girl as a girlfriend!" Goby expressed angrily.

"I can't believe what you did to us. You played with our confidence. And I can't forgive that!" Oona said angrily.

"Everything would have been better if we hadn't met again. And I don't want to see you in my life ever again!" Nonny sentenced.

"FINE!" The four cried out and each left on their own. That was bad, four separate guppies. As you can imagine, someone was happy about the show.

"Hahahaha It was much better than I imagined. Jane, phase 1 has been completed. We will proceed to phase 2. You know what it means, right?" James smirked.

"Yeah...Phase 2: Gil and Molly" Jane smiled evilly.

What about Molly and Gil? Well, they were in the blue-haired boy's house. They were both alone, so they had the house to themselves. They were having a very intimate moment. They were both kissing with some intensity lying on the sofa.

"Mmmmm Molly…..I would like to continue like this forever" Gil said quietly while kissing.

"Mmmm me too...Gilly" She answered. They were both very excited, Gil thought about taking off Molly's blouse so they could do "it". But, Gil saw his girlfriend and noticed that she looked worried. So he stopped.

"Molly ... is something wrong with you? If it's because this would be your first time ... well ... I admit it's my first time too so ..." Gil said nervously and blushed.

"No, Gilly. It's not about that, love. I wish my first time will be with you ... but ... I'm not feeling well now. Something has me worried" Molly confessed.

"Well…..Tell me" Gil doesn't like see her like that.

"Gilly, I don't want you to misunderstand me but ... don't you think we are A LOT of time together? It doesn't bother me, I love that we spend time together. After all, it is part of a love relationship. But ... we have not been hanging out with our friends, the other guppies. I want to speak to Deema and Oona again. And of course, Goby and Nonny too" Molly said nervously.

"Wow ... I thought I was the only one who thought that. Molly, I love you and everything. But I think we let our relationship take us away from our friends. After all, thanks to them we are together" Gil admitted.

"Thank you love. For understanding me" Molly hugged him and kissed him in his cheek.

"It's nothing, Molly. What do you think if today we go with our friends. You go for the girls and I for the boys. They will not expect it" Gil proposed.

"It's a great idea, Gilly!" Molly said excited.

In this way, the two separated to search for the other guppies. On Gil's way he came to Goby's house. He knocked on the door and was greeted by his friend.

"Oh...It's you, Gil" Goby was grumpy.

"Oh Goby. So long. Hey, Molly and I think …" Gil said excited...but.

"Oh Molly, Molly, Molly….You only think of her and you put us aside" Goby was bothered.

"Calm down my friend. I admit that my relationship with her blinded me a little ... but we both decided that the six of us should do something" Gil admitted,

"Hmpt it is late. I don't want to hear from guppies again" Goby closed the door on his face.

"What the hell is wrong with Goby? I'll speak to Nonny. He is the calmest boy I know" Gil said to himself.

In Nonny´s house.

"Hi, Nonny!" Gil greeted him.

"Hi" Nonny responds curtly.

"Nonny, something is not right. I spoke to Goby and he looked angry at us. Something happened?" Gil was worried.

"Hmpt….If you don't mind, I don't want to talk about it" Nonny answered bottered.

"You too! Come on, Bunny. I don't want our friends to be fighting with each other. Tell me what happened?" Gil was shocked.

"Correction, you mean YOUR friends. They are nothing to me anymore. If you just wanted to talk about it, you'd better go ... please" Nonny said that angrily, but trying to be as polite as possible.

"Okay…..but….we are still friends...Don't forget that" Gil sighted and left "What the hell is going on here? I should talk to Molly soon" Gil said to himself.

On Molly's side, she was excited to speak to her friends Deema and Oona again. She had to go through an abandoned alley. But something was wrong. She sensed someone else's presence, but tried to ignore that and move faster. Unexpectedly, someone took her from behind. The person put her arm around Molly's neck.

"Did you miss me, Molly Gentilella?" The mysterious subject asked.

"But what...? YOU!" Molly was shocked.

"Sleep well, my friend" The subject put a handkerchief with a sleeping liquid in Molly's nose and mouth. She tried to free herself, but each time she felt weak and began to pass out. The effect of the scarf was beginning to work. She felt dizzy and closed her eyes. That would be the last thing Molly would see before the subject took her away. Who knows who he is and what he wants.

I wasn't kidding when I told you things were only going to get worse. First the four guppies separated and now Molly has been kidnapped. Could this be the end of the Bubble Guppies?
