Long before Toffee had encountered Star Butterfly, lost a finger to Moon and even a little before he killed Comet Butterfly, Toffee was a simple, young bad boy septarian that hated the royal family and magic with every bone in his body.

They've mistreated monsters for generations and they had magic to their advantage. Well now that his leader Seth was old and was looking for someone to take to his place, it was time to prove himself.

Eventually, Toffee had proven himself worthy by training hard and preparing for the rebellion and Seth had appointed him lead spy and general of the monsters.

"Excellent, Toffee," Seth said from the shadows, his beady yellow eyes only being seen. "You have gained my trust and i'm appointing you as leader. Now you know what you must do before I can step down and pass my reign to you."

Toffee smirked and bowed. "Don't you worry, master. Queen Comet and magic will be destroyed and monsters will rise and rule mewni once again. Mewmans won't stand a chance against us."

Seth cackled. "Excellent."

Well the plan wasn't a total faliure but it wasn't successful either. Toffee did succeed in killing Queen Comet but had lost a finger from the new Queen Moon Butterfly. And it didn't grow back! This led to all his monsters panicking and disbanding and now he stood alone with a missing middle finger.

Toffee frowned as he walked away to report to Seth what happened.

"Toffee?" Seth's evil yellow eyes appeared in the shadows in the trees.

Toffee gulped then quickly regained his calm composure and bowed. "Sir."

"You have failed me."

"Not quite. You see I have killed the queen-"

"But the royals are still out there. And worse yet, you lost your army and you have a missing finger that you can't regenerate. Such disappointment. I'm starting to rethink my plan of chosin you as my successor."

Toffee stared at his served finger and sighed. "Don't worry sir. I may have lost a finger and their magic may be stronger than we thought, but I did kill the Queen Comet. My plan is almost complete. I promise to destroy this magic and reclaim Mewni for us. And I don't even need those monsters. I can do it on my own."

Seth furrowed his brow. "Okay Toffee. I have faith in you but don't disappoint me again."

With that said, Seth's eyes vanished from the trees.

Toffee walked away to prepare for his next move. Sure he failed now but he swear he would come back and get what he wanted once and for all.

Many years had passed. Toffee had ditched his general like persona and became more of a calming businessman with slicked back hair. He ditched his war clothes for more of a professional attire like a black suit. He decided if he was gonna have more of a plan on destroying magic and end mewmans, he would do it in a calming sneaky way, so he traveled around mewni sneaking and hiding learning all he could about the butterfly family.

He eventually heard from some monsters that ludo avaris took over castle avarius and was constantly after the queen's wand and that she now had a kid. A girl named Star Butterfly. Toffee then decided to spy on the queen and her kid.

Moon Butterfly and her then five year old daughter Star Butterfly were inside the castle close to a window, unaware that Toffee was spying on them in the bushes far away with binoculars.

"You see this Star?" Moon held out her blue crystal wand. "It's a wand."

"Wand!" Star smiled.

Moon beamed. "Yes a wand and eventually you will have this wand. You will learn thousands of spells and become a lovely queen like me."

Then Moon frowned. "But there is something you should know."

Moon opened the spellbook and pointed to a page titled "The Whispering Spell" which showed a picture of the wand and magic getting destroyed. Toffee raised his eyebrow at this.

"This star is the whispering spell. It's one of the most dangerous and powerful spells in the book," Moon explained. "It destroys your wand and can destroy all of magic. It's a bad spell, Star. You must never use it unless it's absolutely necessary. You understand?"

Star nodded. "Bad spell! Bad Spell!"

"Yes honey! Bad spell!" Moon chuckled and nuzzled her daughter's nose. "Now come on. It's time for dinner and I'll show you more spells later."

Far away below on the round in the bushes, Toffee took off his binoculars and smirked. Ludo was after the wand? A powerful spell that can destroy magic? He started to form an evil plan in his head and was ready to put it into action.

"Toffee, it has been years. I assume won?"

Toffee appeared before Seth's shadowy figure once more after all these years, ready to explain his new plan.

"Not yet sir, but trust me I have a new plan. Thanks to all my sneakin around I have discovered there is a spell capable of destroying all magic."

Seth's eyes widened. "A spell that destroys magic?"

Toffee nodded. "Yes, they call it the whispering spell. Now I heard that Ludo Avarius is after the wand. So I'll just join his army till I get his trust then take over the castle and have the wand brought to me. But Moon is far too clever. I'll just have to wait for the daughter to receive the wand and then I'll put my plan into action and have her use the whispering spell so I can destroy magic."

Seth listened to Toffee's plan carefully. Once he was finished, Seth rinned. "Excellent Toffee. I knew I was wise to choose you."

Toffee smirked. "We just have to wait a little while longer sir, but trust me, monsters shall rise once more."

Seth smirked and his eyes vanished while Toffee walked away into his forest hideout, waiting to plot his next move.

When the time had come, Toffee's plan went exactly how he envisioned it. He took over Ludo's castle, made Star Butterfly come and destroy the wand and had infiltrated it and destroyed nearly all magic. He even managed to possess Ludo and throw all royalty out. He had even recovered his lost finger and came back to the real world.

He had won and was ready to report to Seth that Mewni was theirs and was prepared for Seth to pass his title as monster ruler to him. Except that didn't happen…

He almost won, but somehow Star Butterfly brought all magic back, turning into her butterfly form and destroyed him with a blast of her wand. And to finish the blow Ludo had topped a castle pillar on him, meaning he had failed yet again.

Now here he was. Back and ready to take revenge. Last he remembered, Star Butterfly had blasted him and Ludo threw a castle pillar on him.

"Toffee…"

Toffee's eyes widened as he turned to the source and found none other than Seth's eyes callin to him from the forest.

Toffee walked up and bowed. "Sir, it's been awhile. I-"

"Toffee, I may have removed that pillar on you and allowed you to regenerate-"

"You did that? Oh sir thank-"

"But you still have failed. You just brought more disappointment to us monsters."

Toffee's face grew to that of concern. "Sir, I-"

"But, you were able to come up with a clever plan that no monster could have ever done. So, I still have faith in you and I believe that you can end the butterflies rule and bring us back to the top again."

Toffee exhaled a breath of relief. "Oh thank you, sir. I won't-"

"But I swear, this is your last chance!" Seth snarled. "Don't make me regret movin that pillar off of you!"

Toffee bowed. "I won't sir. I swear."

With that Seth's eyes vanished once more.

Toffee then smiled to himself. Sure he had failed yet again but this time, he was ready to make a plan where all would fall. Star Butterfly, Moon Butterfly, nobody would stop him this time.

Only monsters will rule again.
