Chapter Two

Sirius had stayed true to his word, after they had stopped traveling for the day and tied the horses up to the tents wooden post and had Dobby feed and water them, he had looked through the Magical Creatures for Hired Help catalog. The catalog had quite an assortment of specialist categories; the Healer category alone had four categories; General Physician, Midwife Physician, Pediatric Physician, and even a Veterinarian.

Outside of the Healer category were other categories such as; Basic (specializing in cooking and cleaning only), Seamstress (crafting clothes to your specifications), Construction (building and plumbing), Herbology (Potion Ingredients only), Gardener (Landscaping, Herbs and Fruit and Vegetable Gardening), Herders (Most Farm Animals), Creature Handlers (Magical Creatures Only), Nannies (Baby Handlers), and Crafters (Furniture and such); were only a few of the categories.

Sirius had of course ordered the midwife physician for both Ana and Ginny, and both had nearly fallen asleep in their dinner at the rush of lost magic; Ana had named her new female house elf Tiki and Ginny had named hers Tati. Once named both elves rushed their new mistress' to bed to recover from the long day and the loss of magic, with orders to Dobby that from now on he was to take care of the cleaning and the cooking and that included making lunch and snack boxes for when they were traveling and placing both in their traveling packs, and setting out their clothes for the next day.

Ana and Ginny had been quite amused at how bossy the new little house elves were but were far too tired to make any comments about it.

The first week had been hard; Ana and Ginny both randomly burst into tears while traveling, which had caused some delays because Sirius or their new midwife house elves would call for a short break to calm them down. Despite how much they distracted themselves with reading baby care books or looked through maternity clothing catalogs, or even baby clothing, toys, and supply catalogs, they couldn't completely distract themselves from what had happened to them and what situation they were now in. Yes, they were much better off than most of the women here, even those of their friends weren't as prepared as Ana, Ginny, and Sirius are for what was coming, but that still didn't mean that they were mentally or emotionally prepared to become mother's at fifteen or sixteen years old. Worse, mothers' without a baby daddy, not that she really needed help financially, but they were still only one person and they would be mothers' to many little ones. Though Sirius had stated that he was going to help both of them through this no matter what, they still felt overwhelmed at times.

After their group meeting on that very first night, everybody had pretty much gone their separate ways in order to have time to settle in and get in contact with family and people outside of the barrier. They would be able to stay in contact with each other through the Floo System that connected the wizarding tents. Ginny had opted to stay close to Ana and Sirius, something that Sirius was grateful for because as a Weasley, Ginny was actually closely related to the Black family. Ana had been more than grateful to have her best friend close to her during this time, and both girls leaned on each other heavily for support, becoming closer with each shared experience.

Ana and Ginny had decided that the farther away from the middle of Atlantis, which is where the town the Unspeakable's had provided them with was located, they were the better off they would be. So they had been riding horses north for miles during the day, Dobby helpfully pitching the tent any time they needed rest and then packing up and moving when they were done. They had been doing this for a week now and they had to of rode at least three hundred miles by now and a quick check with Sirius confirmed that they had just passed that mark that morning.

Sirius and Dobby had worked together to build what Sirius had called the Atlantis version of the Marauders Map. Like the Marauders Map the Atlantis map showed the names of everyone on Atlantis. The city the Unspeakables had built was titled Unspeakable City and the map was steadily marking their progress away from the city. Unlike the Marauders Map, this map showed forests, rivers, landmarks, caverns and even mountains.

Sirius had stated early on that in unfamiliar territory and uneven ground it was best to keep the horses at a steady walk, with a careful trot in wide open spaces and across large fields. Ana and Ginny had quickly found out that riding a horse was completely different to riding a broomstick; first of all riding a broom stick would've been faster but a lot less safe and the horse had a mind of its own and needed a firm hand to stay on point, but with both Ana and Ginny in delicate conditions horses were a safer way to go.

Sirius had considered putting together a carriage for Ana and Ginny, but neither girl was entirely thrilled with being treated like invalids and he'd found that had he put one together, a carriage would've been far too large and bulky for the terrain. They'd mostly been travelling through a never ending forest but for the short sparse of meadows they'd come across. They hadn't come across any streams, rivers, lakes or even ponds, so they'd had to transfigure water troughs and use the aguamenti spell to provide them with water.

They had discovered that the island had been populated with animals of all kinds, most of what they'd seen had been mundane; ranging from deer to squirrels to snakes, they'd even spotted a wolf. Sirius had growled in the direction of the wolf and it had taken off to Sirius' snickers.

Ana was exhausted and her inner thighs felt like they had been rubbed raw but three hundred miles away and neither she nor Ginny felt as if they were far enough away from that town and they didn't want to stop until they felt safe enough and even then when they did stop, she and Ginny had agreed they wanted it to be for the last time. When they finally did stop, Ana wanted the place to be perfect for building a home and raising a family, because once she started popping out children they wouldn't be able to just pack up and leave. Of course they would if they had to but it would be a pain in the ass with children under foot.

Sirius had been in steady contact with Remus through their mirrors and had given him an update of what was going on every day. Remus had been upset to hear about the girls' breakdowns, but was happy to realize that they were otherwise doing fine. He had taken the last week to pack up his own supplies and anything else they suddenly decide they needed and he would be joining them on Atlantis along with Bill who had decided that his sister needed him more than his job and a potential girlfriend did.

Ginny had also been in regular contact with her brothers and her parents. Ana had joined Ginny in her room to talk to her best friends family once but once Ginny had mentioned one of her breakdowns, Molly Weasley had practically demanded that Sirius and Ana cater to her daughter and make sure she wanted for nothing, acting as if her daughter was the only one who had been turned into a broodmare and as if Sirius wasn't already doing everything he could to help Ginny. Ana, already very emotional due to her own earlier breakdown, had rushed from the room after bursting into tears, with Ginny hot on her heels.

While Ginny was comforting Ana; Bill, the twins and even Arthur were quick to lay into Molly for her tactless, overbearing demands. Molly had immediately realized her mistake after Ana and Ginny had fled from the room, but that didn't stop Sirius from laying into her once he had found out about Ana's second emotional breakdown of the day. Arthur may have considered stopping Sirius, but he was also aware of Sirius' godfather bond with Ana that was still influencing a lot of Sirius' protective instincts now that it could, so he let it be.

By the end of that call though it had been decided that Sirius, despite having Dobby and soon Remus to help him, could use an extra hand, to help with making decisions, protecting the girls and keeping them healthy, and helping them set up a home in time for the children to come. Even with magic to help, building a house big enough for what was obviously going to be a very large family was going to take a lot of magic and Sirius, Remus, and Dobby were just three people.

After the incident with his mother, Bill decided that he would join them on Atlantis, after he had gathered a few essential items, which wouldn't take more than a few days to get and he would see about bringing a couple extra Construction and Crafter house elves as well, since he wasn't currently magically hampered like Ana and Ginny were and he also needed them to get on the island in the first place.

Dobby had been great and all for cleaning and cooking, but he didn't have any other specializations that they needed outside of protect the girls at all costs.

Tiki and Tati had taken their positions as Ana and Ginny's midwives very seriously; helping with all emotional breakdowns by calling for short breaks during travel, directing Ana or Ginny to read certain baby care books, and monitoring their health. They had been very clear that Ana and Ginny needed to be able to express themselves openly and follow their instincts when it came to their own pregnancy.

Witches during their pregnancy were sometimes said to be almost prophetic depending on how powerful they were. It was one of the main reasons Sirius hadn't argued when the girls had stated their wish to relocate away from the Unspeakable City. Sirius had learned to trust the instincts of a pregnant witch from Lily during the war, after all she had saved their lives many times thanks to her 'bad feelings' as she called them.

Of course the other reason he hadn't argued, was because he hadn't thought it was his place to deny the girls something so simple when they had already had so much taken from them by force. He had promised himself that he would firmly place himself as their advisor and would follow their lead no matter what happened. He would make sure any other people coming through the barrier of Atlantis would do the same as well. He had failed to protect Ana from so much in her life and sometimes he had issues controlling his hatred of himself because of it, still this wasn't something anybody could have predicted and he took some small comfort from that fact.

Remus and Bill had gotten ahold of him before bed last night to let him know that they would be arriving in Atlantis the next morning just in time to join them for breakfast. Ana and Ginny would be happy to see the two of them. Remus had managed to find Kreacher and Winky within Grimmauld Place. He had also bought a general healer house elf named Poppy once he realized that Sirius had forgotten to consider those who weren't pregnant. Bill had bought two construction house elves named Maki and Noni and a crafter house elf named Tori.

Remus and Bill would be using Winky to pinpoint Ana's location so they could reach Atlantis. Remus had also found out that Winky had been a custom elf with specializations in basic and seamstress, so Ana and Ginny should be able to speak with her about having maternity clothes made when they began showing.
