It felt like yesterday that Milo proposed to Amanda. It took 20 years and a lot of courage and trust to ask for her hand in marriage. Mostly because of the bad luck that follows him around. It took a little bit for an answer but eventually she opened up to it. 2 years after their marriage they decided to have their 1st child. It was scary, especially for her. They were scared that the child wouldn't be able to handle it.

After the 9 months of holding him he was born. They named him James Murphy. They vowed to protect him till the day they died. They cared for him. Kept him from the bad luck. It was certainly hard but they got through it. The first few steps he took really got them though. They thought that anywhere he went he had a 40% more chance of death. Milo however was able to help teach the child the skills he needed.

Carrying her was much easier. She was used to it and the luck that persisted. Even though she has been through this before, she still felt a little uncertain. Amanda was worried about the same thing, even though Milo told her that the baby girl's older brother would take care of her. When the parents came home with the second child, they were worried that Mason, the baby girl's older brother, wouldn't be able to take care of Lennie, the new baby girl.

They all had their fair shares of ups and downs, especially Lennie for some odd reason. Lennie had even worse luck than Milo, Mason, and Amanda. Milo and Amanda worried that she wouldn't be able to handle it, and they dread the day for Lennie to go to school.

9 Years Later

The sun rose across the damp green and bright grass. The dampness reflected the light of the shiny, burning flame ball we call our sun. As the sun rises higher, it begins to say 'good morning' to the world. As the curious girl began to get out of her soft and cozy bed on the dreadful Monday, she noticed a strange shadowy figure in the bedroom door frame.

"Good morning, my darling. Do you want breakfast?" Asks the shadowy figure.

"No thanks, mom." Says 11 year old Lennie.

"Are you sure, I mean it's really easy for me to do something for you?" Asks Amanda.

"I'm fine, mom. Now please stop stalling, I have my first day of 5th grade today." Lennie tells her mom.

"Alright, it's just that you have always had a little more bad luck than you-" Amanda is cut off by her daughter closing the door.

"I know Mom." Lennie tells her mom in a sassy tone.

Lennie looks out the window and towards the amazing sunrise. She was so eager to be going to 5th grade, but at the same time worried that she wouldn't make friends. The reason for this is that she just moved across the country over the summer. She didn't know exactly what to expect. She thought it would be a sitch to make friends, but no matter how hard she thinks, she can't shake the feeling that she won't make friends. She didn't even now if the people at her new school were nice.

After sitting at the window for 5 minutes, she started to snap back into reality. When she was fully in reality again, she immediately walked over to her wardrobe, and started to get her school clothes on. Her outfit was a dark blue polo shirt with a white undershirt with a black Frenchy Terry Skirt. When she was done putting that on she looked in the mirror. She stared back at herself silently for the next 5 minutes. Before she could say anything, the mirror shattered into a bunch of tiny pieces. A large shard of glass then fall on Lennie and cuts her finger, causing Lennie to grab her finger and back up, hitting a shelf. The part of the shelf that Lennie ran into then busted and fell down, allowing everything on the shelf to slide onto Lennie's head, making her fall to the ground.

Milo hears all of the commotion coming from upstairs and goes up to look. As he walked up on the door, he heard footsteps walking towards the door. Seconds later, Lennie barges through the dorm and down the stairs. Milo followed her as she stormed down. When she got to the bottom of the stairs, she grabbed her backpack, a piece of toast, and her phone. She was about to walk outside when Milo caught her. She turned around and stared Milo in the face.

"What, dad?" Lennie asks in a tone, sensing that she doesn't want to be bothered.

"Well, I just wanted to wish you luck today sweety. And if anything happens, your helmet is in the 1st pocket of the backpack."

"Dad, I'm going to be fine."

"I know, but just to be safe. When I was your age, I had a backpack that carried everything I needed to survive and even cooperate with the Murphy Law."

"Yet again, I am going to be fine."

"Alright, well. See you later, my darling." Milo gives Lennie a little kiss on the forehead.

"I'll see you later dad."

"HONK, HONK!"

"The bus is here, I have to go. Bye Love you."

Amanda walks to the side of Milo and stands next to him. She puts her head on his shoulder as they watch the bus drive away with their lovely daughter.

"She'll be fine darling, she'll be fine." Milo reasors his wife.

"Maybe, just maybe." Amanda says.
