"No, this one will not do either..." As Ollivander swiped another wand from his hand, Harry looked at the slowly building pile of wands off to his left with a sigh, some of the wands that had 'rejected' him had been awesome based on the stats they had given, but the descriptions and 'favoured actions' for them had told him why the compatibility of them had been almost non-existent.

On the plus side though, as he looked at the results of his most recent tested wand, his repeated use of magical observation on each wand that Ollivander had brought him had been enough to level the skill up to level 3. This had meant he had gone from just knowing the wand material and core to actually knowing some information about what each of them would mean for him.

This Ollivander stocked a lot more than the three types of wand core he had offered in Harry's original world, though the three were still the most common amongst the ones he had tried thus far. Phoenix wands offered bonus strength and fire resistance, dragon wands offered increased constitution and spell resistance, and unicorn hair wands offered increased dexterity and movement speed.

Though none of them had reacted, it had been a good learning experience for Harry, in case he ever decided to try and craft his own wand. As Ollivander rushed off to go and grab another wand from within the depths of the shop, Harry glanced over at Sirius who had dozed off about five minutes before due to not at all hidden boredom, before deciding to use the opportunity to investigate the nearest item he had seen light up with the magical sense he used entering the shop.

Resting atop a chest high stand which contained more of Ollivander's wands was a half-plate gauntlet similar in some ways to the armour the Inquisition soldiers wore, though the metal plates on this piece were almost black in colour, some kind of symbols engraved along each finger of the gauntlet. Try as he might Harry couldn't focus on the symbols specifically, each of them hazy and indistinct, like he was looking at them through a heavy mist or whilst half awake, though for a couple of moments he could swear he had seen them move...

"Fascinating, isn't it?" Jumping as Ollivander's voice came from right behind him, Harry realised that he must have been staring longer than he thought for the wizened wand seller to look so amused.

"That gauntlet heralds its origins back to the Middle Ages, forged by one of the Wizards serving under Saladin for one of his greatest spies. The gauntlet aids those that wish to pass unseen, or those that wish to strengthen their own illusion magics. I am surprised that you noticed such a piece Mr Potter, the gauntlet is woven in illusion wards that whilst weakened without direct magical input usually mean that this piece goes unnoticed." The way Ollivander spoke made Harry realise that Ollivander had left the gauntlet where he had for the purpose of someone like Harry to find it, the wizened wand crafter chuckling before reaching up and grabbing the gauntlet from its stand and looking at it proudly.

"When your family has been around as long as mine has, you tend to pick up little trinkets like this, mementos of the past that make us who we are today..." Ollivander looked contemplative for a moment before tossing the gauntlet almost carelessly in Harry's direction.

"Try it on..." Harry was almost speechless, given the short snippet that Ollivander had provided, and the implication that the story was only a small part of the gauntlets history made it clear that this wasn't the sort of thing people normally let strangers try on.

Still, if Ollivander really wanted him dead there were far easier and less convoluted methods of offing him that didn't involve killing him in the man's shop. The glove was large on him, but not as much as he expected, and using the strapping around the wrist and across the palm he was quickly able to get the glove well adjusted.

"Not as large as you thought it would be I imagine? You wouldn't be the first to be surprised given the tale I just told you, but that is a tale for another time..." Ollivander paused with the sort of knowing smile that Harry had often attributed to Dumbledore, where he knew what question Harry was going to ask but would wait patiently until Harry eventually gave in and asked it rather than saving both of them the time and effort.

"Ollivander, sir, why have you had me try this on? From the sounds of it the gauntlet is a valuable relic..." Ollivander grin never shifted but Harry could see the calculating shift in the old man's eyes before he gestured around the shop with a grand gesture.

"I am surrounded by magical items of great history and power every day Mr Potter, some handed down through my family, some bequeathed to me by friends after they passed on to the next life. Selling even half of the artefacts in my possession would allow me to become the richest man in Britain, assuming that the Inquisition didn't try and confiscate them 'for the greater good' of course." The smile on Ollivander's face faded a little as he turned back to Harry.

"But riches and 'power' have little meaning when you reach my age, and artefacts like this aren't meant to gather dust in wand shops like this, wouldn't you agree?" Harry could tell that Ollivander was deliberately lending credence to both of the theories that had surrounded him in Harry's original world, that either the Ollivander family had been around as long as claimed on the store front and had the family history and relics to prove it, OR that the Ollivander that had founded the wand shop was the same Ollivander that was stood before him.

"Erm, well I think that depends on what they are used for, I personally would prefer items to be gathering dust rather than being used for evil..." Ollivander seemed to judge him on his answer for a moment, the world dimming slightly in the now familiar manner Harry recognised as the game kicking in, the box of text in front of him reinforcing this thought a moment later.

New Long Term Secret Quest Discovered: Ollivander's shop of many things

Ollivander's wand shop is a mystery to many of the wizards in Britain, both because of the man's mannerisms and the mythos behind the craft of wand making. Through luck and circumstance, you have discovered that there is even more hidden in the shop than meets the eye, grabbing Ollivander's interest as you do.

Old men are some of the most difficult quest givers, given their love for mystery and the chance to feel superior over the young uns, but keep impressing Ollivander when you visit Diagon alley and the rewards may be worth their weight in gold...

Quest 1 of ? : Old Men and their foibles- Complete (100 xp)

You have noticed an object out of place in Ollivander's shop, perhaps you should investigate...

Main Objective:

Investigate the out of place object (1/1)

Rewards:

Gauntlet of Saladin's Shadow

50 reputation (Ollivander)

Quest 2 of ?: A question of power and responsibility

Ollivander has caught you in his trap, but his interest seems benign and he seems more interested in you for your awareness than because of who you are. It would be good to keep the interest that way...

Main Objective:

Continue talking with Ollivander as he questions you regarding your abilities (0/1)

Bonus Objectives:

?

?

Not much to go on then, but then again since passing the tutorial many of the quests he had received fell more in the 'vague and open ended' category then the 'clear and to the point' he would have much prefered.

"A rather mature outlook for such a young boy, but the ideal of good and evil is always subjective, similar to the idea of heroes and villains... Still, onto more important matters, whilst the Gauntlet's enchantments will aid you with illusion spell casting it cannot actually weave magic to create spells, so we still need to find you a partner Mr Potter. I wonder, are there any other items that have caught your interest?" Now, Harry was nowhere near as smart as Hermione, but even he could pick up on Ollivander's subtle implication that he suspected Harry had some hidden powers.

"Just a couple, I was drawn to the the gauntlet and something off in this direction, but sensing is very draining on my magic and after earlier I don't think I can activate it again." He gestured deeper into the shop, where the brightest glow had come from, not exactly anything specific about his Magic Sense but Ollivander looked delighted nonetheless.

+50 relationship (Ollivander)

+1 honesty

+1 guile

Achievement unlocked: The truth, but not the whole truth (Gain both an honesty point and a guile point in a single conversation test)- +1 Charisma

"Marvellous, I haven't encountered another magic sensor in a very long time, or at least one with enough affinity to actually detect personally suitable enchanted items. Lead on Mr Potter, let's see what your magic is drawing you too." It made sense, Ollivander being a magic sensor would definitely make matching wands and wizards a lot easier, but as Harry headed in the direction of the area he had spotted the brightest glow he found himself delving deeper into the wand shop than he ever had before.

"Ah, I see what your own senses detected now Mr Potter, how very interesting. I wouldn't have pegged you for this wand based on what I have heard and seen of you, but perhaps that is an oversight on my behalf..." And with that the wizened wand maker was back to his forte, bustling past Harry to grab a wand case from about halfway up the shelf, looking at it with the eager reverence that could only be mustered by a craftsman looking at one of his best designs made manifest.

"This wand is one that I crafted in my youth, probably the rarest type of wand core in here now that I think about it, and very picky in its tastes. Just like the donor of the core component if I am honest, not that she would have minded being referred to as such I imagine..." Ollivander opened the wand case and with a pair of long and wizened fingers extracted a surprisingly simple looking wand of about 8 inches in length.

It was still elegantly carved and fit for purpose, but it was as if Ollivander had done the bare minimum in terms of crafting and deliberately left it at that. Looking upon it though Harry could feel a 'pull' on his magic towards it one, even without any of his skills active, something that was reinforced by another text window appearing.

New passive skill unlocked (magic sense/observation/search lvl 3): Attenuation level 1 (0%)

Attenuation: Your magical core is now focussed enough that it can sense items of high compatibility without the need to use active spells. The player will feel a 'pull' on their magic when near to a non-player owned compatible item, with the effective range increasing with level and magic sense related abilities. Though of course, just because an item is compatible with the player doesn't mean he is entitled to it so easily!

Current range: 3 m

Huh, well that skill was either going to be highly useful or very, very annoying. Harry could already imagine the number of objects in the Room of Requirement that Attenuation would react to, let alone across the entire castle.

"Do you know of Godlings Mr Potter?" Ollivander's voice drew him back to the present, and after a moment of wracking his brain Harry shook his head.

"No I haven't Mr Ollivander, is that the creature the wand's core came from?" Ollivander nodded approvingly, twirling the wand between his fingers in what was obviously a well practiced and subconscious action.

"Indeed it is Mr Potter, and whilst I don't want to ruin your opportunity to do all the research into them, I will give you the basics. Godlings are one of the few pocket creatures that the Inquisition have relinquished their 'kill on sight' orders for, primarily because it has been found that unless physically attacked with the intent to injure, Godlings will not use violence if it at all possible." Not exactly what Harry had in mind for a creature whose hair made up his potential core component, but given that he had heard similar things about Centaurs and the complete opposite about Werewolves he would hold his breath for now.

"They do not covet wealth or power, or at least, not in the way we would perceive it. Instead, they are known for inhabiting wildlands near small settlements and becoming a 'guardian' for those living in that settlement, though they prefer to aid without being noticed or praised for their efforts. There are many recorded cases of these shy and child-like beings becoming integral to the community of the village or using their magic to avert disaster or destruction that would have otherwise have engulfed the settlements entirely."

"If they act like that, why have I not heard of them? Surely they would still be quite common given their reputation..." Ollivander looked saddened for the first time in the conversation, twirling his fingers around the wand as if it provided him with comfort before taking a sharp breath.

"When the Inquisition first imposed themselves upon the world, traditionalists declared themselves freedom fighters and opposed them at every turn, both sides targeting supporters of the other not only on the battlefield but in the small villages and towns that wizarding kind inhabit. Given the godling's protective nature of those it calls its own many ended up opposing the two sides attacks, and for their honour and benevolence they were cut down in droves by both the Inquisition and the traditionalists. It is a hotly debated topic as to whether the Godling's were wiped out to the point that they have since died out due to lack of numbers, or whether they retreated from our world to protect what little remains of their kind."

Honourable and protective of those they consider friends, even to the point of self sacrifice on the battlefield... Now Harry could see why the wand and he might get along, as far as he was concerned those were the two best traits for someone to have as defining characteristics. Shame that from the sounds of it he wouldn't get the chance to meet a Godling in person, would have been a nice chance to meet someone with the same ideals that he had. The sound of the bell signalling the shop door opening prompted a loud snort from what Harry could only assume was Sirius awakening, signalling that his current opportunity to chat with Ollivander was over.

"Well Mr Potter, unless this wand has a massive change of heart I think we can agree that this is the wand for you. Give it a wave and then we can head out to the front to see who else has come visiting my humble abode..." With a casual twirl Ollivander turned the wand so that it was extended to Harry haft first, Harry reaching out with his right hand to grab it tentatively.

There was a small flash as his hand touched the wand and suddenly Harry could see murky images in his mind's eye, an ancient tree in a swamp of some kind, a clear river running down a hillside, and a gate beneath a waterfall. The details about each image were too blurry to make out, like someone had taken a Polaroid picture of each scene very badly, but Harry knew they were important even before he was cast back into the real world and presented with several glinting text boxes.

New Long Term Secret Quest Unlocked: Fate of the Godlings

Once considered in the same bracket of magical creature as unicorns, Godlings have disappeared from the world since the end of World War 2 and the rise of the Inquisition. Many think they have withdrawn to the pocket universe, or been wiped out whilst trying to protect their chosen villages. Upon gaining the Godling wand however, the player received visions of three locations in the world, though the images were too blurry to make out other specifics.

Could these be some kind of clue to the location of the remaining Godlings? Or are these images merely the memories of the Godling hair donor, on their last journey that heralded the disappearance of their kind?

Quest 1 of ?: Divining the truth

Raise Divination skill to 25 or gain perk (Natural Seer)

Bonus Objectives

?

?

So Divination could actually be useful? Harry never thought he would see the day, but he supposed it would be good to actually improve his divination skills if they would help with quests like this. And he couldn't remember seeing the perk natural seer anywhere on the perks list when he started, but it was something he resolved to check when he got home and wasn't surrounded by other people, perhaps the list had updated itself since then.

As the light dimmed Ollivander was beaming with unconcealed glee even as Sirius appeared round the set of shelves leading to where they were stood.

"Harry, you alright?" Despite his still bleary eyed sleepiness, Sirius had his wand out and ready just in case, though he did relax a little when Ollivander clapped his hands together with a hearty chuckle that seemed out of place for the normally reserved wand crafter.

+50 relationship (Ollivander)

"Marvellous, to see such initial compatibility between wand and owner is something that I have not seen in many, many years! And to think that the bond will almost certainly grow with time, you are very lucky indeed Mr Potter, very lucky!" Ollivander looked like he wanted to start dancing with joy, and now that he had calmed down from focussing on the data from the game Harry could feel the thrum of energy around him, similar to what happened when he had first touched his phoenix feather wand back in the world of grey.

"Well, don't think I have heard of someone glowing from interacting with their wand for the first time pup, Ayra will be so jealous. But I think you should head out to the front of the shop Harry, Ollivander and I will settle up and I will meet you there." Sirius' face had relaxed from his tenseness earlier, and now he had his usual cheeky grin that Harry now recognised as his 'prank' face.

"No payment is required for this wand Mr Black." Though the smile was still on Ollivander's face, his eyes were serious as he held up his hand imperiously. "It was one of the stipulations when I was gifted the core component for this wand, and I am not one to break my word on such an agreement. Mr Potter has expressed an interest in my extensive knowledge and family magics though, and I would be loath to let such enthusiasm pass without the chance to tutor someone in my craft."

Sirius looked surprised by this, turning to look at Harry before shrugging to himself and taking his hand from his belt, Harry casting a questioning glance at Ollivander who merely winked at him before Sirius turned back to the wand maker.

Quest: To become a wand's wielder!- Completed

You have found the wand for you (or at least, one that is prepared to suffer you rather than remain in this stuffy wand shop). Now you can truly call yourself a wand wielder in a non-perverted manner. If only you could learn some magic, then you might actually not be a disgrace to the name of a wizard.

Main Objective:

Find and pay for your new wand (Personal Wand acquired, Magical Skills unlocked)

Bonus Objectives:

Find a wand within an hour (failed)

Find a wand within 2 hours (+100 xp, ?)

Find a wand before closing time (+20 relationship Sirius, +20 relationship Ollivander)

Investigate the shop whilst waiting (Ollivander's shop of many things Quest unlocked)

Find a suitable wand without Ollivander noticing (failed)

"Well, if Harry wants to 'enjoy' such teachings, Freya would kill me for saying no. Of course, we only have a month before he is due at Hogwarts, so he will not have much time before his first year..." Deciding that he could leave the two of them to work out if and when he could visit Ollivander's again, Harry decided to grab his foster father's bait and walked back out to the front of the shop, casting a quick Magical Observation at his 'new' wand as he did so.

Wand Compatibility- 72% (-20% difficulty to all spells, +11% damage/duration of all spells)

Only 72% compatibility? Given the almost electric sensation that was slowly dying down across his skin, as well as the comments from Ollivander and Sirius, Harry had honestly expected something much higher. Still, the other benefits more than made up for his less than perfect compatibility, and maybe that just meant that everyone else had much lower compatibility than he had.

"Harry!" The call of his name drew him from his thoughts just in time for him to open his arms and intercept the flying bullet that was Hermione, a quick glance through the frizzy brown hair that threatened to engulf his vision showed that she wasn't alone, almost half a dozen families stood around and headed by a very familiar witch.

"Who are you again?" Hermione huffed and released the hug at his playful question, her hurt expression only lasting until she caught sight of his grin, her mother chuckling from where she was stood watching the two of them.

"Harry, don't be so mean!" Despite himself Harry couldn't help but keep grinning even as he turned to Emma and gave a small bow.

"Mrs Granger, it is nice to see you and your daughter again, shopping for her first year I assume?" Emma nodded but was interrupted by Professor McGonagall before she could say anything in response.

"Indeed, it is traditional for Hogwarts students from non-magical backgrounds to be escorted on their first trip to Diagon Alley by a member of the staff, so that any questions they have can be answered straight away. I am Professor McGonagall, and I assume you have the 'joy' of Lord Black accompanying you today Mr Potter?" Despite her still stern tone and expression, Harry couldn't help but feel that McGonagall looked a lot less weary than he remembered her from his first year, certainly the emphasis on the word joy is something that showed a dry humour he hadn't seen before.

"My mum was busy with the others, so Sirius got to take me shopping, we would have probably been done by now if he hadn't spent ages at the prank shop trying to get me to buy things." As Harry had guessed, the mention of pranks made McGonagall's lips tighten even further before she excused herself and headed into the shop, probably to give his Godfather a 'polite' talking to.

"So, whilst they are busy, let me introduce myself everyone and welcome you to the wizarding world. I am Harry Potter and I will be a first year with you guys, so if you have any questions about the weirdness of the wizarding world feel free to ask." It was more than a little disconcerting to have half a dozen families staring at him, but Harry managed to bury his anxiety and keep a friendly smile on his face before turning and holding a hand up to stop Hermione before she could unleash her wave of questions.

"Hermione, you get 3 questions then you have to let the others have a chance..." The joyful expression on Hermione's face faded into a look of consternation, the young girl obviously now running through her questions mentally to determine which three she was going to ask.

"Harry was it? Could you tell us why there are all the people in armour out on the Alley?" It had been a couple of hours since the attack, and given the lack of concern by the adults the Inquisition must have already cleared up the scene, the increased numbers probably for the same reason Harry had been concerned about after the attack, not that he would tell them that.

New Quest: Making Friends and Influencing People

Sirius has inadvertently sent you out to one of the non-magical shopping tours as part of a 'prank', and you have rather selflessly offered to answer any questions the children or parents have. Depending on how you answer these questions will alter the view of these families towards the magical world as a whole, as well as how they view you as well.

Main Objective: Answer the Questions!

"They are part of an organisation known as the Inquisition, and before you baulk at the name the connotations are nothing like the Spanish Inquisition you hear of in the middle ages, or in Monty Python..." The last remark brought a chuckle from a couple of the parents, Harry glad that Sirius considered Monty Python a vital component of their lives after discovering proper television after graduating and meeting Freya, the sketch in question something that Sirius used in his mockeries of the Inquisition soldiers who pissed him off.

"I don't suppose Professor McGonagall has told you much about wizarding history?" Seeing the shaking of heads and generally unsure expressions on the assembled faces, Harry settled himself in one of the chairs and began to explain what he knew of the history regarding the pocket realm, it's denizens and the role of the Inquisition in dealing with outbreaks.

It was the most watered down version Harry could manage, and definitely nothing to do with the weakening of the wards by Dumbledore and Grindelwald, since Harry wasn't actually sure if that was known by many people at all. Despite his attempts to keep it short and to the point, it was at least half an hour later that he wound down his explanation of Wizarding history and answering the questions from those listening, Ollivander having appeared and taken measurements for Hermione and the others whilst he did so.

"Very well explained Mr Potter, if we were at Hogwarts I would give you house points. Given we have only just started the guided trip I was going to explain and answer questions like this as we go, but perhaps another perspective would be beneficial and allow you to bond with your fellow classmat..." McGonagall paused in her speech as she looked round the gathered first years for a moment before frowning.

"We are missing Ms Rose, she was behind me as we walked up but I cannot specifically remember..." Assuming this was one of the first year students, Harry wasn't overly surprised when a quest notification appeared a moment later.

New Quest: The case of the curious wanderer.

One of the new first years has gone missing on the way to the wand shop, not a good thing given the traditionalists views on first generation magic users, so finding them is not just important for the shopping trip but for the other first years peace of mind as well...

Main objective:

Find the missing child before anything bad happens to them (05:00)

Bonus Objectives:

?

?

Easy enough in terms of the quest, and Harry had a suspicion of what at least one of the bonus objectives was based on the ones the game had been giving him thus far.

"Sirius and I can go look for this girl Professor, just give us a description and where you've been so we know where to start and we will have her back here in no time." To his credit Sirius didn't seem put off by the idea, nodding firmly when McGonagall cast a glance in his direction, though when she turned back to Harry there was approval in her eyes.

"That would be most helpful Mr Potter, Ms Rose is probably three inches shorter than you, quite slim with dark red hair and she is wearing a dark red summer dress with matching scarf and hood. We came here straight from the Leaky Cauldron, though we did stop by Flourish and Blotts so I could explain to Ms Granger about the different types of shops and what each of them sold, we very nearly lost her to go hunting through the books then didn't we Ms Granger?" Hermione blushed, though to Harry that did seem like exactly the sort of thing she would do, maybe this girl Rose was the same?

"And then when you are done Mr Potter we will carry on our previous conversation, I think we have significantly more to discuss..." With that rather cryptic instruction from Ollivander, Harry was quick to leave the shop, the timer for the quest to find the girl hadn't disappeared and he had lost almost thirty seconds already.

The Alley had livened up again in the time they had been in the wand shop, though it still wasn't as busy as it had been at times in Harry's old world. Walking down the street towards Flourish and Blotts, Harry had his eyes peeled for any kind of disturbance, given the way the quest was worded it was just as likely that he would find a confrontation as a little girl lost in the street.

"Do you want to check the bookstore Harry? I will check in with the patrolling Aurors and make sure they haven't taken her in and then go down to the Leaky Cauldron. When you've checked the bookshop wait near the entrance and I will come and pick you up, if we haven't found the girl by then we can alert the Inquisition troops so they can help us." Sirius' attempt to subtly keep Harry from wandering the streets by himself was slightly annoying, but Harry had to remind himself that 'officially' he was still 11 years old.

"Okay Uncle Sirius, though it shouldn't take me too long to look through the shop..." Sirius smiled and ruffled his hair before they reached Flourish and Blotts and parted ways, a screen appearing a moment later to show he had gained another +10 relationship points with the old marauder.

Moving into Flourish and Blotts Harry was quick to don the wizards hat that served as his concealment measure in case he ever got separated from his foster parents, the hat quickly applying a glamour that hid the hat and changed his appearance to that of a brown haired blue eyed boy.

It only had an effective illusion skill of five, meaning that it was technically a less powerful illusion than one he could create now if he knew the spells, but for now it was a good fame deterrent if nothing else. The shop was fairly busy, with a dozen wizards and witches perusing the various bookshelves in view, not doubt a fair few more deeper into the magically enlarged bookshop. Moving through towards the first of the bookshelves Harry had to stop himself from reacting violently when he caught sight of two of the people he hated the most in the world.

Draco Malfoy and his father were perusing books with the same arrogant manner that Harry had always associated with them in the World of Grey, though Mrs Malfoy was nowhere to be seen. The fact these two were here made it much more likely that this girl was in here, and judging by the fact there was barely a minute left on the timer and they were headed further into the shop, Harry could guess where they were headed and therefore roughly where this Rose girl was.

Shifting forwards as quickly but un-obviously as he could, the last thing he wanted to do was draw Malfoy's attention to him instead, slipping down the aisle ahead of the blonde pair and casting an eye down each of the rows of his 'target.'

Even with the screen effectively telling Harry he had seen the girl he almost missed her, the dark red of her clothing working surprisingly well to allow her to fade into the fairly dark insides of the book store.

Awareness test passed (11)

Knowing he only had a few moments before Malfoy came and probably started causing trouble, Harry strode as quickly between the shelves as he could, the girl seemingly engrossed in a book and not noticing his approach until he coughed from almost directly behind her.

"Excuse me, Ms Rose?" The girl obviously hadn't heard him approach given the almost violent manner in which she spun round, speaking rapidly as she placed the book back on the shelf.

"I was just giving it a quick browse whilst I waited for the Hogwarts lady to come and find me again! Oh, sorry, I thought you were the store lady coming round again..." Harry found himself only half listening as he finally saw the girl's face, even with the red hair cut to a short length that barely cleared her jawline there was no mistaking the same eyes that he looked into every morning in the mirror, Harry freezing in place as he found himself staring at what could only be this universe's version of Lily Evans...

A/N: Mwahaha! I can already hear the reviews coming in... I look forward to everyone telling me that my portrayal of Lily as a character from another series is me playing her out of character. Kudos to those who know what series I am drawing my Lily from, for those that don't I am sure at least one review will tell you where it is from quickly enough.

Ollivander is a fun character even in the original Harry Potter Universe, and I love the idea of him being a magic sensor who uses his shop as a testing ground to find other sensors for him to experime *Cough* I mean teach *Cough*.

People writing this kind of story, whether gamer or timetravel, tend to either have Harry pick up a hugely overpowered wand for 'reasons' or they have him stick with the same wand despite no longer having the Horcrux link. I hope that people like my portrayal of a wand selection process, with the homage to the godlings in the Witcher series being my chosen magical creature for Harry's wand core.

People will have noticed that I haven't revealed the Gauntlet's stats, there is a reason for that, primarily because Harry has been rather busy moving straight from one point to another, but also because I haven't fully decided what abilities I am going to give it and what level caps I am going to put on most of them. Any ideas? Also, any other areas of history that people think would be cool to have historical magical artefacts from?

Shout out to ExcitedNekoKun, sorry for not including the Tonberry Lantern as a magical foci that Harry could find, but I just couldn't work out how to make it be in Ollivander's shop. At least the Gauntlet I can put down to Ollivander using it as a test/trap, my plans for the Lantern don't fit that criteria, though I promise you there ARE plans... *Insert another evil laugh here*

This is my longest chapter by at least a thousand words, and it is also rather quickly following on from the previous one.

So, I expect lots of review love for the effort I have put into actually finishing this chapter, as it seemed to just drag itself further and further down the rabbit hole... As always people, feel free to give me ideas, they provide me inspiration even if they aren't used directly.
