Chapter 1

I do not own Highschool dxd I have also made changes to the original story I started to write. I ran the story through grammar and spell checker multiple times now. I want to thank those that gave feedback on the original version so hopefully this version will be easier to read and more enjoyable. There is new content in this version. The first four chapters consist mainly of the original story I wrote with some changes and anything after that will be new. I will also do my best to limit chapters to no longer than 7000 words to make it easier to read and have stopping points. I am trying to become a better writer and fix issues when brought to my attention. In the previous version I was writing on multiple computers and then merging the documents together which caused sentences to loose continuity. I honestly thought changes and corrections would transfer but now I know one of my mistakes. So Please enjoy.

"Sire, your new son and daughter are healthy and Lady Phenix is recovering. Would you like to see the children?" The plump maid said without letting her voice quiver as she bowed her head and averted her eyes from Lord Phenix.

Lord Rual Phenix looked at the maid and set his glass of scotch down cleared his throat to get the maids attention and nodded his affirmative. Lord Phenix looked at his other three sons and motioned for them to follow. Ruval, Rexal and Riser each stood up in turn and followed their father to the other room where their mother and two youngest siblings where.

Lord Phenix came into the room and strode over to his wife and leaned in and kissed her forehead as he gazed upon the two babes in her arms. "You did well my dear. May I hold one?" Lady Phenix smiled a tired smile and handed the baby boy up to his father's waiting arms. Lord Phenix took the boy and looked at his face and remarked "He has your eyes my dear. Boys come meet your brother Risen and your sister Ravel."

The three men walked over to their father as commanded and looked at the children. Rexal looked at his father and said "father I sense Risen has a power on par with Riser already." Riser glared at his older brother and scoffed through clinched teeth "Rexal to claim a babe has power even close to Risers is an insult and I won't stand for it. I chall…" Lord Phenix in a commanding voice "Riser! Your brother is correct and there will be no challenges today. You are 18 and need to be in better control of yourself."

Riser bowed his head to his father and glared at the babe with a seed of hate starting in his heart as he said "Yes father as you command. May I go train with my peerage?" Lord Phenix acquiesced and let Riser leave.

Ruval grinned at Rexal and said "you didn't need to needle him, he is power hungry and has had everything handed to him and you know it."

Rexal chuckled "you know I can't help it that brat needs to be taken down a peg. He hasn't even had an unofficial rating game yet and he acts like he is tough shit. Besides I didn't, lie this kid is going to be something. He may even be able to challenge you one day to be the next head."

Ruval grinned back "if that is the case then it will be a few centuries away. Maybe Riser will take it as motivation to train harder."

Lord Phenix looked at the two and then at his youngest son in his arms as the babe shifted pulling his little hands out of the blanket and scratched his own face with his nails. The red marks started to have small flames come off as they disappeared from the babes face.

The two men and their father's eyes widened. "Father did he just access the regenerative ability? Has that ever happened before? I mean there should be no way without training to access his magic he should be able to do that." Rexal said.

"Rexal, I want you to go to the clan library and look into this. And do not say anything to anyone you two. It's a good thing your mother is still out of it and her attention is on your sister." Lord Phenix held the babe out just a bit and then looked over his shoulder to his drowsy wife. And made a decision to place a seal on his youngest son's power. He summoned a magic circle and placed it on his son's chest.

The two men watched their father and Ruval cleared his throat. "That seal will wear off you know but that also means" Lord Phenix glared at Ruval "don't question me and I know perfectly well the ramifications. But I don't need a babe or toddler using magic until old enough to train. And I don't want this child to be dependent on his powers because he always had them. I made the mistake of training Riser in magic before his physical training and education as a devil. I won't do that again."

"Father I am not questioning you and I do agree but he is not even two hours old and a seal being placed on him. I don't think we understand enough of what's going on to make such a decision now. Is all I was trying to convey? And besides what will mother say?" Ruval said.

"Your mother will not know and it is done now. Rexal Why are you still standing here didn't I tell you to go." Lord Phenix said in more of a command then an actual question.

Rexal turned on his heel and left at a brisk pace. Ruval walked over to his mother and gripped her hand as she slept holding the baby girl. "Father I need to go back to my estate." "Ruval as my heir you need to take an active role in the politics of our station. You need to put the affairs of your estate in order and you will be going to court with me. But we will not tell the 4 devil kings about your brother until I know what to do."

Ruval left the room and Lord Phenix went over by the bed his wife and daughter where at and switched the babies places so he could hold his youngest child for the first time. The doctor walked into the room and cleared his throat. "Lord Phenix I need to take the children for the exam."

Lord Phenix nodded and closed his eyes as the babies where picked up and taken to the exam room the doctors set up in the mansion. Lord Phenix considered how to deal with his young son and a grin spread across his face as plans for the strongest Phenix in history started to fill his thoughts.

4 and a half Years Later:

Risen and Ravel Phenix were sitting in the small room at the two desks that had been placed in the center of the room. The twins waited and in walked a short dark haired man of Asian descent with a knowing gaze and a soft smile. "My name is Mr. Goodman and I will be your instructor. We will cover reading, writing, mathematics and histories of the human and underworld. Your father Lord Phenix has stated that you two will be with me for three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon. And you will be conducting etiquette class for an hour, physical training for an hour with a one hour break for meals than one hour for play time before meeting me back in this room at 2 pm. Mistress Ravel your father has you scheduled for the same times but instead of physical training you will go to Lady Phenix for training. Class begins at 8 am sharp and I will not tolerate tardiness. Your father stated any disciplinary issues will be brought directly to him. You may call me sensei or Mr. Goodman. Do you have any questions?"

Risen looked over at his sister and back to Mr. Goodman "Why does she get to go with momma and what is physical training? And why only an hour for play time? This is so boring I just want to play now."

Ravel shook her head in agreement with her brother and opened her mouth then shut it as Mr. Goodman held his hand out.

"Young master Physical training is improving your body and making you stronger, Play time is a privilege and not a right. Your sister will have different expectations place upon her so she will be trained directly by Lady Phenix. Now let us begin." Goodman turned to the Marker board and started to write things on the board. Goodman began with the basics and started to teach the children explaining sounds and why combining letters a certain way makes other sounds. And so the children's education began.

A little later Risen walked down to the training ground gob smacked that he was actually allowed to enter. He saw his two oldest brothers exchanging blows and each of their peerages teamed up sparring. Riser was off to the side lounging in a chair surrounded by two of his knights with their tops pulled down and Riser staring at them. Risen continued over to Zale the training master and presented himself. Zale looked at the boy and addressed him "Young Master Risen your training was to start 10 minutes ago. As punishment you owe me 25 pushups and 15 laps around the arena. When you get done come back here and we will begin your training."

Ruval and Rexal looked over at Zale and then at their youngest brother as he got down into the pushup position in the sand as he started and 2 in his arms where shaking and he was arching his back. Zale reached down and grabbed the boy by the belt loop on his trousers and lifted him from the ground "Your father said proper physical training and that is not a proper pushup. Your back needs to be straight. Eyes forward and you will go down to a forty five degree angle. Now begin again and I will count your proper pushups." Risen started again and Zale began to count "One, One, One, two, three, four, four, and five …" after what seemed to Risen to be days Zale called a halt at 21. "Young master Risen get up and go eat the time for today is done. Come back after lunch to finish your punishment."

Risen looked up wide eyed sweating and sore "But that's my play time." Zale looked at the boy and growled "Then don't be late if you want to play." Risen bowed his head and walked away towards the exit and found himself face down on the ground when he tripped over something.

His brother Riser sneered down "you can't even stay on your feet you maggot. Stay out of Riser's way there is no way you will ever match Riser's power." Riser stepped over the boy and started to walk away when he felt sand hit him in the back and he looked back to his young brother whose hands where clinched and tears streaming down his face "You stupid chicken bird butthead. You tripped me I wasn't in your way you did it on purpose." Rexal walked over to risen and put his hand on the boys head "Riser leave now, and tell your peerage to keep their cloths on during training."

Riser glared at his older brother and stormed off. Rexal reached for Risen's hand as Ruval stepped up and said to his youngest brother "just call him a Yakatori it means chicken and it's not as long as stupid chicken bird butthead. Now let us go eat." The three brothers went together and met the rest of their family in the dining room.

Lord Phenix looked at his youngest son and asked how his day was going and just nodded as the boy told him his day had gone and that he didn't get play time today. Lord Phenix nodded along and felt his wife's hand squeeze his arm "Dear he is still so little can he have his playtime back?" Lord Phenix looked at his wife and shook his head no. "Veronica we agreed that you could baby him for the first 4 years and after that he was mine. I gave you an additional 6 months. It is good for him to toughen up."

Risen sighed his mother couldn't help him. He looked over to his sister and smiled when she handed him her pudding and he devoured it.

That evening was the sorest Risen had ever felt and he thought he was going to die with how tired he was. He walked down to his father's study to say goodnight and knocked on the door "Sir, goodnight and love you." Lord Phenix looked at the boy and motioned for him to step in "Risen goodnight." Lord Phenix set down the photograph in his hand and Risen looked at the girl in the photo who had red hair and looked like his age. And asked his father "Who's that?" Lord Phenix said "She is Rias Gremory and I am making a business deal with her father, you will meet her tomorrow. Now go to bed son." Lord Phenix turned his son around and gently pushed him towards the door.

Risen went upstairs and walked into the room he used to share with his sister and climbed into bed. A few minutes later a little girl came in and crawled into the bed and snuggled up to her brother "I couldn't sleep." Risen just said "Me neither I don't like that you moved to the other room. I know I will knock three times on the wall and put my hand on it and you put your hand on it and then you know I am here with you."

Ravel smiled at her brother and said "Tomorrow ok." The Children fell asleep and Lord Phenix stepped in the room after listening and picked his daughter up and moved her to her own room and then went to bed himself.

The next morning Risen got up excited to meet someone new. Risen ran down the stairs excited. His lessons where put on hold for the day so he could meet his father's guest and the young boy was giddy with anticipation to meet someone his age. As he reached the dining room for breakfast Risen noticed his sister, mother and father sitting. Risen then saw three people with crimson hair already at the table two men and a girl.

When Risen took his seat his father made the introductions. "Moa Sirzechs, Lord Gremory, Lady Rias this is my youngest son Risen and his sister Ravel they are close to your age Rias and I have arranged for them to show you around the estate. Let's eat breakfast and then you children can go find something to occupy yourselves."

The group ate and made pleasant conversation and then the when the meal was finished Lady Phenix and the children left the three men alone. Lord Phenix looked at Sirzechs "Moa not that I am not pleased to have you visit but you have me at a disadvantage as to why you are here."

Sirzechs looked at Lord Phenix and Lord Gremory then said "Lord Phenix, I understand you and my father have made a deal for a union between our families but I don't approve of taking the choice away from my sister since she is so young. What can I offer you to call it off?"

Lord Gremory looked at his son "Sirzechs, this is a contract to unite two pillars and make sure our house doesn't go extinct. The agreement of intention has been signed and to not continue on would be devastating as war would be the only option at this point. This also eases the business relations of our houses."

Lord Phenix took a breath in and said "Sirzechs I understand your concerns but I can't call off the engagement. I will agree that if it comes down to it I will allow a rating game or a dual to decide the engagement but you cannot be her champion. Besides she can have a choice between Riser and Risen, since neither are in the line of succession for my house since my oldest sons now have children of their own I won't even require my grandchildren from the union to carry the Phenix name and the children can have lands in both estates."

Sirzechs looked at lord Phenix and sighed "You have made more concessions then I thought. Not what I wanted but let's put this in writing as a Mao amendment and there three magical copies of the contract linked so any changes can be seen and I want a copy to keep myself since I do have a Mao addendum attached." Lord Phenix grinned and said "then let us go to my study to write up the paperwork and finalize the contract. Moa, Lord Gremory please follow me."

The children went to the pond in the garden under the watchful eye of Lady Phenix and played games near the water. Risen, Ravel and Rias became fast friends and talked about all their likes and dislikes.

Over the next couple of months the children played more and more often. Rias, Ravel and Risen became almost as close as Risen and Ravel where. The biggest difference was Risen began to think Rias was the prettiest person he had ever met. Rias thought her best friend was cute.

4Six Years Later:

"Ise come back here it's not fair that, I am in a dress." Ravel yelled at her twin. The two didn't look very much alike Ravel having dirty blond hair and brown eyes and her brother Risen or Ise as Ravel and her mother call him having a brown hair and golden brown eyes with flecks of green depending on his mood. Ise took after his mother and didn't share very many features with his other siblings. Down to the teasing carefree attitude he held most of the time.

"Nope can't help it that I am faster than you." Ise picked up the pace and sprinted through the garden turning his head over his shoulder to tease Ravel some more he slammed hard into someone. Turning to see who he hit and to apologize his eyes widened at the look of hatred on his brother Risers you."

"Dammit you little shit you got your filth all over my tailored suit. I am going to kill you Risen."

Ise looked at his older brother and his mouth wouldn't work right away as Riser grabbed the front of Ise's tunic and slammed his fist into Ise's face. Ise grimaced but didn't cry at the pain for he learned that riser would keep going if Ise cried. With a huff riser pushed his brother back and yelled "What do you have to say for yourself you piece of garbage?"

Ise glared back at his older brother and replied "It was an accident I wasn't looking where I was going I am sorry brother." Ise spit a little blood on the ground but it didn't go where he planned and the blood sprayed a bit and some landed on Risers boot.

Riser reached for Ise again and swung at him but this time Ise ducked backed up and took off running and yelled "stupid Yakatori it was an accident." As the boy continued to run he spotted his mother and went straight to her. Grabbing her skirt he tried to hide from his brother.

Lady Phenix looked at her youngest son and scolded Ise "why are you, you filthy we have guests coming and you need to be presentable. Now go bathe and change and be ready the Mao and his little sister will be here soon. And where is your sister?"

"Yes mother, and uh she is on her way I kind of left her in the garden maze as a joke."

"Ise go clean up now and I will deal with you later. Now hurry before I get cross."

Ise nodded and took off on his way to his room a hand grabbed him by back of his shirt turned him around and slammed a fist into his gut. Riser's eyes were red with rage and pushed the boy against the wall. "You ruined my boot with your filthy blood, you soiled my cloths and you dared to talk back to the great Riser. I will kill you for your disrespect boy." Ise gulped and whispered "father won't let you Yakatori. I have to go get changed."

Ise slipped his brothers grasp and went to his room. He dropped his dirty cloths and walked to the bath and turned on the shower. He felt the bruise on his stomach and groaned. Why did his brother hate him sure he was older but want an older brother supposed to look after the younger. His other brothers treated him well. Heck they even invited him to play with his nephews and took him to see rating games. Why couldn't he do the same with Riser?

Ise finished the shower and dressed in fresh cloths and walked out of his room. He spotted Yulabella down the hall and ran up to her. "Hey Bella how are you? Do you know when the moa will get here?"

"Young Master Risen the Mao is already here and I was sent to fetch you and take you to the dining room."

"Bella why would my brother send his queen to get me?" Ise looked with hope that maybe his brother didn't hate him.

"He didn't, Lady Phenix sent me." Yulabella smiled at the boy and straightened his collar. "We need to go now."

Ise and Yulabella walked down the hall and entered the dining hall and Ise was caught off guard when he saw a tall man with crimson hare and a girl about his age with crimson hair who looked familiar talking to his father. Ise walked to where his brother, mother and sister stood behind his father. Lord Phenix turned and looked at Risen and said "Now that my wayward child is back. As you already know Riser won his first rating game yesterday, this is my youngest son Risen and his twin sister Ravel. You met them before when they were younger. The children have had regular play times over the last few years."

Sirzechs grinned at the three young children. "How about you three go find something to occupy yourself while your father and I have a talk."

The three children walked away to go to the veranda overlooking the garden.

Sirzechs and Lord Phenix began with pleasantries then moved into what the Moa wanted to discuss, Sirzechs looked at Riser then back to Lord Phenix. "I have concerns about Riser's age and some of the things I have heard have not put me at ease. My sister is very precious to me and it has been brought to my attention that Riser while strong may not be a good fit for Rias. She gets along well with the younger brother. I would like to encourage that relationship and have Riser marry another."

Lord Phenix Looked at the Moa and considered his response "Moa, I have already put the terms in the contract to give a choice at your insistence. I cannot arrange a marriage for Riser until the children are old enough."

Riser stood there fuming. The Riser being forced to be put up against that garbage of a brother for anything was Ludacris and he wouldn't stand for it. His anger started to swirl in his mind and he motioned for Yulabella to follow as he left the dining hall. Riser grabbed her and took her to his room where he proceeded to take out his frustrations upon her not caring if she consented or not.

Ise, Ravel and Rias where talking on the veranda and giggling together. Ise Jumped Up onto the railing and began to mimic his teacher to the full extent of his ability. "Now young Lord Phenix Japan is the land of the Rising son and is chalked full of history. It was once a country that had samurai and ninjas along with a strict code of ethics. The cherry blossoms and festivals are some of the best on earth and when you leave the underworld you need to visit." Ise jumped down and Ravel burst out laughing "You nailed old Goodman with that."

Rias looked at the two siblings and asked "Your teachers tell you about the human world? I was told I couldn't start on human histories until I was 10."

Ise looked at her and nodded "oh yeah, father insists that I know lots of stuff. Hey Rias follow me I got something to show you. I know you will want to see this." Ise took off towards his room with Ravel and Rias in tow. They got to the room and Ise ran over to desk and grabbed a book and handed it to Rias with a smile "Here have this I am finished with it and I put some good notes from Goodman's lectures in there. I am on volume 3 of Japanese history so I won't miss it." Ise smiled at Rias and she blushed.

"Thank you so very much I will read this tonight." Rias blushed while summoning a magic circle and placed the book on it and the book disappeared. Ise's eyes went wide and said "that is so cool you can transport stuff? All my father will teach me is this small flame." Ise held his hand out and a flame the size of a match came out but nothing more. "But I have been taught some sword styles and a bit of hand to hand."

Ravel smacked her brother in the shoulder and rolled her eyes. "You know father told you mind and body first before magic. At least he lets you train and have fun. Father says it's to unlady like for me to train."

Rias sighed getting a little uncomfortable with the praise and then the sibling argument. So Rias said "maybe we should head back down. My brother will be worried if he can't find me when I am out with him he constantly keeps tabs."

The children started to head back when Ise heard crying coming from Risers room and he told Ravel and Rias to go down stairs and he would meet them shortly. Rias stopped and turned to see Risen go back towards the room with the crying and thought to go help but Ravel grabbed her hand and they continued towards the stairs. Risen walked back to his brother's room heard a muffled please stop and opened the door where he saw his brother nude with Yulabella and tears coming from her eyes.

Her hands were tied behind her back and she was bent over the edge of the bed with her head turned to the door and Riser was thrusting in her and slapping her ass.

Ise made eye contact with Yulabella and saw the pleading in her eyes and he just snapped He summoned what little flame had and threw it at Riser. The flame hit Riser right in his dangle bits and he roared in surprise and pain. Riser Turned and looked at Ise and snarled. Ise felt fear but stood his ground and said "get off of her she is crying you are hurting her. I am going to tell father."

Riser said in a low growl "You fucking little piece of trash she is my servant and I can do whatever I want to her. And now the great Riser will punish you for your interference."

And before the boy knew it he was up against the wall with his arm contorted into an unnatural angle. Ise didn't cry out and he kicked between his brothers legs and Riser began pummeling the boy's face until he blacked out.

Yulabella was shocked and looked away at the brutality of what her master did to his own brother. She was so afraid of what would happen to her that she gathered her cloths and ran to her room that she shared with the rest of Riser's peerage. Ashamed and afraid she closed the door.

Riser looked at his brother and then it hit him what he did and how angry his father would be. Then a plan began to hatch and he could kill three birds with one stone. His father wouldn't have to find out his brother would be gone and his gambling debt could be wiped clean.

He summoned a magic circle to his ear "Shinata, Riser Phenix wants to make a deal but it has to happen now and bring holy water."

Riser stepped through a magic circle and returned with Shinata and pointed to his brother unconscious on the floor. "Get rid of him, use the holy water and destroy the body his room is down the hall do it there, he can't use the Phenix ability to heal so he is worthless. And when you leave take this I can't be seen with you. This pass will give you three trips to the underworld and bypasses the train security system. It's worth more then what I owe you and it's yours for getting rid of him and then we are even."

Shinata looked at the pass and nodded his agreement, Riser turned and left the room. Shinata looked at the boy and grabbed the holy water but stopped instead he went to the fireplace in the room and collected ashes went down the hall and poured the holy water on the bed sprinkling the ashes and setting the scene to where even Riser would think Shinata did what was asked. Shinata's greed at getting a devil servant won out.

Shinata snuck down the hall and picked the boy up over his shoulder and used the pass to leave the Phenix estate and the underworld going back to Hong Kong.

Back at the Phenix estate:

Ravel was feeling nervous, something wasn't right. Ise should have been down here by now. Sirzechs and Rias were about to leave and he want here to say bye. Ravel looked over at her mother and asked "Can I take Rias upstairs to say goodbye to Risen?" Riser wasn't paying attention he was so pleased with himself thinking how he would send one of the servants to go discover what was left of his brother and how it couldn't be traced back to him.

Lady Phenix nodded and the two girls left and went up to Ise's room and a few moments latter a blood curdling scream was heard from upstairs. Lord Phenix and Lady Phenix along with Sirzechs transported to the hallway and looked into the room and saw the two girls on the floor crying and on the bed a pile of ashes.

Lord Phenix moved quickly and looked at the bed and put his hand down and felt the liquid and when his hand started to burn he pulled it way in pain, shock and rage. "Who killed my son and how did they get into my home." Lord Phenix looked at Sirzechs and started to shake has he felt his body losing its strength. "Mao I am sorry but I need to ask you to leave I need to find who killed my son." Lady Phenix fell over and fainted. Sirzechs looked at Lord Phenix and spoke "You have the full support of the counsel and any resources you need to find who is responsible."

That evening Ravel was knocking on her wall and putting her hand to it over and over again but never getting a response. Sobs could be heard most of the night. Down stairs Lord Phenix had His three remaining sons in his office "You three will find whoever did this and bring them to me. I will destroy them with my bare hands." Riser tuned around facing the door and started to walk away "Yes father I will make sure my precious brother is avenged" riser had a slight grin on his face and schooled his features as he left.

Ruval and Rexal looked at each other but then they saw their father sag in his chair. "Boys I can't remember if I told him I was proud of him and loved him." Proud Lord Phenix who never showed much emotion wept in front of his sons for the first time that each of them could remember over the last 200 years.

Yulabella sat on her bed rocking back and forth not knowing what to do. Riser said he would kill her if she said anything and she just didn't know what to do.

Ise woke up in a dark room that smelled dank. The floor was hard and moist. He looked around but even his devil vision couldn't see a foot in front of him and he tried to call out but his throat was so dry. He felt like days passed and then a door opened and a man walked in and grabbed Ise by the hair and jerked him up. "Well boy you belong to me and we are going to have a little fun. Oh and your welcome for setting that arm it's funny that a supposed Phenix couldn't heal. That's probably why your brother told me to end you. I was going to kill you but I think I have a different plan. It's time to train because you my dear little devil will be an assassin/mercenary for the Birds of Prey. You are no longer Risen Phenix. You will respond to nine and you will wear this face covering for no one will ever know who you were."

The next few years Ise was put through the worst hell imaginable for a child. The beatings, sleep deprivation, starvation all to break his spirit and when that didn't work fast enough Shinata started giving Ise a black pill that changed his eyes black and took away his will. Every time Ise took the drug it hurt his chest and the effects didn't last as long as before. He trained in combat and how to kill. At the age of 10 he was given his first execution.

Shinata spoke "Nine this man raped and murdered six women. He then mutilated four children. Now what is kill method 34?" "That is a stiletto knife to the base of the skull up into the brain when done right very little blood loss and instant death." Ise/Nine said. Shinata grinned at the boy "Do you think this is an appropriate method of execution. Nine shook his head yes. Shinata motioned for Ise to step forward.

The boy stepped to the bound man who was on his knees and used his left and to grab the man by the hair and pulled. The man screeched "show mercy. I won't do anything like it ever again." Ise's eyes flashed from black to gold with green "Did you show mercy from your victims. Mercy is reserved for those who are innocent." Ise eyes went black again and slammed the small stiletto in at the angle he was taught to on melons, then pulled it free wiping it on the now dead man's shirt. He gazed at Shinata waiting for further instructions. "Nine now remove his head and put it in that box to be sent to the client to show the job is done.

The boy reached over to the table and grabbed two foot small sword lifted the head up from the propped up kneeling body and swung. Mid swing his eyes changed gold again and as he took the head of the criminal from the shoulders something inside his chest started to break and he felt sorrow push through him and power. A power he would keep secret and too himself.

Ise snuck out every night and trained his new power discovering he could summon flames and figured out the flames would heal him, but he felt like something was holding him back preventing him from grabbing the power he felt and he continued to train to try and get past whatever was blocking him, the seal his father placed had cracked but not completely broken.

At the age of twelve the boy did not look like he did 4 years prior. He was five foot seven lean and muscular. More so then a twelve year old should. The boy had become a master at killing his new found trade and received a contract that would change everything for him.

Ise responded to the name nine for his masters and hid the fact that he never gave up a part of his name in his own mind. He received his newest contract and the target was taken by fallen angels. So Ise did his recon and found that his target had a sacred gear that the group of fallen where going to extract. He snuck into the church. He saw the exorcists and the 6 male fallen angels with a girl who was breathing but her hands and feet where cut off and he eyes where gouged out and tongue was cut out. Ise looked and felt sick he was too late to prevent the fallen from preforming the ceremony he saw a red gauntlet materialize and fall to the ground. Ise sprang into action and faster than the eye could see took the heads of the exorcist and sent a spear fire through each fallen's heart. He walked to the girl and said "I am sorry I didn't arrive sooner." He plunged a knife into her heart hand she breathed no more.

Ise felt sick and emotions he hadn't in two years overwhelm him and the control drugs stopped working. He was not this person. His mother did not raise him to be a killer. He was meant for more than this.

Ise reached down with his left hand to retrieve the gauntlet and as he did it shown green and absorbed into him. He looked stunned and heard a voice in his head [A devil and one of power this shall be interesting Partner.] {Who are you and what have you done?} [I am draig the welsh dragon and you interrupted the ceremony the fallen preformed to take the sacred gear that held me inside. By being the first to touch me during the ceremony I was transferred to you. And I will train you in the ways of the dragon but for now I will sleep].

Ise looked around and got an idea he would no longer be an assassin instead he would fight for those who needed him. But first he needed to leave the birds of prey or at least end them and he had a Yakatori to fry.

Ise returned to the base and found Shinata along with two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight. All of the birds of prey under one roof which was unheard of and Ise was not going to let this opportunity slip through his fingers. He cast a barrier around the room and threw 3 knives through the eyes and into the brains of five two and three dropping them instantly the others went to move Ise went to fast and the heads of four six seven and eight hit the floor. The blood sprayed as the bodies finally crumpled. Ise looked at Shinata and waited for him to move. Shinata came at him and the two katanas clanged together and Shinata used a wind spell to push Ise back.

Ise lost his footing in the blood of four and felt the stab of the katana right above his heart and it burned. Shinata grinned and laughed "a broken devil can't survive my blessed katana." Shinata pulled the blade out and was shocked when Ise stabbed his own blade through Shinata's heart and twisted. Blood started to come out of Shinata's mouth and he said "Nine we both die here why?" Ise looked on and flared his Phenix fire and healed himself. "My name is not nine and I have my own agenda. I will only serve those I chose and you are not my master and never where."

Ise went to the safe and took all the money out and the account numbers along with all the gambling debt books. He found the contract books and burned them. He left the birds of prey base and got on a flight out of Hong Kong to japan. He was going to find a way back to the underworld and first stop was Kyoto to speak with the demon nine tailed fox from his book he remembered.
