Available points: 2

Confirm Allocation: Yes No

Given the number of points he had available, as well as the not so subtle hinting by the game that he needed to use at least some of them, Harry had spent quite some time debating what he wanted to spend points on. Increasing Dodge to 5 had been an instant choice, as had increasing his hiding ability from 1 to 3, though he would definitely be putting more points into hiding in the near future. Harry knew how useful that particular skill would be if Hogwarts was even remotely similar to how it had been in his original world.

This left him 6 points, and a large field of potentially useful skills in which to drop them into. In the end. With the memories of failing his charisma check and losing one of his guards because of it still in his mind, Harry decided to increase both Willpower and Charm to 15, to give him at least 2 stats that would pass 'hard' tests as the game called them most of the time. Harry only hoped that he continued to gain stats as he completed challenges or quests, because at 2 skill points a level he really wasn't going to become good at much quickly.

Still, at least the skill points were allocated now, hopefully checking back every time he gained a level would be enough to prevent the person sending him the annoying messages from having another snark. That was the hope at least, but given his own curiosity as to what the rest of the exclamation points were in the book, he would check all of them as well just to be sure they weren't 'important'.

The next page he turned to was his Perks page, which listed his already chosen perks at the top of the page, with his number of available perks and perk points displayed below. Given the events around his wand acceptance quest, he wasn't surprised to see the Natural Seer Perk part way down the list, but he was surprised to see it and several other Perks greyed out. What was that about?

Perks:

Now that you have begun your game, the Perks will be split into 5 different sections:

The first, Available Perks, is self-explanatory. These perks either have no characteristic requirements, or the Player has met these requirements before looking at this page. These perks are available for purchasing at any time.

The Locked Perks are Perks that the Player has unlocked the potential for, but does not have the characteristic/gameplay choice requirements for the Perks at this time. Perks that require more Perk points than the Player currently has available will also be stored in this section.

Conditional Perks are not bought with Perk points, but are dependent on game factors such as reputation and monetary wealth, which means that they can appear and disappear from this sheet depending on the Player's actions. These conditional Perks can of course be positive, negative or both, depending on context and type of Perk.

Unobtainable Perks represent the other roads that the Player can no longer access, either due to Perk choices being chosen that invalidate each other (Bully and Protector for example) or due to game choices that have a large impact on the Character's progression. Except in the most exceptional cases, these Perks will not be available to The Player until he begins his next play through.

Finally there is the Inherent Perks section, which contains the Perks that the Player has 'bought' and can now be considered to be Inherent in his character.

Perk Points Available: 1

Available Perks-

Beastman: Most people struggle to connect with non-domesticated animals, but for the Player that is simply because they fail to understand them. (+10 Animal handling when dealing with non-magical animals, non-magical animals must pass a willpower test to act hostilely or attack the Player if unprovoked.)

Budding Orator: Whilst most people feel uncomfortable in front of crowds, The Player relishes such encounters. Whether it is the attention, the power or simply something that doesn't bother the Player doesn't matter, such is the way of the Theatre! (+4 Charisma when speaking to an attentive crowd of more than 10 people and reciting a rehearsed script, +2 Charisma if speech/script has not been thoroughly rehearsed.)

Cautious: It isn't paranoia if people are actually after you, though checking every piece of food or drink before you eat it isn't a way to make new friends. (+5 Awareness, unlocks additional checks for what the Player perceives as 'suspicious behaviour'. -15% to relationship gains with all those below 'Friend' relationship level.)

Clean Operator:It makes you happy to sit back and relax in a clean and healthy environment, though your efforts to ensure that everything is 'just so' can aggravate those who aren't quite so concerned with such matters. (+5 to most actions when performed in a clean environment, -5 to actions when performed in an unclean environment. A willpower test must be passed to avoid cleaning such an environment if presented with the opportunity.)

Flying Fighter: To you, fighting in the air is more natural than fighting on the ground, there is certainly more room for dodging! (+5 Flying, +10 Dodge when flying, +5 to attack when in the air.)

I AM THE GREATEST!: You really want an explanation for this? I thought not. (+1 Main Attribute point.)

Ladies Man: Something that Sirius insists the Player picked up from his father and him, something that Freya firmly rebuffs with a snort of disagreement every time. (+10 to Charm and other other flirting based skills when trying to impress a woman, 2X relationship gain difficulty for those women who catch on to 'your type'.)

Like a Sponge: The Child absorbs knowledge as fast as he can wherever he can, much to the admiration of his parents and irritation of his peers. (+10% to learning rate of new spells and knowledge, -5 to conversations with children without this Perk.)

Monster Slayer: Whether it is due to experience or natural talent, you just seem to know how to hit Monster type enemies where it hurts. (+5% damage, +1% crit chance against Monster enemies.)

Natural Born Duelist: To fight is not just a part of the child's life, it is the child's life and joy and something that sets him apart from those who are only... average. (+10 Duelling, +5 Dodge.)

Natural Diviner: Where others see dregs at the bottom of a tea cup, you see an omen of ill-fortune, cloud formations can make or break your day and fireplaces make you grimace every time they are lit. (Instinctive understanding of basic omens and divination signs, chance of omens warning player of danger in the near future, dependent on divination skill. +10% chance of correctly interpreting omens from a successful forced divination, +20% of receiving 'prophetic dreams', which may be real or might not be…)

Pocketeer: Whilst many view Pocket Creatures as alien and monstrous, the Player feels a strange connection to these creatures that makes it easier for them to befriend or defeat in equal measure. (+10 to dealing with intelligent Pocket Creatures diplomatically, easier identification of Pocket creature weak points and improved gathering rate of Bestiary Page information.)

Locked Perks-

Ambidextrous: Let it be said that the Player is a 'handyman' when it comes to skills involving either hand. (Removes penalty for using an item in the Player's off-hand, but does NOT remove the penalties for the Player trying to dual-wield.) (Requires: 2 Perk Points)

Blade enthusiast (1 of ?): Something about bladed swords and other one handed blades just seems to resonate with you. Now, if you could just stop cutting yourself whilst practicing, you might be able to use that talent in a useful manner. (+5% to learning rate with one type of Blade Weapon Skill, +3% to skill rolls in combat with one type of blade weapon, +3% damage with one type of blade weapon.) (Requires: Skill 20 in a Blade weapon skill)

Bully: The Player grew up with a large number of fans, well-wishers and sycophants who were happy to accommodate his wishes despite his foster family's best efforts. Such accommodation has led the Player to expect certain… things to go his way, and when they don't he has methods of making people do what he wants. (+10 to Intimidate, +5 to Charm, 5% bonus to money gained through intimidation check successes. Double relationship penalties from such actions for those who know you are a bully.) (Requires: Complete 5 successful normal difficulty Intimidate actions or harder, requires Karmic level-Pragmatist or lower)

Charmer: Well spoken, Charming and Respectful are all compliments that have been paid to the Player by those who have interacted with him, and they always seem to know what to say to create the right reaction in a person. (+10 charm, more information available in Observe regarding a person's conversational preferences.) (Requires: Complete 5 successful Hard difficulty or higher Charisma checks.)

Higher Magical Creature Familiar (Potential): There are maybe one or two mages in the entire UK that have bonded with Higher Magical Creatures in the past century, the most obvious example being Albus Dumbledore with his Phoenix, Fawkes. Those who end up being blessed with such bonds are always destined for great things, but just having the potential doesn't guarantee that the Child will be able to find a suitable creature, or that the Child has the patience and respect required to earn such a powerful beings trust. (Allows for the forming of a Familiar bond with a WILLING Higher Magical Creature) (2 Perk Points, Relationship Level of (Friend) or higher with an unbonded Higher Magical Creature).

Giant Fighter: Despite not being small for their age, the player has always been adept at fighting those bigger than them, proving that size isn't everything. (+1 Dex, +10 Dodge when fighting opponents at least 2 sizes larger than the Player, +5 to attacks when fighting opponents at least 2 sizes larger than the Player.) (Defeat two enemies of 'Large' size or larger single handed and without taking damage.)

Leader of Men: Even as a child, the Player had an aura and presence around him as well as a natural understanding meaning that when they give orders, people tend to listen. (+5 Authority, +5 Tactics, +10 Command, provides a boost to NPCs when they undertake tests following given instructions. Boost level depends on success level of Authority/Tactics tests.) (Requires: 2 Perk Points, pass 5 Authority/Tactics tests of Hard difficulty or higher, Unlock Command Skill and raise it to 10 or higher.)

Natural Seer: To delve into webs of Fate and Destiny is a tricky affair, even when using controlled methods such as crystal gazing or other Divination magics. Being a natural Seer is both a blessing and a curse in comparison, with each Seer able to perceive the past, present or future through the strands of fate, depending on the unique properties of the Perk gained. (Gain the ability to receive information regarding people and Quests from the strands of fate in the form of premonitions or prophecies, though the method of receiving these 'hints' is determined randomly when this perk is selected. Additional +10% chance to successfully interpret omens and signs from forced divination methods and 'prophetic dreams' (stacks with Natural Diviner).) (Requires: Natural Diviner Perk, 3 Perk Points)

Silly Wand waver (1 of ?): The wand may have chosen you, but that doesn't mean that you have earned the right to wield it effectively yet. Especially if treat the Child treats it like a tool… (+3% affinity with the Child's first true wand).

Polyglot (Magical languages): Whereas anyone can learn a language with time, only those with the 'spark' can learn the deeper magical intricacies of the languages whose basis rests in magic itself. (Unlocks the Active Skill: Spell Linguistics Experimentation, which can be progressed through experimentation and experience to unlock personalised (and more useful) versions of spells for the Child.) (Requires: 2 Perk points, Requires Skill ?)

Polyglot (Runes): Runecrafting is far more an artform than a science, the 'rules' and 'restrictions' imposed on others merely obstacles the truly gifted most overcome in order to utilise Runes to their truest potential. Sure, they also stop some of these pesky explosions and catastrophic accidents. But surely the Child enjoys the thrill of mortal peril? (Unlocks the Active Skill: Rune Experimentation, which can be progressed through experimentation and experience to unlock personalised (and more useful) versions of runic enchantments and wards for the Child.) (Requires: 2 Perk points, Skill level 50 with Runes (Knowledge))

Protector: The Knights of The Round Table, Robin Hood and his Merry Men, these are the stories that the Child grew up with. Honour, Righteousness and defending what is right have always been codes that the Child has tried to follow. (+10 to Willpower and +1 Luck when defending others or fighting for what the Child perceives to be 'Right'.) (Requires: Karmic level-Optimist or higher)

Shadow fighter: The belief of 'honourable combat' is a laughable one to the Player, but if idiots make it easier for him to strike from the shadows, then it will be a weakness the Player will gladly take advantage of. (+5 Stealth, +5 Hiding, +10% damage when successfully carrying out a sneak attack.) (Requires: Karmic level-Pragmatist or lower)

Well Read: Despite his young age, the Child is a devourer of books and other methods of obtaining knowledge, meaning that he is capable of holding conversations and discussions far above his physical age level. (+1 Int, +1 Wis, +2 to all (Knowledge) based skill rolls) (Requires: Read and understand the contents of at least 50 books).

Conditional Perks-

Heir of the Ancient and Noble House Potter: The Child was born into a Noble house, one whose name can be traced back to the Norman Invasion. As heir to such a house, the Child has influence and power if they know how to wield it, but at the same time much is expected of them based on their House's history and alignment. And if the Child doesn't act in the 'correct' manner, there are any number of minor house lines waiting in the woodwork to try and claim the leadership of the House for themselves… (+5 to skill rolls for influencing members of other houses that respect the House of Potter, ?, ?) (Requires: The Child must maintain a manner and decorum that the Head of House Potter (If there is one) approves of to maintain his status as Heir)

In Shape (Casual): Whilst not an 'athlete' of any renown, the Child has kept themselves in a vague state of healthiness, which allows them to exhibit some meagre level of exertion without becoming a heaving wreck. (+1 to all athletics and Endurance based activity Skill rolls) (Requires: The Child must maintain a level of fitness that allows for at least 10 minutes of running without becoming tired.)

Taoiseach of the Talamh (Potter) Clan: Before the Norman Invasion there were no Houses, and the term family was used to relate to those in your Clan, rather than merely those who share your blood. The Talamh or Earth Clan were renowned for their workings of clay and other Earth based materials, using both mundane and magical methods.

With the arrival of the Normans, the Celtic Clans were forced into hiding, or were forced to accept the Franks' creation of the Wizengamot and the Houses that came with it, disbanding the former government called the Coven of Clans. The Talamh bore the dishonour of servitude to the new magics better than some, but they continued to practice the old methods in secret, keeping their connection with their traditional roots and the powers that come with it. (+1 to Earth based Skills and spells, Bonuses increase and vary depending on Clan size and Magical strength of Clan) (Requires: The Child must perform the Ritual of ? to the Talamh Clan's patron deity ? within ? Months of accepting the mantle of Taoiseach)

Well-fed: A tasty but balanced diet ensures that the Child is hearty and hale for the adventures that await them. (+1 to all Endurance based Skill checks) (Requires: The Child must maintain a balanced diet and not over eat in abundance or overly restrict their feeding habits.)

Unobtainable Perks-

Inherent Perks-

Magic Sense: The Child has always been attuned to magic and is able to sense it around them, making it easier to track through their surroundings and find valuable items and artifacts. (Adds [Magic Sense] to the skill list, which can be used to find hidden areas as well as traps and treasures.)

Magical Polyglot (Animals) (Requires 2 Perk Points): When intelligent animals make noises to most humans, to the Child they speak like any normal human, meaning that the Child is able to converse with them. (Unlocks new conversations and allows for new situation outcomes with animals and lesser magical creatures.)

With such an extensive list of perks now available to him, and several more temptingly available with a few levels work, Harry decided not to spend his perk point just yet. The fact that Natural Seer required a prerequisite perk that sounded like it would turn him into Trelawney if he wasn't careful didn't endear him greatly, especially as that would require 4 perk points even if it came with quite a few handy perks.

He would see if he could find some books on Divination first, and hopefully trigger a quest of some type, to boost his divination skill towards 25 and unlock the next step in his Wand's quest line. He wasn't sure how many quests there were in the quest line, and even what the end result of the quest would be, but the chance to meet even one Godling on positive terms would be worth the effort given what he was told about them.

"So when Aife called me Taoiseach it wasn't just another word for being Heir to House Potter? This game certainly is trying its hardest to be complicated…" Harry shook his head at his mumbling, talking to himself was not going to help build a 'respectable' image of himself, and at least the Perk gave him motivation to look further into his family's past.

The next tab was the relationships tab, and it was one that Harry had given very little thought to, even with all the boosts that he had received during his time in this new world. To his surprise it gave a fair amount of information next to each of the names, those like his family had the most in depth information, which meant that the details were probably gained over long term contact.

Welcome to the Relationships tab, where the Child can assess his standing with both individuals as well as groups, friendly or otherwise. Individuals generate a relationship value for the Child after their first real interaction, with a +/- % variation to simulate the social flux that is present in any group. Every individual in a group has a 'pull' value that will influence the group's relationship score with the Child, dependent on level of relationship, traits and rank in the group.

A known liar, with a petty grudge amongst a group of normal wizards, won't hold much weight in altering the group's relationship value. But an Inquisitorial Black Cloak Commander, with an axe to grind and an official investigation mandate, will have a commanding influence on the attitudes amongst his own men.

In addition to a relationship value, each Character will have a number of Relationship quests and a number of Personal quests.

Whilst not describing every way in which the Child can gain or lose relationship points with an individual, as that would be far too tedious, the most important Relationship quests are listed. These can be one off quests, or they can be re-occurring ones that can be completed multiple times for repeated rewards.

Personal quests are not directly important to the Child, but are good way of describing the individual Character's driving desires and goals. If the Child wishes to take action to help or hinder the individual's goals, the individual's views towards the Player will be influenced accordingly.

Freya Black nee Bishop (Lvl ?)-

Description-

A French Trainee in the Inquisition's French task force, when Dark Lord Voldemort began his insurrection in Britain, Freya's unit was brought to Britain to assist in dealing with the Traditionalist attacks. During one of their missions, on guard duty in Diagon Alley, her unit was attacked by Death Eaters. If it hadn't been for the courageous actions of Sirius and James, who were seventh years at that point, Freya would probably have died.

Sirius stayed in touch with her as she recovered from her injuries, and from that a relationship was born. After three children Freya isn't as physically sharp as she used to be, but her temper is still something that makes the more zealous Inquisition Guard's think twice about their actions around the Black family.

Relationship Score- Family (6,850/10,000)

Relationship Quests-

Keeping the faith (Daily)- Even as she settles into family life, Freya maintains her daily rituals and traditions related to her faith. And though she doesn't try and enforce her views upon her children, it always brings a smile to her face when they make an effort on her behalf: Join Freya without prompting for at least one prayer or act of worship (+1 relationship)

Maintaining a Household (Weekly)- Looking after a household of five children, six if you count Sirius, with just Briar to help is a difficult task for anyone. Complete at least three household chores (+10 Relationship).

Personal Quests-

A Righteous Path?: Freya's faith in God has never wavered, even after marrying Sirius and settling into becoming a Mother of 3 witches and wizard, but her faith in the Inquisition has never been as sturdy in its foundations. Now that her Children are reaching Hogwarts school age, Freya finds herself questioning her desire to reenlist. Is it to continue changing the Inquisition from within? Or is it simply because it is easier that doing something different?: Help Freya decide what she wants to do with her future. (Rewards based on the decision reached by Freya and the Child's level of involvement in her reaching that decision)

Arya Black (Lvl 11)-

Description-

Heiress of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black, daughter of the Black Dog of the same family, and the adopted older sister to The Child of Change. Arya Black has the expectations and machinations of many focused on her, either out the desire to control her, or to influence the Child through her.

Arya is far from the traditional British Purebloods lady however, and she has an instinctive sense for when those around her try to use her for their own gains. Because of this, Arya is seen as a tomboyish and caustic young girl, and those she considers friends are few and far between. But for those who are friends with her, for who she is rather than her titles, they will struggle to find a more loyal if sarcastic friend to stand by their side.

Relationship Score- Friend (117/2000)

Relationship Quests-

Treat me normally! (Daily)- Arya has been treated as a political pawn and a dainty pureblood heiress for as long as she can remember, and nothing annoys her more than when people try and treat her differently: Treating Arya differently because of her gender, status or lineage will lead to a very Vengeful Black! (-20 Relationship)

An adventurous spirit (Monthly)- Arya has always been an adventurous child, finding ways past nannies and enchanted protections to go off and explore the 'great outdoors'. Whilst not affected with Wanderlust to the point that she is a flight risk, sating her curiosity every now and again with an 'adventure' will always improve her mood: Arrange to go off exploring, adventuring or other Journeys of Discovery to places/locations that Arya has not been before. (+100 Relationship)

Diamond in the Rough (Monthly)- Despite the efforts of tutors, teachers and of course her mother, Arya has never been adept at social niceties and has more than once offended an entire room of her peers without realising it.

As she grows older, Arya realises that she does offend people with her manners and actions, but not always before the damage is done. For most this is an off putting facet of her personality. However for those who prefer to see things more positively, it is a 'quirk' and nothing more, something that endears them to the young Witch no end: Put up with at least two blunt or otherwise rude interactions with Arya, without letting it affect the flow of the conversation or your reactions to her. (+50 Relationship)

Personal Quests-

Delving into the Deeper Magics- Arya has always been fascinated by the potential applications of magic, especially those that are rarely known or little understood by the average Mage. Now that the Child's ability to manipulate the Pocket Gates have come to her attention, Arya is determined to learn this esoteric magic, and all of its dark secrets that come with it: Complete the quest chain: The making of a female Warlock, ?, ? Corvus Black (Lvl 3)-

Description-

The older of the two Black twins, by 37 seconds according to official records, Corvus has the looks from his father and the personality of his mother for the most part. Long black hair, and with a face that belies innocence, Corvus has a mischievous streak that only shows when he is with his sister Lyra and otherwise acts in a rather shy manner.

Whilst he tends to be the more 'responsible' of the two, as much as that term can be applied to 8 year olds, Corvus also tends to hold grudges far longer than his more light hearted sibling. This means if he feels someone deserves to be pranked, then the prank tends to be embarrassing, long lasting or BOTH...

Relationship Score- Big Brother! (9004/10000)

Lyra Black (Lvl 2)-

Description-

The younger of the Black twins, by only a few seconds according to Sirius and Freya's memories of the night, Lyra has her mother's looks and her father's personality for the most part. Adventurous, excitable and always with a cheeky grin on her face, Lyra is by far the Black child that is most liked by the adults that visit the household, at least until they end up becoming part of her 'fun'.

Her constant happy attitude, mixed with her inability to hate a wasp that has stung her for more than a few minutes, is something that her parents are always boasting about. Now if only they could get her to concentrate her energy on something other than pranks...

Relationship Score- Big Brother (8143/10000)

Relationship Quests-

Bonded to the Child, and the first clanswomen of the newly revived Talamh Clan, Aife is more than happy with her new position in life. Compared to struggling to survive in the Pocket Dimensions, life as the Child's first familiar has been a delightful change of pace for the Werekin Youngling, and it is one she will work her hardest to keep.

Aife and her mother Briar were caught up in the portal opening from the Pocket Dimensions, during the Unseelie plan's initial stages, and only due to the Child's actions did they survive the Inquisition's 'tender' clutches.

Bonded to the Child, and the second clanswomen of the newly revived Talamh Clan, Briar is cautiously happy with her new position in life. Compared to struggling to survive in the Pocket Dimensions, life as the Child's second familiar has been a positive change of pace for the Bearkin, and more than anything else it is a chance for a better life for her daughter.

And as long as her daughter is safe, happy and protected, Briar will do everything in her power to keep the Taoiseach of the Talamh pleased with their service.

Inquisitor O'Rielly (Lvl)-

Description-

A man of obvious power and influence, Inquisitor Reilly considers everyone a piece on a chessboard to be moved and influenced at his leisure. It is not as though he cares nothing for them, in fact he has one of the highest survival rates for any member of the European branch of the Inquisition, but the mission and the order will always come first when it needs to, regardless of any personal cost.

Reilly seems to have some history with both Freya Bishop and Sirius Black, and it doesn't sound like they are on the best of terms, especially in relation to your godfather. Groups:

Groups are limited to 100 people, though depending on the structure and individual influence there are Organisations that can have a membership size much smaller than this arbitrary value. The Player's Groups are listed below, if a member of a Group AND an Organisation becomes an individual in relation to the player, the Group Relationship score will be used instead of the Organisation score.

Hogwarts 1st years (The Child's year):

Description-

The newest Witches and Wizards attending the prestigious school of Magecraft, even most of 'the Newbloods' are aware of the Child's reputation and fame, though those that have met the Child so far are quick to realise they are nothing like the tales that have been told amongst the gossiping masses.

Group Relationship Value- Acquaintances to a Celebrity (500/1000)

Group Relationship Value Effects-

+1 to Skill rolls related to maintaining or increasing the Relationship values of Individuals in this Group.

+1 to Group's tests to resist others attempts at lowering the Relationship value related to the Child.

Inquisition Unit Rex:

Description-

The 28 strong team of Inquisition soldiers currently assigned to stand watch at the Black Estate, both to watch and protect the Child and his adopted family in equal measure. Given the horror stories of the attacks launched against the family when the Child was younger, many of the Inquisition Unit are not particularly happy at being assigned one of the most dangerous Guard Roles in the Inquisition's current roster.

Group Relationship Value- A Job, not a Joy (-600/2000)

Group Relationship Value Effects-

Auror Squad 7 'The Hounds':

Description-

Also known as the 'Hounds' after the Animagus form of their Squad Leader, Auror Squad 7 are regular visitors to the Black Estate when both on and off duty. Despite some initial awe in regards to the Child's status, being forced to chase, clean up after and generally babysit the Child and the other Black-Bishop children has done wonders to making them view the Child as a normal Mage.

Group Relationship Value- A Joy, not a Job (600/2000)

Group Relationship Value Effects-

+2 to Skill rolls related to maintaining or increasing the Relationship values of Individuals in this Group.

+1 to all Skill rolls affecting a member of this Group.

? Formian Hive:

Description-

The Child's first true encounter with pocket creatures, the Formian Hive members they encountered had never been outside of the Pocket Dimensions in their current Queen's lifetime. Therefore, though they lost a Scout to this 'Strange New World' and therefore have some very understandable caution regarding the strange two legged creature they encountered, such a minor loss will not prevent further explorations into any future pockets encountered in their territory.

Organisations are different to groups, in the sense that their Relationship Value with the Player isn't officially affected by the majority of the group, usually only the most high ranking members will influence its changes. The Inquisition's UK task force and the Traditionalists are two examples of Organisations that the Player will have to deal with, though because these organisations are made up of many different groups, the range of relationship levels within these organisations may be massive depending on who the Player talks to.

The British Inquisition Peacekeeping Force:

Description-

The British Inquisition Peacekeeping Force, colloquially referred to as the 'Red Cloaks' for their distinctive uniform apparel, have been a staple presence in UK Magical society long enough that the younger generation of Witches and Wizards haven't experienced a life without their presence.

Lead by Grand Knight Elijah Dorne, the Peacekeeping Force has learnt some difficult and costly lessons in the ways NOT to go about winning the 'Hearts and Minds' of Britain's Wizarding Populace. Now there are drastic efforts to make the Task Force seem less like an occupying force and more like an integral, friendlier, part of British Society.

They are winning ground with the younger generations, especially with the development of the Saints training academy at Hogwarts that connects Inquisition trainees with their Magical brethren. But there are more conservative elements in the Task Force, especially those who herald originally from the continent, that such 'mingling' will increase the risk of their younger recruits 'going native'.

The British Traditionalist Movement:

Description-

'Our traditions were fine before the fight between Grindelwald and Dumbledore, so they aren't the problem with the ancient wards failing, whatever happened in Northern France is. But the Inquisition have decided they wish to impose their 'God' upon us, and destroy traditions and culture that has existed for centuries, all they needed was an excuse… Religious Zealots, the lot of them. Especially them damn Black Boots.'- Unnamed Lord, Wizengamot Meeting.

Every Organisation's 'Heroes' are another's 'Villains', and the Traditionalist Movement in Britain see the Inquisition's Task Force as more of an invading army, using excuses and lies to spread their own agenda. The Traditionalists see themselves in the same shoes as the great British wizards of old, standing for Britain's greatness in the face of foreign invaders. Whether they are the 'Heroes', 'Villains' or something else in this story, is yet to be decided...

The Death Eaters:

Description-

'The so called Traditionalists are weak, bumbling has-beens, content to spend their time arguing in the Wizengamot as the 'Righteous' Inquisition poison the minds of our children and destroy everything that our hallowed names stand for. It is no use, attacking the occasional Inquisition patrol or opening the occasional portal to the Pocket Dimension brothers, which is what the Traditionalists call 'fighting back'.

No Brothers, tonight we don the masks of Death, and we make the Inquisition realise that we are not merely sheep awaiting the butcher's blade!' - Lord Voldemort, addressing a Death Eater strike team.

Every organisation has its extremists, sub-factions who will always believe that the Organisation is doing too much or too little in one manner or another. The Death Eaters were once a sub-faction amongst the Traditionalists, and now that their leader has fallen many have 'returned' to the ranks they never officially left. But though Lord Voldemort is gone, their belief that the Inquisition should be fought tooth and nail by every 'good' Witch or Wizard in the Country remains, and some are more than willing to physically act upon their beliefs...

The Black Cloaks, Detachment Durandal:

Description-

Whilst each Country has their own Task force assigned to them, the 'Black Cloaks' are a central organisation controlled from the Vatican itself, and their presence is the equivalent of having Azrael the Angel of Judgement appear before you. Black Cloaks are loyal only to the Inquisition, with a Religious fervour and belief that makes them arbitrary and deadly in equal measure, dispensing 'Justice' to anyone who breaks the Inquisition's key Commandments.

'Detachments' of Black Cloaks are named after Holy Weapons or Saintly Warriors, and are lead by a triumvirate of three Inquisitors, each of which acts in a role of 'Investigator', 'Judge' or 'Redeemer' depending on the task force's requirements.

Status, Lineage and Jurisdiction have no meaning to them, merely words that the guilty use to try and prevent the administration of Justice...

The Ministry of Magic:

Description-

The Ministry of Magic was once regarded as a mess of bureaucracy and corruption, with Department Heads controlling their own 'kingdoms' for the progression of their own ambitions rather than the good of Wizarding Britain as a whole.

Since the arrival of the Inquisition, there have been some changes to the nature of the Ministry, both by the Inquisition's direct influence and the secondary effects of their arrival. But whilst certain departments have become far more effective and streamlined in their activities, particularly the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and the new Department dedicated to liaising with the Inquisition Task Force, the other Departments are still very much under the sway of their Department heads when it comes to political allegiances and capabilities.

Hogwarts Teachers Staff:

Description-

If there was one unintended effect of the Inquisition's arrival in Britain, it was the sidelining of the so called 'Blood Purity' problem. All of sudden it didn't matter nearly as much if you were a Pureblood or a 'Newblood', though Purebloods still aimed to keep their Bloodlines magical, there was no longer the animosity that had been surfacing in the latter stages of the Grindelwald insurrection. After all, the Inquisition provided a far better target for the anger of Witches and Wizards, regardless of their blood status

Though the fighting between the Inquisition and the Traditionalists has its long list of casualties, there has been a 'boom' in childbirths in the Magical community over the last 50 years, especially between Newbloods who find it far easier to thrive in the 'new' Wizarding society. With so many more magical children growing up than there used to be, as well as the establishment of the Saints academy, Hogwarts has undergone a renaissance.

Entire wings of the castle have been re-opened, and several of the classes now have several teachers to cope with the numbers of students now attending the school, and as such Hogwarts is not only regarded as one of the most prestigious schools in Europe but as a place of learning beyond NEWT level as well. Headmaster Severus Snape has seven apprentices learning from him in preparation of their masteries, a steadily increasing number of new and modified potion recipes one of the components in showcasing a potential new age for Wizarding Development.

Harry tore his eyes away from the various missions and personal quests associated with various people or groups he knew, most of them would be easy enough for him to complete but the volume of them was enough to make his head spin, and they would distract him from the more important quests he had.

Speaking of quests, turning the page brought him to the start of a series of different coloured pages that highlighted the different types of quests he had unlocked. Thankfully his general quest page was pretty much empty, primarily because those were 'solve as they happen' type of missions, so he drew himself to the long term quest page instead, which was far more populated.

Doing a little digging-

The Inquisition have long claimed to have several stable pocket portals with which they can return subdued pocket creatures to the pocket dimension, but the character has for one reason or another come to suspect that this is not what the Inquisition actually do with those they capture. So, with a little digging, the character will be able to find out if they are right with their suspicions...

Fate of the Godlings

Once considered in the same bracket of magical creature as unicorns, Godlings have disappeared from the world since the end of World War 2 and the rise of the Inquisition. Many think they have withdrawn to the pocket universe, or been wiped out whilst trying to protect their chosen villages. Upon gaining the Godling wand however, the player received visions of three locations in the world, though the images were too blurry to make out other specifics.

Could these be some kind of clue to the location of the remaining Godlings? Or are these images merely the memories of the Godling hair donor, on their last journey that heralded the disappearance of their kind?

Whether these plans are dangerous to the hero is questionable, but given the intelligence and strategic planning of the Fey as a race such actions will be wide reaching to say the least…

-Learn more about the Unseelie. (0/?)

Bonus objectives-

- Learn more about the Unseelie Leadership structure. (0/1)

Harry had actually forgotten about the Unseelie quest, with the other events of the tutorial having taken over his memories of the first events in his new life, and given how often such 'small hints' had come back to bite him in his previous life he wasn't going to miss the opportunity to get ahead of them for a change.

Though there wasn't a lot that he could do about progressing those quests now, as he and Sirius were all but done now they had found Rose... A glance across at the girl in question had him catch the smile she was still beaming thankfully in his direction, and an idea formed in his mind.

It would definitely give Sirius the wrong idea, not that the marauder would need much help on that front, but the teasing would be worth some more time hanging out with his mother and Hermione, even if he didn't find anything else. After a quick look through the bestiary pages, to make sure he hadn't missed anything else before he 'came back to reality', he took one last look at the relationship page to refresh his mind on the details of a few people.

Then he closed the book and put it back into his holster, taking a deep breath and reaching for the accept button on the mission panel that had started his introspection. The world coloured around him and time started to grind into motion once more, Harry returning to roughly the position he remembered being in before he had opened his menu book as Sirius spoke up, moving towards the shop and grabbing Lily's hand as his father's voice became filled with humour.

"No problem Profesor, just doing my job as an auror. I was going to say we were going to head home, but it seems that Harry wants to spend some more time with his newest friend..."

Harry was never more glad of the increased Willpower stat he had just given himself, resisting the urge to respond and feed Sirius' teasing further. Instead, he politely shifted past Professor McGonagall with a small smile with Lily in tow, pushing against the door to Ollivander's shop to gain them entrance once more.

"So Lily, want to meet my other friend Hermione? I don't know about you, but I get the feeling that we are going to be the best of friends." The offer was genuine, though he wouldn't have been quite so overt about it if it hadn't been for the relationship quest that appeared during his journal hunt.

Relationship +50 (Lily Rose)

"Really? I mean yes please, you're the best Harry!" Looking back, Harry was happy to see the beaming smile on Lily's face.

And in that moment Harry promised himself that he would do everything he could to earn that smile as often as he could going forward, a warm feeling spreading through his stomach as the chatter of the other soon to be first years filled his ears.

Perhaps this second chance wouldn't be such a bad thing...

[]{}#%*^+=

"And er, this is where I live! Thank you for dropping me back here, I know Professor McGonagall was very busy with the other guys… I would offer for you to come in but I don't know if I am allowed, I've never exactly had friends over before… I'm rambling again aren't I?" Two hours later and Harry was the proud owner of a dozen extra books, ranging from basic Divination books to tales of mythical Pocket creatures, which was the closest he could get to an actual book on Pocket Creatures without Sirius buying it for him.

Luckily, the excuse of wanting to find out more about his Wand core's origin seemed to stop Sirius from being too suspicious, though it earned him another point in Guile for telling another half-truths. With the shopping complete, Sirius had offered to drop Lily back at Dumbledore house, which Harry quickly found out was a large stately home that had been turned into an orphanage for all Wizarding children, as well as children of the Inquisition's Task force whose parents fell in the line of duty.

Whether it was actually the Dumbledore family home, or whether it had just been named that in memory Harry wasn't sure, Dumbledore had never mentioned anything resembling a home other than Hogwarts in his previous life. Still, it was very impressive to look at, white marble interspaced with large clear glass windows across the front of the property with large grounds of wildflowers and grassland surrounding them.

"Not to worry kid, I need to see one of the carers to officially 'hand you back' after all, otherwise Minnie will have my hide. You can take Harry for a little tour if you want, I will be able to find him easily enough when we are ready to leave." Sirius wasn't exactly subtle, though Lily seemed to miss his secondary machinations as she beamed at him before nodding her head vigorously.

"That would be great Mr Sirius Black sir, if Harry doesn't mind hanging out with me that is?" Harry didn't mind in the slightest, if Sirius' attempts to play matchmaker meant he could hang out with Lily more, then there was no way he was going to say no to that.

"Of course not, do you want to show me that river ford you were telling me about earlier?" Over the course of the Newblood shopping trip he had gotten himself into, Harry had spent pretty much all of his time talking to Hermione and/or Lily.

There had been some others that he had talked to as part of these discussions, Harry netting himself +20 Relationship points with Terry Boot and Dean Thomas for his vague knowledge of football and his far more detailed understanding of Quidditch, but for the most part his attention had been divided between his two new friends.

"Oh, that's this way, I think the others might still be there! I am sure you will love to meet them!" And with that Harry was forced to run as Lily rushed off away from the large house down the hill, heading towards what looked like a single large tree next to a winding river he could see.

If there was one thing that really surprised Harry about Lily, it was how fast she could run given her small size, she wasn't even properly running at this point and he was struggling to keep up. Either she was subconsciously using magic to speed herself up, or she naturally had a ridiculous Dexterity stat or Athletics skill.

All Harry could do was run after her as best he could… And not growl with frustration as a Quest tab popped up in front of him.

New Quest: Catch me if you can!

Lily Rose doesn't understand that people can't keep up the level of speed she achieves with no real effort on her behalf, but that isn't going to stop you trying!

Yes No

Slapping his hand out to hit the 'Yes' button, Harry found a digital clock face appeared in front of him and off to his left, currently on 00:05.4. As he did his best to ignore it and keep up with Lily, Harry couldn't help but notice that the 4 very quickly changed into a 5 and then a 6 in frighteningly quick succession.

Over the next 100 metres that number bumped its way up to 6.3 seconds, and they still were only halfway there. He could feel the sweat already building on his brow, and his lungs were burning with every breath he was taking, but Harry had never been one to give up because something hurt.

As Lily reached the tree and stopped running though, Harry knew he needed to invest some points in the Athletics skill going forward, face burning as he came to a stop next to her and just about resisting the urge to collapse onto the floor.

"Challenge another sucker to a race Sis? You do realise that at a certain point it just becomes cruel to subject newbies to such a thing…" The new voice made Harry look up from trying to draw sweet, sweet air in his lungs, and found himself noticing several people that he hadn't noticed at all when he had been sprinting after Lily.

The speaker was a tall blonde girl, who seemed to be at least 4 years older than them judging by her… body shape, her words making Lily turn from where she had been waving at the people lounging around to face him.

"I wasn't racing any… Harry! Oh I am so sorry, I didn't think I was going that fast. Oh my god, you hate me now don't you, I didn't mean…" Harry assumed that Lily did this quite often, as the blonde merely rolled her eyes before walking over and trapping Lily in a headlock, giving her a noogie much to the shorter girl's protesting.

"You really have no idea how stupidly fast you are, do you Lils?" As Lily seemed to give up struggling as a lost cause, the blonde released her and walked over to extend a hand in his direction.

"I apologise for my sister, Lils does it to everyone and doesn't mean anything by it. You should have seen what happened, the first time she did it with Jaune…" There was a half-hearted call of protest from the blonde male who was amongst the others now walking over towards them, Harry counted 5 of them including the blonde whose hand he was now shaking.

"I told you guys, motion sickness is a very common thing... " The introduced Jaune seemed to deflate as everyone gave a chuckle to his protest, other than a redhead that smiled comfortingly and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Anyway, I am Yang, that's Jaune and Pyrrha, Ren and Nora. Blake is the one who well, couldn't be bothered breaking from her reading to come and meet the new guy." The newly named Yang gestured at the older children going from left to right, before jerking her thumb up towards the single tree by the river, where a black clothed girl was sat on one of the branches reading a book.

"Hi." Blake's monotone greeting carried incredibly well given the lack of volume behind it, though Harry was distracted by the appearance of a face far, far too close to his for him to give it more thought.

"Hi, I'm Nora, Nora Valkyrie. Do you like pancakes? If you do, make sure you don't eat them all, otherwise I would have to break your legs, which would be a shame as you seem nice. I mean Lily likes you, but she's like Pyrrha and likes everyone, even that jerk Cardi…" The Orangette was dragged away from him part way through her jerky speech, by a boy of Asian descent who looked like he was far too used to her antics.

"Nora… One question at a time. Sorry about that." As the organised chaos erupted around Harry once more, Lily flapping her arms in the air and gesturing to the group as she told them about her trip to Diagon Alley, Harry took a chance to have a look at the completed quest tab in front of him.

"Hello there." Harry was drawn back to the conversation by the tall redhead Yang had called Pyrrha, and Harry was glad puberty hadn't kicked in yet, as up close she was quite possibly one of the most beautiful teenagers Harry had ever seen.

"Sorry, but Lily forgot to give us your name, and it would be terribly rude to not learn your name before talking with you further." Harry thought for a moment and realised Pyrrha had a point, and looking over to where Lily was still nattering away he knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon.

"The name is Harry, it's nice to meet you Pyrrha." He didn't give his last name, not that it would take long for someone to notice his scar, or for Lily to mention it.

But as the Quest completion told him these teens were all prospective Inquisition members, all from Inquisition task force families who had fallen against the Death Eaters, he wanted them to get to know him as himself rather than as 'the Child'.

"HARRY!" The sonorous call from the top of the hill made Harry sigh, given the short amount of time he had been given, he got the feeling Sirius had said something to upset whoever he had spoken to.

"Seems like I have to go, it was nice to meet all of you, however briefly. Lily, I'll see you at…" That was as far as Harry got, before he was nearly bowled over, Lily's arms wrapped around his waist as she buried her face into his chest.

"Thanks Jaune, will it be okay if I write? I mean, you don't have to say yes, I mean we only met today so I understand if you say no…" Harry couldn't help but chuckle, as he could see Yang's despairing look at her sister's attempt to talk him out of being her pen friend.

"Of course you can Lily, I will send my Owl Hedwig tomorrow, I'm sure you will love her…"

!"£$%^&*()_+

"Harry! You said you were going to help me learn to draw power from the portals like you did, but this is boring!" It was times like this that Harry had to remind himself that, despite how she often acted more maturely than her father, Arya was still a 12 year old at heart.

And it never showed more than it did right now, as she tried to find the piece of parchment he had enchanted from an entire pile, a training exercise he had come up with over the 2 weeks grounding he had received from his mother. The fallout from the Diagon Alley visit, especially with the detour they took to drop Lily back off at the orphanage she was staying at, had been much further reaching than Harry had thought possible at the time.

They had returned to find a soot covered and furious armed and armoured Freya, who had heard of the attack from one of her former subordinates but not the details. After waiting an hour without their return, she had armoured up and gone to look for them, leaving Briar with the other children. Given she started at the Ministry, then the Inquisition's UK HQ, by the time she had gotten to Diagon Alley they must have already left to drop Lily off.

A mixture of helping the Newbloods, Ollivander's request for him to visit again before school started and Sirius not so subtly discussing his 'crush' on one of them helped. Not much, but it meant that Harry was only lightly punished, whilst Freya turned her anger on her husband instead.

It had cost him 300 Relationship points with Freya, and 500 with Sirius by the time she was done with him, but he could gain those back.

"Harry, Harry! Is it, is it this one?" He must of zoned out, as next he knew Arya was waving a piece of parchment in his face.

"Let me check Arya, give it here." Activating his Magic Sense ability, as the girl huffed and dropped the parchment into his hands, Harry was surprised to find that it was in fact the one he had spelled.

They had been at this for almost 3 days, though Arya had only lasted an hour at best before frustration and boredom had kicked in. Luckily Harry had also asked Freya to help him build his physical fitness, using the excuse of the attack to explain his desire to improve. Obviously Sirius had been watching when he had chased after Lily and told Freya, as she gave him her patented amused smirk and eyebrow raise before agreeing.

When Arya had asked why he was going 'mum-running', Harry had merely chuckled as Freya swatted her daughter lightly on the back of the head, before explaining that all the 'monster hunting' he had done so far required a lot of running around. Needless to say, Arya had joined them this morning, and would probably go on another run this evening to work off her frustration.

"Well done Arya, obviously you have some latent sensing talent to be able to do this so quickly, I was thinking this was going to take months…" It was true enough, even if Harry had only said it to see the look of horror on her face.

Nearly all magical 'talents' could be learned to a certain extent, with the right amount of practice and experimentation, which is how Ron learned a couple of words in Parseltongue after all. But that had taken months of practice and years of exposure, Arya's progression was phenomenal in comparison, though Harry expected her powers were far less developed than his own.

"Humph, well I am very talented after all, I'm always going to exceed expectations. Though, you can sense things from a distance right? I, I could only sense it when I touched it." That made Harry relax a little, even as he noticed a screen appear in front of him, and he looked at the screen for a moment before speaking.

The making of a female Warlock: Quest 1 of ? Bonus Quest Updated (Complete main Quest objective(s) to gain rewards).

Teach Arya the basics of Magic Sensing (1/1) (+400 xp, +1000 xp (Arya), +300 Relationship (Arya))

Harry barely resisted allowing his eyebrow to shoot up in surprise, that was an impressive amount of rewards for what was only a bonus quest. He wouldn't get the reward until he completed the main Quest, which given it was talking about taking Arya to another Portal was not at the top of his priority plans, but the extra time was only a good thing in his opinion.

"We will just have to try and improve it further with more practice then, though I think you have definitely earned a break. Want to go practice some more spells?" When it came to the only bonus objective Harry had been given, about training Arya to a certain level in preparation for the trip, he had been somewhat stumped as to what they could do to specifically raise Arya's level.

Thankfully, the system seemed to realise this, as it started giving him small quests that would help him increase Arya's XP, though it didn't tell him anything about her progression other than when she gained a level. His Observe skill usage helped with that, the Skill having risen to Level 3 and most of the way to Level 4 given his increased use of it.

It seemed to give him more XP when it was a new target he scanned though, discovered when he Observed several members of Inquisition Unit Rex, which made Harry regret not using it on the team RVBY and the others when he had the chance. It was a lesson to be learned of course, and something that made his use of Observe far more prolific now.

Speaking of which, Harry mouthed 'Observe' as he turned to look at the Black Heiress once more, using the slowing of time to hide the smile that crossed his face at the look of frustration that was on hers.

"I can't, I have to go with Dad to this Wizengamot meeting, which Mum doesn't have to attend because of her ties to the Inquisition. I'm almost tempted to say I support the Inquisition whilst I am there, would get me out of attending anymore of these stupid things at least…" Harry didn't believe that she would, even at her most frustrated Arya was aware of her position, even if she often tested and crossed the minor boundaries of acceptable behaviour.

"Take the parchment, you can mix them up and then try and find the enchanted one without touching it. If nothing else, it can't be MORE boring than the meetings you've told me about…" Arya seemed to consider it for a moment, before a small smile crossed her face and she reached across to mess his hair with her hand.

+5 Relationship (Arya)

"You're full of good ideas lately Kal-El, I might yet acknowledge you as a friend when you make it to Hogwarts. Assuming you don't drown on the way in of course…" Harry resisted a sigh, even as the girl gathered all the parchment and made her way towards the door.

Even when she was being nice, Arya still managed to find a way to try and rile him up at least once or twice a conversation, let alone a day. Taking advantage of the quiet Arya's departure had gained him, Harry took a chance to look at her character information page his Observe had given him.

Arya Black (Lvl 12 : 13,404 XP/? XP)-

Instead of a dull Summer, Arya has found herself spending significant time with the Child, or as she calls him affectionately 'Kal-El'. Previously, she had thought him too childish to spend time with, but since the Census attack he has surprised her again and again with his new attitude. Maybe having him come to Hogwarts in September won't be the major annoyance she thought it would be...

It didn't tell him much more than he had already known previously, though looking at the XP bar Level 4 Observe had unlocked, Harry could tell the Game had already added the Bonus quest XP to Arya's character. Either that, or the training session this morning had been far more beneficial in XP generation than the previous ones.

Closing the tab, Harry decided to follow Arya out of her room and down into the rest of the house, he wouldn't want to be caught by himself in a girl's room after all. Whilst Corvus wouldn't question it, Lyra would undoubtedly try and extort him in order to prevent the information getting to Sirius. Harry couldn't tell how his Godfather would react, his pride in Harry acting like James in conflict with his position as Arya's father, and in general Harry would prefer never finding out.

Descending the stairs, from the large attic room that Arya had long since claimed as her own 'secret lair', Harry decided to pop down to the kitchen and grab some food, given it was nearly lunchtime judging by the position of the Sun. That, and given he had three days left of his 'Grounding', Harry didn't have all that much to do that wasn't chores or studying. Whilst he still needed to finish the Divination books he had bought in Diagon Alley, in order to unlock the Divination Magic Skill on his Skill tree, the idea of more book time really wasn't appealing at the current moment.

"Taoiseach? Taoiseach?" The sound of Aife shouting his title from downstairs did make Harry smile though.

He had gotten sent her with a letter to Lily two days after his punishment had begun, though he had needed to show her where she was going on a map, given she didn't have the same natural abilities as normal Post Owls. Given the time it had taken for her to return, Aife had obviously spent some time with Lily, or exploring the countryside a little.

"Coming down Aife!" Judging by the excited talking, that Harry could hear as he made it to the ground floor, Briar had come rushing in to see her daughter's return.

"It was so much fun mum, I got lost a few times, but there's so much space! And even with all the buildings there was greenery, and flowers. I caught one of those rabbit things as well, it wasn't as tasty as when Lady Black cooked us some, but still very nice." As Harry made it to the kitchen, Aife's exclamation was a poignant reminder, whilst the Werekin could be human there was an animal waiting just beneath the surface.

"You had me worried Little Owl, you've been gone a week! I was going to ask Master Potter to activate his tracking charm if you didn't return soon. Where have you been?" As Aife brandished a letter from her pocket proudly, her gaze caught his and her smile widened, before ducking past her mother to present him with said letter.

"I got the letter to the big house you told me about, and I found the small red girl you told me about when I dropped into the big room which they were using to serve all the children food. They were all so nice, though Red took a couple of days to write her reply, which gave me loads of time to explore and meet all of the nice people…"

That explained the burst of Relationship point gains for both Aife and Lily over the last few days, as well as from the rest of RVBY gang. Yang had even gained a Relationship Level with him, though the change to 'Lily's boy friend (0/3000)' didn't inspire much confidence that her teasing was going to die down anytime soon.

Harry was about to open the letter, half listening to Aife's rambling description of her adventures as he did so, when there was a shout from outside.

"Ambus…" The shout cut off part way through it's speech, and Harry had no doubt that the man who had been speaking had just been taken out.

He was already in motion as Aife froze in place, drawing his new wand from the wand holster Sirius had given him for his Birthday, something that had belonged to his father and was an auror level piece of equipment.

He also carried his battle wand around with him, both to add some extra firepower, as well as the fact that his actual wand was almost entirely defensively orientated. Given the number of sound cancelling and dampening charms on the different parts of the house, Harry doubted that Sirius or Aife had heard anything yet, he had only heard because the door leading out of the kitchen was still open from Aife's arrival.

"Aife, find Dad and tell him we are under attack. Briar, stay here and protect the house from anyone who tries to enter without mine or Dad's permission! I give you consent to use your powers." Briar grinned even as Aife nodded before running into the house, she probably realised he had sent Aife off to keep her out of trouble as anything else.

There was a flash of light from outside, before the various items in the kitchen started wailing or hissing, which was a sign that the Wards were under attack.

"And what do you think you are going to do Master? Whoever is attacking is probably after you given your status…" Briar was right, but Harry had spent some time learning what the defences of the house involved, and he had come across a worrying issue.

"I need to go and permit entry to the Inquisition team, so that they can enter the wards. Otherwise, they are all going to die." Morbid, but not untrue. Given the risk of an Inquisition assassin as well as Traditionalist attacks, the wards only allowed access for their most immediate family.

So right now, unless he did something about it, Inquisition team Rex were currently fighting with their backs against a very literal wall…

A/N: I have had some difficulties writing chapters in the past, reviving my oldest stories like The Shades of Uzu or The Deception, Gone Awry spring to mind, but this chapter truly made me want to give up this story as a whole more times than I can count.

It is the longest chapter I have EVER written, at over 15,000 words. Given the rest of the story is 42,000, that means I have made the story 25% longer in one go, which is something that never happens after the first 3-4 chapters.

It is a horrid mix of Info-dump, mechanics expansion and flavour text, which was honestly unavoidable. I have also tried to avoid doing what a lot of 'Gamer' fics do, which is 'patch' their gamer systems as they develop or find the need to modify their mechanics, but this meant I had to think long and hard about how I actually wanted my mechanics to develop.

So you now have everything from individual Relationship pages to groups and organisations, as well as a dip into a more advanced Perk page and teasers regarding multi-level Perks and conditional ones to boot. I would say I hope everyone is happy with it, but given the amount of trouble it caused me to generate that much stuff, I can honestly say I am not re-vamping it regardless :).

I have also included more characters from RWBY, both to save me generating more OCs from scratch, and also because they will be an interesting addition to Hogwarts and it's Inquisition sister facility. We are nearly there btw, I really, really want to get to Hogwarts within the next 2 chapters.

When you are only using 3-4 regular canon characters, the story becomes a lot more challenging, as you don't have pre-defined experiences to use to gauge their reactions to things. There will still be more OCs to come (expanded classes require teachers after all), but I will be aiming to improve the balance between OCs and canon characters going forward as best I can.

Now, Question of the Story. As you can see in this chapter, I have changed the style of how I do the Game information. This is in an attempt to break up the PAGES of bold text that I had before. I am thinking to go back and re-work the other chapters of this story in the same manner, as well as highlighting specific Game skills, abilities and other information when it is mentioned as part of Harry's PoV. Thoughts?

On a more serious note, I have to offer an apology now. I have recently bought a house, which all of a sudden means I have suddenly got to worry about this whole 'being an adult and managing my budget' thing. I know I don't post regularly, but this is me letting you guys know that that rate is going to drop significantly going forward.

I did set up a .on account, but I don't think what I offer on here is going to be worth people spending money on. Though, if you want to check it out, it is the same username as I use here. Perhaps I am being overly pessimistic.

I have muscled through all of my working stories to provide you with a new chapter for each of them, I hope you all enjoy them, and apologies for the bad news.

Let me know what you think guys!
