After Naofumi dealt with Takt and got his Shield back, is when just before the Phoenix arrives, L'Arc and Motoyasu meet and start a fight instantly. With the clang and clashing of their weapons, Naofumi just couldn't take it anymore.
"Will you two idiots stop?! I was trying to nap for once!"
"Sorry Naofumi/Kiddo," they both stop, apologizing at the same time.
Sighing, Naofumi's wide awake now. "Get in here. I have something to tell you both."
In the room...
L'Arc and Motoyasu sat on chairs while Naofumi just sat on his bed.
Rubbing his forehead, a headache in his wake, Naofumi just says it, "I have two soulmates...it's the both of you."
L'Arc and Motoyasu are shocked, "What?!"
He hit them with his Shield, groaning as he rubs his forehead, "Stop yelling idiots! Just...can we talk about this?"
Getting over their initial shock, L'Arc and Motoyasu nod.
"You have one soulmate for you, and one for the Shield Hero," Motoyasu informs L'Arc of what he knows about soulmates.
"I don't know if you two are even connected to each other though... Or which one of you is connected to the Shield Hero, or just me," Naofumi sadly smiles, "What happens if one of us dies or...after the Waves are over. We just don't know that..."
"Kiddo...you were worrying about that?"
"Of course I was... This whole soulmate thing is so complicated..." Naofumi sheds a single tear, "It's scary..."
They both hug and comfort Naofumi, "It's OK, Kiddo. We'll figure this out together."
"What he said," Motoyasu agrees.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
After hugging it out, of course...
"Who do you like more?" Motoyasu just had to ask.
"...If I had to choose... L'Arc. He's an idiot but reliable." 'Unlike you,' is what Naofumi keeps to himself.
"Uh...thanks," is L'Arc can say about that.
"Can I ask a dumb question?"
"Expect a dumb answer...but go ahead."
"Since all three of us are soulmates...can we have a threesome?" the blonde idiot asks.
L'Arc and Naofumi just look at him before looking at each other. After a brief pause, they both nod, and knock Motoyasu out before going to bed.
