Annabeth was warm.

She was sure that she had fallen asleep at the windowseat, but was too tired to actually go to bed. When she opened her eyes, she realised that she was in the arms of her husband and wrapped inside a blanket. Comfortable, she fell asleep again.

When Annabeth awoke again, Percy was already awake, gently unravelling the knots in her messy hair with one hand while the other one curled around her waist. He was softly humming and Annabeth wanted to stay in that position forever. But first, she had something to do.

"Hey", she said.

Percy just smiled sweetly at her and pressed his lips to her forehead. That was all it took for Annabeth's eyes to become glassy and hundreds of apologies tumbled out of her mouth.

"I'm so sorry Percy.", she started. "I never realized how I was behaving with you, and it was unfair for my actions to affect the baby. I-I just don't want to stop being an architect. I love the baby, but being an architect" she sighed " .. it's been my dream for years."

Annabeth took a deep breath in attempt to calm herself down before she got too emotional, but the words kept tumbling out.

"I'm scared. I don't know how to be a mother, and I don't want the baby to hate me. What if he does hate me?", she ended in a whisper before a single tear dropped out of her eye.

"First of all, we are having a girl. We can name her April!", Percy said, in a ridiculously high-pitched voice that made Annabeth laugh. She knew she could always count on him to ease her nerves with humor.

"Also, remember when Estelle was born? You were smitten with her. Sometimes I wonder if she's my sister or yours!", he said. "Even her first word was 'Beth', not 'Mama' or 'Dada'!", he said, feigning an appalled expression.

"I have no doubt that you'll make our baby a mini Einstein.",he said and then pressed a feather-light kiss to her jaw and continued,

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have been so harsh on you. Just.. take it easy, okay? I don't want either of you to get hurt.", and his lips were on her nose.

Overcome with emotion - Annabeth mentally blamed the pregnancy hormones - and pulled his lips onto hers. Though Percy was surprised at her sudden reaction, he responded eagerly.

Later, Annabeth rested her forehead against him.

"I love you.", she said.

"I love you - both of you.", he replied, and Annabeth knew it was true. This man would be by her side for the rest of her life.

Throughout the years, Percy and Annabeth had their fair shares of arguments, but one thing was certain - they would always come back to each other, because they were meant to be together, stuck with a glue called 'love'.

Thank you so much for reading this story!

This is my very first one, so it's not that great. I was just experimenting with dialogues and expression.

I'm going to now try writing a proper story with a good plot!
